A microscopic mass balance approach has been developed to estimate the extent and rate of absorption for camier-mediated comounds. For the case competitive inhibition in the presence of an inhibitor which shares the same camier, the fraction dose absorbed (F) and absorption rate constant ($K_a$) of a drug can be calculated from its concentration profile in the intestinal lumen. Absorption parameters obtained by single-pass perfusion experiments were used in the simultaion of the absorption of some aminopenicilins. Predicted fractions dose absorbed and absorption rate constants of ampicilin and amoxicilin were significantly reduced in the presence of a 6-times higher molar dose of cyclacilin. The drug-drug interactions on the competitive absroption of camier-mediated compounds were determined with regard to F and $K_a$. Predicted decreases in F for some aminopenicilins corrlated well with decrease in the urinary recovery in humans reported in the literature. Predicted decrease in the mean absorption rate constant ($\barK_a$) explain the delays in the time of peak plasma concentration ($T_{max}$) reported in humans.

The objective of this study is to produce the $CO_2$ (carbon dioxide) absorption map using KOMPSAT-2 imagery. For estimating the amount of $CO_2$ absorption, the stand biomass of forest was estimated with the total weight, which was the sum of individual tree weight. Individual tree volumes could be estimated by the crown width extracted from KOMPSAT-2 imagery. In particular, the carbon conversion index and the ratio of the $CO_2$ molecular weight to the C atomic weight, reported in the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) guideline, was used to convert the stand biomass into the amount of $CO_2$ absorption. Thereafter, the KOMPSAT-2 imagery was classified with the SBC (segment based classification) method in order to quantify $CO_2$ absorption by tree species. As a result, the map of $CO_2$ absorption was produced and the amount of $CO_2$ absorption was estimated by tree species.
This research identifies radon gas absorption mechanism by adsorption materials, replacing gypsum board with radon emissions, the density and absorption rates of magnesium were carried out using vermiculite, anthracite, powdered active carbon, bentonite, illite, diatomite as a basic study on the fire resistance type of radon Gas reduction type with absorption and decomposition. As a result of the experiment, diatomite showed the lowest density, and the highestt value was the highest. For the absorption rate, bentonite showed the highest absorption rate, and the anthracite showed the lowest absorption rate.
The purpose of this paper is to examine sound absorption characteristics of sintered Al(aluminum) plate. Comparison between experiment and theoretical analysts by using empirical formula are made. Based on comparison. it is found that Voronina model gives more reasonable explanation for sound absorption characteristics of sintered Al plates. Effect of air gap with varying the thickness of plates are also investigated, which concludes that the air gap generally increase absorption but for too thick thickness of Al plates. Al plates with air gap shows 0.85∼0.9 of NRC(Noise Reduction Coefficient) measured in reverberation room. which is comparable to glass wool. Comparison between normal and random Incident absorption shows that random incident absorption is higher than normal incident absorption.
A new absorption material, cellulose sponge soaked in cement, was made for anechoic water tank and its acoustical properties were investigated by pulse methods. The sound absorption coefficient a (dB/cm) of the material was obtained in the frequency range of 40~120kHz from the echo reduction ER (dB) and insertion loss IL (dB) data. The result was averagely 1.8dB/cm higher than the sound absorption coefficient a (dB/cm) of cork-filled rubber which is one of the most effective absorption materials. The wedge (1.2~5.0cm long) type absorption tiles were made with this new material. The echo reduction ER (dB) of the absorption tile with 5.0cm wedge measured in water tank was higher than 20dB in the experimental frequency range.
Many of research on noise reduction techniques have been progressed for the improvement of noise environment in subway train. There are many way to noise reduction techniques in the tunnel, but it has been reported as an alternative to attach sound absorption material on tunnel wall. For this reason sound absorption material has been studied for application of tunnel. The objective of this study is to investigate design parameters on a Helmholtz resonator with built-in sound absorption panel for the reduction of the tunnel noise in the subway. Sound absorption panel composed of the perforated panel with sub-millimeter holes and the airspace backed a rigid wall or between panels. The experiment is performed through the change of number of perforated panel, cross sectional area and the depth of airspace of the sound absorption panel under the normal incidence sound.
Control algorithms for the absorption air conditioning system may be developed by suing dynamic models of the system. The simplified effective dynamic models, which can predict the dynamic behaviors of the system, may help the development of effective control algorithms for the system. In this study, a dynamic simulation program for the absorption air conditioning system was developed. Dynamic models for an absorption chiller, a cooling tower, an air handling unit, a boiler, a three way valve, a controller, and a duct were developed and programed. Control algorithms for the absorption chiller, the cooling tower, and the air handling unit were selected, and analyzed to show the effectiveness of dynamic models. From the simulation results, it may be concluded that this simulation program may be effectively used for the development of optimal control algorithms of the absorption air conditioning system.
This study aims to investigate the sound absorption ability of Acanthopanax senticosus wastes as an eco-friendly sound-absorbing material. The sound absorption coefficient was examined with different heights of A. senticosus wastes filling (40, 60, 80, and 100 mm) in impedance tubes. The sound absorption peaks shifted to a lower frequency as the height of A. senticosus wastes inside the tubes increased. The sound absorption ability at filling heights of 80 and 100 mm was obtained as 0.3M and 0.5M grades, respectively, based on KS F 3503. The results suggest that A. senticosus wastes exhibit good sound absorption ability and can therefore be used as an efficient, eco-friendly sound-absorbing material.
The purpose of this study is to help to prevent daily noises by measuring the noise absorption coefficient of the non-woven fabrics and wallpapers which are commonly used in lining and noise absorption coefficient of lining curtain. Seven types of fiber materials for the interior decoration, one non-woven fabric for the wallpaper linings, and two types of textiles for curtain linings are used as the experimental materials in this study. The noise absorption coefficient of the noise absorbents were measured by using impedance tube. And the thermal transmittance were measured by using thermal transmittance tester. The results of this study are as follows; Observing the noise absorption efficiency of each experimental materials, the combination of fiber materials and linings, the noise absorption efficiency of cotton, polyester and silk were similar and for the experimental materials of flax, rayon, acrylic and nylon were resulted the similar noise absorption efficiency. The result of combination of fiber material and black fabric was highest among the combined linings. For the combination of fiber material and non-woven fabric, double layers of non-woven fabric resulted slightly higher noise absorption coefficient result than single layer of non-woven fabric. The thermal transmittance and the sound absorbents of experimental materials were affected by the thickness, density and layer of air of the experimental materials.
Accidents caused by water absorption in water-cooled generator stator windings often occur all over the world. The absorption into the insulator of the coolant, which is used to cool down the heat generated by stator windings during operation, leads to the deterioration of dielectric strength, and insulation breakdown. An insulation breakdown may cause not only an enormous economic loss but also a very serious grid accident that would compromise stable supply of electric power. More than 50 % of domestic generators have been in operation for more than 15 years, and water absorption tests performed on 50 water-cooled generator stator windings during a five-year planned preventive maintenance period beginning in 2006 identified water absorption problems in 10 of them, all of which required repair. Because the existing water absorption test detects this problem by utilizing stochastic methods after measuring the capacitances at the final positions of insulation breakdown, its accuracy is limited. This study demonstrates that water absorption can be more accurately diagnosed by utilizing method along with a more precise one.
