용융아연 도금공정에서의 SNOUT 내부 유동장 해석 ( I ) (Velocity Field Measurement of Flow Inside SNOUT of Zinc Plating Process ( I ))

  • PIV(Particle Image Velocimetry) velocity field measurements inside the snout of a1/10 scale model of the Zn plating process were carried out at the strip speed $V_s=1.5m/s$. Aluminum powder particles ($1{\mu}m$) and atomized olive oil ($3{\mu}m$) were used as seeding particles to simulate the molten Zinc flow and deoxidization gas flow, respectively. A pulsed Nd:Yag laser and a $2K{\times}2K$ high-resolution CCD camera were synchronized for the PIV velocity field measurement. From flow visualization study, it is found that the liquid flow in the Zn pot is dominantly governed by the uprising flow caused by the rotating sink roll, with its effect on the steel strip inside the snout largely diminished by installing of the snout. The deoxidization gas flow in front of the strip inside the snout can be characterized by a large-scale vortex rotating clockwise direction formed by the moving strip. In the rear side of the strip, a counter-clockwise vortex is formed and some of the flow entrained by the moving strip impinges on the free surface of molten zinc. The liquid flow in front of the strip is governed by the flow entering the snout, caused by the spinning sink roll. Just below the free surface a counter-clockwise vortex is formed near the snout wall. The moving strip affects dominantly the flow behind the strip inside the snout, and large amount of the liquid flow follows the moving strip toward the sink roll. The thickness of the flow following the strip is very thin in the front side due to the uprising flow, however thick boundary layer is formed in the rear side of the strip. Its thickness is increased as moving downstream toward the sink roll. Inside the snout, the deoxidization gas flow above the free surface is much faster than the liquid flow in the zinc pot. Due to the larger influx of the flow following the moving strip in the rear side of the strip, higher percentage of imperfection can be anticipated on the rear surface of the strip.

  • 암절취(岩切取) 손(毁損)비탈면에 환경생태적(環境生態的)으로 안정(安定)될 수 있도록 적용이 가능한 산림표층토(山林表層土)를 이용한 종비토(種肥土)뿜어붙이기공법(工法)용 속성연화자재(速成緣化資材)(녹화토양(綠化土壤))의 시공효과(施工効果)를 분석하기 위하여, 1997년 4월에 현장 시공을 실시하였다. 3가지 유형의 녹화토양에 따른 식생 및 토양의 특성을 파악하기 위하여 완전임의배치법으로 실험(實驗)을 실시한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 산림토양(山林土壤)과 마사토, 퇴비, 슬러지, 연소재 등의 자재를 이용하여 조재한 3가지 녹화토양(綠化土壤)의 입도(粒度)분포는 큰 차이가 없었으나, 산림토양을 첨가함에 따라서 토양가밀도(土壤假密度)는 높아졌고, 토양경도(土壤硬度)는 시공 후 초기단계에서는 약간 증가하였으나, 식생의 활착에 따라서 점진적으로 감소하였다. 시공 1개월 후 전체 식생의 출현개체수(出現個體數)는 3,000본/$m^2$ 이상으로 나타났으며, 산림토양을 첨가함에 따라서 공시종과 자연적으로 발생한 식생과의 경쟁으로 인하여 출현개체수는 급격히 감소하였다. 산림토양을 첨가함에 따라서 초기에 파종한 공시종 외에 산딸기, 왕바랭이, 망초, 방울토마토 등 약 6종/$m^2$ 이상이 자연적으로 출현하였다. 비탈면 식생의 종다양성(種多樣性) 회복이라는 측면에서 산림토양의 이용가능성은 높았으며, 산림토양을 녹화자재(녹화토양)로 이용하기 위해서는 산림토양의 특성(잠재종자원(潛在種子源), 토성(土性), 유기물(有機物) 특성) 등을 면밀히 분석하여 배합비율을 결정하는 것이 타당할 것이다.

