황산용액과 수산화나트륨용액의 침출에 의한 국내산 흑연 정광으로부터 불순물 제거 (The Removal of Impurities from Domestic Graphite Concentrate by H2SO4 Solution and NaOH Solution Leaching)

  • 국내산 흑연정광으로부터 불순물을 제거하기 위해 황산용액 및 수산화나트륨용액을 이용하여 침출실험을 진행하였다. 황산용액과 수산화나트륨용액을 각각 사용하여 침출실험을 진행한 결과, 수산화나트륨과 황산의 농도가 2 mol/L 이상에서 제거효과의 차이가 미미하고, 황산용액침출에서 온도가 증가함에 따라 고정탄소함량이 증가하는 것에 비해 수산화나트륨용액에서는 150℃ 이상에서 큰 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 수산화나트륨용액침출은 2 mol/L NaOH, 200℃, 1시간의 조건으로 선정하고, 황산용액침출은 2 mol/L H2SO4, 100℃, 1 시간의 조건으로 선정하여 5회까지 반복하여 침출을 진행하였다. 황산용액침출 후 수산화나트륨용액침출을 5회 반복했을 때 고정탄소는 99.95 %까지 증가하였고, 회분은 0.048 %까지 감소하였다. 수산화나트륨용액침출 후 황산용액침출을 5회 반복한 결과, 고정탄소는 99.98 %, 회분은 0.018까지 감소하여 수산화나트륨용액 침출 후 황산용액침출을 수행한 결과가 다소 높게 나타났다.

규불화수소산을 이용한 실리콘 산화물 필름 제조에 관한 연구 (Preparation of Silicon Oxide Thin Film using Hydrofluorosilicic Acid)

  • Typical metal oxide thin films having optical and electrical properties are widely used as inorganic functional materials. Liquid phase deposition(LPD) method, a new low temperature process, has been developed for the several advantages of no vacuum system, low cost, high throughput, and low processing temperature(<$50^{\circ}C$). Silica powder was added to 40wt% hydrofluoro-silicic acid($H_2$SiF\ulcorner) to obtain an immersing solution of silica-saturated hydrofluorosilicic acid solution. Boric acid solution was continuously added in the range from 0 to 0.05M to prepare supersaturated hydrofluorosilicic acid solution. LPD $SiL_2$film was formed with the variation of added amount of $H_2$O. The SiO$_2$thin film could be prepared from hydrofluorosilicic acid by LPD method. The thickness of LPD $_SiO2$film was influenced by the boric acid concentration and added amount of $H_2$O. Silicon in thin film existed as SiF\ulcorner by Raman spectrum.

글루탐산 용액 처리에 따른 발아현미 중의 감마-아미노낙산 및 일부 아미노산 함량변화 (Changes in the Levels of $\gamma$-Aminobutyric Acid and Some Amino Acids by Application of a Glutamic Acid Solution for the Germination of Brown Rices)

  • GABA가 고함유된 발아현미를 생산할 수 있는 전략을 마련하고자 현미발아시 통상적인 물발아구 외에 젖산발아구, glutamic acid발아구로 나누어 발아 이전의 현미와 GABA 및 일부 유리아미노산 함량을 비교분석하였다. 5 mM glutamic acid 용액을 발아에 사용한 경우 가장 높은 GABA 함량 증진을 보여 시료 g당 및 시료 추출물 중의 단백질 mg당 증가정도가 발아하지 않은 현미에 비해 각각 8배와 12배로 나타났다. 또한 glutamic acid 발아구는 물발아나 젖산발아시 현저히 감소되던 serine의 함량을 오히려 증진시켰다. 모든 발아구에서 GABA 및 alanine 함량이 증진된 것과 는 반대로 glutamic acid와 aspartic acid 함량은 현저히 감소 하였다. 이는 발아 과정에 의해 glutamic acid는 GABA로 aspartic acid는 alanine으로 전환된 것에 기인된 것이라 여겨진다. 이상의 결과를 종합하면 현미발아시 glutamic acid액을 사용하면 기능성 물질인 GABA 함량을 현저히 증진시키며, serine의 감소를 막을 수 있어 기능성이 보강된 발아현미를 얻을 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

천연염료에 관한 연구(8) - 양파 Quercetin 색소에 의한 견섬유의 처리 - (Studies on the Natural Dyes(8) - Treatment of Silk with Ouercetin Color of Onion′s Coats -)

  • The optical behavior of coloring matter extracted from onion's coats, the depression effects of destruction, yellowing and W transmittance of silk treated with color solution of onion's coats color difference of silk fabrics dyed with acid dyes and drycleaning fastness of silk treated with color solution has been investigated. The results are as follows : 1) The coloring matter extracted from onion's coats by alkali-acid method appeared properties of aglycon type. 2) &{\lambda}_{max}&of color solution extracted by distilled water was found at 280 and 327nm. 3) The decrease of tensile strength and the elongation of the silk treated with color solution were depressed but those of untreated silk were increased by irradiation of UV light. 4) The yellowness index of silk treated with color solution showed a little change by irradiation. 5) The UV transmittance of silk treated with color solution was decreased as increasing concentration of color solution. 6) The color difference after dyeing with several acid dyes on treated and untreated silk fabrics showed remarkable changes. 7) Drycleaning fastness of silk treated by color solution was excellent.

