미성취 영재와 성취 영재 간의 개인적 특성 비교 (Comparison of Personal Characteristics in Gifted Underachievers and Gifted Achievers)

  • This study selected 113 gifted underachievers and 128 gifted achievers from 17 elementary schools to examine gifted children's personal characteristics(self-concept, locus of control, and learning habits) that have an effect on underachievement. Self-concept(general self-concept and academic self-concept), locus of control, and learning habits(endurance, learning strategy, and learning motivation) variables were analyzed to determine gifted underachievers' personal characteristics. (1) Comparison of personal characteristics of gifted achievers with gifted underachievers indicated gifted underachievers had low self-concept, external locus to control, and problems in learning habits. (2) The sub factors of habits of learning motivation and learning strategy had the greatest effect on underachievement of gifted children.

투석실 간호사의 전문직 자아개념, 자기효능감과 직무만족도 (A Study on the Professional Self-concept, Self Efficacy and Job Satisfaction of Hemodialysis Unit Nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore the level of professional self-concept, self-efficacy and job satisfaction among nurses who work at hemodialysis units. Methods: With convenience sampling, 128 nurses working at hemodialysis settings in Chungcheong Province were participated in this study. Data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 14.0 with descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson correlation coefficient. Results: The mean scores were 2.68 for professional self-concept, 3.65 for self efficacy and 3.14 for job satisfaction. There were significant differences in professional self-concept according to age, religion, position and clinical experience. There was statistically significant difference in self-efficacy according to age. Also, there was statistically significant difference in job satisfaction according to age, marital status, hospital type, position, clinical experience, and the number of patients per nurse. Job satisfaction was positively correlated with professional self-concept and self-efficacy. Conclusion: These findings provided that interventions to enhance professional self-concept as well as the strategies to improve self-efficacy are very important.

간호대학생의 의사소통 능력, 간호전문직 자아개념과 임상실습 스트레스와의 관계 (The Relationship of Communication Competence, Professional Self-Concept and Stress in Clinical Practice of Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the relationships among communication competence, professional self-concept, and stress in clinical practice of nursing students. Methods: The study participants were 308 senior year nursing students in D city and K province. Collected data were analyzed using t-tests, analysis of variance, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression with the SPSS Version 20.0. Results: There were significant differences in participants' stress of clinical practice based on their level of satisfaction on clinical practice, self-confidence of nursing and difficulty with relationships in clinical practice. A negative correlation was detected between stress in clinical practice and the professional self-concept of nursing students. Significant predictors of the perceived stress of clinical practice were satisfaction in clinical practice and pride in nursing. These accounted for 18% of the perceived stress of clinical practice in a regression model. Conclusion: The results may serve as basic data in support of the need to the develop effective systematic stress management programs and clinical training courses in order to attenuate the stress experienced during clinical practice of nursing students.

다문화가정과 일반가정 초등학생의 자아개념과 진로발달* (Self-Concept and Career Development of Children from Multi-cultural Families and General Families)

  • 본 연구는 다문화가정과 일반가정 초등학생 180명을 대상으로 이들 두 집단의 자아개념과 진로발달, 성별, 학년별 차이를 분석하고, 다문화가정과 일반가정 초등학생의 자아개념과 진로발달과의 상관관계를 살펴보고자 하였다. 또한 다문화가정과 일반가정 초등학생의 자아개념이 진로발달에 미치는 영향력을 살펴보았다. 연구결과 첫째, 진로발달의 하위영역 중 학업 직업탐색 영역에서 일반가정 초등학생이 다문화가정 초등학생보다 통계적으로 유의미하게 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 다문화가정 초등학생과 일반가정 초등학생의 진로발달과 자아개념의 상관관계를 비교해 보면 두 집단 모두 진로발달과 자아개념은 매우 높은 상관이 있는데 다문화가정 초등학생의 경우 상관 정도가 약간 높았다. 셋째, 다문화가정 초등학생과 일반가정 초등학생의 자아개념이 진로발달에 미치는 영향력을 비교해 본 결과 다문화가정 초등학생과 일반가정 초등학생 모두 학업적 자아개념이 진로발달에 공통적으로 의미 있는 영향을 미치고 있으나 다문화가정 초등학생의 학업적 자아개념이 갖는 영향력이 보다 크게 나타났다.

