하이브리드 카메라를 이용한 고해상도 비디오 합성 (High Resolution Video Synthesis with a Hybrid Camera)

  • 최근들어 디지털 영상 기술의 발달로 많은 영화들이 디지털화되어 제작되고 있고, 이러한 디지털 영화를 직접 상영할 수 있는 디지털 시네마로의 전환이 빠르게 진행되고 있다. 하지만 아직 까지 디지털시네마에서 요구하는 2K이상의 고해상도를 지원하는 촬영 장비는 매우 고가이기 때문에 디지털 영화의 제작에 걸림돌이 되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 저가의 일반 비디오 카메라와 디지털 스틸 카메라의 조합을 통해 해결할 수 있는 방법을 제시한다. 즉, 비디오 카메라로 촬영한 저해상도 비디오 영상과 동시에 일정한 간격의 키프레임마다 함께 촬영된 고해상도 이미지들을 이용하여 새로운 고해상도 비디오 영상을 합성하는 것이다. 비디오 합성은 프레임 단위로 이루어지는데, 먼저 현재 프레임의 픽셀마다 대응되는 점의 위치를 앞뒤 키프레임들에서 찾는다. 대응점은 현재 프레임과 키프레임 간의 광흐름(optical flow)을 계산하여 찾게 된다. 대응점이 구해지면 키프레임의 고해상도 이미지에서 대응점 위치의 이미지 블럭을 가져와 현재 프레임의 해당 픽셀 위치에 복사한다. 만일 키프레임에서의 대응점을 찾을 수 없는 경우에는 현재 저해상도 비디오 프레임의 확대 이미지를 빈곳 채움에 이용하여 이미지를 완성한다. 본 연구의 결과는 고해상도 비디오 합성 외에 비사실적 비디오 렌더링 등과 같은 영상 효과의 구현에도 적용할 수 있다.

근골격계 초음파검사에 사용되는 표재성 검사용 젤 패드 물질의 유용성 평가 (Usability Evaluation of Gel Pad Materials for Superficial Structures used in Musculoskeletal Ultrasonography)

  • 손가락과 발가락 같은 작은 관절은 초음파 이미징 방식을 사용하여 평가하기에 작고 복잡한 구조물이지만, 최근 초음파 진단장치의 발전과 고주파 탐촉자의 개발로 정상적인 해부학과 다양한 병리 상태를 평가하는 데 근골격계 초음파검사가 유용한 도구로 사용되고 있다. 그러나 의료기관에 보편적으로 보급되어있는 접촉면 6 cm 길이의 선형 탐촉자(Linear Probe : 12-5 MHz)는 기존의 수용성 액체 초음파 젤 사용만으로는 인체의 굴곡진 부위에서 밀착이 되지 않아 영상 소실이 발생하는 검사의 한계가 지적되었고, 이러한 단점을 해결하기 위해 젤 패드의 사용이 증가 되고 있다. 현재 상용화된 워터젤 패드(Watergel Pad)는 사용 편리성이 뛰어나지만, 1회용 소모성 의료용품으로 재 반복 사용이 금지되고 비싼 단점이 있다. 본 연구에서 상용화된 워터젤 패드 사용으로 인한 경제적 부담을 해결하기 위해 저 비용의 수용성 식품 증점제 분말을 탐색하여 원형의 상태를 잘 갖춘 수분을 많이 함유한 탄력성 있는 젤 패드를 제작하였다. 초음파 정도관리용 팬텀 (N-365 Multipurpose Phantom) 영상 평가 결과 카파-카라기난 젤 패드, 아이오타-카라기난 젤 패드, 한천 젤 패드에서 허상 없이 모두 적합 기준안을 만족하였고 식품 증점제 분말을 구입하는 가격은 기존의 상용화된 워터젤 패드에 비해 약 38배 저렴하였다. 이러한 결과로 상용화된 고가의 1회용 워터젤 패드 대신 카파-카라기난, 아이오타-카라기난, 한천 분말을 이용하여 커버 없이 고형화된 탄력성 있는 젤 패드를 만들어 사용한다면 활용성, 편리성, 응용성 등이 우수한 초음파 전달매질의 대체물질로 가능성을 제안한다.

  • Detecting of the object in image processing is substantial but it depends on the object itself and the environment. An object can be detected either by its shape or color. Color is an essential for pattern recognition and computer vision. It is an attractive feature because of its simplicity and its robustness to scale changes and to detect the positions of the object. Generally, color of an object depends on its characteristics of the perceiving eye and brain. Physically, objects can be said to have color because of the light leaving their surfaces. Here, we conducted experiment in the aquarium fish tank. Different color of fish robots are mimic the natural swim of fish. Unfortunately, in the underwater medium, the colors are modified by attenuation and difficult to identify the color for moving objects. We consider the fish motion as a moving object and coordinates are found at every instinct of the aquarium to detect the position of the fish robot using OpenCV color detection. In this paper, we proposed to identify the position of the fish robot by their color and use the position data to control the fish robot gathering in one point in the fish tank through serial communication using RF module. It was verified by the performance test of detecting the position of the fish robot.

  • In recent years, Anodic aluminum oxide(AAO) has become popular and attractive materials. It can be easily fabricated and self-organized pore structures. It has been widely used as a biosensor membrane, photonic crystal for optical circuit and template for nanotube growth etc. In previous papers, the theory was developed that AAO shows anisotropic optical properties, since it has anisotropic structure with numerous cylindrical pores. It gives rise to the anisotropy of the refractive index called as birefringence. It can be used as conventional polarizing elements with high efficiency and low cost. Therefore, we would like to compare the theory and experimental results in this study. One method which can measure effective refractive index of thin film is the prism coupling technique. It can give accurate results fast and simply. Furthermore, we can also measure separately the refractive index with different polarization using polarization of the laser (TE mode and TM mode). We calculated the effective refractive index with effective medium approximations (EMAs) by pore size in the SEM image. EMAs are physical models that describe the macroscopic system as the homogeneous and typical method of all mean field theories.

