This study examines the character of "Tencel" named as Ecology Fiber and investigates the fitness of it as the textile and the satisfaction in dress when its fastness is compared with that of Rayon classified into Celulose textile. Dye experiment selected 100% Tencel, Rayon for the samples, which were dyed into the direct dye and Turky Blue and Blue of the rective dye and were washed twelve times by the automatic washer. After that, the dye experiment examines the light, laundering, perspiration, rubbing and the composite fastness of the perspiration and hight in the lists of the dye fastness. The results are as follows: 1. The experiment of the color fastness, especially in T-blue of the direct dyestuff, requiring the twelve times-repeatedly-washing by the detergent says that the color fastness of Tencel is superior to that of the cellulose textile ; Rayon. 2. The experiment of the light fastness says that the fastness of Tencel is superior to that of Rayon. 3. The experiment of the laundering fastness says that all of Tencel, Rayon shows the excellent result in the direct dye than in the reactive dye. 4. The experiment of the rubbing fastness says that although Tencel, Rayon show the remarkable result in the desiccant experiment than in the humid one, the rubbing fastness of Tencel is superior to that of others. 5. The experiment of perspiration fastness says that Tencel, Rayon have the closely tightened tendency not to be altered through the acid and alkali perspirations. 6. The experiment of the composite fastness of perspiration and light indicates that the artifical perspirations, though the light lets the fastness of textiles weeken, do very slightly make them loosen, which does not offer the outstanding result. This whole result show that the fastness of Tencel is superior to that of Rayon. The Korean Fiber Enterprise in clothing should make the new and ecological fiber "Tencel" by means of the large amount of investment, and the technique of handing and controlling about it, considering that the dangerous needle of environmental pollution has been slackening the close-related ecological knots of the global environment. global environment.
An alkalophilic microorganism capable of degrading dyes was developed for the treatment of alkaline dye solution. This strain was identified as Pseudomonas species. Using this microorganism, biological treatment of dye was studied in Erlenmeyer flasks. The characteristics of this microorganism were observed under various incubating-condition such as temperature, pH, nitrogen source, and macronutrients concentration. The removal effciencies of Disperse Red 60 from synthetic wastewater were 33.5 ~ 36.9% at the range of $30{\sim}40^{\circ}C$, and they were 31.1 ~ 36.7% at the range of initial pH 8 ~ pH 10, respectively. The optimal culture medium was found to be 0.25%(w/v) yeast extract, 0.25%(w/v) polypeptone, 0.1%(w/v) $KH_2PO_4$, 0.2%(w/v) $MgSO_4{\cdot}7H_2O$, and 1.0%(w/v) $Na_2CO_3$. In treatment of various dyes using Erlenmeyer flasks, the removal effciencies of Disperse Blue 87, Disperse Yellow 64, Disperse Red 60, Acid Blue 193, Acid Red 138, and Direct Yellow 23 were found to be 76%, 71%, 58%, 93%, 94%, and 90% respectively after 24hrs reaction of alkalophilic strain Pseudomonas sp. 3D printing has been considered a key technology, leading the fourth industrial revolution. However, 3D printed textile still has a lot of limitations to overcome before it can be adopted as a clothing material in terms of design, flexibility and dyeability. This study aims to provide modeling design for imparting the flexibility and post-dyeing process for 3D printed textiles. The modeling types were designed to test the flexibility of 3D printed textiles. The post-dyeing process was evaluated through dye absorption depending on the resin and modeling types, respectively. The results were as follows: two types of modeling (Modeling A and B) were designed with a ring structure to test the flexibility of the 3D printed textiles. The 3D printed textiles with ring-based structure Modeling A had flexibility regardless of the hardness of resin types. In the dyeability test, softening resin (S-Resin) and hardening resin (H-Resin) were found to have good dyeability with acid dye and direct dye, respectively. The condition of S-Resin with acid dye and H-Resin with direct dye was controlled by dye absorption rate.
Since heavy metal pollution is a significant global environmental problem and very dangerous to human health, the improved methods for detecting heavy metals are required recently. Colorimetric chemosensors are now considered as one of the most effective analytical method used in the environment monitoring. New direct dyes having the function of colorimetric chemosensors were synthesized. When metal ions such as $Al^{3+}$, $Ca^{2+}$, $Cd^{2+}$, $Cr^{3+}$, $Cu^{2+}$, $Fe^{2+}$, $Fe^{3+}$, $Hg^{2+}$, $Li^+$, $Mg^{2+}$, $Na^+$, $Ni^{2+}$, $Pb^{2+}$ and $Zn^{2+}$ were added each solution of new direct dyes, the color of solution was changed and can be easily detected with naked eyes without expensive experimental equipment such as atomic absorption spectrometer (AAS) or inductively coupled plasma?mass spectrometer (ICP-MS). The new benzidine analogues were diazotized and reacted with couplers such as H-acid, J-acid, Chromotropic acid, Nevill-winther acid and gamma acid to synthesize new direct dyes. The structures of the new direct dyes were confirmed by high resolution mass spectrometer (FAB ionization) and evaluated with UV-Vis spectroscopy. The UV-VIS spectroscopy was measured for the dye solutions by adding various concentrations of metal ions. It was observed that the absorbance in UV-Vis spectra was changed as the heavy metal ions were added.