간호대학생의 혐오민감성, 임상실습스트레스, 회복력이 전문직 자아개념에 미치는 영향 (Factors Influencing Disgust Sensitivity, Clinical Practice Stress, and Resilience in Professional Self-Concept among Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify factors affecting nursing students' professional self-concept. Methods: A survey was conducted from August to October 2022, targeting 110 students in the 3rd and 4th grades at three universities. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-tests, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and multiple linear regression. Results: There were significant differences in professional self-concept according to application motivation (F=5.43, p=.006), school record (F=3.24, p=.043), major satisfaction (t=-6.38, p<.001), desired occupation (F=9.30, p<.001), participant health status (F=4.31, p=.016), character (F=25.29, p<.001), clinical practice satisfaction (t=-5.36, p<.001), and change of thinking about career path after clinical practice (t=2.78, p=.006). Professional self-concept showed significant correlations with clinical practice stress (r=-0.37, p<.001) and resilience (r=0.66, p<.001). The variables affecting nursing students' professional self-concept were resilience (β=.38, p<.001), character (β=.32, p<.001), major satisfaction (β=.28, p<.001), and clinical practice stress (β=-.18, p=.007); the explanatory power was 65%. Conclusion: A professional self-concept enhancement program should be developed to promote the establishment of a positive professional self-concept in nursing students. As a strategy, it should reflect individual personality tendencies, improve major satisfaction and resilience, and reduce clinical practice stress.

간호학생의 학업성취에 관한 연구 -대학 간호학생의 심리적 제특성과 학업성취와의 관계- (Study on Achievement of Nursing Students-Relationship between Psychological Test Characteristics and Academic Achievement of Nursing Students in a Baccalaureate Program-)

  • There is an urgent need to improve the tool predicting success or failure of academic achievement of nursing in Korea so as to identify as early as possible those students who should receive special instruction and to improve screening procedures for admission of nursing. The main purpose of this study is to identify the correlation between the grade point averages of courses learned and their psychological test characteristics in a baccalaureate nursing program. All 240 students, except freshmen, enrolled in Nursing Department of Seoul National University in the spring semester, 1972, participated in this study. All of the subjects completed the psychometric tests such as interest test, personality test and test of self-concept. Total grade point averages, grade point averages of general education subjects, of supporting science courses and of professional education subjects were used as performance criteria of the students. Through the calculation of product-moment correlation coefficients between the test scores and four grade point averages of each class and of total subjects, the following findings and recommendations were obtained. 1. There was so much variation in characteristics of interest test correlated with academic achievement of nursing students in each class. 2. Since the school objectives, curriculum and teaching strategies may affect predictive efficiency of characteristics of students'interest test, interest test must-be utilized in a homogeneous group in order to predict school achievement. 3. Characteristics of interest test positively correlated at significant level with total grade point averages of all subjects were scientific interest-biological, scientific interest-physical, and humanitarian interest. Scientific interest-physics: was the only characteristic positively correlated at significant level with total grade point averages and grade point averages of professional courses. 4. There were various patterns in characteristics of personality test correlated with school achievement of nursing students by class pattern and personality maturation as they progress toward higher classes. 5. A characteristic of personality test, responsibility, is in high positive correlation with academic achievement in the upper division of classes. 6. Responsibility was the sole personality factor positively correlated at significant level with total grade point averages and grade point averages of nursing courses in the total number of students. 7. There were very different correlation coefficients between characteristics of self-concept test and academic achievement according to the type of each class and type of courses they learned. 8. Characteristics of self-concept test positively correlated at significant level with total grade point averages and grade point averages of nursing courses of all students were physical self and row variability. Those who have positive concept on their own physical status and who are deficient in self-concept were higher in total grade point averages and grade point averages of professional courses than other students. 9. Scores of professional courses offered in freshmen and sophomore classes were in positive correlation with limited number of characteristics of psychological tests. In pursuit of a tool predicting successful academic achievement of nursing students, their G.P.A. during the junior and senior year of nursing will serve as the more reasonable criteria. 10. Junior students of this school were in higher positive correlation with many psychological factors than other classes.

