This paper proposes an efficient computation method for fixed and mixed polarity Reed -Muller function vector over Galois field GF(p). Function vectors of fixed polarity Heed Muller function with single variable can be generated by proposed method. The n-variable function vectors can be calculated by means of the Kronecker product of a single variable function vector corresponding to each variable. Thus, all fixed and mixed polarity Reed-Muller function vectors are calculated directly without using a polarity function vector table or polarity coefficient matrix.

In order to remove the assumption of full state availability which is one of the major difficulties with the practical realization of variable structure control systems,a new switching function with a dynamic structure is proposed. And the control performances of the output feedback variable structure control systems with the dynamic switching function are evaluated through simulation studies. The proposed dynamic switching function is driven by small number of measured output and input variables while conventional static switching function requires full state information. Therefore, the proposition of the dynamic swiching function makes practical implementation of output feedback variable structure control scheme possible for the systems with unmeasurable state variables, high order systems and large scale systems that the conventional variable structure control schemes with static switching function cannot be applied. In the variable structure control systems with the dynamic switching function, desired control performance can be guaranteed by proper choice of design parameters such as poles of switching function dynamic equation and switching control gains even though small number of measured output and input variables are provided as shown in simulation resuls.
Because protein is a primary element responsible for biological or biochemical roles in living bodies, protein function is the core and basis information for biomedical studies. However, recent advances in bio technologies have created an explosive increase in the amount of published literature; therefore, biomedical researchers have a hard time finding needed protein function information. In this paper, a classification system for biomedical literature providing protein function evidence is proposed. Note that, despite our best efforts, we have been unable to find previous studies on the proposed issue. To classify papers based on protein function evidence, we should consider whether the main claim of a paper is to assert a protein function. We, therefore, propose two novel features - protein and assertion. Our experimental results show a classification performance with 71.89% precision, 90.0% recall, and a 79.94% F-measure. In addition, to verify the usefulness of the proposed classification system, two case study applications are investigated - information retrieval for protein function and automatic summarization for protein function text. It is shown that the proposed classification system can be successfully applied to these applications.

