지속 가능한 국내 전문직 간 교육 발전을 위한 과제: 세계 주요 국가 사례를 중심으로 (Challenges for Sustainable Interprofessional Education in South Korea: Insights from Key Global Countries)

  • Interprofessional education (IPE) is relatively new in medical schools in South Korea. Since the introduction of IPE in 2022, its effective and sustainable implementation has been of great interest in medical schools. This study analyzed literature on the development of IPE in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Japan to explore strategies for successful IPE in Korean medical schools. A systematic literature search focused on institutionalizing IPE yielded 30 papers for review. The findings included the following crucial elements for effective IPE: (1) government or institutional-led support; (2) establishment of networks and partnerships; (3) development of standardized core competency frameworks for IPE; and (4) inclusion of IPE in accreditation standards. These aspects underscore the importance of IPE as an essential component of health professional education that should be effectively and sustainably implemented in academic settings. The study concludes that the successful integration and sustainable development of IPE in Korean health education will necessitate expanded and proactive governmental support. Moreover, promoting collaborations among universities, hospitals, and local healthcare institutions will be vital for creating synergies in implementing IPE programs. Establishing networks to develop and execute joint IPE initiatives and securing initial support for conceptualizing and developing competency frameworks will be critical. Additionally, forming consortia of healthcare accreditation bodies to collaboratively develop and incorporate IPE standards into evaluation criteria will be essential. Efforts to surmount these challenges will contribute to building a structural and institutional support system for the successful introduction and sustainability of IPE in Korea.

학습성과 달성도의 공학교육인증 졸업기준 적용에 대한 논의점 (Discussions on Applying Program Outcomes to Graduation Requirements in ABEEK)

  • Many engineering schools in Korea implement ABEEK programs. One of the core parts of ABEEK is accreditation criterion 2, the program outcomes and their appraisal. This paper tries to discuss the program outcomes and to study the impact of applying the program outcomes to one of the graduation requirements. We show simple survey results for implementing ABEEK programs concerning the program outcomes and their relation to graduation requirements. If the program outcomes are used as one of the graduation requirements, some graduates may satisfy the average grade point for graduation requirements but can not meet the program outcome criteria satisfied by other than regular classes. In this case, the graduate may have trouble to try to meet the program outcome criteria, since he may not be able to stay in school without taking classes. The problems of setting the levels of program outcomes as graduation requirements, non classwork related program outcomes, and work burden to professors should be also prudently reviewed for successful ABEEK implementation.

  • This paper introduces to schematic design for Korea Institute of Toxicology Second Campus at Jeong-eup and provides fundamental information and data in order to design this laboratory facility to meet the criteria of G.L.P(Good Laboratory Practice), AAALAC(Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care) and so on. This paper especially focus on design criteria, HVAC(Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning) equipment and systems, plumbing equipment and systems, maintenance of equipment and systems and energy saving system of this laboratory facility.

공학교육인증 프로그램의 효과적인 운영 데이터 관리 방법 (Effective Data Management Method for Operational Data on Accredited Engineering Programs)

  • This study proposes an effective data management method for easing the burden on self-study report by analyzing operational data on accredited engineering programs. Four analysis criteria are developed: variability, difficulty level of collecting, urgency of analysis, timeliness. After the operational data are analyzed in terms of the analysis criteria, the data which should be managed in time are extracted according to the analysis results. This study proposes a data management method in which tasks of managing the timely-managed data are performed based on the regular academic schedule, so that the result of this study may be used as a working-level reference material.

노인장기요양보험제도에 의한 방문간호 표준개발 (Development of Home Visiting Nursing Standards Base on a Long-Term Care Insurance for the Elderly Program)

  • Purpose: The study was aimed at qualitatively enhancing and promoting a home visiting nursing program established in Korea on July 1, 2008, as part of the Long-Term Care Insurance for the Elderly program. Methods: Structural, procedural and consequential aspects of home visiting nursing care wereclassified on the horizontal axis by applying the standard notions for the evaluation of medical care (Donabedian, 1998). At the same time, the home visiting nursing care service support system and the service provision system weredivided on the vertical axis with reference to the accreditation standards for home visiting nursing care organizations suggested by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO, 2008). The data were collected from June 4, 2008 to October 27, 2008, and were analyzed using SPSS ver. 15.0. Results: Twenty-two (proposed) standards, centered on the standard elements under the conceptual framework of the study, were developed, and comprised structural aspects (n=10), procedural aspects (n=6) and consequential aspects (n=6). Those criteria and indicators underwent two content validity surveys among groups of home visiting nursing care research and training experts. The research produced 22 proposed standards, 50 proposed criteria and 166 proposed indicators. Conclusion: The home visiting nursing care standards developed pursuant to the Long-Term Care Insurance for the Elderly Act and the applicability of these standards need to be verified by home visiting nurses. These proposed standards should prove useful in developing an assessment tool to encourage the qualitative enhancement of visiting nursing care in Korea.

