  • 최근 친환경적인 항공 추진시스템에 대한 요구가 확대되고 있는 가운데 여러 에너지원을 조합하여 장기 체공하는 무인기용 복합추진시스템을 개발하기 위한 다양한 시도가 이루어지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 주어진 임무형상에 따른 비행체의 에너지 균형 매커니즘을 최적화하기 위하여 태양전지로부터 수집 가능한 에너지와 비행체의 요구에너지 그리고 재생연료전지 구동을 통해 순환에 필요한 동력분배 관리시스템을 분석하였다.

  • The Mobile Mapping System is an effective method to acquire the position and image data using vehicle equipped with the GPS (Global Positioning System), IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit), and CCD camera. It is used in various fields of road facility management, map update, and etc. In the general photogrammetry such as aerial photogrammetry, GCP (Ground Control Point)s are needed to compute the image exterior orientation elements (the position and attitude of camera). These points are measured by field survey at the time of data acquisition. But it costs much time and money. Moreover, it is not possible to make sufficient GCP as much as we want. However Mobile Mapping System is more efficient both in time and money because it can obtain the position and attitude of camera at the time of photographing. That is, Indirect Georeferencing must use GCP to compute the image exterior orientation elements, but on the other hand Direct Georeferencing can directly compute the image exterior orientation elements by GPS/INS. In this paper, we analyze about the positional accuracy comparison of ground point using the Direct Georeferencing and Indirect Georeferencing.

육각형 격자를 사용한 부드러운 경로생성 (Smooth Path Generation using Hexagonal Cell Representation)

  • 본 논문에서는 2차원 공간에서 기동하는 고정익 무인항공기의 장애물 회피를 위한 부드러운 경로궤적을 생성하는 문제를 다룬다. 2차원 장애물맵의 이산화 모델링을 위해 육각형 격자를 채택하였고, 이는 사각형 격자에 비해 연결성이 높아 부드러운 경로궤적 생성이 가능하도록 하였다. 특히 본 논문에서 제안된 경로템플릿 기법은 일정거리 단위로 조합 가능한 대표경로들(경로템플릿)을 사용하여 무인항공기의 기준경로를 생성하는 방법이고, 온라인 경로궤적 생성에서 계산량을 줄여 메모리 및 연산리소스가 제한되는 소형 오토파일럿에서도 적용이 가능하다는 장점이 있다.

  • Nowadays, the Surveying field is growing rapidly in terms of technology such as TS(Total Station) surveying, photographic surveying, digital aerial photogrammetry, utilization of GIS(Geographic Information System) using high-resolution satellite imagery, obtaining 3D Coordinate using GPS. But control point surveying, benchmark measuring, and field Surveying are still performed by the engineers in the field. So, 3D yerrestrial laser scanner comes to the fore recently. 3D terrestrial laser scanner can get 3D coordinate about a number of sites of the subject in a short period with high accuracy. This paper compared the accuracy of data from the performance using 3D terrestrial laser scanner with that of TS. It also obtained the geopositioning accuracy result equivalent to the surveying result of TS. With further researches in the future, it is expected to be used not only in LiDAR itself but also in various areas like reconnaissance Surveying and construction by combining with TS or other Surveying equipments.

Guidance Law for Vision-Based Automatic Landing of UAV

  • In this paper, a guidance law for vision-based automatic landing of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) is proposed. Automatic landing is a challenging but crucial capability for UAVs to achieve a fully autonomous flight. In an autonomous landing maneuver of UAVs, the decision of where to landing and the generation of guidance command to achieve a successful landing are very significant problem. This paper is focused on the design of guidance law applicable to automatic landing problem of fixed-wing UAV and rotary-wing UAV, simultaneously. The proposed guidance law generates acceleration command as a control input which derived from a specified time-to-go ($t_go$) polynomial function. The coefficient of $t_go$-polynomial function are determined to satisfy some terminal constraints. Nonlinear simulation results using a fixed-wing and rotary-wing UAV models are presented.

Antithrombotic Activity of Extracts from the Aromatic Herb Elsholtzia splendens

  • Elsholtzia splendens, which grows on moist soil of mountainous regions, is widely distributed at all regions of Korea, especially at Mountain Ji ri. It is categorized as a Labiatae plant which is dried aerial part. It has the following medicinal properties; removal of fever, alleviation of pain, a good antiphlogistic agent as well as antibacterial effects. However, the effects of E. splendens on thrombosis and platelet activation are not precisely understood. We performed this study to develop antithrombotic agents from oriental medicine herb extracts. E. splendens inhibited platelet aggregation induced by arachidonic acid and U46619 in a concentration dependent manner. E. splendens did not show an effect on anticoagulation as determined by prothrombin time (PT) or activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT). We also tested the effects of E. splendens using a carotid artery thrombosis rat model induced by 35% $FeCl_3$ treatment. E. splendens significantly inhibited thrombus weight compared with the control group. These results show that E. splendens may be developed as a potential antiplatelet activity agent for treatment of cardiocerebrovascular disease and atherosclerosis.

