A short-range underwater target detection and identification techniques using mid- and high-frequency bands have been highly developed. However, nowadays the long-range detection using the low-frequency band is requested and one of the most challengeable issues. The waveform inversion technique is widely used and the hottest technology in both academia and industry of the seismic exploration. It is based on the numerical analysis tool, and could construct more than a few kilometers of the subsurface structures and model-parameters such as P-wave velocity using a low-frequency band. By applying this technique to the underwater acoustic circumstance, firstly application of underwater target detection is verified. Furthermore, subsurface structures and it's parameters of the war-field are well reconstructed. We can confirm that this technique greatly reduces the false-alarm rate for the underwater targets because it could accurately reproduce both the shape and the model-parameters at the same time.

The role of the window length of time-frequency transformation is important for the audio data hiding methods utilizing phase information. In this paper, the experiments for our audio data hiding method were conducted in order to evaluate the audio quality and robustness against reverberant environment. The experimental results showed the tendency that the worse audio quality but better robustness were obtained when the lengthy window was applied. The important reason for quality degradation was pre-echo which flatters the percussive sound. The results also indicated that the wireless communication theory related to the length of time-frequency transform can be applied in the field of audio data hiding and acoustic data transmission.

Among the various elements affecting a customer's evaluation of automobile quality, buzz, squeak and rattle (BSR) are considered to be major factors. In most vehicle manufacturers, the BSR problems are solved by find-fix method with the vehicle road test, mainly due to various excitation sources, complex generation mechanism and subjective response. The aim of this paper is to develop the integrated experimental method to systematically tackle the BSR problems in early stage of the vehicle development cycle by resolving these difficulties. To achieve this aim, the developed experimental method ought to include the following requirements: to find and fix the BSR problem for modules instead of a full vehicle in order to tackle the problem in the early stage of the vehicle development cycle; to develop the exciter system including the zig and road-input-signal reproducing algorithm; to automatically localize the source region of BSR; to develop sound quality index that can be used to assess the subjective responses to BSR. Also, the BSR sound quality indexes based on the Zwicker's sound quality parameters using a multiple regression analysis. The four sound metrics from Zwicker's sound quality parameter are computed for the signals recorded for eight BSR noise source regions localized by using the acoustic-field visualized results. Then, the jury test of BSR noise are performed for participants. On a basis of the computed sound metrics and jury test result, sound quality index is developed to represent the harsh of BSR noise. It is expected that the developed BSR detection system and sound quality indexes can be used to reduce the automotive interior BSR noise in terms of subjective levels as well as objective levels.

In-situ stress measurement using AE (Acoustic Emission) and DRA (Deformation Rate Analysis) is usually carried out under uniaxial loading in the laboratory and it consumes delay time from drilling to testing. Therefore, it should be considered how the lateral stress and delay time influence on the test results for the in-situ stress determination. As the delay time increased, the accuracy of estimating the pre-stress decreased. The pre-stress of the specimen loaded only axially was determined within an error of less than 9% (using AE) and 4% (using DRA). And the specimen on which axial pre-stress and the confining pressure were loaded had an error of less than 17% (using AE) and 14% (using DRA). The results of AE and DRA for field specimens were very similar with each other but smaller than those of hydraulic fracturing method.

