  • 복합재 보강판에 영구히 부착된 배열 압전 능동 센서를 사용하여 저속 충격 손상을 탐지하였다. 압전 능동센서를 사용하여 구조에 램파를 전파시키기 위한 다양한 진단신호를 생성하였으며, 손상으로 인한 구조 진동의 특성 변화를 탐지하기 위하여 그 응답을 측정하였다. 이 신호 변화 특징을 한 개의 손상 지수로 표현하기 위하여 3가지 알고리즘-ADI(Active Damage Interrogation), TD RMS (Time Domain Root Mean Square), STFT(Short Time Fourier Transform) -이 검토되었다. 손상 탐지시험을 수행하여, 사용한 기법과 진단신호로 저속 충격으로 인한 두 개의 층간분리를 탐지하였으며, 그 위치를 추정하였다.

Design data for the development of active suspension system are presented through performance estimation of active control laws in the time and frequency domain. The verification of compromise between ride quality and handling characteristics is carried out.

Frequency Characteristics of the Synchronous-Frame Based D-Q Methods for Active Power Filters

  • The d-q harmonic detecting algorithms are dominant methods to generate current references for active power filters (APF). They are often implemented in the synchronous frame and time domain. This paper researches the frequency characteristics of d-q synchronous transformations, which are closely related to the analysis and design issues of control system. Intuitively, the synchronous transformation is explained with amplitude modulation (AM) in this paper. Then, the synchronous filter is proven to be a time-invariant and linear system, and its transfer function matrix is derived in the stationary frames. These frequency-domain models imply that the synchronous transformation has an equivalent effect of frequency transformation. It is because of this feature, the d-q method achieves band-pass characteristics with the low pass filters in the synchronous frame at run time. To simplify these analytical models, an instantaneous positive-negative sequence frame is proposed as expansion of traditional symmetrical components theory. Furthermore, the synchronous filter is compared with the traditional bind-pass filters based on these frequency-domain analytical models. The d-q harmonic detection methods are also improved to eliminate the inherent coupling effect of synchronous transformation. Typical examples are given to verify previous analysis and comparison. Simulation and experimental results are also provided for verification.

Analysis of Time Domain Active Sensing Data from CX-100 Wind Turbine Blade Fatigue Tests for Damage Assessment

  • This paper presents the results obtained using time-series-based methods for structural damage assessment. The methods are applied to a wind turbine blade structure subjected to fatigue loads. A 9 m CX-100 (carbon experimental 100 kW) blade is harmonically excited at its first natural frequency to introduce a failure mode. Consequently, a through-thickness fatigue crack is visually identified at 8.5 million cycles. The time domain data from the piezoelectric active-sensing techniques are measured during the fatigue loadings and used to detect incipient damage. The damage-sensitive features, such as the first four moments and a normality indicator, are extracted from the time domain data. Time series autoregressive models with exogenous inputs are also implemented. These features could efficiently detect a fatigue crack and are less sensitive to operational variations than the other methods.

주관절 근육의 활성화 유형에 대한 정량적 분석 (A Quantitative Analysis of Activation Pattern of Active Elbow Muscles)

  • In this paper, we analyzed the contraction patterns of active elbow muscles during isometric, concentric and eccentric contraction. The analysis parameters consist of frequency domain parameters (mean frequency, median frequency, peak frequency, peak power, skewness, kurtosis) and time domain paraseters (zero crossing, positive maxima, integrated EMG). The results of this study were as follows; The BR/BB of isometric contraction appeared to be Venter as the elbow joint was more extended. The BR /BB during concentric and eccentric contraction tended to increase with more extension of the elbow joint angle, but there was no significant difference between concentric and eccentric contraction. Further, the EMG power spectrum due to the type of contraction were different betwen eccentric and concentric contraction. According to the results, it was found that the activation pattern in elbow flexor muscles was different during three different muscle contraction pattern. Therefore, elbow flexor muscles should not be considered a single functioning unit. Especially, at the time domain analysis, IEMG is a dominant parameter for analysis of activation patterns, and the skewness kurtosis can be useful parameters in functional recognition for prosthesis control purpose.