Borax 및 Boric Acid에 의한 면직물의 일시적 방염 가공 (Non-durable Flame Retardant Finish of Cotton Fabric by Borax and Boric Acid)

  • Non-durable flame retardant finish, borax/boric acid mixed solution, was applied to cotton fabric with pad-dry method. The LOI(limited oxygen index) was measured as the measare of the flame retardant effect. The TGA was investigated to know the thermal behavior of the samples. In addition, the solubility of the solutions was investigated. The results were as follows: 1) There was a synergism of flame retardant effect in the borax/boric acid mixed solution treatment and the maximum synergism was shown around the ratio of 7 : 3 2) After the borax/boric acid solution treatment, the degradation temperature was lowered and degraded at the larger temp range with slower rate. The residual char length also increased. 3) The solubility of borax/boric acid become higher when the ratio of borax/boric acid became similar. Compositions from 80/20 to 40/60 borax/boric acid mixtures were solubilized well in room temperatuare or warmwater therefor there was no problem for home use.

  • In this paper, we have studied the characteristics of wet etching using citric acid based wet etchant. We have used the citric acid / hydrogen peroxide solution, citric acid / hydrogen peroxide / D.I. water solution. From our experimental result, a volumetric 1:3 ratio of citric acid and hydrogen peroxide and 1 : 3 : 1 ratio of citric acid, hydrogen peroxide, and D.I. water is shown to be a better wet etchant of PHEMT's system.

저탄소강 용접열영향부의 NaCl, H2S 수용액에서 생성되는 부식스케일 분석 (Analysis on the Scales formed on the Heat Affected Zone of Low Carbon Steel Weld in NaCl and H2S Water Solutions)

  • The A106 Gr B low carbon steel, which was used in the electric power plants and heavy chemical plants, was welded by multi-pass arc welding. The heat affected zone (HAZ) formed by welding was corroded in acid chloride solution, or in saturated $H_2S$ containing acid chloride solution, or in saturated $H_2S$ containing acid chloride solution under applied current. In this order of corrosion solution, the rate of corrosion increased, because $H_2S$ accelerated the iron dissolution, hydrogen evolution, and the formation of nonprotective FeS, whereas the applied current accelerated the electrochemical reaction. The scales formed in acid chloride solution consisted primarily of $Fe_3O_4$, while those formed in $H_2S$ containing acid chloride solution consisted primarily of $Fe_3O_4$ and FeS.

상추 수경재배시 생리적 산, 알칼리를 이용한 배양액 pH의 자동 조절 (Automatic pH Control of Nutrient Solution by Physiological Fertilizers in Lettuce Hydroponics)

  • 수경재배시 변화하는 배양액 pH를 동적으로 조절하기 위한 방법으로 생리적 산, 알칼리와 화학적 산, 알칼리의 효율성을 검토하였다. 배양액 자동조절시스템에 생리적 산, 알칼리로 NH$_4$H$_2$PO$_4$ 및 NaNO$_3$를 이용하고, 화학적 산으로 H$_2$SO$_4$를 이용하여 상추를 재배한 결과, 처리에 관계없이 배양액의 pH를 안정적으로 조절할 수 있었다. 생리적 산, 알칼리의 경우 화학적 산, 알칼리보다 배양액 pH를 급격히 변화시켰으며, 그에 따른 해작용은 나타나지 않았다. 그러므로 상추의 순수수경재배시 배양액의 pH를 자동제어 하기 위한 방법으로, 생육 기간 중에는 화학적 산, 알칼리를 이용하여 pH를 조절하고 수확 며칠 전부터 NH$_4$H$_2$PO$_4$를 화학적 알칼리와 겸해서 공급하는 것이 바람직한 것으로 사료된다.

Release of Cu from SDS micellar solution using complexing agents

  • Micellar enhanced ultrafiltration (MEUF) is a surfactant-based separation process and it can remove heavy metal ions from aqueous stream effectively. However, it is necessary to recover and reuse surfactants for economic feasibility because surfactant is expensive. Foam fractionation was investigated for both anionic and cationic surfactant recovery. Chelating agent such as ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) was studied for the separation of heavy metals from surfactant solution. Anionic surfactants bound with heavy metals can be recovered by lowering pH (acidification). In this study, citric acid and imminodiacetic acid (IDA) were applied to release copper from sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) micellar solution and compared with EDTA. Precipitation of copper by ferricynide and sodium sulfide were also investigated. As a result, ca. 100 % of copper was released from SDS micellar solution by 5 mM of EDTA and citric acid. And 3.3 mM of ferricyanide formed precipitate with 82.7 % of copper. 5 mM of IDA and sodium sulfide released or formed precipitate 82.5 % and 58.9 % of copper, respectively. Citric acid is harmless to environments and ferricyanide precipitates with Cu easily. Therefore, it is considered that citric acid and ferricyanide have competiveness over a famous chelating agent, EDTA, for the separation of Cu from SDS solution.

유기산을 이용한 납 오염토양의 복원에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Pb-contaminated Soil Remediation by Organic Acid Washing)

  • A study on the removal of Pb ion from Pb-contaminated soil was carried out using ex-site extraction process. Tartaric acid (TA) and iminodiacetic acid sodium salt(IDA) as a washing agent were evaluated as a function of concentration reaction time mixing ratio of washing agent and recycling of washing agent. TA showed a better extraction performance than IDA. The optimum washing condition of TA and IDA were in the ratio of 1:15 and 1:20 between soil and acid solution during 1 hr reaction. The total concentrations of Pb ion by TA and IDA at three repeated extraction were 368.8 ppm and 267.5 ppm respectively. The recovery of Pb ion from washing solution was achieved by adding calcium hydroxide and sodium sulfide form the precipitation of lead hydroxide and lead sulfide and optimum amounts of sodium sulfide and calcium hydroxide were 7 g/$\ell$ for the TA washing solution and 4 g/$\ell$, 5g/$\ell$ for the IDA washing solution respectively. The efficiency of recycle for TA and IDA washing solution were 78.8% , 95.1%, and 89.2%, 96.6% at third extractions under $Na_2S$ and $Ca(OH)_2$, respectively.