The high-skewed and/or composite propellers of current interests to reduce the ship vibration and to increase the acoustic performance are likely to be exposed to the unexpected structural problems. One typical example is that the added mass effect on the propellers working in the non-uniform wake field reduces the natural frequency of the propeller leading to the resonance with the low-frequency excitation of the external forces. To avoid this resonance problem during the design stage, the technique of fluid-structure interaction has been developed, but the higher-order effect of the blade geometry deformation is not yet considered in evaluating the added mass effects. In this paper the fluid boundary-value problem is formulated by the potential-based panel method in the inviscid fluid region with the velocity inflow due to the body deformation, and the structural response of the solid body under the hydrodynamic loading is solved by applying the finite element method which implements the 20-node iso-parametric element model. The fluid-structure problem is solved iteratively. A basic fluid-sturcture interaction study is performed with the simple rectangular plates of thin thickness with various planform submerged in the water of infinite extent. The computations show good correlation with the experimental results of Linholm, et al. (1965).
It has been established that the acoustic mode parameters of the Sun and Sun-like stars vary over activity cycles. Since the observed variations are not consistent with an activity-related origin, even Sun-like stars showing out-of-phase changes of mode frequencies and amplitudes need to be carefully studied using other observational quantities. In order to test whether the presumed relations between the global seismic parameters are a signature of the stellar activity cycle, we analyze the photometric light curve of HD 49933 for which the first direct detection of an asteroseismic signature for activity-induced variations in a Sun-like star was made, using observations by the CoRoT space telescope. We find that the amplitude of the envelope significantly anti-correlates with both the maximum frequency of the envelope and the width of the envelope unless superflare-like events completely contaminate the light curve. However, even though the photometric proxy for stellar magnetic activity appears to show relations with the global asteroseismic parameters, they are statistically insignificant. Therefore, we conclude that the global asteroseismic parameters can be utilized in cross-checking asteroseismic detections of activity-related variations in Sun-like stars, and that it is probably less secure and effective to construct a photometric magnetic activity proxy to indirectly correlate the global asteroseismic parameters. Finally, we seismically estimate the mass of HD 49933 based on our determination of the large separation of HD 49933 with evolutionary tracks computed by the MESA code and find a value of about 1.2M☉ and a sub-solar metallicity of Z = 0.008, which agrees with the current consensus and with asteroseismic and non-asteroseismic data.
In this study, waves and currents observed by acoustic AWAC, VECTOR and Aquadopp Profiler in Anmok coastal waters were analysed to account for the variability of wave and current and to understand the mechanism of sediment transport generated by wave-induced current in the surf-zone. The monthly variation of wave and residual currents were analysed and processed with long-term observed AWAC data at station W1, located at the water depth of about 18m measured during from February 2015 to September 2016. Wave-induced currents were also analysed with intensive field measurements such as wave, current, suspended sediment, and bathymetry data observed at the surf-zone during in winter and summer. The statistical result of wave data shows that high waves coming from NNE and NE in winter (DEC-FEB) are dominant due to strong winds from NE. But in the other season waves coming from NE and ENE are prevalent due to the seasonal winds from E and SE. The residual currents with southeastern direction parallel to the shoreline are dominant throughout a year except in winter showing in opposite direction. The speed of ebb-dominant southeastern residual currents decreasing from surface to the bottom is strong in summer and fall but weak in winter and spring. By analysing wave-induced current, we found that cross-shore current were generated by swell waves mainly in winter with incoming wave direction about $45^{\circ}$ normal to the shoreline. Depending on the direction of incoming waves, longshore currents in the surf-zone were separated to southeastern and northwestern flows in winter and summer respectively. The variation of observed currents near crescentic bars in the surf-zone shows different direction of longshore and cross-shore currents depending on incoming waves implying to the reason of beach erosion generating the beach cusp and sandbar migration during high waves at Anmok.
In this study, we explored the potential of integrating interactive AI callbot technology into the medical consultation domain as part of a broader service development initiative. Aimed at enhancing patient satisfaction, the AI callbot was designed to efficiently address queries from hospitals' primary users, especially the elderly and those using phone services. By incorporating an AI-driven callbot into the hospital's customer service center, routine tasks such as appointment modifications and cancellations were efficiently managed by the AI Callbot Agent. On the other hand, tasks requiring more detailed attention or specialization were addressed by Human Agents, ensuring a balanced and collaborative approach. The deep learning model for voice recognition for this study was based on the Transformer model and fine-tuned to fit the medical field using a pre-trained model. Existing recording files were converted into learning data to perform SSL(self-supervised learning) Model was implemented. The ANN (Artificial neural network) neural network model was used to analyze voice signals and interpret them as text, and after actual application, the intent was enriched through reinforcement learning to continuously improve accuracy. In the case of TTS(Text To Speech), the Transformer model was applied to Text Analysis, Acoustic model, and Vocoder, and Google's Natural Language API was applied to recognize intent. As the research progresses, there are challenges to solve, such as interconnection issues between various EMR providers, problems with doctor's time slots, problems with two or more hospital appointments, and problems with patient use. However, there are specialized problems that are easy to make reservations. Implementation of the callbot service in hospitals appears to be applicable immediately.

This study is focused on the analysis of loop characteristics of stage-discharge relation which is widely used for the production of discharge data and the simulation of loop stage-discharge relation using the numerical model. Analysis of consecutive stage and discharge data at 3 points revealed that loop of stage-discharge relationship is very strong. This means that the existing single stage-discharge relation may include large amount of error. Various flood events are simulated in mainstream of Han river with one-dimensional numerical model. The calculated stage data are compared with measured data. Especially continuous field-flow measurements concurrently collected with an Acoustic Doppler Velocity Meter (ADVM) on Hangang bridge in the case of 2007 flood event are used to verify the model applicability of estimating flows in open channels. This comparison shows that numerical model is an accurate and reliable alternative for making the real stage-discharge relation. Simulation of stage-discharge relation by a numerical model at Paldang and Hangang bridge showed good agreements with measured one, so it may be possible to generate real loop stage-discharge relation with properly calibrated and verified numerical model. It can be concluded that results of this study can contribute to error analysis of conventional single stage-discharge relation and development of loop stage-discharge relation with numerical model.

In this paper, we propose a 3-D geometric localization method for near-field broadband source in shallow water environments. According to the waveguide invariant theory, slope of the interference pattern which is seen in a sensor spectrogram directly proportional to a range of the source. The relative ratio of the range between source and sensors was estimated by matching of two interference patterns in spectrogram. Then this ratio is applied to the Apollonius's circle which shows the locus of a source whose range ratio from two sensors is constant. Two Apollonius's circles from three sensors make the intersection point that means the horizontal range and the azimuth angle of the source. And this intersection point is constant with source depth. Therefore the source depth can be estimated using 3-D hyperboloid equation whose range difference from two sensors is constant. To evaluate a performance of the proposed localization algorithm, simulation is performed using acoustic propagation program and analysis of localization error is demonstrated. From simulation results, error estimate for range and depth is described within 50 m and 15 m respectively.
