실업계 고등학생의 분노표현방식, 우울 및 공격성과의 관계 (A Study on the Relations among Anger Expression Mode, Depression, and Aggression in Vocational High School Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship among anger expression mode, depression and aggression in vocational high school students and to preview a method to help adolescents who have the tendency of anger, depression or aggression tendency in community mental health situation. Method: In order to get the data by self-reporting questionnaire, 372 subjects were selected from Oct. 1, 2006 to Dec. 18, 2006. The instruments for this study were Spielberger's Anger Expression Scale, Beck's Depression Scale, and Buss & Durkee's Aggression Scale. The dada was analyzed by percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation coefficient using the SPSS 12.0 program. Result: There were significantly positive correlations between anger-in and depression, and between anger-in and aggression. Also there were significantly positive correlations between anger-out and depression, and between anger-out and aggression. There was a significantly positive correlation between depression and aggression. Conclusion: It is necessary to develop a strategy to decrease depression and aggression, and to increase positive anger expression mode for vocational high school students.

보건계열 신입생들의 분노조절정도에 따른 대인관계와 삶의 목적 (Health Allied College Students' Interpersonal Relationships and Purpose-in-Life depending on their Ability to Manage Anger)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the difference and correlation of interpersonal relationship and purpose-in-life in health allied college students depending on their ability to manage anger. Method: A total of 244 students were surveyed using structured questionnaires. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, and Pearson Correlation Coefficient with the SPSS program. Results: No significant difference of interpersonal relationship was observed between the anger controlled group and the anger uncontrolled group. Intimacy (p=.008) and understanding (p=.017) were significantly higher and openness was significantly lower in the anger controlled group (p=.024). Purpose-in-life was significantly higher in the anger controlled group (p<.001). There was no significant correlation of anger management and interpersonal relationship, however, there was significant positive correlation of anger management and purpose-in-life (r=0.15, p=.017) and interpersonal relationship and purpose-in-life (r=0.29, p<.001). Conclusion: An education program for freshmen who cannot control anger can promote interpersonal relationship and purpose-in-life.

Effects of Elderly's Anger Management on Interpersonal Relationships-Mediating Effects of Generativity

  • Purpose: This study examined how interpersonal relationship abilities in the elderly affected anger control abilities, as well as the mediating effects of generativity in the relationships between interpersonal relationships, anger control abilities, and self-integration. Research design, data and methodology: The study consisted of randomly selected 300 elderly people currently residing in welfare centers for the elderly, senior citizens colleges, social welfare facilities and other centers in the Seoul or Gyeonggi area. SPSS 23.0 was utilized for this study. Results: Through this research, the effect of interpersonal relationships on anger control ability and self-integration was observed. Not only that, the effects of interpersonal relationship abilities on anger control and self-integration and the mediating role of generativity, was also closely examined. Conclusion: Anger control ability was found to have a direct positive effect on interpersonal relationship abilities. Anger control ability had a direct and positively correlated effect on self-integration. Additionally, ability to control anger was found to have a positive effect on generativity, and generativity was found to have a positive effect on interpersonal relationship ability, but it was not statistically significant. Anger control ability had a positive effect on generativity, and generativity had a positive effect on self-integration.

학교폭력 예방을 위한 인터넷 기반 분노조절 프로그램의 개발과 효과 검증 (The Effect of an Internet-Based Anger Management Program for School-Aged Children to Prevent School Violence)

  • Objectives : This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of an internet-based anger management program for school-aged children. Methods : Forty-eight elementary school students took part in an anger management training program; subsequently, participants, their parents, and their teachers answered questionnaires assessing the participants' anger, aggressiveness, and other emotional/behavioral problems, pre- and post-training. Results : At the post-training self-assessment, the participants showed significant reductions in their "anger-out" tendencies and physical aggressiveness. In addition, the effects of the program on "anger-out" tendencies, aggressiveness, anger and peer relational problem were found to be more significant in participants who reported depressive symptoms. Teachers rated the participants' peer-relational problems as having decreased after the training. Conclusion : The proposed internet-based anger management program had a significant effect on the school-aged children's abilities to control their anger.