In Korea, we still use function point based cost estimations for software size and cost of a project. The current problem is that we make difficultly calculating function points with requirements and also have less accurate. That is, it is difficult for non-experts to analyze requirements and calculate function point values with them, and even experts often derive different function points. In addition, all stakeholders strongly make the validity and accuracy of the function point values of the project before /after the development is completed. There are methods for performing function point analysis using source code [1][2][3][4] and some researchers [5][6][7] attempt empirical verification of function points about the estimated cost. There is no research on automatic cost validation with source code after the final development is completed. In this paper, we propose automatically how to calculate Function Points based on natural language requirements before development and prove FP calculation based on the final source code after development. We expect validation by comparing the function scores calculated by forward engineering and reverse engineering methods.
To reduce tsunami hazards, it is necessary to develope the methods which can simulate tsunami wave signals of coastal areas. In the present paper, it is attempted t use Sign Method for analyzing and simulating recorded tsunami signals. A tsunami record Y(t) can be represented as the convolution integral of a source evolution function E(t') and a wave propagation function K(t-t') Y(t)=.int. E(t')K(t-t')dt' A source function contains the peculiarities of a tsunami generator. A wave function is a kind of transfer function which contains the characteristics of a wave propagation path. The source functions and the wave function and the wave functions of 9 Korean coast points and 6 Japan coast points are estimated, and the tsunami wave signals are simulated by the convolution integrals of the source functions and the wave functions. According to the results of analysis, the Sign Method is an effective method for simulating tsunami wave signals of Korean coast points which are located far from tsunami source areas. Furthermore, if the source function of a neighboring point ad the wave function of an another tsunami are given, unrecorded tsunami wave also can be estimated.
Purpose: We investigated the effects of transcranial stimulation and task-oriented training on upper extremity and cognitive function in chronic stroke patients. Methods: A total of 30 patients were randomly divided into transcranial stimulation and task-oriented training groups (TT) and task-oriented training groups (TO). The TT group performed 30 min 5 times a week for 4 weeks in task-oriented training combined with transcranial direct current stimulation. The TO group performed 30 min 5 times a week for 4 weeks in task-oriented training. To measure upper extremity function, the Jebsen-Taylor Hand Function Test, Manual Function Test, and Cognitive Function Test were performed using the Stroop Test and the Trail Making Test. Results: There was a significant difference (P < 0.05) before and after training in both groups, and the TT group showed significant improvement in both groups. Conclusion: In this study, we confirmed transcranial stimulation and task-oriented training in upper extremity function and cognitive function in patients with chronic strokes.
The purpose of study is to propose the possibilities of finding trigonometric function values using trigonometric function graphs instead of the unit circle method. And it is to discuss how to enhance relating trigonometric function value finding to graphs construction, and students conceptual understanding of the properties of trigonometric functions. The conclusions of this study are the effectiveness of function value finding using trigonometric function graphs, the use of a precise term of function value finding given general angles, consideration of a link between function value finding and graphs, and the possibility of teaching trigonometric function graphs in advance of function value finding.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the change of students 'perception and expression about the motion of object following distance function $={x \atop 3}$ and distance function $y=\frac{x^3}{3}+3$ according to the necessity of research on students' perception and expression about integral constant. In this paper, we present the recognition and the expression of the difference of the constant in the relationship between the distance function and the speed function of the students, while examining the process of constructing the speed function and the inverse process of the distance function. This provides implications for the relationship between the derivative and the indefinite integral corresponding to the inverse process. In particular, in a teaching experiment, a constructive activity was performed to analyze the motion of two distance functions, where the student had a difference of the constant term. At this time, the students used the expression 'starting point' for the constants in the distance function, and the motion was interpreted by using the meaning. This can be seen as a unique 'students' mathematics' in the process of analyzing the motion of objects. These scenes, in introducing the notion of the relation between differential and indefinite integral, it is beyond the comprehension of the integral constant as a computational procedure, so that the learner can understand the meaning of the integral constant in relation to the motion of the object. It is expected that it will be a meaningful basic research on the relationship between differential and integral.
Objective: This study aims to investigate the relationship between dental status and oral function by analyzing those in some long-term care elderly patients. Methods: It performed oral examination and 4 oromotor function examinations such as repeated swallowing function, correct pronunciation function, saliva secretion rate and maximum mouth opening to 91 elderly patents aged 65 and older in the municipal geriatric hospital located in Cheonan. Results: Dental status of patients such as the number of dental caries, treated teeth, retained teeth and function teeth were better in mobile elderly patients than in immobile elderly patients. Attachment rate of dental plaque and the number of teeth being extracted were more in mobile patients than in immobile patients. More retained teeth, the number of function teeth and dental caries and the score in pronunciation status test were significantly higher. With more function teeth, the score in pronunciation status test was significantly higher. As saliva secretion rate is higher, repeated swallowing function was significantly better. repeated swallowing function rate is higher pronunciation status was significantly better. Conclusions: With the results of this study, it was found that among long-term care elderly patients, oral function was worse in immobile patients than in mobile patients. Therefore, it may be necessary to plan and perform an oral function improvement program preferentially for elderly patients requiring long-term care.

The Preisach model needs a distribution function or Everett function to simulate the hysteresis phenomena. To obtain these functions, many experimental data obtained from the first order transition curves are usually required. In this paper, a simple procedure to determine the Preisach density function using the Gaussian distribution function and genetic algorithm is proposed. The Preisach density function for the interaction field axis is known to have Gaussian distribution. To determine the density and distribution, genetic algorithm is adopted to decide the Gaussian parameters. With this method, just basic data like the initial magnetization curve or saturation curves are enough to get the agreeable density function. The results are compared with experimental data and we got good agreements comparing the simulation results with the experiment ones.
