We can easily prospect the happening of serial killing crime at Korea in the future, at least it exists that home and social disorganization cause by divorcing and hasty economic development. There will be a reserve criminal who have distorted personality effected by undesirable surrounding, therefore he may become a serial murder. This study examines criminal psychological analysis of On Bo Hwan's serial murder case in 1994 at Korea, according to criminal records and press report and his statement and confession. This paper also show his domestic background and growing atmosphere and human relation between his parents.

  • Malocclusion is a serious complication of open reduction surgery for facial fractures. It is often caused by the lack of adequate consideration for the occlusal relationship before the trauma and intermaxillary fixation during the operation. This is a case report of postoperative malocclusion that occurred in a patient with a midfacial complex fracture.

  • Although alveolar echinococcosis (AE) can cause a serious disease with high mortality and morbidity similar to malign neoplasms. A 62-year-old woman admitted to a hospital located in Sivas, Turkey, with the complaints of fatigue and right upper abdominal pain. On contrast abdominal CT, a $54{\times}70{\times}45$ mm sized cystic lesion was detected in the left lobe of the liver that was seen to extend to the posterior mediastinum and invade the diaphragm, esophagus, and pericardium. The cystic lesion was seen to be occluding the inferior vena cava and left hepatic vein at the level where the hepatic veins poured into the inferior vena cava. Bilateral pleural effusion was also detected. We discussed this secondary Budd-Chiari Syndrome (BCS) case, resulting from the AE occlusion of the left hepatic vein and inferior vena cava, in light of the information in literature.

  • The pulmonary sequestration is a rare congenital malformation of the lung, concerning about the abnormal feeding systemic artery, may happen a serious complication of bleeding during operation if not recognized before operation. We experienced a case of bilateral intralobar pulmonary sequestration preoperatively confirmed by aortogram. An Aortogram demonstrated a anomalous systemic artery arising from thoracic aorta just above the diaphragm. The artery bifurcated and supplied areas of both right and left lower lobes. On the operative field, left lower lobectomy was done with devision and ligation of left branch of anomalous artery and triple ligation of remained branch of anomalous artery was done. Postoperative course was uneventful. She was discharged on postoperative seventeenth day.

  • This is a report of a case in which a left atrial myxoma was successfully removed by total cardiopulmonary bypass with total hemodilution and moderate hypothermia. The patient was a 17 old girl with mitral valvular symptoms that occured suddenly three months prior to operation. After the onset of symptoms. it was progressively aggravated to serious general condition. The preoperative diagnosis of left atrial tumor was made from echocardiography. and the tumor was confirmed as myxoma by the histopathological examination of the tumor tissue removed during operation. The myxoma was unusually originated from posterior wall of the left atrium. which was located between drainage orifices of right and left pulmonary veins, The tumor developed in the left atrial cavity and one of the polypoid processes of the myxoma was prolapsed into the the left ventricle through the mitral orifice. Following operation. there was no evidence for peripheral vascular embolism, and all valvular symptoms disappeared. The postoperative course was uneventful.

  • General joystick using spring only has a vibration when operaor drops the joystick. If it is used as input of motorized wheelchair, its system have a serious problem which operator fall into dangerous situation. Therefore, In this paper proposed non-vibration joustick which control a motorized wheelchair. Non-vibration joystick was designed which return to origin point when operator drops joystick by mistake. Reflected force of non- vibration joystick is defined as addition displacement and variation rate. And each parameter has elasticity of spring and viscosity of DC servo motor. Through simulation for virtual environment, we found two coefficient to return origin point smoothly when a disabled person drops the joystick. In case of larger elastic coefficient of spring than viscous coefficient, we confirmed the result has the equal vibration of general joystick (under-damping). In opposite case, joystick returned to origin point with excessive force. As a application of non-vibration joystick, we experimented wall-following controlling. In this trial, we corroborated that joystick follows smoothly around the corridors.

  • The maxillary floor sinus augmentation is considered as a safe and predictable procedure to ensure optimal implant placement. However, this procedure may have a variety of intra-surgical or post-surgical complications, also the major drawback of the procedure is deemed maxillary sinusitis. This case is a very unusual delayed occurrence of acute maxillary sinusitis after simultaneous maxillary sinus augmentation, using xenograft and implant placement. This report describes a serious complication of the maxillary sinus augmentation.

  • Aorto-gastric fistulas are relatively rare. Fistula formation between the aorta and the gartrointestinal tract is a serious condition that results in severe hemorrhage with a very high mortality rate, We present an unusual case of successful surgical treatment in Chonnam national university hospital ; of a patient with a aortogastric fistula into thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysm.

  • Turner syndrome, also described as 45, X, may present with most serious cardiovascular anomalies including risk of aortic dissection and rupture. In emergency situation, management for aortic dissection with complicated anatomy accompanying vascular anomaly is challenging. Here, we report a rare case of ruptured type B aortic dissection with aberrant subclavian artery and partial anomalous pulmonary venous connection in a Turner syndrome. Through right carotid-subclavian artery bypass and thoracic endovascular aortic repair, successful hybrid endovascular management correlated with a favorable result in this emergency situation.

  • Although traumatic posterior fossa subdural hematoma (TPFSH) in neonates immediately after birth is extremely rare, it can pose a serious clinical problem in the neonatal period. Here, the author presents the case of a 3-day-old male infant who underwent emergency surgical treatment of TPFSH with a favorable outcome. Debate continues about surgical versus conservative treatment of TPFSH in neonates. The clinical symptoms, extent of hemorrhage, early diagnosis, and prompt and appropriate surgery are the most important factors in the treatment of TPFSH in neonates. Therefore, neurosurgeons should establish treatment strategies based on the newborn's clinical condition, the size and location of the TPFSH, and the potential of the hematoma to cause long-term complications.
