In this paper, A real-time channel module which can apply the wireless propagation channel was developed using USRP and Lab-VIEW. When the proposed channel module is used in conjunction with the implemented HW(hardware) simulators for cognitive radio and frequency interference analysis and so on, it can increase the reliability about wireless propagation environments. In addition, the proposed module overcomes the limit of existing HW simulator that data transfer rate is limitative in communication system through the design of the inner parts. Along with this, it is possible to apply channel parameters necessary to estimate the easier communication performance. Also, this has the advantage that it can be flexibly applied in implementing the communication channel with the upcoming new scenarios. The proposed module can estimate the communication performance via constellation and BER using the implemented module.

Multiple antenna techniques employed in fourth generation mobile communication systems are affected on their performance mostly by transmission environments and antenna configurations. The performance of the indoor LTE(Long-term Evolution) MIMO(multiple input multiple output) has been rigorously evaluated with considering various diversity transmission schemes and propagation conditions in the paper. Specifically, MAC TP(medium access control throughput) and LTE system parameters related to the MIMO technique are analyzed for several indoor propagation conditions. The performance comparison between multiple antenna diversity mode and single antenna mode has been derived as well. The results performed in the paper give the guideline on antenna configurations of polarization diversity in LTE 2×2 MIMO for various indoor channel environments, and possibly are exploited by network operators and antenna manufacturers.
Importance of procuring adequate knowledge about the mechanical behavior of double-layered graphene sheets (DLGSs) incensed the authors to investigate wave propagation responses of mentioned element while rested on a visco-Pasternak medium under hygro-thermal loading. A nonlocal strain gradient theory (NSGT) is exploited to present a more reliable size-dependent mechanical analysis by capturing both softening and hardening effects of small scale. Furthermore, in the framework of a classical plate theory the kinematic relations are developed. Incorporating kinematic relations with the definition of Hamilton's principle, the Euler-Lagrange equations of each of the layers are derived separately. Afterwards, combining Euler-Lagrange equations with those of the NSGT the nonlocal governing equations are written in terms of displacement fields. Interaction of the each of the graphene sheets with another one is regarded by the means of vdW model. Then, a widespread analytical solution is employed to solve the derived equations and obtain wave frequency values. Subsequently, influence of each participant variable containing nonlocal parameter, length scale parameter, foundation parameters, temperature gradient and moisture concentration is studied by plotting various figures.
Steel catenary riser (SCR) is a popular/economical solution for the oil/gas production in deep and ultra-deep water. The behavioral characteristics of SCR have a high correlation with the motion of floating production facility at its survival and operational environments. When large motions of surface floaters occur, such as FPSO in 100-yr storm case, they can cause unacceptable negative tension on SCR near TDZ (touch down zone) and the corresponding elastic deflection can be large due to local dynamic buckling. The generation, propagation, and decay of the elastic wave are also affected by SCR and seabed soil interaction effects. The temporary local dynamic buckling vanishes with the recovery of tension on SCR with the upheaval motion of surface floater. Unlike larger-scale, an-order-of-magnitude longer period global buckling driven by heat and pressure variations in subsea pipelines, the sub-critical local dynamic buckling of SCR is motion-driven and short cycled, which, however, can lead to permanent structural damage when the resulting stress is greatly amplified beyond the elastic limit. The phenomenon is extensively investigated in this paper by using the vessel-mooring-riser coupled dynamic analysis program. It is found that the moment of large downward heave motion at the farthest-horizontal-offset position is the most dangerous for the local dynamic buckling.

In this paper, we developed a simulator which can generate the polarization waves for the indoor wireless communications based on three dimensional ray tracing technique and verified the simulation results comparing with the measured data in indoor wireless propagation environments. Using the developed simulator, we analyzed the channel characteristic and polarization diversity reception characteristic for the vertical, horizontal and circularly polarized waves. From the analysis results, in the case of using circularly polarized wave it can be clearly seen that the multipath fading is markedly reduced compared to the vertical and horizontal polarized waves due to the reception characteristic of removing the odd time reflected waves.

