In this thesis we attempt to analyze modern Korean poetic texts in the franmeworks of text limgisitics and cognitive pragmatics. Both frameworks describe and explai human verbal communicantion in terms of congnitive information-processing procedures.By utilizing analytical devices provided by seven standards of textuality we can analyze any type of text,especially in terms of the cognitive operations underlying the production and reception processes.It is clamed in cognitive pragmatic framework that human ostensive inforential communication is regulated by the Principle of Relevance.We claim that the relevance-based framework of pragmatics provides evidence and rationale for those cognitive operations identified in the text linguistic framework. poetic texts involve every kind of cognitive strategies and processing procedures underlying human verbal communication.So,if modern Korean poetic texts are satisfactorily analyzed by text linguistics and cognitive pragmatics,it means that both frameworks are very useful tools for analyzing texts and that all the other text types which are less complicated than poetic text will also be analyzed by these frameworks. Researchers of poetry,and poets,are sensitive to poetic effects.They feel more of poeticity while reading poetic texts than ordinary readers do.However,these researchers or poets sometimes give different interpretation of a single poetic text.The interpretation of poetry cannot be anything,because poets write poems with particular intertions and do not just throw them out so as to be interpreted at ramdom.This thesis suggersts that the poeticity felt by the reader can be described and accounted for in a scientific way.In other words,text linguistics and cognitive pragmatics enable the researchers of poetry to become objective in interpreting poetic texts. It will be clearly shown that we have to see poetic texts from a cognitive perspective,since they are by-products of cognitive processing performed by discourse participants.

Seafarers can confront to evacuate from the ship with many reasons such as collision, grounding and fire accident. It believes that evacuation time from ship is very important element in order to increase survival rate in the contingency circumstance, however narrow and complex structure of ship is one of obstacle element against prompt evacuation. Taking into consideration the unique structure of ship compared to the structure of other facilities, speed of fire propagation on board ship is faster than the same size of other type facilities. Therefore, measures to prompt evacuation are required. But it comes with the behavioral constraints of the crews and passengers of the nature of operating in a complex structure with narrow vessels. Therefore, in this study, we propose a formula to be analyzed by theoretical approach and simulation methods to improve the survival rate for the crew and passenger of the ship through the ship's structural modification. We analyzed the temperature rise and visibility which are the most influential effects on the life safety in the event of fire by using a three-dimensional analysis of sight-only program Fire Dynamic Simulator (FDS) as analytical tools.
Transmission tower-line systems are commonly slender and generally possess a small stiffness and low structural damping. They are prone to impulsive excitations induced by cable rupture and may experience strong vibration. Excessive deformation and vibration of a transmission tower-line system subjected to cable rupture may induce a local destruction and even failure event. A little work has yet been carried out to evaluate the performance of transmission tower-line systems in mountain areas subjected to cable rupture. In addition, the control for cable rupture induced vibration of a transmission tower-line system has not been systematically conducted. In this regard, the dynamic response analysis of a transmission tower-line system in mountain areas subjected to cable rupture is conducted. Furthermore, the feasibility of using viscous fluid dampers to suppress the cable rupture-induced vibration is also investigated. The three dimensional (3D) finite element (FE) model of a transmission tower-line system is first established and the mathematical model of a mountain is developed to describe the equivalent scale and configuration of a mountain. The model of a tower-line-mountain system is developed by taking a real transmission tower-line system constructed in China as an example. The mechanical model for the dynamic interaction between the ground and transmission lines is proposed and the mechanical model of a viscous fluid damper is also presented. The equations of motion of the transmission tower-line system subjected to cable rupture without/with viscous fluid dampers are established. The field measurement is carried out to verify the analytical FE model and determine the damping ratios of the example transmission tower-line system. The dynamic analysis of the tower-line system is carried out to investigate structural performance under cable rupture and the validity of the proposed control approach based on viscous fluid dampers is examined. The made observations demonstrate that cable rupture may induce strong structural vibration and the implementation of viscous fluid dampers with optimal parameters can effectively suppress structural responses.
