Effect of Deposition Parameter on Ionic Conductivity of RF Magnetron Sputtered Li$_2$O-B$_2$O$_3$-SiO$_2$ Solid Electroiyte Films (RF 마그네트론 스퍼터링법으로 증착된 Li$_2$O-B$_2$O$_3$-SiO$_2$ 계 비정질 박막 고체전해질의 증착변수에 따른 이온전도 특성에 관한 연구)

  • Effects of deposition parameter on the ionic conductivity and structural change of the Lithium borosili-cate solid electrolyte films, prepared by rf sputtering using 7$LI_2O-3B_2O_3-1SiO_2$ single phase target and also a mosaic target enriched with $LI_2O$, were analyzed by measuring AC impedance and IR absorption spectra for the films. Thed solid electrolyte film deposited from the single phase target exhibited very low ionic conductivi-ty of $10^{-10}{\Omega}^{-1}cm{-1}$ at room temperature, a result of low $Li^+$ ion content(7.52 at%) in the film. The $Li^+$ con-ductivity for the films deposited from the mosaic target, however, significantly increased to $10^{-7}{\Omega}^{-1}cm{-1}$ due to both an increased $Li^+$content (14.75 at %) and a structural change of the films. The increased ionic conduc-tivity of the film appears to be associated with an easiness of ionic mobility by structural change of glassy film from a some close packed network structure to a open one. These structural changes of film were found to be closely related to the increase in the peak intensity at~$960cm^{-1}$ of IR absorption spectra for the glassy films. With increasing either argon pressure from 3 to 21 mtorr or rf power from 2 to 3 W/$cm^2$, the $Li^+$ conduc-tivity for the films significantly increased to an order of $10^{-6}{\Omega}^{-1}cm{-1}$ due to an increase in openness of film structure, as confirmed by both an increase in the IR absorption peak intensity at ~$960cm^{-1}$ and a resultant reduction of activation energy for mobility of $Li^+$ ion.

  • High temperature tensiles tests, steady state creep tests, internal stress tests and creep rupture tests using Al 7075 alloy were performed over the temperature range of 9$0^{\circ}C$~50$0^{\circ}C$ and stress range of 0.64~17.2(kgf/$\textrm{mm}^2$) in order to investigate the creep behavior and predict creep rupture life From the apparent activation energy Qc and the applied stress exponent n measured, at the temperature range of 9$0^{\circ}C$~l2$0^{\circ}C$, the creep deformation seemed to be controlled by cross slip. On the other hand at the temperature of 20$0^{\circ}C$~23$0^{\circ}C$ the creep deformation seemed to be controlled by dislocation climb but at 47$0^{\circ}C$~50$0^{\circ}C$, by diffusion creep. And the rupture life(t$_{f}$) might be represented by anthermal process attributed to the difference of the applied stress dependence of Internal stress and the ratio of the Internal stress to the applied stress, the thermal activated process attributied to the temperature dependence of the internal stress. Also the ratio between stress dependence of primary creep rate and that of minimum creep rate was measured 0.46, the minimum creep rate is expected to be appromately obtained from master creep curve including the relationship primary creep rate and minumum creep rate. Finally the relationship new rupture parameter and logarithmic stress was represented with including the ratio between the dependence of primary creep rate and that of minimum creep rate, using the new rupture parameter the rupture life predition is exactly expected.d.

Color and Chlorophyll of Blanched Vegetable Soybean by NaCl (열처리 시 소금첨가에 의한 풋콩의 색과 Chlorophyll 함량 변화)

  • Vegetable soybeans were blanched at 80, 90 and $100^{\circ}C$ for 30, 20 and 10min, respectively. NaCl(3%) was also used to measure the protective effect of soybean color. The color of vegetable soybeans was measured by colorimeter, -a value (greenness) was highest at $100^{\circ}C$-10min. However, the chlorophyll contents was highest at $80^{\circ}C$-30min. NaCl (3%) decreased the loss of chlorophyll in blanched vegetable soybeans. The reaction rate constant for the thermal degradation of chlorophyll and greenness doubled per $10^{\circ}C$. The activation energy chlorophyll a of pod for thermal degradation of chlorophyll a in pods were 138.02 (unsalted), 146.63 (salted) Kcal/mol, respectively.

  • The spinel compound was obtained by the thermal decomposition of Zn-Co and Zn-Ni gel prepared by sol-gel method using oxalic acid as a chelating agent. The formation of spinel compound has been comfirmed by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), x-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and infrared spectroscopy (IR). The particle size of 13 nm~16 nm was calculated by Scherrer's equation. The sol-gel method provides a practicable and effective route for the synthesis of the spinel compound at low temperature ($350^{\circ}C$). The kinetic parameters such as activation energy (Ea) and pre-exponential factor (A) for each compound were found by means of the Kissinger method and Arrhenius equation. The decomposition of spinel compound has an activation energy about 155 kJ/mol. Finally, the thermodynamic parameters (${\Delta}G^{\varphi}$, ${\Delta}H^{\varphi}$, ${\Delta}S^{\varphi}$) for decomposition of spinel compound was determined.

Creep Characteristics of Titanium Alloy(Ti-6Al-4V) at 0.3Tm (티타늄합금(Ti-6Al-4V)의 0.3Tm에서 크리프 특성)

  • Titanium alloy has widely been used as material for glasses frame parts because it has high specific strength. It is also light and harmless to human body. However, we have little design data about the mechanical properties such as the creep behaviors of the alloy. Therefore, in this study, creep tests under four constant stress conditions have been conducted with four different temperature conditions. A series of creep tests had been performed to get the basic design data and life prediction of titanium products and we have gotten the following results. First, the stress exponents decrease as the test temperatures increased. Secondly, the creep activation energy gradually decrease as the stresses became bigger. Thirdly, the constant of Larson-Miller parameter on this alloy was estimated as about 2.5. Finally, the fractographs at the creep rupture showed the ductile fracture due to the intergranullar rupture and some dimples.