중산층 청소년이 지각한 부모양육태도가 청소년의 분노표현방식에 미치는 영향 (The effect of perceived parenting attitude on the anger expression of middle-class adolescent : the moderating effect of gender)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to find out the moderating effect of gender between parenting attitude and anger expression of adolescent. Particularly, to ensure that the anger of emotion is common nature, this study was conducted on the middle class adolescent of stable economic status. Method: The subjects of this study were 357 students, first grade from 3 high schools in Seoul. Data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, correlation, and hierarchial regression, using the SPSS 18.0 program. Results: The main results were as follows: First, in parenting attitude the perception of monitoring and affection was less important for boys than girls, but more important in over expectation and neglect. Second, in anger expression the level of anger-control appeared higher than anger-in and anger-out, no significant gender difference in subfactors. Third, the effect of gender moderated the relationships between parenting attitude and anger expression of adolescent. Conclusions: The results indicated the need to recognize gender difference in controlling anger of adolescent and to improve dysfunctional parenting attitude in middle class. Furthermore, the implications were discussed in enhancing parent-adolescent communication, developing emotional education programs, and preventing juvenile delinquency.

Acupuncture for Attenuating Frontal Lobe α Band Asymmetry Induced by Anger: a pilot study

  • Objectives: Previous studies have shown that anger can lead to frontal lobe α (8-13 Hz) band asymmetry (FAA) in electroencephalogram (EEG), in accordance with motivational direction. This pilot study aimed to investigate the impact of acupuncture on FAA elicited by anger. Methods: Thirty-four right-handed participants scoring above 75 points on the Novaco Anger Scale were included. Baseline EEG signals were recorded for eight minutes using a 32-channel cap under comfortable conditions. Anger was induced through a nine-minute sequence of Articulated Thoughts in Simulated Situations (ATSS) task. Following that, participants received acupuncture at GB20 and GB21 for 10 minutes. Fast Fourier transform was employed for frequency analysis, and repeated measure ANOVA was conducted for statistical analysis. Results: The results revealed that participants exhibited significantly higher FAA (p = 0.026), particularly in the left hemisphere, after the ATSS task sequence compared to the baseline. During acupuncture treatment, the greater left-sided FAA was significantly reduced (p = 0.027) and reversed. Upon the cessation of acupuncture, FAA returned to a value between the baseline and the anger-evoked stage (p = 0.046). Conclusion: The EEG results of this study revealed that anger stimulation induced an increase in left-sided FAA, which was effectively alleviated by acupuncture. This led to an immediate restoration of FAA asymmetry induced by anger. These findings suggest the potential of acupuncture as a treatment option for reducing FAA associated with anger.

훈방대상 비행청소년의 분노, 분노대처 및 스트레스반응 -비행예방프로그램 참가자를 중심으로- (ANGER, ANGER COPING AND STRESS RESPONSE IN DELINQUENT ADOLESCENTS RELEASED WITH WARNING BY POLICE - FOCUSED ON THE PARTICIPANTS OF THE INTERVENTION PROGRAMS -)

  • 연구 목적 : 본 연구는 가벼운 비행을 저지른 '훈방대상 비행청소년'을 대상으로 분노, 분노대처, 스트레스반응 각각의 특성과 이들의 성별, 학년에 따른 차이를 파악하기 위하여 시행되었다. 방법 : 본 연구의 대상자는 서울시 '사랑의 교실' (비행예방 프로그램)에 참석한 비행청소년 285명과 서울시내 일반청소년 391명(남 : 377명, 여 : 299명/중 346명, 고 : 330명)이었으며, 이들에게 한국판 상태-특성분노표현척도와 사건충격척도를 실시하였다. 결과 : 1) 비행청소년은 일반청소년에 비해서 상태분노, 특성분노, 전체분노 분노표출은 높았고 분노억제, 분노조절, 스트레스반응은 낮았다. 2) 남자 비행청소년이 여자 비행청소년보다 분노조절과 스트레스반응이 더 높았고 분노에서는 유의미한 차이가 없었다. 3) 고등학교 비행청소년에서 중학교 비행청소년에 비해서 특성분노와 분노조절이 더 높았고, 고등학교 일반청소년이 중학교 일반청소년에서보다 스트레스반응이 더 높았다. 결론 : '훈방대상 비행청소년'은 일반청소년과는 분노, 분노대처, 스트레스반응에서 차이를 보였으며, 학년과 성별에 따라서도 차이를 보였다. 이러한 특성들은 이들을 대상으로 하는 프로그램에 더욱 쉽고 효과적으로 적용 될 수 있다.

