잭슨 네트워크를 이용한 응급실의 대기 시간 단축 연구 (An Application of a Jackson Network for Waiting Time Reduction at the Emergency Care Center)

  • Patients entering an emergency care center in a hospital usually visit medical processes in different orders depending on the urgency level and the medical treatments required. We formulate the patient flows among diverse processes in an emergency care center using the Jackson network, which is one of the queueing networks, in order to evaluate the system performances such as the expected queue length and the expected waiting time. We present a case study based on actual data collected from an emergency care center in a hospital, in order to prove the validity of applying the Jackson network model in practice. After assessing the current system performances, we provide operational strategies to reduce waiting at the bottleneck processes and evaluate the impact of those strategies on the entire system.

신경망과데이터베이스 관리시스템을 이용한 실시간 교통상황 예보 (Forecasting of Real Time Traffic Situation using Neural Network and Sensor Database Management System)

  • 본 논문에서는 교통사고를 예방하고 교통사고 구간 대기시간을 줄이기 위해서 신경망을 이용한 예측방법을 제안한다. 뿐만 아니라, 교통사고 예측에 있어서 신경망에 정규화하지 않은 데이터를 사용하는 방법을 제시한다. 이 방법은 신경망 훈련시 데이타의 최대 값을 추정할 필요가 없어 정규화 없이 신경망을 사용 가능하며, 신뢰성 예측 결과도 추정된 최대 값과 실제 획득될 최대 값과의 차이(추정 오차)만큼 정확해질 수 있다. 또한 비정규화 된 데이터를 사용하는 방법이 데이터의 최대값을 알고 있다고 가정한 상태의 정규화된 방법보다 예측 정확성이 좋음을 보였다. 모의실험결과 제안된 신경망 예측시스템이 신경망을 고려하지 않은 기존방법보다 교통사고 구간 대기시간을 줄일 수 있음을 입증했다. 이와 같이 검증된 예측능력을 바탕으로 사용자에게 교통상황을 실시간으로 서비스하기 위하여 센서 데이터베이스를 이용한 실시간 교통정보 예보 시스템을 제안한다.

화장장 이용자의 시설요구에 관한 연구 (User Demand on the Crematorium Facilities)

  • The main purpose of this project is to improve the funeral and grave culture which has brought about many social problems, and to fix the crematory culture as the future funeral ceremony in our country. In this study, we first investigated the actual condition of cremation culture. Second, we survey three representative crematorium as an object of study and investigated similar sample buildings in Japan, we analyzed the problem of existing crematorium. Finally, we arranged the basics to approach the space program and design criteria of this project. 1. The entrance of vehicles has been commonly concentrated to the opening time of crematorium. therefore, Peak time has come out as circulation of cremation and waiting time is increasing, also it is difficult to manage the congestion normally. 2. The whole problem of crematorium is poor environment, inferior buildings, noise, unsatisfactory ventilation and privacy, insufficient convenience facilities. 3. The user demand on the crematorium facilities is a private family room for waiting area, a farewell room for family members in a direct line, an outdoor rest area, and the various service facilities, and so on. 4. For improvement of the funeral and grave culture, it is necessary that crematorium is not a hatred facilities, as the conversion of consciousness, and to new shape of charnel as it wore family tomb.

상호대차 요청 도서 운송량 최대화를 위한 차량 이동 방법 연구 (Vehicle Routing for Maximizing Interlibrary-Loan Requests under Time Constraints)

  • 상호대차 서비스 운영의 효율화를 위해서 시스템적 접근과 같은 다양한 방법이 모색되고 있다. 본 연구는 그 가운데 상호대차 대출 요청의 이용자 대기시간을 줄일 수 있는 운영관리 방법에 대해서 제시하였다. 지역 내 상호대차 대출의 이용자 대기 시간은 2~3일로 안내되고 있는데 이와 같은 대기가 발생하는 가장 큰 이유는 도서 배송 차량의 이동경로 및 도서 배송량 결정에 비효율성이 있기 때문이다. 이를 해결하기 위해 혼합정수계획모형이라는 수리적 모형을 통해 도서 배송량을 최대화할 수 있는 차량 경로이동 방법을 제시하였다. 그리고 실제 도서관의 상호대차 요구량 자료를 이용하여 하루 가용한 시간 별, 최적의 도서 이동 및 차량 경로 해법을 제안하였다.

