전력시스템에서 수력발전소에 대한 최적 피이드포워드 주파수 제어 (Optimal Feedforward Frequency Control for Hydro-Power Stations in Power Systems)

  • In this paper, the design of optimal feedforward regulators with the optimal feedforward filters for improving power frequency deviations in an interconnected system, using a polynominal LQG approach, is proposed. The performances of the regulators with the optimal feedforward filters were compared with the frequency feedback regulator only in power system by simulation. The results show that the optimal feedforward regulators reduce the power frequency standard deviation by 25%-60% in the white noise load and the peak deviation in the step load by 8%-27%.

  • In recent years, there has been a renewed interest in the BLDC motor as a research subject. In this paper we inspect sources of the torque ripple, which is one of the elements causing performance depreciation of BLDC motors. Based on the inspected sources of the torque ripple, feedforward compensation methods are proposed to reduce the size of torque ripple. The effectiveness of the proposed methods is verified with experiments.

Monolithic SiGe HBT Feedforward Variable Gain Amplifiers for 5 GHz Applications

  • Monolithic SiGe heterojunction bipolar transistor (HBT) variable gain amplifiers (VGAs) with a feedforward configuration have been newly developed for 5 GHz applications. Two types of the feedforward VGAs have been made: one using a coupled-emitter resistor and the other using an HBT-based current source. At 5.2 GHz, both of the VGAs achieve a dynamic gain-control range of 23 dB with a control-voltage range from 0.4 to 2.6 V. The gain-tuning sensitivity is 90 mV/dB. At $V_{CTRL}$= 2.4 V, the 1 dB compression output power, $P_{1-dB}$, and dc bias current are 0 dBm and 59 mA in a VGA with an emitter resistor and -1.8 dBm and 71mA in a VGA with a constant current source, respectively.

  • 본 논문에서는 feedforward 구조와 DGS 마이크로스트립 전송선로를 이용한 새로운 2차 주파수 체배기를 제안하였다. Feedforward 구조는 기본 주파수 신호를 억압하는 역할을 하며, DGS 마이크로스트립 전송선로는 3차 이상의 고조파 신호들을 억압하는 데 사용된다. 제안된 2차 주파수 체배기는 불요파 신호들을 효과적으로 쉽게 억압 할 수 있다. 실험적으로 제안된 방법을 1.87 GHz 신호를 3.74 GHz 신호로 체배하는데 적용하였다. 3.74GHz(If))에서의 출력 전력이 -3 dBm일때, 기본 주파수 신호(1,)는 42.9 dB, 3차 고조파 신호(If,)는 20.2 dB, 4차 고조파 신호(4f))는 29.7 dB의 억압 특성을 얻었다. 100 MHz 대역폭에서 변환 손실은 -2.34 dB ~ -5.8dB 였고, 위상잡음 특성은 -97.51 dB/Hz(@10 kHz)으로 나타났다.

Stability Evaluation for Estimated Impulse Response with a Feedforward Adaptive Control System

  • This paper describes a new method of stability evaluation for an estimated impulse response of a plant. It is difficult for the conventional stability evaluation equation to be used in an adaptive feedforward control system which uses an immeasurable acoustic transfer system of a real plant, because the equation requires an exact true impulse response of the plant. Therefore, the usefulness of the conventional equation is limited in a computer simulation. The proposed method is applicable to not only a computer simulation but also a real feedforward adaptive control system. It is found that the system is stable when the value of misadjustment is below -10 dB through computer simulations and experiments. And also, it is proved that the error signal is stable through the verification using filtered reference and filtered error LMS methods.

A Linear Power Amplifier Design Using an Analog Feedforward Method

  • We propose and describe the fabrication of a linear power amplifier (LPA) using a new analog feedforward method for the IMT-2000 frequency band (2,110-2,170 MHz). The proposed analog feedforward circuit, which operates without a pilot tone or a microprocessor, is a small and simple structure. When the output power of the fabricated LPA is about 44 dBm for a two-tone input signal in the IMT-2000 frequency band, the magnitude of the intermodulation signals is below -60 dBc and the power efficiency is about 7%. In comparison to the fabricated main amplifier, the magnitude of the third intermodulation signal decreases over 24 dB in the IMT-2000 frequency band.

  • 이 논문은 피드포워드 왜란상쇄 관측기를 이용하여 유도전동기의 강인한 제어를 얻을 수 있었다. 전통적인 비례적분 제어기의 속도응답 특징은 부하 토크 요소의 변이에 영향을 받는다. 제안한 시스템에서 속도제어 특성은 부하토크 외란에 영향을 받지 않는 피드포워드 제어를 사용하였다. 벡터제어를 위한 높은 속도의 계산과 처리를 위해 TMS320C31 디지털 프로세서를 사용하였다. 제안한 제어 방법의 타당성을 입증하기 위해 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통해 확인하였다.

실내소음 저감을 위한 능동패널의 체속도 제어 (Volume Velocity Control of Active Panel to Reduce Interior Noise)

  • This paper presents a method of actively controlling the interior noise by a trim panel with hybrid feedforward-feedback control loop. The control technique is designed to minimize the vibration of panel whose motion is limited to that of a piston (out-of-plane motion). The hybrid controller consists of an adaptive feedforward controller in conjunction with a linear quadratic Gaussian (LQG) feedback controller. In order to maintain control performance of both persistent and transient disturbances, the feedback loop speeds up the adaptation rate of feedforward controller by improving damping capacity of secondary plant related with the adaptation rule. Numerical simulation and experimental result indicate that the hybrid controller is a more effective method for reducing the vibration of the panel (and therefore the interior noise) compared to using feedforward controller.

  • This paper offers a practical control scheme for driving mode transformation of a rescue robot already developed. The rescue robot, VSTR(Variable Single-Tracked Robot), has two driving modes, so can traverse untidy terrain and overcome obstacles such as stairs easily by use of timely driving mode transformation. Classical PI control scheme was used firstly for driving mode transformation, but stationary phenomenon, which might have a bad effect on the performance in real situation, came into existence. Therefore, we suggest a new controller, PI-based feedforward controller, which should be a good alternative for the problem, and compare it with other nonlinear control scheme.

히스테리시스 앞먹임과 신경회로망을 이용한 압전 구동기의 정밀 위치제어 (Precision Position Control of Piezoelectric Actuator Using Feedforward Hysteresis Compensation and Neural Network)

  • This work proposes a new method for describing the hysteresis non-linearity of a piezoelectric actuator. The hysteresis behaviour of piezoelectric actuators, including the minor loop trajectory, are modeled by geometrical relationship between a reference major loop and its minor loops. This hysteresis model is transformed into inverse hysteresis model in order to output compensated voltage with regard to the given input displacement. A feedforward neural network, which is trained by a feedback PID control module, is incorporated to the inverse hysteresis model to compensate unknown dynamics of the piezoelectric system. To show the feasibility of the proposed feedforward-feedback controller, some experiments have been carried out and the tracking performance was compared to that of simple PTD controller.