성호학(星湖學)의 개념(槪念) 정립(定立)을 위한 시론(試論) - 적용의 가능성과 쟁점의 제시를 중심으로 - (An Essay for the Concept Formulation of Sungho-Studies - Focused on the Possibility of Application and the Presentation of Issues)

  • 이 글은 그간 별다른 문제의식 없이 사용해 왔던 '성호학(星湖學)'의 개념을 반성적으로 살펴보고자 한 것이다. 일반적으로 '성호학(星湖學)'을 성호의 학문세계 전반을 의미하는 용어로 사용하고 있지만, 현재 사용하고 있는 '성호학(星湖學)'이라는 용어가 지칭하는 구체적인 실체가 무엇인지 분명하지 않다. '성호학(星湖學)'이라는 용어의 개념을 규정하기 위해서는 성호의 학문세계 전반을 관류하는 특성을 찾아야 하며, 그 특성은 성호만의 독창적인 것이어야 한다. 그렇지만 이 작업은 성호의 학문세계가 지니는 광대함과 다양함 때문에 쉽지 않다. 성호 학문세계의 광대함과 다양함에서 오는 '성호학(星湖學)' 개념 규정의 어려움은 '성호학(星湖學)'의 개념을 성호 학문세계의 내용이 아니라 성호가 그 자신의 학문세계를 만들어 나간 학문의 방법에서 찾게 만든다. 성호의 학문 태도와 방법은 '회의(懷疑)와 자득(自得)'으로 규정할 수 있는데, '회의(懷疑)와 자득(自得)'을 근거로 '성호학(星湖學)'을 개념화 한다면 '성호학(星湖學)'은 "회의(懷疑)와 자득(自得)의 학문 태도와 방법을 통해 이룩된 성호의 학문세계 전반으로, 그 자신의 현실적 처지에 기반하여 대상에 대해 구체적이고 실질적인 인식을 드러낸 것"이라고 할 수 있을 듯하다. 이 개념이 성호나 성호의 문하 제자들이 이룩했던 학문세계에 대해 일정한 기준에 따른 통합적이고 체계적인 해명을 할 수 있다는 장점이 있기는 하지만, 이 개념 역시 다양성 한계를 지닌다. 따라서 이 글에서 제시한 내용은 '성호학(星湖學)'의 명확한 개념이 아니라 명확한 개념을 정립(定立)하기 위한 시론(試論)의 하나라고 보아야 할 것이다.

극복력(resilience) 개념 개발 - 암 환자를 중심으로 - (Concept Development of Resilience - Focusing on Cancer Patients -)

  • Purpose: This study was done to develop the concept of resilience focusing on cancer patients in Korea. Methods: This study was done in three phases sugggested in the Hybrid Model; theoretical phase, fieldwork phase, and analytical phase. Eight cancer patients participated in the fieldwork phase. Results: The antecedent of the concept of resilience was the crisis or adversity that threatens life or changes the quality of life. The attributes of resilience were psychosocial, relational, situational confrontation and faith (philosophical) characteristics. 1) Psychosocial : self worth, self efficacy, self-confidence, independence, optimistic & positive mind, strong will, and responsibility, 2) Relational : relation-oriented, intimacy, and social interests, 3) Situational confrontation : appraisal of stress situation, problem-oriented coping, and ability to applicate a new situation, 4) Faith (philosophical) : the belief that self-knowledge is valuable, finding positive meanings, religious belief, a belief that lives are worthwhile and meaningful, and a balanced perspective of one's life. The consequences of resilience were acceptance of adversity, getting through one's dread and apprehensions, and gratitude & sharing life. The contributing factor of resilience is positive family support. Conclusion: The concept of resilience is necessary in order to manage cancer patients for promoting quality of life so that its application may have a positive impact on the patients care.

