A movie's fashion style delivers the overall atmosphere of the scene including the characters's class, personality, spiritual world and inner thinking and even their conflicts in the story. The movie 'American Psycho' directed by Mary Harron and based on from Bret Easton Ellis's original novel ridicules the American yuppie culture of the 1980's through the behavior of the hero Patrick Bateman. The life style of the yuppie sees itself as the high-class embodiment of a particular culture, but the various subcultures such as Glam and Punk show that it is merely a two-faced culture suffering from hypocrisy and mammonism. An analysis of the costumes found in the movie indicated an exhibition of the 1980's Haute Couture fashion, which was mainly occupied by the mainstream social class and of the social phenomenon of post-modernism. The anti-fashion presented in the movie as the resistance culture formed by the subculture was in extreme contrast with the expression of self-actualization.

The sample consisted of 100 Koreans who have lived in Manila, Philippines. Data were collected for two months from Feb, 1 to March 30, 1998. Analysis of the data was done by use of percentage, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's Correlation Coefficients, and Stepwise Multiple Regression. The results of this study were summarized as follows : 1. The range of total HPLP score was from 73 to 175 and the mean score of that was 117.23. In comparison of mean scores depending on each item of six dimensions, self-actualization dimension tended to show the hightest score(2.98) and responsibility for health dimension, the lowest score(1.83). 2. The HPLP score showed a positive correlation with age(r=.19), social support (r=.39), self-efficacy(r=.52) and perceived health status(r=.27), but a inverse correlation with perceived health care service utilization barriers(r=-.20). 3. By using stepwise multiple regression analysis it was determined that the main influencing factors on the HPLP score were self-efficacy(27.2%), social support(5.3%), age(5.3%) and perceived health status(2.9%). These variables made it possible to explain 40.7% of variance in HPLP score.

Everyone lives in a home. We pursue happiness and the meaning of life through home life or family life. Home life, therefore, has an important meaning in the whole life, But home life can be sustained only through housework and wage labor. All human activities can be divided into two kinds of activities. The one has intrinsic value, the other has extrinsic value. Housework belongs to the activity with intrinsic value, but wage labor belongs to the activity with extrinsic value. In view of home life, housework has primary meaning, and wage labor has subsidiary meaning. In other words, wage labor is only means of home life. We mush not forget that important fact. But we cannot help thinking that nowadays people consider wage labor itself as an aim of life. It is said that we are achieving self-actualization through wage labor, but it is not ture. To tell the truth, most of us are experiencing self-alienation in job. We must recover the legitimate relation between housework and wage labor. Wage labor is means of home life, therefore it is on the extension line of housework. If we achieve happiness through home life, we must recognize that wage labor is only means of home life, not an end in itself.