Multiple crack evaluation on concrete using a line laser thermography scanning system

  • This paper proposes a line laser thermography scanning (LLTS) system for multiple crack evaluation on a concrete structure, as the core technology for unmanned aerial vehicle-mounted crack inspection. The LLTS system consists of a line shape continuous-wave laser source, an infrared (IR) camera, a control computer and a scanning jig. The line laser generates thermal waves on a target concrete structure, and the IR camera simultaneously measures the corresponding thermal responses. By spatially scanning the LLTS system along a target concrete structure, multiple cracks even in a large scale concrete structure can be effectively visualized and evaluated. Since raw IR data obtained by scanning the LLTS system, however, includes timely- and spatially-varying IR images due to the limited field of view (FOV) of the LLTS system, a novel time-spatial-integrated (TSI) coordinate transform algorithm is developed for precise crack evaluation in a static condition. The proposed system has the following technical advantages: (1) the thermal wave propagation is effectively induced on a concrete structure with low thermal conductivity of approximately 0.8 W/m K; (2) the limited FOV issues can be solved by the TSI coordinate transform; and (3) multiple cracks are able to be visualized and evaluated by normalizing the responses based on phase mapping and spatial derivative processes. The proposed LLTS system is experimentally validated using a concrete specimen with various cracks. The experimental results reveal that the LLTS system successfully visualizes and evaluates multiple cracks without false alarms.

이동 목표물 협력추적을 위한 다수 무인항공기의 분산형 확장정보필터 설계 (Cooperative Standoff Tracking of a Moving Target using Decentralized Extended Information Filter)

  • 본 논문에서는 이동 목표물을 추적하기 위하여, 다수 무인항공기의 측정치를 이용한 목표물의 위치와 속도 추정기법을 제안하였다. 항공기와 목표물 사이의 상대거리와 시선각 정보를 이용하여 목표물의 위치, 속도 성분을 추정하는 확장필터를 구성하였다. 다수의 항공기 간 정보교환과 계산이 용이하도록 공분산 역행렬 형태의 정보필터를 설계하였다. 개별 확장필터, 부분 분산형 확장필터, 분산형 확장필터를 이용한 수치 시뮬레이션을 수행하여, 제안된 분산형 확장필터의 이동 목표물 추정 및 추적 성능을 검증하였다.

Arginase II Inhibitory Activity from Crude Drugs

  • Arginase competitively inhibits nitric oxide synthase (NOS) via use of the common substrate L-arginine. Arginase II has recently reported as a novel therapeutic target for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases such as atherosclerosis. In our experiment, the EtOH extracts of four-hundreds extracts drugs were investigated for the arginase inhibitory activity. Among them, four extracts exhibited over 50% inhibition of arginase II activity compared to control at a concentration of 150${\mu}g/ml$. In particular, the seed of Arctium lappa, gum-resin of Boswellia carterii, aerial part of Artemisia apiacea and rhizome of Cyperus rotundus inhibited arginase II activity, with $IC_{50}$ values of 118.4, 135.4, 123.9 and 86.7${\mu}g/ml$, respectively. In addition, four plant extracts showed less than 20% inhibition of arginase I activity at 150${\mu}g/ml$. These plants might be the potential candidate materials in the development of the novel atherosclerosis drug.

편류보정을 통한 무인항공기 영상품질 향상에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of the Image Quality for UAV Using Drift Compensation)

  • Purpose: In this paper, the improvement of the image quality is investigated. The image quality is degraded by the drift phenomenon of EO/IR (Electro-Optical/Infrared) device on UAV. The drift phenomenon means that the image of EO/IR equipment on UAV(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) moves to the unintended direction. This phenomenon should be improved for successful flight mission. Methods: To improve the drift phenomenon, the drift compensation method, the combination algorithm of FMC(Forward Motion Compensation) and AMC(Angular Motion Compensation) method, are introduced to calculate pitch and azimuth angle. Result values of pitch and azimuth angle are used for the improvement of image quality in EO/IR control logic. Results: The image quality is quantitatively improved more than 15 times through field test data of flight. Conclusion: Using the drift compensation technique, the image quality for EO/IR equipment is improved over 15 times than existing methods. This means the user of UAV with EO/IR device can perform a successful mission by keeping the line of sight for the target accurately.
