This paper introduces the method to develop two main types of the fuzzy OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) models via triangular membership function for measuring uncertainty. The fuzzy OEE includes model type 1 and model type 2. The model type 1 is used when the theoretical machine speed only reflects the time loss whereas model type 2 is used when the actual machine speed reflects both time and speed loss. Model type 2 has shown to perform a lower availability rate and a higher performance rate compared to model type 1. In addition, the fuzzy UPH (Unit Per Hour) which is derived from using the fuzzy OEE is presented to satisfy demand uncertainty. The fuzzy UPH can easily measure the fuzzy tact time and cycle time by reciprocating itself. Finally, this study demonstrates the fuzzy OEE models using IVIFS (Interval-Valued Intuitionistic Fuzzy Set) based on the characterization via membership function, non-membership function and hesitant function. For the purpose of analyzing the fuzzy system OEE, the OEE for each machine of plant structure is considered triangular interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy number. Regardless of plant structure, the validity degree of fuzzy membership function of system OEE decreases when the number of machine with worst value of the validity degree increases. Corresponding examples are presented in this paper for practitioner to understand the applicability and practicability of the proposed fuzzy OEE methods.
In the model selection problem, the main objective is to choose the true model from a manageable set of candidate models. An information criterion gauges the validity of a statistical model and judges the balance between goodness-of-fit and parsimony; "how well observed values ran approximate to the true values" and "how much information can be explained by the lower dimensional model" In this study, we introduce some information criteria modified from the Akaike Information Criterion (AIC) and the Bayesian Information Criterion(BIC). The information criteria considered in this study are compared via simulation studies and real application.

The predictive results between a dynamic food-chain model (DYNACON) and an equilibrium model (NRC model) were compared to show the physical validity of DYNACON. Although the mathematical formulations and transport processes of radionuclides in the environment are different between two models, the comparative study shows good agreement for deposition events that occur during the growing season of plants.
In this study, the time delay model were simulated using the well-known AR model. Frequency response of the time delay model can be obtained by mapping AR model to JTC model in the time domain. That is, from the few measurement data in JTC model, the channel frequency response can be obtained by the estimation of AR model parameters. From this channel frequency response, the time delay model can be obtained using Fourier transformation. To prove the validity of the suggested method, three models of JTC were shown and analyzed.
The study of the validity test on the self-monitoring scale for nurses In this study, both the literary survey as well as empirical research has been executed to test the validity of the scales that measure the construct of the self-monitoring scale. The self-monitoring scale could not be classified into five factors as Snyder suggested. Many other scholars (Briggs, Cheek and Buss, 1980) suggested 3 different classifications which was accepted by Snyder and Gangestad (1986). John, Cheek and Klohnen(1996) claimed a two-factor classification. As has been discussed, factor analysis is used to prove convergent validity within the factor and discriminant validity between the factors. However, depending on the researchers, many variations in classification of the factors were found and a lack of content and discriminant validity were found in the previous research findings. It is also important to note that Snyder's self-monitoring scale did not factor-load at over. 30 for all 25 items, regardless of how many factors could be classified. According to findings of this study, the self-monitoring scale neither classified as five, three or two factors nor factor loaded as hypothesized. It is also clear that Snyder's self-monitoring scale lacks convergent validity as the sub-factors of the scale failed to prove its uni-dimensionality. The A self-monit oring scale not only fail to overcome the problems of Snyder's self-monitori ng scale but even lost the attractiveness of the self-monitoring scale. In this study it was also found that the A self-monitoring scale was not classified in either in a two or three-factor classification as hypothesized. It is, of course, not desirable to use any scale that lacks convergent and discriminant validity even though it has been widely used and has held a great deal of influence on the field of social psychology. To overcome the shortcomings of Snyder's self-monitoring scale, Lennox and Wolfe(1984) suggested 13 items. This study was dedicated to test the validity and reliability of the scale, in which we found that the data presented in validity as the two factors were class ified and loaded as expected. Reliability was also proven by checking Cronbach's α for each factor and for the total items. In addition, a confirmatory factor analysis was executed for the 13 items using LISREL 8.12 program to confirm convergent validity in a two-factor classification. The model was fitting and sound : however, the self-monitoring scale was unfitted and not validated. Thus, it is recommended to use not the original nor the abbreviated self-monitoring scale but the 13 items in future studies. It should also be noted that items 7 and 13 should be removed to obtain better uni-dimensionality for the 13 items. These items loaded at over. 30, too high for the two factors in the test results of Factor analysis. In addition, it is necessary to double-check the cause of two-hold loading at over .30 for the two factors. It could be a problem caused by data or by the scale itself. Therefore, additional studies should follow to better clarify this matter.