Purpose - The Millennial Generation, which grew in the wake of the spread of the Internet and rapid changes in the media environment, is rapidly moving from the traditional broadcasting environment to the Internet-broadcasting environment in terms of content acceptance. With the emergence of UGC (User-generated content), the change in the status of single-person content creators enables the growth of multi-channel networks (MCN), a new content-distribution platform and an agency concept for single creators. Youtube-based MCN produces multiple single star producers and casts and provides its own video series through Youtube. It is also emerging as a major M&A target for global media providers in terms of providing content to a wide range of consumers with the same interests and consumption characteristics. In addition, for the Millennials generation, which are part of their lives, MCN is becoming the most suitable media for TGIF (Twitter, Google, i-phone, Facebook). Accordingly, this study defines newly emerging MCNs and analyzes the factors for accepting MCN-produced content based on the push-pull-mooring (PPM) model. Research design, data, and methodology - An empirical analysis is performed through a questionnaire survey. For this purpose, 204 people who have experience of watching MCN were studied. Collected data is processed through analysis of a structural equation model using R to test the hypothesis. Results - For the MCN service to become an alternative to existing media, it is necessary to continuously promote cultural diversity and diversity of attempts that conventional media cannot provide. It is the attractiveness of the alternative that has the greatest influence on the intention to switch to a MCN service. When we look at MCN content so far, certain patterns such as game progress, introduction, food, and chat rooms have already appeared. We need to overcome this and develop a completely new conceptual content that we have never seen before. This requires a more generous viewer perception of the topics covered. For diversity, linguistic and verbal violence should be tolerant in common sense to provide a foundation for securing cultural diversity. Conclusions - In this study, we tried to develop a comprehensive approach to the substitution effect of MCN. In terms of academic achievement, the PPM model is used to enhance the utilization of media and broadcasting. Practical implications are to provide an analytical framework for verifying alternative or complementary effects when viewers switch to MCN.
Purpose : the management of University Hospital is being challenged in maintenance of reasonable level of income and high ranked reputation by domestic competition with each other and emergence of enterprised owned hospitals. It is imperative that University Hospitals have to make management for patient satisfaction. Furthermore, increased patient's requirement for qualified hospital services (quality assurance) and low-estimated service fee also repress the hospital management condition as well as medical markets open following with Urguay Connection. Due to these unforable conditions surrounding hospital management, -University Hospitals are being pressed to seek improved management strategies. To develope the strategies, we need to have basic understanding about the problems on hospital management and detail information for various patient's requirement. Methods: For this study, we have analysed out-patients from five different University Hospitals located in Seoul, Korea. To obtain the data, we have carried out personal interviews with patients who patients who visit the Out-Patient Clinics of five different University Hospitals using a previously prepared questionnaire. Result: Around 65.7 percent of the visits to University Hospitals were indwelt in the vicinity of 1 hour and motuvation of visiting University Hospital was expending high wuality medical csre in 49.3 percent. The 79.3 percent of the patients have experienced inconvenience during medical care in University Hospital. The most inconvenient condition was waiting for doctors. The 57.2 percent of total patient have experienced rudness. The most rudness condition was registration and receipt desk in 44.4 percent. Patient expect that doctors working in University Hospitals as professors have high and updated medical knowledge(50.4%) and University Hospitals have a high quality medical care system(79.4%). The patient satisfaction was relatively low in 61.1 percent of total patient and revealed high frequency of again visit University Hospital in satisfaction group. Comparison of interhospital analytical study showed quite difference on various problems. Conclusion: Almost patients who visit to Out-Patient Clinic of University Hospital havevisiting motivation to high quality medical care. University Hospitals have several different unsatisfactorial factors and revealed different degree of patient satisfaction. In a future day, University Hospitals have to make use of another University Hospital's merits for approach of Benchmarking and also should be studied decision factors of patient satisfaction and interhospital difference of them.

High-availability seamless redundancy (HSR) is a protocol for fault-tolerant Ethernet (FTE) networks. It provides two frame copies and each copy is forwarded on a separate physical path, which provides zero fail-over time. Therefore, the HSR is becoming a potential candidate for various real-time FTE applications. However, the generation and circulation of unnecessary frames due to the duplication of every sending frame is inherent drawback of HSR. Such drawback degrades the performance of the network and may deplete its resources. In this paper, we present a new algorithm called port locking (PL) based on the media access control (MAC) address to solve the abovementioned problem in popular connected-rings network. Our approach makes the network gradually learn the locations of the source and the destination nodes without relying on network control frames. It then prunes all the rings that do not contain the destination node by locking corresponding rings' entrance ports. With the PL algorithm, the traffic can be significantly reduced and therefore the network performance will be greatly enhanced specially in a large scale connected-rings network. Analytical results are provided to validate the PL algorithm.