A Multiband Shunt Hybrid Active Filter with Sensorless Control

  • This paper proposes a Multiband Shunt Hybrid Active Filter (SHAF) with sensorless control. A plant is modeled in the discrete- time domain and a controller is designed using the Pole shifting law in the polynomial domain. This control approach is very useful for filtering the load harmonics with reduced sensor counts where a low cost solution like SHAF is required. Multiple Synchronous Reference Frames (MSRF) and low pass filters are used to measure the $5^{th}$ and $7^{th}$ harmonic components separately from the load and filter currents. Individual current controllers are designed for the $5^{th}$ and $7^{th}$ harmonic currents. Control is realized in the stationary, three-phase (abc) reference frame. Performance of the controller is validated through simulation, using realistic plant and controller models, as well as experimentally on a full-scale distribution system.

  • This paper proposes an implementation of a line- voltage sensorless three-phase active power filter. The line synchronization for an active power filter does not require any additional hardware. It can be properly operated under various line-voltage variation. Current compensation is done in the time domain allowing fast time response. All control functions are implemented in software using a single-chip microcontroller, thus simplifying the control circuit. It is shown via experimental results that the proposed controller gives good performance for the line-voltage sensorless active power filter.

  • Power tracking은 발전기가 생산하는 전력의 흐름을 추적함으로써 특정 발전기가 특정 부하에 공급하는 전력의 양, 측정 송전선 점유율, 계통손실에 기여량 등을 결정할 수 있게 해준다. 본 논문에서는 loop화되어 있는 실계통을 여러 domain으로 나누고 하나의 domain 또는 중첩된 domain 간의 교류송전선의 대체 안으로 FACTS나 HVDC과 같은 active 소자의 설치위치를 선정하기 위해 power tracking을 이용하였으며 이를 효과적으로 시각화 하기위한 프로그램을 개발하였다.

  • 선형변환기법을 이용하여 사다리형태의 수동여파회로를 능동화하는데 있어서 새로운 방식을 제시하였다. 전압과 전류영역으로 나타내는 회로망변수를 선형변환메이트릭스의 사용으로 새로운 영역의 변수로 바꾸어서 회로를 능동화하는 과정에서 종전의 방법은 개개의 리액턴스소자에 대해서 선형변환을 적용하는데 비하여 본연구에서는 병렬과 직렬의 두개의 리액턴스소자에 동시에 선형변환을 적용함으로써 회로능동화에 소요되는 연산증폭기의 개수를 여파기의 차수와 같도록 줄일수 있었다. 저역통과여파기의 경우. 선형변환메이트릭스를 적절하게 선택함으로써 사다리형회로의 리액턴스소자의 배치여하에 관계없이 규칙적이며 단계적인 회로능동화를 가능하게 하였다. 이 방법에 따라 5차 Chebyshev 저역통과여파회로를 능동화한 다음 이론치에 매우 근사한 주파수특성을 측정으로 얻음으로써 이 방식의 타당성을 입증하였다.

Intelligent hybrid controlled structures with soil-structure interaction

  • A hybrid control system is presented for seismic-resistant building structures with and without soil-structure interaction (SSI). The hybrid control is a damper-actuator-bracing control system composed of passive and active controllers. An intelligent algorithm is developed for the hybrid system, in which the passive damper is designed for minor and moderate earthquakes and the active control is designed to activate when the structural response is greater than a given threshold quantity. Thus, the external energy for active controller can be optimally utilized. In the control of a multistory building, the controller placement is determined by evaluating the optimal location index (OLI) calculated from six earthquake sources. In the study, the soil-structure interaction is considered both in frequency domain and time domain analyses. It is found that the interaction can significantly affect the control effectiveness. In the hybrid control algorithm with intelligent strategy, the working stages of passive and active controllers can be different for a building with and without considering SSI. Thus SSI is essential to be included in predicting the response history of a controlled structure.