본태성 고혈압환자들과 정상인들 간의 분노의 비교 (Comparison of Anger between Patients with Essential Hypertension and Normal Controls)

  • 본 연구에서는 성인 고혈압환자 50명과 성인 정상인 50명을 대상으로 분노척도를 이용하여 분노의 표현 및 억압정도를 비교하였다. 그리고 양군에서 각각 분노척도점수와 수축기 및 확장기 혈압, 혈청 총콜레스테롤, 고지질 및 중성지방(triglyceride)치 간의 상관성을 조사하였다. 양군의 성별, 연령, 교육수준 및 BMI를 짝짓기하였고 2회 이상 혈압측정과 함께 채혈하여 혈청 총콜레스테롤, 고지질 및 중성지방치를 측정하였다. 고혈압환자군은 정상인들에 비해서 분노억압척도접수가 유의하게 더 높은 반면 정상인들은 고혈압환자들에 비해 분노표현척도접수가 유의하게 더 높았다. 그러나 전체분노척도접수는 양군 간에 유의한 차이가 없었다. 고혈압환자군에서는 분노억압 및 표현척도접수가 혈압, 혈청 총 콜레스테롤, 고지질 및 중성지방치 간에 유의한 상관성이 없으나 정상인들에서는 분노억압척도점수가 수축기 혈압과 유의한 양상관성을 보였다. 고혈압환자군에서 분노표현척도 접수가 남자가 여자보다 유의하게 더 높았고 정상인들에서는 남자가 여자보다 분노표현척도 및 분노전체척도점수가 유의하게 더 높았다. 이상의 결과들은 고혈압환자들이 정상인들에 비해 분노를 더 억압하고 정상인들에서는 분노의 억압이 고혈압을 일으킬 위험이 있음을 시사해 주어 분노의 억압이 고혈압과 관련된다는 기존 결과를 지지해 준다.

분노 경험 회상시 특성 분노 수준에 따른 뇌 기능 (Brain Function During Recall of Anger Experience According to the Level of Trait Anger)

  • 특성 분노는 분노 경험과 관련된 개인의 심리 특성 중 하나로, 특성 분노가 높은 이들은 낮은 이들에 비해 더 자주, 더 강하게, 더 길게 분노를 경험한다. 본 연구의 목적은 분노를 경험하는 동안에 활성화되는 뇌 영역을 관찰하고, 활성화된 뇌 영역 중 특성 분노와 연관이 있는 영역을 확인하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 실험 참가자 35명을 대상으로 과거에 분노했던 기억을 회상하여 분노를 유발하는 과제를 수행하는 동안의 뇌 기능을 측정하였다. 정서적 중립 사건을 회상하는 조건에 비해 분노 사건을 회상하는 조건에서 더 활성화된 뇌 영역은 우측 superior temporal gyrus (BA38), 좌측 inferior frontal gyrus (BA45), 우측 thalamus, 우측 insula (BA13), 양측 cuneus (BA17), 그리고 우측 cerebellum anterior lobe으로 나타났다. 분노 회상 시 뇌 활성화 정도와 특성 분노 점수 간 상관 분석 결과, 특성 분노 점수가 높을수록 분노 회상시 우측 insula의 활성화가 높았다. Insula가 정서 경험과 신체 내부감각수용기에서 오는 정보를 통합하여 자극에 대한 주관적인 느낌을 표상하는 영역으로 알려져 있으므로, 특성 분노가 높은 사람일수록 분노 자극에 대한 주관적인 느낌을 더 강하게 표상한다고 해석할 수 있다. 이 연구 결과는 분노의 개인차에 대한 뇌 기제를 규명한 것으로, 분노 및 분노 조절 관련 문제들에 대한 신경과학적 이해를 향상시키는데 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

청소년의 분노표현방식 군집에 따른 우울, 공격성, 부정정서강도의 차이 (The Differences of Depression, Aggression, Negative Affect Intensity in Cluster of Adolescent Aggression Expression)

  • 본 연구는 청소년을 대상으로 하여 분노표현의 하위차원인 분노조절, 분노억제 및 분노표출 방식 별로 군집 양상을 구분하고, 간 군집 별로 우울과 공격성, 부정정서강도에 있어서 어떠한 차이가 나타나는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 남녀 중학생을 대상으로 설문조사를 진행하고 총 296명의 자료를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 분노조절, 분노억제 및 분노표출에 대한 군집분석 결과, 네 개의 프로파일 군집이 추출되었다. 군집 1은 '억제 및 표출형 분노조절형', 군집 2는 '분노억제 및 표출형', 군집 3은 '분노처리 미숙형', 군집 4는 '표출적 분노조절형'으로 구분되었다. 둘째, 이러한 네 개의 군집 별로 우울과 공격성, 부정정서 강도의 차이가 유의하게 나타났다. 즉, 군집 4인 '표출적 분노조절형'이 다른 군집들에 비해 유의하게 더 높은 우울감을 나타내었고, 군집 3인 '분노처리 미숙형'은 다른 군집들보다 더 큰 공격성을 나타내었다. 한편, 군집 2인 '분노억제 및 표출형'이 군집 4인 '표출적 분노조절형'보다 부정정서강도가 더 높았다. 이러한 결과를 통해, 청소년 교육 및 상담을 통한 시사점에 대해 논의하였다.