환경정화 자원식물 개발 - 양마의 $CO_2$ 흡수 및 생육반응 - (Development of Rant Resources for the Control of Environmental Pollution - $CO_2$ Absorption and Growth Response to $CO_2$ in Kenaf(Hibiscus cannabinus L.) -)

  • In order to investigate the possibility for use to control environmental pollution, Kenaf(Hibiscus cannabinus L.) was used to obtain information of their growth and $CO_2$ response under different temperatures and $CO_2$ concentration. The highest percentage of germination and aboveground dry mass of Kenaf were found at 30$^{\circ}C$ and 35$^{\circ}C$ by 89.0% and 3.2g, respectively under different temperatures. The amount of $CO_2$ absorption and aboveground dry mass production of Kenaf were higher than those of maize during the whole growing period and the last sampling of aboveground dry mass of Kenaf and maize were 252.9g and 200.8g, respectively. The highest plant height was found at 400ppm by 131.0cm and the next was in the order of 600ppm by 1293cm, and 800ppm by 108.8cm. Leaf area was higher in the order of 400ppm > 600ppm > 800ppm, whereas leaf dry mass was in the order of 800ppm > 600ppm > 400ppm under different $CO_2$ concentration, showing that leaf became thicker as $CO_2$ concentration was increased. Days from seeding to flowering became shorter by 13 days in 35/25$^{\circ}C$ compared with 25/15$^{\circ}C$ between two temperature regimes and they also became shorter as $CO_2$ concentration was increased. Aboveground dry mass was higher in 35/25$^{\circ}C$ than that of 25/15$^{\circ}C$ between two temperature regimes. while it was increased in the order of 800ppm > 600ppm > 400ppm as CO2 concentration was increased. Temporal changes of leaf dry mass during growth period showed no difference between $CO_2$ concentration in 25/15$^{\circ}C$ , but the highest of it was found at 800ppm in 35/25$^{\circ}C$. The highest temporaI increase of root dry mass was found at 800ppm in 25/15$^{\circ}C$, but 35/25$^{\circ}C$ showed no difference between different $CO_2$ concentration.

마사토 비탈면의 생태복원 녹화기술 개발 연구 -자연표토복원공법의 적용사례를 중심으로- (Study on the Revesetation Technology for the Ecological Restoration of the Decomposed Granite Roadside Slopes -The Application of the Natural Topsoil Restoration Methods(NTRM)-)

  • This study was conducted to suggest the ecological restoration methods for the decomposed granite roadside cutslopes by Natural Topsoil Restoration Methods(NTRM). Four woody species, 3 shrub species, 4 native grasses, 8 wild flowers and 2 cool-season grasses were used. The experiment was conducted with the purpose of developing ecological restoration techniques by achieving following objectives for restoration by using native woody plants, shrubs, native plants and wild flowers; (1) prevention or reduction of wind and water erosion, (2) provision of food and cover for variety of animal species, (3) improvement of the visual or aesthetic quality of disturbed sites. The main results were summarized as follows. 1. Restoring naturalness to human-altered landscapes are important to protecting the worlds biodiversity. In this study, to restore or create an ecological community use as full a complement of native species as possible. Ecological restoration means returning a specific sites to its predisturbance condition. 2. Some species which are introduced first may inhibit the germination and growth of slower-growing species, or they may prevent the growth of other species whose propagules arrive later. In this study, cool season grasses was used small amount than native plants and woody species, because and Indigofera pseudo-tintoria grows well. Tall fescue and perennial ryegrass shows quick germination, but they could not inhibit the other species growing relatively slow. Pinus thunbergii used at Gonam near the ocean was suppressed by the other plants, so it can be concluded that using container seedlings is effective than seeding. 4. Ailanthus altissima, Albizzia julibrissin, Rhus chinensis Lespedeza cyrtobotrya, and Indigofera pseudo-tinctoria were germinated. In wild flowers, Coreopsis lanceolata, Dianthus sinensis, Coreopsis tinctoria, and Lotus corniculatus var. japonicus grew well and show enough plant height which will not suppressed by shrub and woody plants. After one year, native grasses such as Arundinella hirta, Miscanthus sinensis var. purpurascens and Imperata cylindrica var. koenigii cover the slopes well. 5. 25 herbaceous plants such as Trifolium repens, Arthraxon hispidus, Barbarea orthocerae, Potentilla fragarioides, Lepidium apetalum, Chenopodium album var. centrorubrum, Glycine soja, Rubus crataegifolius and 4 woody species such as Lespedeza maximowiczii, Robinia pseudoacacia, Symplocos Chinensis, Quercus acutissma were invaded. 6. Ecological restoration works by Natural Topsoil Restoration Methods for revegetation of the decomposed granite roadside cutslopes were successfully accomplished. It prevents surface water erosion and shows diverse vegetation structure. It will be successful to restore decomposed granite cutslopes.