간호대학생의 생명의료 및 인공지능 윤리의식, 윤리적 가치관, 전문직 자아개념이 윤리적 의사결정 자신감에 미치는 영향 (The impact of nursing students' biomedical and artificial intelligence ethical awareness, ethical values, and professional self-concept on their ethical decision-making confidence)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between nursing students' biomedical and artificial intelligence (AI) ethical awareness, ethical values, professional self-concept, and ethical decision-making confidence, and to then identify factors that can influence their ethical decision-making confidence. Methods: This study employed a descriptive research method and was conducted from June 8 to 12, 2023, with 204 students from three nursing colleges in Korea. The collected data were analyzed by frequency and percentage, independent t-test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression using IBM SPSS 23.0. Results: The results of the multiple regression analysis showed that the regression model was significant (F=18.88, p<.001) and that professional self-concept (β=.46, p<.001), ethics education (β=.23, p<.001), AI ethical awareness (β=.16, p=.020), and relativistic ethical values (β=.14, p=.035) explained 34.6% of the nursing students' ethical decision-making confidence. Conclusion: It is necessary to include professional self-concept, AI ethical awareness, and ethical values contents when constructing the curriculums of educational programs in order to improve nursing students' ethical decision-making confidence.

수학 학업성취도에 대한 내·외적요인의 관계 및 영향에 대한 종단연구 -중·고등학생을 대상으로- (Longitudinal Study on the Relationship and Effects of Internal and External Factors on Mathematics Academic Achievement -For Middle and High School Students-)

  • 수학 학업성취도에 영향을 미치는 요인들은 매우 다양하며, 그 요인들이 미치는 영향 또한 복합적으로 일어난다. 수학 학업성취도에 영향을 미치는 요인들은 끊임없이 변화하고 발전하기 때문에 학습자들의 성장을 예측하고 분석하는 종단연구가 필요하다. 본 연구는 서울교육종단연구의 2013년도(중학교 1학년)부터 2017년(고등학교 2학년)까지의 종단자료를 활용하여 내적요인(자아개념, 자기통제, 삶의 만족에 대한 자기평가), 외적요인(학교풍토, 자녀에 대한 보호자의 관심, 보호자의 학습조력)의 변화패턴을 알아보고 내·외적요인이 수학 학업성취도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 살펴보았다. 수학 학업성취도를 분석한 결과, 중학교 1학년부터 중학교 2학년까지의 수학 학업성취도는 변화가 없는 것으로 나타났으며, 중학교 2학년부터 고등학교 1학년까지는 꾸준히 증가하다가 고등학교 2학년 때는 소폭 하향하는 것으로 나타났다. 내적요인인 자아개념과 자기통제는 중학교 1학년부터 중학교 2학년까지는 소폭 떨어지다가 고등학교 1학년까지는 소폭 증가하고 고등학교 2학년에는 소폭 떨어지는 것으로 나타났으며, 삶의 만족에 대한 자기평가는 중학교 1학년부터 고등학교 2학년까지의 기간 동안 소폭 떨어지는 것으로 나타났다. 외적요인 중 학교풍토는 중학교 1학년부터 중학교 2학년까지는 소폭 떨어지는 것으로 나타났으며, 고등학교 1학년까지는 증가하다가 고등학교 2학년에는 그 값이 유지되는 것으로 나타났다. 자녀에 대한 보호자의 관심은 중학교 1학년 때의 값이 고등학교 2학년까지 유지되는 것으로 나타났으며, 보호자의 학습조력은 중학교 1학년부터 지속적으로 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 수학 학업성취도에 대한 영향을 알아보기 위해 임의 기울기 모델(Random Slope Model)을 시행한 결과 내적요인인 자아개념 및 자기통제, 그리고 외적요인인 학교풍토가 수학 학업성취도의 변화에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
