This paper presents a clustering adaptive controller to achieve robustness against parameter variations although it has simple structure and computational simplicity. The presented controller based on optimal fuzzy logic controller has an self-tuning characteristics with clustering. The controller requires no model of the system to be controlled. Simulation results show that the usefulness of the proposed controller.
기존에 제안 된 CACH(Context-aware Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy)[1]는 하이브리드 라우팅 방식을 분산 클러스터링 기반으로 구성하여 네트워크 수명을 연장하고 지연시간을 감소하였다. 이를 보완하기 위해 본 논문에서는, CACHE(Context-aware Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy and Energy efficient)를 제안한다.
Abstract While a system working with SAN, such as ATM Clustering System, requires a network with low latency and wide bandwidth, the previous error recovery protocols have a serious network overhead to satisfy this requirement. The suggested error recovery protocol is a light-weight protocol which can shows its best performance at ATM Clustering System and uses a newly suggested adaptive acknowledgement scheme. In the adaptive acknowledgement scheme, the period of acknowledgement is dynamically changed depending on the state of the network. We proved the logical correctness of our protocol with SDT and did performance analysis with DEVSim++. From the analysis, we found the optimal parameter values for best performance and showed that our protocol works better than the previous error recovery protocols.
Although huge progress has been made in current image segmentation work, there are still no efficient segmentation strategies for tree image which is taken from natural environment and contains complex background. To improve those problems, we propose a method for tree image segmentation combining adaptive mean shifting with image abstraction. Our approach perform better than others because it focuses mainly on the background of image and characteristics of the tree itself. First, we abstract the original tree image using bilateral filtering and image pyramid from multiple perspectives, which can reduce the influence of the background and tree canopy gaps on clustering. Spatial location and gray scale features are obtained by step detection and the insertion rule method, respectively. Bandwidths calculated by spatial location and gray scale features are then used to determine the size of the Gaussian kernel function and in the mean shift clustering. Furthermore, the flood fill method is employed to fill the results of clustering and highlight the region of interest. To prove the effectiveness of tree image abstractions on image clustering, we compared different abstraction levels and achieved the optimal clustering results. For our algorithm, the average segmentation accuracy (SA), over-segmentation rate (OR), and under-segmentation rate (UR) of the crown are 91.21%, 3.54%, and 9.85%, respectively. The average values of the trunk are 92.78%, 8.16%, and 7.93%, respectively. Comparing the results of our method experimentally with other popular tree image segmentation methods, our segmentation method get rid of human interaction and shows higher SA. Meanwhile, this work shows a promising application prospect on visual reconstruction and factors measurement of tree.
Electronic warfare Support(ES) system measures pulse characteristics for received RF signals that received from all directions. ES system discriminates the pulse trains that have a rule, correlationship, continuance from collected data and analyze the characteristics of the data, and identify the emitters by comparison with emitter identification data(EID). Because pulse density is very high and various signal source exists at modem signal environments, high-speed and accurate signal analysis is needed for realtime countermeasure to emitters. Grouping alleviates the load of signal analysis process and supports reliable analysis. In this paper, we suggest an adaptive clustering scheme regarding signal patterns.
Abstract - In this paper, a segmentation method for brain Magnetic Resonance(MR) image using region clustering technique with statistical distribution of gradient image and fuzzy rules is described. The brain MRI consists of gray matter and white matter, cerebrospinal fluid. But due to noise, overlap, vagueness, and various parameters, segmentation of MR image is a very difficult task. We use gradient information rather than intensity directly from the MR images and find appropriate thresholds for region classification using gradient approximation, rayleigh distribution function, region clustering, and merging techniques. And then, we propose the adaptive fuzzy rules in order to extract anatomical structures and diseases from brain MR image data. The experimental results shows that the proposed segmentation algorithm given better performance than traditional segmentation techniques.

Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) is a distributed Sensor network whose terminals are sensors that can sense and check the environment. Sensors are typically battery-powered and deployed in where the batteries are difficult to replace. Therefore, maximize the consumption of node energy and extend the network's life cycle are the problems that must to face. Low-energy adaptive clustering hierarchy (LEACH) protocol is an adaptive clustering topology algorithm, which can make the nodes in the network consume energy in a relatively balanced way and prolong the network lifetime. In this paper, the novel multi-objective LEACH protocol is proposed, in order to solve the proposed protocol, we design a multi-objective coupling algorithm based on bat algorithm (BA), glowworm swarm optimization algorithm (GSO) and bacterial foraging optimization algorithm (BFO). The advantages of BA, GSO and BFO are inherited in the multi-objective coupling algorithm (MBGF), which is tested on ZDT and SCH benchmarks, the results are shown the MBGF is superior. Then the multi-objective coupling algorithm is applied in the multi-objective LEACH protocol, experimental results show that the multi-objective LEACH protocol can greatly reduce the energy consumption of the node and prolong the network life cycle.
One of the main problems in 3D shape measuring systems that use the triangulation of line-shaped laser light is precise center line detection of line-shaped laser stripe. The intensity of a line-shaped laser light stripe on the CCD image varies following to the reflection angles, colors and shapes of objects. In this paper, a new center line detection algorithm to compensate the local intensity variation on a line-shaped laser light stripe is proposed. The 3-D surface shape measuring system using the proposed center line detection algorithm can measure 3-D surface shape with enhanced measurement resolution by using the dynamic shape reconstruction with adaptive pattern clustering of the line-shaped laser light. This proposed 3-D shape measuring system can be easily applied to practical situations of measuring 3-D surface by virtue of high speed measurement and compact hardware compositions.
