Bit-Level Systolic Array for Modular Multiplication (모듈러 곱셈연산을 위한 비트레벨 시스토릭 어레이)

  • In this paper, the bit-level 1-dimensionl systolic array for modular multiplication are designed. First of all, the parallel algorithms and data dependence graphs from Walter's Iwamura's methods based on Montgomery Algorithm for modular multiplication are derived and compared. Since Walter's method has the smaller computational index points in data dependence graph than Iwamura's, it is selected as the base algorithm. By the systematic procedure for systolic array design, four 1-dimensional systolic arrays ale obtained and then are evaluated by various criteria. Modifying the array derived from 〔0,1〕 projection direction by adding a control logic and serializing the communication paths of data A, optimal 1-dimensional systolic array is designed. It has constant I/O channels for modular expandable and is good for fault tolerance due to unidirectional paths. And so, it is suitable for RSA Cryptosystem which deals with the large size and many consecutive message blocks.

  • In this Paper, we investigate the electrical properties of ultra-thin(70${\AA}$) nitrided(NO) and reoxidized nitrided oxide(ONO) film that ale considered to be premising candidates for replacing conventional silicon dioxide film in ULSI level integration. we studied I$\sub$g/-V$\sub$g/ characteristics to know the effect of nitridation and reoxidation on the current conduction, leakage current time-dependent dielectric breakdown(TDDB) to evaluate charge-to-breakdown(Q$\sub$bd/), and the effect of stress temperature(25, 50, 75, 100$^{\circ}C$) and compared to those with thermal gate oxide(SiO$_2$) of identical thickness. From the measurement results, we find that reoxidized nitrided oxide(ONO) film shows superior dielectric characteristics, leakage current, and breakdown-to-charge(Qbd) performance over the NO film, while maintaining a similar electric field dependence compared to NO layer. Besides, ONO film has strong resistance against variation in temperature.

Finite element procedure of initial shape determination for hyperelasticity

  • In the shape design of flexible structures, it is useful to predict the initial shape from the desirable large deformed shapes under some loading conditions. In this paper, we present a numerical procedure of an initial shape determination problem for hyperelastic materials which enables us to calculate an initial shape corresponding to the prescribed deformed shape and boundary condition. The present procedure is based on an Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian (ALE) finite element method for hyperelasticity, in which arbitrary change of shapes in both the initial and deformed states can be treated by considering the variation of geometric mappings in the equilibrium equation. Then the determination problem of the initial shape can be formulated as a nonlinear problem to solve the unknown initial shape for the specified deformed shape that satisfies the equilibrium equation. The present approach can be implemented easily to the finite element method by employing the isoparametric hypothesis. Some basic numerical results are also given to characterize the present procedure.

  • The oscillation of the fluid caused by external forces is called sloshing, which occurs in moving vehicles with contained liquid masses, such as aircraft. cars and liquid rocket and so on. This sloshing effect could be a severe problem in vehicle stability and control. So, various baffles are used in order to reduce the sloshing. The Lagrangian, Eulerian and ALE numerical method is widely used on the analysis of sloshing presently. But, these numerical methods are needed so many CPU time. In this study, for the reduction of the sloshing analysis time, me multi.layer perceptron artificial neural network is introduced and analysis results are presented.

  • Remeshing strategies are formulated for r-adaptive and h/r-adaptive analysis of crack propagation. The relocation of the nodes, which typifies r-adaptivity, is a very cheap method to optimise a given discretisation since the element connectivity remains unaltered. However, the applicability is limited. To further improve the finite element mesh, a combined h/r-adaptive method is proposed in which h-adaptivity is applied whenever r-adaptivity is not capable of further improving the discretisation. Two and three-dimensional examples are presented. It is shown that the r-adaptive approach can optimise a discretisation at minimal computational costs. Further, the combined h/r-adaptive approach improves the performance of a fully r-adaptive technique while the number of h-remeshings is reduced compared to a fully h-adaptive technique.

  • In electricity industry, the improvement of load factor by flattening of load has been considered to be more important than any other tasks and has received wide concern and interest. Especially while annual peak load had occured early evening in winter during past decades, but we found the trend has changed so that annual peak load occured during the daytime in summer since1981 The useful practicing methods of this load management ale as follows; 1. Inducing of midnight load by thermal storage water heating 2. Seasonal differential rates. 3. Revising the peak load priceing (Time-of -use) It seems hard to expect that load research can be carried out in a short time, and we all have to exert outselves continuously to provide efficient load management method without wasting resources.

  • The (Sr$_{1-x}$ Ca$_{x}$) thin films ale deposited OR Pt-Coated electrode(Pt/TiN/SiO$_2$/Si) using RF sputtering method with substitutional contents of Ca. The maximum grain of thin films is obtained at SCT15 thin film. The dielectric constant was increased with increasing the substitutional contents of Ca, while it was decreased if the substitutional contents of Ca exceeded over 15[mol%]. The temperature properties of the dielectric loss have a stable value within 2% independent of the substitutional contents of Ca.Ca.

  • The blade is an important part of rotating turbomachinery. The blade dynamic strength is of considerable importance as far as the reliability of operation and the life of the engine ate concerned. In this paper, blades are attached to a disk and coupled by means of damping wire. We assumes that the interfaces between the blade and disk dovetails are joined together, which means surface-to-surface contacts without friction. The damping wire is implemented using a beam element and temperature effect in the blade is neglected. Centrifugal forces ale applied by using an angular velocity to all elements in the system. The FEM results showed vibration characteristics in the blade disk system for the cases of a free-standing blade and blades with damping wire, respectively.

  • In this study the fluid-solid coupling(sloshing) behavior of the tanker-lorry during turning are investigated numerically. The ALE numerical method is used as sloshing analysis algorithm and numerical simulation is conducted for the various fluid filling height 25%, 50% and 75%. The forces for radial and vertical direction are calculated and compared for various fluid-filling heights. From the analysis results, in case of 25% filling, the sloshing effect is the most highest.

Numerical Study of Ablation Phenomena of Flame Deflector

  • A flame deflector prevents a launch system from thermal damage by deflecting the exhaust flame of the launch vehicle. During the deflection of the flame, the flame deflector is subjected to a high-temperature and high-pressure flow, which results in thermal ablation damage at the surface. Predicting this ablation damage is an essential requirement to ensure a reliable design. This paper introduces a numerical method for predicting the ablation damage phenomena based on a one-way fluid-structure interaction (FSI) analysis. In the proposed procedure, the temperature and convective heat transfer coefficient of the exhaust flame are calculated using a fluid dynamics analysis, and then the ablation is calculated using a finite element analysis (FEA) based on the user-subroutine UMESHMOTION and Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian (ALE) adaptive mesh technique in ABAQUS. The result of such an analysis was verified by comparison to the ablation test result for a flame deflector.