The aim of the present study is to evaluate the validity of orthodontic measurements including tooth width, Bolton ratio, overjet and overbite on the digital dental models. Dental models of the subjects aged 12 to 18 were obtained in 3 different forms, which were conventional stone model, digital model created with Freedom HD model scanner, and digital model produced with CS3600 intraoral scanner. After measurements were made on the models, reliability and reproducibility of the measurements were evaluated by using intraclass correlation coefficient, while validity was assessed with paired t-test. As a result, significant reliability and reproducibility were verified, with intraclass correlation coefficient exceeding 0.750 in all groups. Measurements of the model scanned group showed an adequate validity in overall and anterior Bolton ratio, overjet, and overbite. Intraoral scanned models showed an adequate validity in anterior Bolton ratio, and overjet. Measurement on intraoral scanned digital models can be considered as an alternative for young children who have difficulty in taking impression. Furthermore, careful considerations on measurement error should be made in clinical situations.
This study develops and validates an objective scale to measure newspaper use at home by elementary school students and parents. We developed a preliminary scale of 59 items through the review of literature on newspaper use and mediation as well as the examination of content validity by education experts. Collected data were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 21.0 programs. A total of 42 items were supported by 703 parents with students in grades 1-6 using exploratory factor analysis. The model included 3 categories and 9 sub-factors: instruction (modeling, restriction, and text instruction), activities (play activity, conversation, online mediation, and scrap activity), and belief (academic achievement and information acquisition). Confirmatory factor analysis confirmed and validated the model fit; in addition, convergent validity, and discriminant validity, and cross validity was confirmed through correlation analysis by gender comparison and grade comparison. We also verified the validity of this scale through correlation analysis based on Yu and Jung (2012)'s newspaper mediation variables and scale in regards to children's motivation for using newspapers. Finally, internal consistency reliability and half reliability were also confirmed. In conclusion, the suitability and stability of home newspaper utilization scale for elementary students (HNUS-E) were confirmed. This scale provides parents and educators with ideas for the development of the children's literacy, cognitive, and affective domains that can be effectively used in research on newspaper use for school-aged children.
Purpose - This study aims to develop and empirically test a multi-dimensional service convenience scale with the dimensions and measurement items of service convenience perceived by Korean consumers in retail contexts. Research design, data, and methodology - The study adopts the framework suggested by Berry et al. (2002) and conceptualizes service convenience as a second-order reflective construct comprising 31 items. Three department store chains (Hyundai, Lotte, and Shinsegae) and three discount store chains (E-mart, Homeplus, and Lotte Mart) were involved 510 valid responses were used for the empirical testing. Results - The measurement model is acceptable for internal consistency, convergent validity, and discriminant validity. Further, the structural model results show that service convenience is positively related to satisfaction. Results of the rival model comparison indicate that the proposed second-order factor model provides a better fit to the data than both the five-factor and the one-factor model. Conclusions - The multi-dimensional, second-order conceptualization of service convenience is robustly supported. This study provides psychometrically valid scales to measure service convenience in retail contexts as conceptualized by Berry et al. (2002).

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine validity and reliability of Webel and colleagues'HIV Self-Management Scale when used with a Korean sample. Methods: The original 20-item HIV Self-Management Scale was translated into Korean using translation and back-translation. Nine HIV nurse experts tested content validity. Principal component analysis (PCA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) of data from 203 patients was used to test construct validity. Concurrent validity was evaluated using correlation with patients'self-rating as a "mart patient"measured using a visual analogue scale. Internal consistency was tested by Cronbach' alpha coefficients. Results: All items were rated as having satisfactory content validity. Based on PCA and consideration of conceptual meaning, a three-factor solution was selected, explaining 48.76% of the variance. CFA demonstrated the adequacy of the three-domain structure of the construct HIV self-management: daily self-management health practices, social support and HIV self-management, and chronic nature of HIV self-management. Goodness-of-fit indices showed an acceptable fit overall with the full model (${\chi}^2/df_{(164)}=1.66$, RMSEA=0.06, SRMR=0.05, TLI=0.91, and CFI=0.92). The Korean version of the HIV Self-Management Scale (KHSMS) was significantly correlated with patients'self-rated smart patient (r=.41). The subscale Cronbach' alpha coefficients ranged from .78 to .81; alpha for the total scale was .89. Conclusion: The KHSMS provides a valid and reliable measure of self-management in Korean patients with HIV. Continued psychometric testing is recommended to provide further evidence of validity with this population.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate the validity and reliability of the Korean version of the Clinical Teaching Behavior Inventory (CTBI). Methods: The English CTBI-23 was translated into Korean with forward and backward translation. Survey data were collected from 280 nurses' preceptors at five acute-care hospitals in Korea. Content validity, construct validity, and criterion-related validity were evaluated. Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ was used to assess reliability. SPSS 24.0 and AMOS 22.0 software was used for data analysis. Results: The CTBI Korean version consists of 22 items in six domains, including being committed to teaching, building a learning atmosphere, using appropriate teaching strategies, guiding inter-professional communication, providing feedback and evaluation, and showing concern and support. One of the items in the CTBI was excluded with a standardized factor loading of less than .05. The confirmatory factor analysis supported good fit and reliable scores for the Korean version of the CTBI model. A six-factor structure was validated ($x^2=366.30$, p<.001, CMIN/df=2.0, RMSEA=.06, RMR=.03, SRMR=.05, GFI=.90, IFI=.94, TLI=.92, CFI=.94). The criterion validity of the core competency evaluation tool for preceptors was .77 (p<.001). The Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ for the overall scale was .93, and the six subscales ranged from .72 to .85. Conclusion: The Korean version CTBI-22 is a valid and reliable instrument for identifying the clinical teaching behaviors of preceptors in Korea. The CTBI-22 also could be used as a guide for the effective teaching behavior of preceptors, which can help new nurses adapt to the practicalities of nursing.
