재생 콘크리트보의 휨 및 전단 거동에 대한 실험연구 (Experimental Research for Flexural and Shea Behavior of Recycling Concrete Beam)

  • Due to recent demolition works of aged concrete bridges and buildings, a considerable amount of waste concrete material have been reclaimed without crushing works. It is well believed that waste concrete could be used for recycling good coarse aggregate, which could contribute to partly reduce environmental pollutions due to noise and dust by demolition works, and also to solve the shortage of natural aggregate for new concrete works. This experimental study is to investigate the flexural and shear behaviour of recycling RC beams with pertinent amount of recycling coarse aggregate, such as 30%, 50% and 100% of total aggregate volume. It is concluded from the test that structural behaviour of recycled concrete is determined to have similar behaviour of normal concrete.

  • In this paper, aging characteristics of silicone rubber used for outdoor insulation have been investigated with regards to sunlight effect. For this purpose, silicone rubbers were aged under the artificial sunlight by use of xenon arc lamp(1500W) and various tests were performed such as tracking, breakdown, contact angle, stress, strain. And then, in order to elucidate the changes of material, analysis have been followed as follows; FT-IR, SEM and EDS. Regarding the effect of the sunlight, it was obs that the surface of test samples are severely da with decreased hydrophobicity, tracking resistan breakdown strength.

  • CF8M cast austenitic stainless steel is used for several components such as primary coolant piping, elbow, pump casing, and valve bodies in light water reactors. These components are subject to thermal aging at the reactor operating temperature. Thermal aging results in spinodal decomposition of the delta-ferrite leading to increased strength and decreased toughness. In this study, three kinds of the aged CF8M specimen were prepared using an artificially simulated aging method. The objective of this study is to summarize the method of estimating ferrite contents, Charpy impact energy and J-R curve, and to evaluate the thermal embrittlement of the CF8M cast austenitic stainless steel piping used in the domestic nuclear power plants.

  • The remaining life estimation for the aged components in power plants as well as chemical plants are very important because mechanical properties of the components are degraded with time of service exposure in the high temperature. Since it is difficult to take specimens from the operating components to evaluate mechanical properties of components, accelerated aging technique are needed to estimate and analyse the material degradation. In the this study, test materials with 4 different degradation levels were prepared by isothermal aging heat treatment at $630^{\circ}C$. And tensile test, $k_{IC}$ test, hardness test and Scanning Electron Microscope analysis were performed in order to evaluate the degradation of 1Cr-1Mo-0.25V steels.

  • Hot gas path components, which are made of nickel based superalloys, are subject to periodic replacement due to degradation of thermomechanical properties that might bring catastrophic failure during normal operation of gas turbine units. In order to rejuvenate the metallurgical condition of the serviced components, heat treating techniques such as solution annealing and aging heat treatments have widely been employed. However, the effectiveness of those typical heat treatments is not apparent enough in terms of quantitative grounds. On the other hand the demand of the rejuvenation heat treatment and hot isostatic pressing (HIP) have constantly been raised by the end users. Therefore it is necessary to verify how the typical heat treating techniques affect to the aged and degraded material. As the result of experimental work in this study, GTD-111 and GTD-222 Ni-based superalloys were collected and analyzed quantitatively through microscopic observation, microhardness evaluation and creep test.

  • As the huge energy transfer systems like as nuclear power plant and steam power plant are operated for a long time, mechanical properties are changed and ductile-brittle transition temperature is raised by degradation. So it is required to estimate degradation in order to assess the safety, remaining life, and further operation parameters. The sub-sized specimen test method using surveillance specimen was developed for evaluating the integrity of metallic components. In this study, we would like to present the evaluation technique of the ductile-brittle transition temperature by the sub-sired specimen test. The four classes of the thermally aged 1Cr-1Mo-0.25V specimens were prepared using an artificially accelerated aging method. The tensile test and fracture toughness test were performed. The results of the fracture toughness tests using the sub-sized specimens were compared with the evaluation technique of the ductile-brittle transition temperature.

가황 천연고무의 피로수명에 미치는 최대 변형률과 노화도 영향 (Effects of Maximum Strain and Aging Conditions on the Fatigue Life of Vulcanized Natural Rubber)

  • The interest of the fatigue life of rubber components such as engine mounts is increasing according to the extension of warranty period of the automotive components. Automotive engine mounts get damaged due to thermal and mechanical loadings. This paper discusses a fatigue life prediction of the 3-dimensional dumbbell specimens for natural rubber compound considering the effects of maximum strain and heat aging temperature. Displacement controlled fatigue life tests were performed using specimens with different levels of maximum strain and various hardness. The basic mechanical properties test and the fatigue test of aged rubber specimen under normal and elevated temperature were executed. A procedure to predicted the fatigue life of vulcanized natural rubber material based on the maximum strain method was proposed, and then this curve was in good agreement with fatigue test data less than 200% error range.

  • Clothing shape is principally described in seven factors that are composed of clothing design, clothing material, clothing size, pattern design, sewing method and body motion etc. The aims of this study was to measurement out-line space-shape variation of clothing fitness with body by using the image processing. The subjects for direct anthropometric measurements were 248 female college students aged from 19 to 22. The data were statistically analyzed by principal analysis and cluster analysis. The results selected one somatotype. for the out-line space-shape variation of clothing fitness with body, there dimensional clothing shapes measured. and cross-sectional clothing shape obtained by the measurement was considered to be space wave form. The out-line space-shape variation of clothing fitness with body was observed between the node number and amplitudes of clothing wave form, and node number was determined at the maxim of space-shape amplitude, and the space-shape amplitudes have related with aspect ratio of cross-sectional shape. 실리콘 고무의 트래킹에 미치는 충전재의 영향 (The influence of filler for silicone rubber tracking)

  • Tracking is one of the biggist problems to be overcome in polymeric materials for outdoor insulators. But It can be decreased with the addition of filler such as alumina trihydrate (ATH). In this paper, the tracking of surface and evaluation of insulating ability at silicone rubber is investigated, using the salt fog test. At initial state, the peak leakage current and numbers by dry band arcing is increasing with increasing the filler level, but at aged state decreasing at high concentration filler samples. This is because the roughness of the surface may contribute to the increase in peak leakage cur-rent and numbers. As increasing the filler level, the insulating ability of materials is higher and weight loss is decreased. The mechanism of insulating failure is occurred by the erosion than the tracking and the erosion caused weight loss of 2 g.

  • Fitness-for-Service is a useful technology to determine replacement timing, next inspection timing or in-service when nuclear power plant's buried pipes are damaged. If is possible for buried pipes to be aged by material loss, cracks and occlusion as operating time goes by. Therefore Fitness-for-Service technology for buried pipe is useful for plant industry to perform replacement and repair. Fitness-for-Service for buried pipe is studied in terms of existing code and standard for Fitness-for-Service and a current developing code case. Fitness-for-Service for buried pipe was performed according to Code Case N-806 developed by ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers).
