  • This study uses text mining compares and contrasts consumers' social media discourses on dietary related zero-waste movement before and after COVID-19. The results indicate that the amount of buzz on social networks for the zero- waste movement has been increasing after COVID-19. Additionally, the results of frequency analysis and topic modeling revealed that subjects associated with zero-waste movement were more diversified after COVID-19. Although the results of a sentiment analysis and word cloud visualization confirmed that consumers' positive responses toward the zero-waste have been increasing, they also revealed a need to educate and encourage those who are still not aware of the need for zero-waste. Finally, consumers mentioned only a small number of companies participating in zero-waste movement on SNS, indicating that the level of active involvement by such companies is much lower than that of consumers. Theoretical and educational implications as well as those for government policy-making are considered.

  • Based on theories and case analysis, the present research concerns the deduction of useful results about the basic stage for setting up a planar plan for children's play therapy facility, which cures children's psychological problems such as social maladaptation by means of play rather than language. The case analysis was sub-categorized into movement in each area, relative position among areas, and the size of each room. Detailed investigations were made concerning: First, Adjacent areas of each area. Second, Movement plan, which was sub-categorized into the movement of therapists and that of the children receiving therapy and guardians; area was sub-categorized into management area, therapy area and service area. Third, the size of each area measured was calculated to be expressed as the percentage of the total size. The result is as follows: (1) As for adjacent areas, in some cases management area and service area were adjacent, with isolated therapy area; whereas in the other cases, service area and information area, which is a part of management area, were placed along the doorway, with therapy area between them and therapist area, which is the other part of management area, behind them. (2) As for movement, the movement of therapists and that of children receiving therapy were same; whereas the movement of guardians was allowed only up to the middle part of the therapy facilities, and there was almost no entry of guardians into the play therapy rooms located in the inner parts. This is because they do not show the details of their therapy for children to guardians. (3) As for size, the area of independent facilities were similar; whereas institutional facilities in general had larger waiting room and unlike independent facilities, were of diverse size.

  • This paper presents the result of numerical simulation of particles trace following melted zinc movement with nitrogen gas injection. The code of the computational fluid dynamics for numerical analysis was performed using FLUENT related to CFD. As application model, there was applied Eulerian multiphase model for simulation of melted zinc movement at first and then was used stochastic tracking technique for particles trace secondarily. Numerical simulation results are shown that particles move to the same direction as the movement of melted zinc.

  • Recently reclamation land is largely developed to utilize the land according to economic growth. The soil of landfill is soft, low shear strength, which makes it difficult to use the equipment. A large movement is occurred on the utility tunnel under construction. The inclined land with high water level and underground facilities are widely distributed and the excess pore water pressure may occur under construction similarly to this study. Some different conditions are made to design result, such as 4m of soil piling near the construction area, heavy rainfall during 2nd excavation that may cause flow liquefaction. To analyze the cause of transverse lateral movement, Three dimensional analysis are performed to four load cases, which is original design condition, flow liquefaction by heavy rainfall, unsymmetric lateral soil pressure, and both of them simultaneously. Ten steps of full construction stage, 1st excavation for utility tunnel, construction of utility tunnel, 1st refill, piling soil from 1m to 4 m, 2nd excavation for drainage culvert, liquefaction around the utility tunnel, construction of drainage culvert and 2nd refill, are take into account to investigate the cause of movement.

  • This study presents a steel container crane movement analysis and assessment based on structural health monitoring (SHM). The accelerometers are used to monitor the dynamic crane behavior and a 3-D finite element model (FEM) was designed to express the static displacement of the crane under the different load cases. The multi-input single-output nonlinear autoregressive neural network with external input (NNARX) model is used to identify the crane dynamic displacements. The FEM analysis and the identification model are used to investigate the safety and the vibration state of the crane in both time and frequency domains. Moreover, the SHM system is used based on the FEM analysis to assess the crane behavior. The analysis results indicate that: (1) the mean relative dynamic displacement can reveal the relative static movement of structures under environmental load; (2) the environmental load conditions clearly affect the crane deformations in different load cases; (3) the crane deformations are shown within the safe limits under different loads.

  • The objective of the present study was to investigate the effect of eye movement on cognitive ability using Mini-Mental State Examination for Dementia Screening (MMSE-DS) and the amplitude and latency of P300 from event-related potentials after 55 elderly participants were randomly stratified into the saccadic eye movement (SEM) group and the smooth pursuit eye movement (SPEM) group, and performed eye movement for 4 weeks. As a result, P300 amplitude significantly increased and P300 latency significantly shortened in the SEM and SPEM groups. MMSE-DS showed a significant increase in both groups; upon comparing the groups, the SEM group showed a significant difference in orientation and the SPEM group in attention. In conclusion, it is thought that SEM and SPEM can improve and maintain the cognitive ability of the elderly and may be used as therapeutic tools for dementia prevention and mild dementia.

  • The purpose of this study was to estimate primary diagnosis, prediction of prognosis and recognition fo treatment progress for treatment of TMD patients through measuring the various ranges of mandibular movement in normal and TMDs patients using Mandibular Kinesiograph K-6 Diagnostic system. In normal groups, 20 adults were selected, who have normal or class I molar relationship, and have no symptoms on TMJ and masticatory muscles, and have restorations less than 3 surfaces on each tooth, and have no other prosthetic restoration. In Patients group, we selected 31 outpatients who were confirmed to TMDs with clinical examination and radiographic findings. The obtained results were as follows : 1. In maximal opening, patient group was showed the limitation of vertical movement range (P<0.01) and lager lateral deviation than in normal group (P<0.05). And actual dimensional displacement of opening was calculated larger in normal group (P<0.05). 2. In protrusive movement, patients group was showed the limitation of anteroposterior movement range (P<0.001) and larger deviation than in normal group (P<0.01). And actual 3 dimensional displacement of protrusion was calculated larger in normal group (P<0.001). 3. In lateral maximum excursion, compared with normal group patient group was no significant differences to affected side, but was showed the limitation of lateral movement to unaffected side (P<0.001). 4. There was no significant difference in movement velocity of opening and closing in both groups. 5. Mandibular movement from physiologic rest position to centric occlusion was moved more anteroposteriorly in patient group. 6. Mandibular movement from centric relation to centric occlusion was no significant difference in both groups.

  • In this research, and investigation of the eye movement was performend when the objects perceived by the eye are three-dimensional objects, two dimensional images, and trhee dimensional images. This investigation was done by observing the EQG(Electro- oculogram) waves which were obtained from experiments. The observed waves were categorized into several groups. Differences among the waves were analyzed for each object and image perceived by the eye. In order to obtain waves for analysis, two kinds of experiments were performen. In each experiment, the saccadic eye movement and the smooth pursuit eye movement were considered as an independent variables. Waves obtained from the experiments were categorized into 4 types (Wave-1, Wave-2, Wave-3, Wave-4) depending on their characteristics. Unlike the other images, three dimensional image was revealed as a key factor for the active movement of the eye. Futhermore, a unique eye movement was observed in the case of three dimensional images where the focus of the eye was achieved through three steps.
