어스앵커의 인발저항력 - 온실의 내풍성에 관한 연구 - (Uplift Capacity of Earth Anchor in Sand - Study on the windproof characteristics of a Greenhouse -)

  • The uplift capacity and displacement of an earth anchor for improving the wind resistance of the 1-2W type plastic film pipe on greenhouse was tested using the steel circular vertical earth anchor with various diameters and embedded depths (L) in dry sand. The diameter (B) of the model anchor is 90mm, 120mm, 150mm, respectively. The model tests were performed embedded depth ratios (L/B) ranging from $1{\sim}3$ in loose density. In the case of diameter 90mm, as the uplift loading increased, the uplift capacity also increased until the loading was reached to ultimate uplift capacity. After that, the uplift capacity was continually increased or decreased until the experiment was finished. In general, the ultimate uplift capacity was different depending upon the anchor diameter and embedded depth ratios.

  • FBG Sensor, which is smaller than strain gauge and has better durability and does not have a noise from electromagnetic waves, was adapted to develope a smart anchor. A series of pullout tests were performed to verify the feasibility of smart anchor and find out the load transfer mechanism around the steel wire fixed to rock with grout. Distribution of shear stresses at steel wire-grout interface is assessed from the measured strain distribution by the optical fiber sensors and compared with stress distributions predicted by Farmer's and Aydan's formulas. It was found that present theoretical formulas may underestimate the failure depth and magnitude of shear stresses when the pullout loads increase.

풍화암에 근입된 그라운드 앵커의 인발거동 연구 (A Study on the Pullout Behavior of Ground Anchored in Weatherd Rock)

  • This study is an numerical study of predicting the behavior of anchor embedded in weathered rocks, subjected to uplift loads, about ultimate pullout capacity and the failure mechanism. Factors influencing the behavior of anchors were investigated by reviewing the data about in-situ anchor tests performing numerical modelling with changing the bondage length of anchor, diameter of anchor body and diameter of tenden, and by Correlations between those factors were evaluated to apply them to predict the behavior of anchors. As results of numerical analysis, a linear relationship between bondage length, diameter of anchor body and diameter of tenden with ultimate pullout capacity was obtained on the one hand, from the result of numerical analysis changing the Young's modulus of weathered rock, this parameter was found to inflence to load-displacement and ultimate pullout capacity within the range of 10%, which was mot so significant to affect.

  • Repeated pulling-out of a suture anchor in the lateral row despite repeated attempts at insertion during a rotator cuff repair is not uncommon with the suture-bridge technique, especially in patients with osteoporosis. We describe a simple procedure for dealing with the pull-out of a PushLock anchor in the lateral row using a suture anchor with a suture eyelet during rotator cuff repair applying the suture-bridge technique.

A New Anchor Shot Detection System for News Video Indexing

  • In this paper, we propose a novel anchor shot detection system, named to MASD (Multi-phase Anchor Shot Detection), which is a core step of the preprocessing process for the news video analysis. The proposed system is composed of four modules and operates sequentially: 1) skin color detection module for reducing the candidate face regions; 2) face detection module for finding the key-frames with a facial data; 3) vector representation module for the key-frame images using a non-negative matrix factorization; 4) one class SVM module for determining the anchor shots using a support vector data description. Besides the qualitative analysis, our experiments validate that the proposed system shows not only the comparable accuracy to the recently developed methods, but also more faster detection rate than those of others.

  • Fluid Confirmation Tests(FCT) on 1500 ground Anchors install in weathered rock were carried out to investigate upper and lower limit of elastic elongation, frictional resistant of fixed anchor body, mobilized angle between anchor body and soil. All the measured data were analysed and compared with theoretical equations. The frictional angles of diaphragm wall and anchorage system in weathered rock showed nonlinear curve between upper and lower limit of standard elongation. The FCT results indicated that the frictional resistant angles increased with higher values of surcharge load. The quality assurance on the fixed anchor location was investigated by means of measuring elastic elongation during the FCT, and comparing these with theoretical design length, the quality of anchors in this particular site found to be above average standard. The results of this research works with provide valuable guide line on quality assurance of anchors system as well as resonable prediction of friction resistance between the fixed anchor body and the weathered rock.

  • The pulse powered anchor is a way to increase the capacity of ground anchor. The pulse powered anchor is an underreamed anchor by using high voltage electrokinetic pulse energy. In this study, property of cement grout for pulse powered underreamed anchor have been carried out. This study is what is the cement grout of pulse powered, for minimize seperation or sweep of cement grout when the soil layer is saturated with water.

  • Ground anchor should not be used in soft clay, because anchor resistance can not be guaranteed. However, there is a way to increase the capacity of anchors. The anchor is an underreamed anchor by using high voltage electric discharge energy. In this study, a series of field test were carried out in order to find ultimate load of underreamed anchors in weathered soil at the new apartment construction site located in Inchon, Korea. Data were analyzed in order to define a relation between ultimate load and the number of electric discharge.

  • 본 논문에서는 산업현장에서 안전사고 빈도가 높은 지게차 전복에 대비하여 적재중량을 측정하기 위해 적용할 수 있는 strain gauge 센서 모듈구현 결과를 제시한다. 센서 모듈은 strain gauge, LNA, LPF 및 ADC로 구성하였으며, 센서의 측량정밀도와 내구성을 높이기 위해 4개의 센서가 각각 4개의 anchor bolt에 삽입되는 구조로 제작하였다.

Metastasis of renal cell carcinoma around suture anchor implants

  • We present an unusual case of bone metastases from renal cell carcinoma around orthopedic implants in a 78-year-old female with osteolytic, expansile, highly vascularized, malignant infiltration around suture anchors in the proximal humerus. The patient had undergone arthroscopic rotator cuff repair using suture anchor implants 6 years previously. After diagnosis of bone metastasis, she was successfully treated with metastasectomy and internal fixation using a plate and screws, with cement augmentation. This report is the first to document metastases around a suture anchor in a bone and suggests the vulnerability of suture anchor implants to tumor metastasis.