Geodemographics(GD) can be defined as an analytical approach of socio-economic and behavioral data about people to investigate geographical patterns. GD is based on the assumptions that demographical and behavioral characteristics of people who live in the same neighborhood are similar and then the neighborhoods can be categorized with spatial classifications with the geographical classifications. Thus, this paper, in order to identify the applicability of the geographical classification of the GD, explores the concepts of the geodemographics into Seoul city areas with Korea census data sets that contain key characteristics of demographic profiles in the area. Then, this paper attempt to explain each area classification profile by using clustering techniques with Ward's and k-means statistical methods. For this as as as, this paper employs 2005 Census dataset released by Korea National Statistics Office and the neighborhood unit is based on Dong level, the smallest administrative boundary unit in Korea. After selecting and standardizing variables, several areas are categorized by the cluster techniques into 13, this paps as distinctive cluster profiles. These cluster profiles are used to cthite a short description and expand on the cluster names. Finally, the results of the classification propose a reasonable judgement for target area types which benefits for the people who make a spatial decision for their spatial problem-solving.
As one of the processes in the manufacturing industry, quality inspection inspects the intermediate products or final products to separate the good-quality goods that meet the quality management standard and the defective goods that do not. The manual inspection of quality in a mass production system may result in low consistency and efficiency. Therefore, the quality inspection of mass-produced products involves automatic checking and classifying by the machines in many processes. Although there are many preceding studies on improving or optimizing the process using the data generated in the production process, there have been many constraints with regard to actual implementation due to the technical limitations of processing a large volume of data in real time. The recent research studies on big data have improved the data processing technology and enabled collecting, processing, and analyzing process data in real time. This paper aims to propose the process and details of applying big data for quality inspection and examine the applicability of the proposed method to the dairy industry. We review the previous studies and propose a big data analysis procedure that is applicable to the manufacturing sector. To assess the feasibility of the proposed method, we applied two methods to one of the quality inspection processes in the dairy industry: convolutional neural network and random forest. We collected, processed, and analyzed the images of caps and straws in real time, and then determined whether the products were defective or not. The result confirmed that there was a drastic increase in classification accuracy compared to the quality inspection performed in the past.
A three-dimensional numerical model called NEWTANK is employed to investigate solitary wave run-up with an internal wave-maker on a steep slope. The numerical model solves the spatially averaged Navier-Stokes equations for two-phase flows. The LES (large-eddy-simulation) approach is adopted to model the turbulence effect by using the Smagorinsky SGS (sub-grid scale) closure model. A two-step projection method is adopted in numerical solutions, aided by the Bi-CGSTAB (Bi-Conjugate Gradient Stabilized) method to solve the pressure Poisson equation for the filtered pressure field. The second-order accurate VOF (volume-of-fluid) method is used to track the distorted and broken free surface. A solitary wave is first internally generated and propagated over a constant water depth in the three-dimensional domain. Numerically predicted results are compared with analytical solutions and numerical errors are analyzed in detail. The model is then applied to study solitary wave run-up on a steep slope and the obtained results are compared with available laboratory measurements.

This study involves an analytical approach to determine transit dispatching schedules (headways) Determining a time schedule is an important process in transit system planning. In general, the transit headway should be shorter during the peak hour than at non-peak hours for demand-responsive service. It allows passengers to minimize their waiting time under inelastic, fixed demand conditions. The transit headway should be longer as operating costs increase, and shorter as demand and waiting time increase. Optimal headway depends on the amount of ridership. and each individual vehicle dispatching time depends on the distribution of the ridership. This study provides a theoretical foundation for the dispatching scheme consistent with common sense. Previous research suggested a dispatching scheme with even headway. However, according to this research, that is valid for a specific case when the demand pattern is uniform. This study is a general analysis expanding that previous research. This study suggests an easy method to set a time table without a complex and difficult calculation. Further. if the time axis is changed to the space axis instead, this study could be expanded to address the spacing problems of some facilities such as roads. stations, routes and others.