An Integrated System of Quality, Food Safety, Environment, Health, and Safety for Small Agricultural Companies

  • Objective: The objective of this study is to analyze standards of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, KOSHA 18001, GAP and ISO 22000 to make an integrated system and check whether an integrated system can be used at small size companies. Background: There are many certification criteria for quality, safety and health such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, KOSHA 18001, GAP and ISO 22000. However, these criteria are difficult and complicated to be used at a small size company. Thus. it is not easy for small size companies to obtain certifications using these criteria. But customers and workers of small size companies want the key points of these systems to be implemented. Method: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, KOSHA 18001, GAP and ISO 22000 were analyzed to find the commonality and duplications as well as the importance of the items in these standards. And a survey was conducted to check whether certain aspects of the anticipated integrated system can be implemented at small size companies. Results: Items were classified into categories based upon the importance to food safety, quality, safety, environment, and health. Items which are common among standards were also identified and thus give ideas to make the new standards simpler than the currently available standards. Items which were important but may not be easily implemented at the small size companies were also identified. Conclusion: By considering the fact that the currently used accreditation standards have many similar aspects, these systems can be integrated into one new system which small size companies can use relatively easily.

가정전문간호사 교육프로그램 인정기준 및 표준 교육과정 개발 (The Development of Certificates Criteria and Curriculum in Home Healthcare Nurse Specialist Program)

  • Purpose: To make a contribution to raising the quality of nursing and home healthcare services through reviewing the present state of home healthcare nurse specialist training institutions and education programs and creating concrete measures to establish high-quality education courses. Method: International comparative study of accreditation criteria and curriculum in home healthcare nurse specialist program. Result: The Authorization Standards of home healthcare nurse training institutions consists of 8 items, 23 evaluation criteria and 72 evaluation indexes. Proposal to develop a specialist training program: Curriculum. Modify and complement a present homecare nurse education program. Curriculum I. Designate two forms of certification. The first certification has been granted the authority to serve as a manager and open a home healthcare agency to nurses having masters degrees and clinical experience for five years. The second certification is allowed to perform general home healthcare after having completed a short term training course. Currculum 2. To meet increasing demands, granting a certification to perform home healthcare to registered nurses having clinical experience of more than three years. Conclusion: These results can be utilized in the home healthcare educational program for raising the quality of nurses and home healthcare services.

농업환경 분야의 미래유망기술 및 전략기술에 관한 우선순위 재설정 (Priority Re-setting for Future Core & Strategic Technologies in Agricultural and Environmental Science)

  • The objective of this study was to set priority for future core technologies in agricultural and environmental science using analytic hierarchy process(AHP). Forty-six technologies were derived by specialist meetings. Evaluation criteria, for setting the priority were decided as 'technology', 'marketability', and 'public'. Eighteen specialists in agricultural and environmental science answered to the questionnaire for AHP. As the results, 'technology' was decided as the most important evaluation criterion. The 'Feasibility' in 'technology' criterion, 'Market Growth' in 'marketability' criterion, and 'Impact to other industry' in 'public' criterion were decided as sub-criteria in each criterion. The most important technology was 'Risk assessment of toxic heavy metals and establishment of accreditation criteria for environmentally friendly agricultural products.

공학교육인증의 학습성과 평가체계의 사례 연구 (Case Study with Regard to ABEEK Assessment Process for Program Outcomes)

  • 학습성과 평가체계 수립 과정은 일반적으로 다음과 같다. 먼저 각 학습성과의 수행수준에 따른 수행 준거를 설정하고, 교육과정을 통하여 달성되어야 하는 프로그램 학습성과의 달성목표를 수립한 이후에 적절한 평가 도구를 가지고 루브릭에 기초하여 측정 평가를 실행한다. 측정된 결과를 토대로 분석평가한 이후에 프로그램 학습성과 달성을 위해 교육과정 개선을 도모한다. 그리고 나서 적용된 프로그램 개선 사항은 다양한 경로를 통하여 공개된다. 특히 본 논문에서는 광운대학교 전기공학 프로그램의 평가체계 및 적용 사례를 통하여 공학교육인증 대상 학생과 그렇지 않은 학생의 학습성과를 비교 분석해 보았다.

보육시설의 실내공간계획 및 설비와 소방설비의 안전성 관련 기준에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Safety-related Criteria for the Interior Space Planning, Facilities and Fire-fighting Equipment in Child Care Centers)

  • Because of the increasing demand for day care centers, The Korean government has enforced childcare accreditation. The government has created the evaluation certification system for child care facilities. But the system includes variable items, and the physical rules are not sufficient for ensuring security and quality amenities. So this study, through literature search, examined the rules of Child Care Centers in the U.S. and compared them with those in Korea focusing on the provision of security and amenities. The standards found in 4 U.S. states were investigated, and the results are as follows. The rule pertaining to the size of indoor activity spaces in C.C.C. allows the spaces to be smaller in Korea than in the U.S. There is no specific criterion for infants and toddlers in our standard. When comparing the standards of Korea with those of the United States, Korea's standards do not state specific rules about child care facilities such as indoor furniture, finishes and space planning. Additionally, the binding force ensuring compliance with the standards of physical facilities is weak. Thus, the ratings of child care standards for the physical environment should be presented in detail. And if a center does not comply with the criteria, stronger penalties will have to be imposed.