Cotton fibers were treated, with 1, 2, 3, 4-butanetetracarboxylic acid (BTCA) which is formaldehyde-free reagent to impart durable press performance. The dyeability, dyeing rate, and diffusion coefficient, of BTCA treated cottons were compared to prove the changes of pore size structure using direct dyes and disperse dyes. Diffusion coefficients of BTCA treated cotton fibers were determined at acidic conditions to figure out the effect of swelling. Since the dyeability of BTCA treated cotton fibers dyed with direct dyes were reduced, it is considered that the dyeability to direct dyes is related to the quantity of residual large pores. But, the dyeability to disperse dyes were increased due to the less reduction of small pore sizes and the increase of hydrophobicity in BTCA treated cotton cellulose. The dyeability to direct dye and disperse dye were decreased more at acidic conditions than at neutral conditions. It seemed that the swelling of pores in the fiber were inhibited.
Nanofiltration[NF45] and reverse osmosis membrane(HR98PP) separation treatment of dyestuff wastewater was carried out In order to separate relatively pure water from synthetic dyestuff wastewater, which consists of reactive dye, acid dye, basic dye, direct dye, and disperse dye. The experiments were performed by using the plate and frame membrane module. In the nanofiltration and reverse osmosis membrane separation, When the NaCl concentration was 0.1, 5.0, and 20.091, retention was 63.0, 46.0, 0.9%, respectively. When permeate flux was 125.0, 67.5, and 45.0 L/$m^2$ h, the osmotic pressure increased with Increasing the NaCl concentration. Permeate flux of two membranes Increased as temperature Increased due to segmental movement of polymer of the membrane and the rejection rate of dyestuff was decreased gradually. It was found that the rejection rate was about 95% in the nanofiltratlon, while the reverse osmosis membrane showed a high rejection rate of 99% under all temperature and pressures conditions.

Wool fabric and merino wool top were dyed with two dyes, C.I. Acid Red 13 and C.I. Direct Blue 1 in presence of hydrogen peroxide/glyoxal redox system at various conditions such as dyeing time, temperature and redox concentration. The pH of dye bath was 4.5 in buffer solution of $KH_{2}PO_{4}$ (0.1mol/1)/$Na_{2}HPO_{4}$ (0.1mol/1). Also dyeing of cotton fabric was carried out with C.I. Direct Blue 1 in absence or presence of redox system. The color depth(K/S) increased with redox concentration and dyeing temperature. The increases in dyeing rate and equilibrium dye exhaustion of Acid Acid 13 and Direct Blue 1 on wool fiber and fabric in the present of hydrogen peroxide/glyoxal have been caused by decreasing in pH value during dyeing process which due to the decomposition of hydrogen ion in glyoxal with the assistance of hydrogen peroxide. But the decreases in exhaustion of Direct Blue 1 on cotton may be attributed to repulsive interac ion between salt and salt.

Cotton fabric is usually dyed with anionic dyes such as direct and reactive dyes. Naturally, there is no affinity for basic dyes to cotton fiber. In this study, to improve the dyeability of cotton fiber with cationic dyes, the fabric was pretreated with air plasma and grafted with acrylic acid to create acidic groups on the surface of cotton fibers. The grafted samples were dyed with natural cationic dye extracted from roots of berberis vulgaris. The effect of plasma treatment and grafting of acrylic acid on the color strength of cotton fabric was studied.

Cotton, wool, cotton/wool blended (80:20) and tencel fabrics were treated with low temperature oxygen plasma, enzymes (cellulase or protease), or oxygen plasma-enzyme and they were examined for dyeing and handling properties for environment friendly finishing. The appropriate conditions for cellulase treatment were enzyme concentration of 3g/l, pH of 5, and $60^{\circ}C$ for one hour, and for protease treatment were enzyme concentration of 4g/l, pH of 8, and $60^{\circ}C$ for one hour. The equilibrium uptake of a direct dye on cotton changed with plasma treatment and plasma-cellulase treatment, and the rate of dyeing slightly decreased. When wool was dyed with acid dye, the equilibrium dye uptake did not change with plasma, protease treatment nor plasma-protease treatment, however, the rate of dyeing had increased with plasma-protease treatment. From these results, it is assumed that plasma attacks the surface of the fiber, and enzyme mainly affects the inner part of the fiber. Plasma treatment did not affect mechanical properties related to the handling of fabrics. The handling test showed increased extension at maxmum load(EM), tensile energy(WT) with decreased tensile resilience (RT), and the fabrics became softer but resilience decreased slightly with enzyme treatment. The bending recidity(B), hysteresis of bending moment(2HB), and hysteresis of shear force at five degrees(2HG5) decreased, however, shear stiffness(G) increased. I knew the plasma pre-treatment made fabrics softer with lower koshi(stiffness). The handling of plasma pre-treated fabrics was better than that of enzyme-treated fabrics. When we pre-treated fabrics, the handling test showed decreased coefficient of friction(MIU), geometrical roughness(SMD), while the surface of fabrics became smoother and numeri increased. Even though compression resilience(RC) increased, fukurami(bulky property) and compressive elasticity, decreased due to the linearity of compression-thickness curve(LC) and compression energy(WC).

The effect of chitosan treatment on the dyeing and dye fastness, and mechanical properties of hair was investigated in this study when the carotinoid dyestuffs extracted from African Marigold(Tagetes erecta L.) were applied to the hair. The sequences of the chitosan treatment were changed in dyeing and mordanting procedures, i.e., pre-treatment, mid-treatment, and post-treatment. While the effect of chitosan application on the color shade change was not significant, the pre-treatment of the chitosan increased the dye uptake. Discoloration and fading was observed in the lightfastness test when chitosan was mid-treated. Alkali perspiration and acid perspiration fastness test results showed that chitosan post-treatment gave lower tendency. Washing fastness results showed that chitosan post-treatment and mid-treatment gave lower values, which indicates that chitosan deters the direct formation of insoluble complex among fiber-dyestuff-mordant. In the mechanical characteristics results, however, initial modulus and breaking strength increased significantly in the post-treatment and pre-treatment of chitosan.