Dilute Solution Properties of Biopolymer Produced by Alkali-Tolerant Bacillus sp. (알칼리 내성 Bacillus Sp.에 의한 생물 고분자의 희석용액 특성)

  • Highly viscous biopolymer from alkali-tolerant Bacillus sp. was purified and its solution properties were investigated. The intrinsic viscosities for crude biopolymer and biopolymers purified by dialysis or CPC(cetylpyridinium chloride) treatment were 58.24, 73.60 and 42.18 dL/g, respectively. The intrinsic viscosity of biopolymer showed the maximum value at the neutral pH but it was decreased remarkably at the alkaline or acidic pH. Biopolymer exhibited the property of polyelectrolyte, showing the sharp decrease of intrinsic viscosity by the addition of NaCl. Intrinsic viscosity of dilute solution at the low NaCl concentration was exponentially dependent on temperature and its temperature dependency was increased with NaCl concentrations. The chain stiffness, coil overlap parameter, and critical concentration were 0.09, 5.25 and 0.07g/dL, respectively. Temperature dependency on intrinsic viscosity of biopolymer solution was different each other at $45^{\circ}C$. Flow activation energies at temperatures above $45^{\circ}C$ were constant, while those at temperatures below $45^{\circ}C$ increased with increase of added NaCl concentration.

  • The LDS(Laser Direct Structuring) is one of the new direct writing methods to fabricate conductive patterns by energy beam. It uses thermoplastic polymers with an additive compound that serves as plating seed after the activation by laser. The advantages of LDS include the miniaturization of electrical components, design flexibility, and a reduced number of production steps. The purpose of this study is to investigate the fundamental mechanism for LDS and the characteristics of conductive patterns by laser parameters. These results were studied by SEM, EDX, and XPS analysis. We have used a 20W pulse-modulated fiber laser and copper electroless plating to fabricate conductive patterns on polymer. The result showed that electroless copper plating seed caused the laser cracking of additive compound. In particular, the additive compound contained in copper metal oxides atoms will be changed to copper metal elements. Also, the characteristics of conductive patterns were dependent on laser parameter, especially laser fluence.

Effects of Physiological Changes Evoked by Simulator Sickness on Sensibility Evaluation (Simulator Sickness에 의해 유발되는 생리적 변화가 감성평가에 미치는 영향)

  • Psychological and physiological effects from simulator sickness could be an important bias factor for sensibility evaluation. The present experiment investigated the effects of simulator sickness on sensibility evaluation in the controlled condition of driving a car for 60 minutes on a constant speed (60km/h) in graphic simulator. The simulator sickness was measured and analysed for every five minutes using their subjective evaluation and physiological signals. Results of the subjective evaluation showed that there was significant difference between rest and driving condition at 10 minutes from the start of driving, and the level of difference was increased linearly with time. The analysis on central and autonomic nervous systems showed the significant difference between rest and driving conditions after 5 minutes from the start of the driving on the parameters $\alpha$/total and $\beta$/total, and increased level of sympathetic nervous system. But there was no significant difference between different time conditions. The results indicates that physiological changes from simulator sickness can be a bias factor in objective evaluation of human sensibility which also, uses physiological signals. That is, the changes on the parameter $\alpha$/total and $\beta$/total, and on activation level of sympathetic nervous system from simulator sickness can be a bias factor for evaluation of the level of pleasantness and tension. Therefore the effort on improving the analysis by minimizing or eliminating the bias factors should be done for better and accurate sensibility evaluation in simulator environments.

  • Recently days, High Accelerated Life Test of electrical and electronic parts is increasing its importance. This study set the hypothesis to develop the method that was analysis and application of HALT for the automotive electrical and electronic parts, it used Arrhenius's Model and Eyring's Model, and ESS theory. Validity of application is proved by other test data. Especially, this study emphasis on utility of acceleration to temperature, humidity, voltage, mechanical stress and other stress. In this study set the pattem of practical application. Therefore, this study emphasis on the application of the HALT and the use of other parameter by acceleration reliability test data. The result of this study is as follows. 1) There is relationship between molar weight and material constant. 2) Characteristic of material is operating acceleration factor as well as parts failure factors. Of course, according to the characteristic of material, activation energy is often more important than molar weight. But it will be defined by more testing and improvements in practical application.

  • Chromatin texture, which partly reflects nuclear organization, is evolving as an important parameter indicating cell activation or transformation. In this study, chromatin pattern was evaluated by image analysis of the electron micrographs of follicular and papillary carcinoma cells of the thyroid gland and tested for discrimination of the two neoplasms. Digital grey images were converted from the electron micrographs, nuclear images, excluding nucleolus and intranuclear cytoplasmic inclusions, were obtained by segmentation; grey levels were standardized; and grey level histograms were generated. The histograms in follicular carcinoma showed Gaussian or near-Gaussian distribution and had a single peak, whereas those in papillary carcinoma had two peaks(bimodal), one at the black zone and the other at the white zone. In papillary carcinoma, the peak in the black zone represented an increased amount of heterochromatin particles and that at the white zone represented decreased electron density of euchromatin or nuclear matrix. These results indicate that the nuclei of follicular and papillary carcinoma cells differ in their chromatin pattern and the difference may be due to decondensed chromatin and/or matrix substances.