보리-헤어리베치 단파 및 혼파가 벼 수량에 미치는 영향 (Green Manuring Effect of Pure and Mixed Barley-Hairy Vetch on Rice Production)

  • 본 연구는 보리-헤어리베치 단파 및 혼파가 녹비생산량과 벼 재배시 무기질 비료 대체 효과를 평가하기 위해 실시되었다. 보리-헤어리베치 혼파를 통한 녹비생산량은 보리 75% + 헤어리베치 25% 혼파구에서 8.07 Mg/ha로 가장 높게 나타났다. 그리고 녹비생산을 통한 질소 축적량도 녹비 생산량이 가장 높은 보리 75% + 헤어리베치 25% 처리구에서 131 kg/ha로 가장 높게 나타났다. 혼파처리구의 전체 biomass 생산량 중에서 헤어리베치가 차지하는 비율이 증가할수록 보리 중 질소 함량은 증가되었다. 녹비재배 후 전량을 토양에 환원 후 벼 재배를 실시한 결과 혼파구(B75H25, B50H50, B25H75)의 벼 수량은 큰 차이가 없었으며 이는 관행구(NPK) 보다 약 7%의 증수 효과가 있었다. 따라서 보리와 헤어리베치 혼파는 무기질 비료 무시용에 의한 벼 재배가 가능할 것으로 판단되었다.

  • 조생종(난원벼), 중생종(화성벼) 및 중만생종(동진벼)을 공시하고 이들의 육묘기간을 35일(중묘), 20일(치묘) 및 8일(어린모)로 달리한 묘를 6월 9일에 이앙하여 벼 생태형 및 육묘일수의 차이가 제초제의 약해에 어떤 반응을 나타내는가를 비교 검토하여 벼 재배시 잡초방제의 기초 자료로 활용하고자 이앙 후 5일에 bensulfuron+butachlor와 bensulfuron+mefenacet 입제를 처리하여 시험한 결과는 다음과 같다. 제초제 처리에 의해서 생육 초기에 동진벼, 화성벼, 남원벼 모두 지상부 및 지하부의 생장이 유의적으로 저해 되었는데 특히 지상부보다 지하부인 근부생장이 크게 억제되었으며, 두 약제간의 차이는 유의성이 없었다. 육묘기간에 따른 벼 생육량은 중만생종인 동진벼와 중생종인 화성벼는 20일묘, 8일묘가 35일묘의 이앙구보다 생육량이 컸으며 조생종인 남원벼는 8일묘의 이앙구가 낮았다. 이는 bensulfuron+butachlor와 bensulfuron+mefenacet의 처리에서도 같은 경향이었다. 특히 이들 제초제 처리에 의해서 초기 약해로 인하여 최고분얼수는 적었으나 후기 출수(出穗)는 차이가 없어 유효경비율(有效莖比率)이 높았다. 조생종인 남원벼는 이들 제초제의 처리로 초기의 생육 지연이 출수에 있어서 중묘는 2일, 치묘는 1-2일, 그리고 어린모는 2-3일 정도 지연되는 경향이었다.