카메라 트래핑을 이용한 육상포유류 모니터링 효율성 평가 (Monitoring Efficiency Evaluation of Camera Trapping in Terrestrial Mammals)

  • The aim of this study was to evaluate the monitoring efficiency of camera trapping in wild animals and to determine ways to increase its utilization. Nineteen sensor cameras were installed in Sobaeksan National Park from October 2012 to September 2013. During the study period, a total of 1045 terrestrial mammal photos were secured and 15 species habitats were identified. Shooting frequency was higher for medium and large mammals, especially full images of carnivores accounted for approximately 83%. A comparison of track surveys revealed that camera trapping was highly efficient and helped in capturing real image of species. The supply of lure and bait stimulates the sense of smell in carnivores, which further enhances the capturing of images by camera trapping. The results of this study provide data on the ecological characteristics of mammals, which can aid in determining habitat use by these animals, and thereby facilitate prevention of crop damage by wildlife.

증기양생 콘크리트 표면상태에 대한 박리제의 영향 사례연구 (A Case Study for Influence of Form-oil on Surface Condition of Steam-cured Concrete)

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the influence of form-oil on steam-cured concrete surface condition. Based, viscosity(high, medium, low) and flash point($26^{\circ}C$, $70^{\circ}C$) of form oil were considered as test variables. The digital image process method was applied for the extraction of air-void area from concrete surface. Test result showed that oil-based form oil reduced air-void by approximately 46% compared to water-based form oil, and the higher the viscosity was, the smaller air-void rate was. In addition, it was conformed that flash point of form oil had a considerable influence on the surface condition of steam-cured concrete.

중소기업의 품질경영시스템 인증성과에 관한 실증연구 (Certification of Quality Management System and Firm Performance: An Empirical Approach based on the Experiences of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Korea)

  • This paper attempts to identify empirically whether the certification of Quality Management System affects positively to firm performance using the sample sets of 200 SMEs in Korea who have adopted ISO 9000 majoring in the domestic markets as well as the overseas markets. The empirical study has been done on the assumptions and the hypothesis that the certification itself can conceptually and practically be considered an effective tool to improve the level of standardization of quality management system, and it would result in higher productivity and good corporate image by enabling firms to strengthen up their capabilities to achieve competitive advantage. The empirical findings show that the ISO 9000 has positively contributed to not only obtaining competitive advantage but also bringing about a superior firm performance as it would be, making sure that the certification itself would be used as a powerful tool for good management. This study also pinpoints that the success/failure in introducing & adopting the certification depends highly upon the managers' interests and concerns, especially the CEO's.

CONSTRUCTION EDUCATIONAL GAME FOR K-12

  • The future competitiveness of construction industry is dependent on K-12 students. However, unfavorable images of construction industry have negative influence on K-12 students' decision-making of their career. This negative image makes them not want to find out what actually happens in construction industry. Consequently, it is important to give K-12 students the opportunity to know what construction employees actually do in their job. Studies show that K-12 students who encounter the job early-on are more likely to choose it as their career. In this context, this paper proposes construction educational game in which it can serve as a medium for capturing K-12 students' interest in Construction Management (CM). Based on the literature reviews, challenges of construction educational game for K-12 students which are edutainment, hands-on experience and social interaction, are derived. To address these issues, conceptual model and scenario are designed. Based on designed scenario, prototype of Simulation based Construction Game in Virtual World (SCGVW) is developed in Second Life (SL) and applicability test to K-12 students are implemented. This paper concludes with a discussion of the lessons learned and the future development steps of the construction educational game for K-12 students.

  • 환경의 중요성이 강조되고 하천의 복귀를 논의 하는 등 현 시대의 발전에 물을 중심으로 발전되어온 우리의 문화에서 물이라는 매개체가 주는 역할을 강조하면서 친수공간의 발전이 사람들의 심리에 주는 안정감과 청량감을 준다는 관점에서 도심 속 하천 중요성을 인식한다. 이에 본 논문에서는 서로 다른 경관대상에 따른 유형분석과 색채경관의 자료를 수집하여 색채경관 이미지를 평가하여 색채관리의 필요성과 이를 근거로 구체적인 경관형성의 계획을 제시함으로서 사례지구의 기본 틀로 활용되길 기대한다.

스마트팩토리 도입시 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 : 국내 중소기업을 중심으로 (A Study on Factors Influencing the Introduction of Smart Factory : Focusing on Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in Korea)

  • In this study, we analyzed the factors affecting the introduction of Smart Factory by domestic SMEs through AHP analysis and tried to provide implications for the introduction of Smart Factory. It was confirmed that the manufacturing and introduction group, the non-manufacturing introduction group, and the already introduced group had the highest weight in the cost reduction in the first hierarchy standard. At this time, it can be seen that the weight for cost reduction is relatively high in the manufacturing introduction group and the introduction group, and the weight for the productivity improvement is relatively high in the non-manufacturing introduction group. It can also be seen that the portion of marketing enhancement does not have a significant impact on smart factory choices. It was confirmed that image enhancement is the highest in the manufacturing introduction group and the non-manufacturing introduction group in the first hierarchy standard, and the marketing has the highest weight in the introduction group. In the two - tiered standard, customer - friendly and proper inventory maintenance weights were relatively high in all the introduced groups, except for the high rankings.