다품종 수주생산형 장치산업의 납기준수를 위한 생산 및 수주전략 (Production and Order Processing Policies in Make-To-Order based Process Industry)

  • In this study we develop a computer simulation model to evaluate the effects of various production and order processing policies measured in terms of on-time delivery rate and average waiting time of job orders. Policies considered include : eliminating inflated due date, lot splitting, loss time reduction, attaining full flexibility in production lines, and selective order promising scheme. Actual order-production data from a chemical company were used in the simulation model. Based on the simulation results, we make several suggestions that can significantly reduce the production lead time and increase the on-time delivery rate.

컨테이너 터미널 내 반출입 차량 체류시간 예측 모형 (Prediciton Model for External Truck Turnaround Time in Container Terminal)

  • 코로나 팬데믹 이후 컨테이너 터미널 내 혼잡도 증가에 따라 반출입 차량 작업 대기 및 체류시간이 급증하여 반출입 작업 비효율이 극심한 실정이다. 이에 항만 당국은 반출입예약시스템(Vehicle Booking System; VBS)을 구축하여 시범운영 중에 있으나 이해관계자 간 정보공유 문제 및 컨테이너 운송 주체의 미온적 참여 등으로 인해 개선효과가 뚜렷하지 않다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 반출입 차량의 작업 대기 및 체류시간 문제의 해결을 위한 기초자료로써, 딥러닝 기반의 반출입 차량 체류시간 예측 모형을 제시하였다. 실제 컨테이너 터미널의 반출입 운영 데이터를 통해 제시한 예측 모형을 실험하고 실제 데이터와 비교하여 예측 정확도를 검증한 결과 제시한 예측 모형이 높은 예측 정확도를 보이는 것을 확인하였다.

수술실 간호인력의 수요측정 및 간호제공량분석 - 수술대기시간과 수술시간을 중심으로 - (A Study of Nursing Manpower Requirements based on the Nursing Times spent in Operating Room of an University Hospital)

  • This Study was an attempt to estimate the optimum numbers of Operating Room Nursing Manpower by measuring the amount of service hours required by the patients in Operating Room in relation to the service amount actually provided by the nurses. The major concern of this study was placed on the measurement of Nursing Service Requirements by using the Operating Room (O. R) Patient Acuity System recently developed by M. M. Hart to classify the O. R. patients into four groups according to the degree of the complexity of operative procedure and some other elements which increase nursing activities in respect of patient care; Acuity IV group is the one requires nursing services most, on the other hand Acuity I requires least. nu sing The objectives of this study were as follows; 1. To analyze functions of the nursing personnel in O. R. by time unit and to estimate the average time a nurse can activate for productive functions. 2. To measure the actual amount of nursing times provided by nurses to the surgical patients. 3. To develop a patient classification system in order to measure the amount of Nursing services required by the patients. 4. To calculate an appropriate number of nursing manpower to meet the needs of the patients. In order to conduct the research both selected nurses and patients in 'S' University Hospital were Studied by utilizing the O. R. Patient Acuity System as well as the Classification Chart developed by Association of Operating Room Nurses (A. O. R. N) as a means of classifying functions of O. R. nurses. That is; Functions of the 10 selected O. R. nurses observed during the period of June 30 to July 4, 1986, whereas the amount of nursing services required by or provided to the 974 patients who had received surgeries during the period of June 9 to July 4, 1986. The results of this study were as follows; 1) The actual working hours per a nurse averaged 6.7 hours a day. 2) Each nurse's daily routine schedule consists of $71.4\%$ for Technical Functions, $16.1\%$ for Nonprodective Functions, $6.6\%$ for Assessment and Evaluation, $3.9\%$ for Overseeing and Supervision and the rest $2.0\%$ for Patient Preparation respectively. 3) Preoperative waiting time per a patient was 24.1 minutes on the average; for the first case was 10.7 minutes, whereas for the following cases was 32.0 minutes. 4) Total Operation time for the 974 patients during the period of observation for this study amounted to 2759.6 hours, weekly hour was equivalent to 689.9 hours, Whereas daily operation time averaged 130 hours. Meanwhile the average operation time per patient was 2.8 hours ; for the case of Acuity IV was 5.6 hours, 5. 1 hours for the case of Acuity III, 2.3 hours for Acuity II and 1.1 hours for Acuity I. 5) According to the O. R. Patient Acuity System, $64.5\%$ of the whole patients belonged to Acuity II, $23.7\%$ to Acuity III, 11. $3\%$ to Acuity IV and $0.7\%$ to Acuity I respectively. 6) Required amount of nursing times based on the preoperative waiting time and operation time was 7167.8 person hours, which showed that $5.5\%$ of them needed for preoperative nursing care, whereas the rest $94.5\%$ for intraoperative nursing care. In terms of the O. R. Patient Acuity System, $49.7\%$ of total nursing service requirements was needed for Acuity II patients, $27.4\%$ for Acuity III patients, $17.2\%$ for Acuity IV patients and $0.2\%$ for Acuity I patients. 7) The rate of the nursing services provided against the required nursing times was about $81.4\%$ on the average; some departments, like those of Plastic Surgery, Otolaryngology and Ophthalmology whose patients mostly belonged to Acuity II recorded hegher provision rate than average, whereas other departments of Thoracic Surgery. Neurosurgery and Orthopedic Surgery whose patients belonged to Acuity III and Acuity IV as well as Acuity II recorded lower provision rate than average. 8) Subsequently, required numbers of nursing manpower was 10.7 nurses additionally. Based on the above findings the following recommendations will be made; 1) this study recommends, develops. and adopts an accurate and realistic O. R. Patient Acuity System which can help measure the nursing service requirements objectively to elicit the rationales of allocation of nursing personnels. 2) this study proposes storongly place nurses who take the role of preoperative nursing care exclusively for the waiting patients in O. R. and shortening their waiting time by close communication between the designated O. R. and the ward.