As the role of software increases in computing environments, issues in software security become more important problems. Dynamic taint analysis is a technique to trace and manage tainted data originated from unreliable sources during the execution of a program. This analysis can be applied to software security verification as well as software behavior understanding, testing unexpected errors, or debugging. In the previous researches, they focussed only to show the analysis results of dynamic taint analysis, and they did not logically describe propagation process of tainted data and analysis procedures. So, there were difficulties in understanding the analysis procedures or applying to other analysis. In this paper, by theoretically describing the analysis procedure, we logically show how the propagation process of tainted data can be traced, and present a theoretical model for dynamic taint analysis. In addition, we verify the correctness of the proposed model by implementing an analyser, and show that propagation of tainted data can be traced by the model. The proposed model can be applied to understand the analysis procedures of data flows in dynamic taint analysis, and can be used as an base knowledge for designing and implementing analysis method, which applies such analysis method.

This paper consider the problem of direction of arrival(DOA) estimation in the presence of multipath propagation. The sensor elements are assumed to be linear and uniformly spaced. Numerous authors have advocated the use of a beamforming preprocessor to facilitate application of high resolution direction finding algorithms The benefits cited include reduced computation, improved performance in environments that include spatially colored noise, and enhanced resolution. Performance benefits typically have been demonstrated via specific example. The purpose of this paper is to provide an analysis of a beamspace version of the MUSIC algorithm applicable to two closely spaced emitters in diverse scenarios. Specifically, the analysis is applicable to uncorrelated far field emitters of any relative power level, confined to a known plane, and observed by an arbitrary array of directional antenna. In this paper, we researched about optimize beam forming to smart antenna system. The covariance matrix obtained using fourth order cumulant function. Simulations illustrate the performance of the techniques.

Bacterial self-healing concrete is known to improve the durability of concrete by preventing the propagation of microcracks. In the literature, bacteria prevent the corrosion of rebar by inhibiting water transfer through crack, but also can promote the corrosion by acting as an ion acceptor in the rust generation mechanism. Therefore in this study, the electrochemical analysis of bio-filmed rebar was conducted to explore the effects of the self-healing bacteria on the bare rebar without cement composite. As a result of the experiment contradicting trends for Ecorr and Icorr occurred and additional experiment will be conducted in various environments to collect data on the mechanism of corrosion of rebar by bacteria.

In this paper, an adaptive power control algorithm in the DS/CDMA system is proposed. The currently used transmitter/receiver based on IS-95 and the radio propagation channel under mobile communication environments are modeled. Theses are the key features for the simulation to analyse the performance of power control. the distribution of the received SIR(signal to interference ratio)and the bit error probability are the required parameters for the performance analysis. Furthermore the influence of the power control command error on the above parameters are analyzed. By using the performance analysis of IS-95 and the occurrence of burst errors that is characteristic for wireless channels. the new power control algorithm is proposed. The proposed power control algorithm increases the SIR which results in a better service quality and an enhancement in the system capacity.

With the recent surge in the autonomous driving market, the significance of lane detection technology has escalated. Lane detection plays a pivotal role in autonomous driving systems by identifying lanes to ensure safe vehicle operation. Traditional lane detection models rely on engineers manually extracting lane features from predefined environments. However, real-world road conditions present diverse challenges, hampering the engineers' ability to extract adaptable lane features, resulting in limited performance. Consequently, recent research has focused on developing deep learning based lane detection models to extract lane features directly from data. In this paper, we classify lane detection models into four categories: cluster-based, curve-based, information propagation-based, and anchor-based methods. We conduct an extensive analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of each approach, evaluate the model's performance on an embedded board, and assess their practicality and effectiveness. Based on our findings, we propose future research directions and potential enhancements.