Improvement of Nitrogen Efficiency by N Application at Early Tillering Stage in Direct-Seeded Rice

  • This study was conducted to establish the elaborate nitrogen fertilization method to enhance N use efficiency in direct-seeded rice on flooded paddy. The nitrogen uptake by rice plants was insignificant until 25 days after seeding, and increased gradually thereafter. During this early growth stage, rice plants absorbed only the $4\%$ of basal applied N, while the $45\%$ of N fertilizer remained in the paddy soil. The absorption of basal N by rice plants was almost completed at 46 days after application. Nitrogen top-dressed at 5-leaf stage was well matched to crop nutrient demand, so it could be absorbed so actively in 8days after application. As a result, we could cut down the amount of N fertilizer to $36\%$ of the basal N level without significant difference in yield. Plant recoveries of fertilizer $^{15}N$ applied with different application timings were $7.8\%$ for basal, $9.4\%$ for 5-leaf stage, $17.1\%$ for tillering stage, and $23.4\%$ for panicle initiation stage, respectively. When urea was applied with nitrogen fertilization practice based on basal incorporation (BN), plant recovery of $^{15}N$ at harvest was $31.0\%$, which was originated from $13.7\%$ for grain, and $21.3\%$ of the fertilizer $^{15}N$ remained in the soil, and the rest could be uncounted. Plant recovery of fertilizer $^{15}N$ applied with nitrogen fertilization practice based on topdressing at 5-leaf stage (TN), where N rate was reduced by $18\%$ compared with BN, was $35.1\%$ (grain $15.6\%$), and $19.9\%$ of the fertilizer $^{15}N$ remained in the soil, and the rest could be uncounted. TN showed a higher $^{15}N$ recovery than BN because it was to apply N fertilizer at a time to well meet the demand of rice plant direct-seeded on flooded paddy. We concluded that TN would be the nitrogen fertilization method to enhance N use efficiency in direct-seeded rice on flooded paddy.

Biodegradable Film Decomposition Levels and Their Effects on Growth and Yield of Corn Crops

  • Recently, PE (polyethylene) film has been used increasingly in com cultivation. However, PE films often cause soil and environment contamination. In order to reduce this problem, many researches have been carrying out studies on biodegradable films (BF) that are easily decomposed by soil microorganisms. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine which BF is optimal for growth and yield of com crops while also having the highest rates of film decomposition. BFs Farmsbio (Farm Hannong), Heulgro Film (Sejin Bio), Vonto Film (Eco-Hansung) as well as a selected PE film were used in this study. For the control, we used crops grown without any kind of mulching. Experimental fields were fertilized according to conventional cultivation methods, tilled, and then covered by either BF or PE. After 1 week, com (cv. MIBECK2ho) at the 3-leaf stage (16 days after seeding) was transplanted. Plant height was measured at 18 and 32 days after transplanting and heading stages. Yield components and yield were also measured at harvest. In addition, pH, EC, and decomposition and light transmittance levels of films were investigated during the experimental period. Daily average temperature, relative humidity and organic matter in soils were also measured during the experimental period. There was no significant difference in plant height, heading date, and silking between crops with BFs and PE, but the crops grown with BFs and PE films reached higher growth parameters in a shorter amount of time than the crops in the non-mulching control. Additionally, there were no significant differences in yield components such as length of ears, ear width, ear weight, and yield in crops that were grown using films or crops in the control plot. Light transmittance and decomposition levels of films generally increased with time after transplanting, and was highest in the Heulgro film than other BFs. Soil pH and organic matter in crops using BFs and PE films were significantly higher than in the control plot at 99 and 113 days after transplanting. In general, the EC contents in the control plot was lower than in crops using BFs and PE films. The average daily moisture in soil was higher when BFs and PE films were used than in the control plot. However, the daily average soil temperature was higher in crops using BFs and PE films than in the control plots at the beginning of the experimental period, but there was no consistent difference in soil temperature towards the later part of the experimental period. Therefore, the BFs used in this study were shown to be helpful without causing negative impacts on the growth and yield of com.