생산계획 및 우선순위규칙에 따른 Order Release 정책의 유효성에 관한 연구 (The Effectiveness of Order Release Strategies considering Production Plan and Dispatching Rules)

  • Order Review/Release (ORR) System is the linkage between planning system and actual production. Reduction of the waiting time on the machines, work in process and lead time variation may be achieved by adopting ORR strategies. But researchers on the ORR do not agree on the effectiveness of ORR. Some say that the overall system flow time may be increased if ORR is adopted, but others say that ORR can reduce work in process, flow time and variation of flow time. The objective of this research is to clarify under what environments order release strategy is effective. Simulation study was conducted in a hypothetical job shop. The experimental results show that dispatching rule is much more important than ORR is in controlling the shop floor. But the results indicate that ORR can reduce mean shop flow time, average work in process and variation of shop flow time under such environments where utilization level is high and planned order is weekly released to the order pool. And the results also show that the effect of plan smoothing on the ORR is insignificant, which is inconsistent with the results of the previous researches.

Parallel Multi-task Cascade Convolution Neural Network Optimization Algorithm for Real-time Dynamic Face Recognition

  • Due to the angle of view, illumination and scene diversity, real-time dynamic face detection and recognition is no small difficulty in those unrestricted environments. In this study, we used the intrinsic correlation between detection and calibration, using a multi-task cascaded convolutional neural network(MTCNN) to improve the efficiency of face recognition, and the output of each core network is mapped in parallel to a compact Euclidean space, where distance represents the similarity of facial features, so that the target face can be identified as quickly as possible, without waiting for all network iteration calculations to complete the recognition results. And after the angle of the target face and the illumination change, the correlation between the recognition results can be well obtained. In the actual application scenario, we use a multi-camera real-time monitoring system to perform face matching and recognition using successive frames acquired from different angles. The effectiveness of the method was verified by several real-time monitoring experiments, and good results were obtained.

항해용선계약에서 체박손해금에 관한 사례연구: 국내 판결을 중심으로 (A Case Study on Damage for Detention in Voyage Charter: Focused on the Judgment in Korea)

  • Freight charges are one of the major clauses in the voyage charter. However, in case of unexpected delays at loading and discharging ports, the owner of the ship would not be willing to cover the various costs he should bear by paying the freight receives from the charterer. Therefore, the shipowner, whose time and the ship would be both considered to be an expense, would try to reduce the laytime as least as possible when signing the charter party and to receive compensation such as demurrage and damage for detention from the charterer, just waiting for the agreed laytime to pass. In this study, we review the differences between demurrage and damage for detention and examine the acknowledgeable circumstances through the actual cases. Since the shipowner and the charterer do not often agree on the damage for detention from the respective contract, it is necessary to examine each. Besides, the shipowner and the charterer must acquaint the damage for detention and specify in a contract, to compensate for the actual loss of the shipowner.