토양 EC가 오이의 종자발아, 유묘의 생장, 자화착생 및 과실비대에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Soil EC on Seed Germination, Seeding Growth, Initiation of Female Flower and Fruit Growth of Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) Plants)

  • 복합비료로 EC(1:5)를 $1.0-5.0dS{\cdot}m^{-1}$로 조절한 토양에서 오이종자의 발아, 유묘생장 및 이식후의 묘생장과 암꽃의 착생 및 과실비대에 대하여 조사하였다. 종자발아는 EC $3.0dS{\cdot}m^{-1}$ 이상에서는 발아속도가 매우 늦었고 EC $4.0dS{\cdot}m^{-1}$에서부터는 파종 8일까지 거의 발아하지 않았다. EC $2.5dS{\cdot}m^{-1}$ 이상이 되면 유묘의 생장이 억제되기 시작하였고 $3.5dS{\cdot}m^{-1}$ 이상에서는 고사하였다. EC $3.0dS{\cdot}m^{-1}$까지는 잎이 농록색이 되었다. EC가 $1.0dS{\cdot}m^{-1}$에서 $3.0dS{\cdot}m^{-1}$까지 높아질수록 제1번 자화 개화소요일수가 늘어났고 자화 착생절위도 높아졌다. EC $3.0dS{\cdot}m^{-1}$에서는 유묘의 잎의 황화현상과 순멎이가 발생하였으나 매우 불균일하였다.

경기지방(京畿地方)의 농업공해(農業公害)에 관(關)한 조사연구(調査硏究) 제1보(第1報) 황구지천유역(黃口池川流域)의 오수류입답(汚水流入畓)에서 질소수준(窒素水準)과 토양개량제(土壤改良劑)가 수도(水稻)의 생육(生育) 및 수량(收量)에 미치는 영향 (Studies on the Agricultural Pollutions in Gyeong Gi Area 1.   • 1981년(年) 황구지천(黃口池川)의 수질(水質)을 조사(調査)하고 아울러 황구지천 유역(黃口池川 流域)의 오수 유입답(汚水 流入畓)에서 주구(主區)로 실소수준(室素水準)을 달리하고 세구(細區)로 토양개량제(土壤改良劑)의 종류(種類)를 달리하여 수양반응(收量反應)을 검토(檢討)한 결과(結果)를 요약(要約)하면 다음과 같다. 1) 황구지천(黃口池川)의 수질(水質)은 중류(中流)인 안영리(安寧里)에서 파종기(播種期)에 COD 54ppm, $NH_4-N$는 6.5ppm이고 이앙기(移秧期)는 COD 52ppm, $NH_4-N$ 5.2ppm으로 기준치(基準値)를 상회(上廻)하였다. 수질오염(水質汚染)은 주(主)로 유기성 폐기물(有機性 廢棄物)의 유입(流入)에 의(依)한 것으로 생각된다. 2) 질소적량(窒素適量)은 NPK 3요소(要素)인 표준구(標準區) 7.2㎏/10a에 비(比)하여 가리배양(加里倍量)+규회석(珪灰石)+석회(石灰)+생고(生藁) 500 ㎏/10a인 종합개량구(綜合改良區)는 7.3㎏/10a, 석회구(石灰區)는 7.5㎏/10a, 규회석구(珪灰石區)에서는 8.2㎏/10a로 증가 경향(增加 傾向)이며 황구지천변(黃口池川邊)에서 수도재배시 질소량(水稻栽培時 窒素量)은 $7{\sim}8Kg/10a$가 적양(適量)이었다. 3) 질소적정 사용시(室素適正 施用時)의 수량(收量)은 NPK 3요소(要素)인 표준구(標準區) 569㎏/10a에 비(比)하여 3요소(要素)+석회(石灰)+규회석(珪灰石)+가리배양(加里倍量)+생고(生藁) 500㎏/10a인 종합개량구(綜合改良區) 8%, 석회구(石灰區) 5%, 가리배양구(加里倍量區)에서 4% 증수(增收)하였다.
