  • These days the injection molding work and press work are in the trend of needing the precision control of position and pressure in a high speed. On the other hand the digital computer technology is developing rapidly. And recently the digital servo controller using micro controller become to be used more broadly, because of the merit of digital communication. In this study the sequential control of hydraulic system switching from position to pressure and to position is tried using the HACD(Hydraulic Axis Controller Digital for electrohydraulic drives) which is manufactured by BoschRexroth. Through this, the possibility of the precision sequential control using the digital servo controller HACD is examined.

  • In this paper, the boost converter was implemented by digital control in many applications of the step-up. The PWM(pulse width modulation) control module of boost converter was digitized at power converter using the FPGA device and VHDL. The boost converter was designed to output a fixed voltage through the PI control algorithm of the PWM control module even if input voltage and output load are variable. The boost converter was digitized can be simplified by reducing the size of the module and the external control components. Thus, the digital power IC has advantageous for weight reduction and miniaturization of electronic products because it can be controlled remotely by setting the desired output voltage and PWM control module. The boost converter using the digital power IC was confirmed through experiments and the good performances were showed from experiment results.

A Study on the Acceptance of Digital Financial Services Technology for Older Adults: Focusing on the Senior Technology Acceptance Model (고령자의 디지털금융서비스 기술수용 연구: 고령자 기술수용모형(STAM)을 중심으로)

  • This study aims to analyze older adults's intention to use digital financial services. To verify the purpose, the '2022 Korean Senior Technology Acceptance Panel Survey' data were used. And a shortened Senior Technology Acceptance Model(STAM) reflecting the characteristics of older adults was applied. The results of Structural Equation Model analysis are as follows. First, the lower gerontechnology anxiety, the higher control beliefs reflecting perceived ease of use, self-efficacy and facilitating conditions and the intention to use digital financial services. Second, the health factor had a positive effect on the control beliefs. Third, the higher the control beliefs, the higher the attitudinal beliefs reflecting perceived usefulness and attitude and the intention to use digital financial services. Lastly, the higher attitudinal beliefs, the higher the intention to use digital financial services. The results suggest the need for interventions that can relieve gerontechnology anxiety and strengthen positive perceptions about control beliefs and attitudinal beliefs in order to increase older adults's intention to use digital financial services.

  • This paper deals with a PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) current amplifier using digital controller in order to generate a gradient magnetic field far the MRI(Magnetic Resonance Image) system. Because of tolerance of discrete devices, it is difficult to set accurate values of the control parameters and to make an analog-controlling circuit. However, using digital controller, it is possible to set exact control parameters and to adopt a modern control techniques. It is shown that the digital controller will highly enhance the output current response and it will improve the quality of the MRI.

  • This paper presents a new linear-matrix-inequality-based intelligent digital redesign (LMI-based IDR) technique to match the states of the analog and the digital T-S fuzzy control systems at the intersampling instants as well as the sampling ones. The main features of the proposed technique are: 1) the affine control scheme is employed to increase the degree of freedom; 2) the fuzzy-model-based periodic control is employed; and the control input is changed n times during one sampling period; 3) The proposed IDR technique is based on the approximately discretized version of the T-S fuzzy system; but its discretization error vanishes as n approaches the infinity. 4) some sufficient conditions involved in the state matching and the stability of the closed-loop discrete-time system can be formulated in the LMIs format.

  • This paper presents a new scheme of neural network controller to improve the robustuous of robot manipulator using digital signal processors. Digital signal processors, DSPs, are micro-processors that are particularly developed for fast numerical computations involving sums and products of variables. Digital version of most advanced control algorithms can be defined as sums and products of measured variables, thus it can be programmed and executed through DSPs. In addition, DSPs are as fast in computation as most 32-bit micro-processors and yet at a fraction of their prices. These features make DSPs a viable computational tool in digital implementation of sophisticated controllers. During past decade it was proposed the well-established theorys for the adaptive control of linear systems, but there exists relatively little general theory for the adaptive control of nonlinear systems. Perforating of the proposed controller is illustrated. This paper describes a new approach to the design of adaptive controller and implementation of real-time control for assembling robotic manipulator using digital signal processor.   • In this study a microcomputer-aided design program has been developed to design and analysis for the digital adaptive control system. DACS(Digital Adaptive Control System) program has been written in GWBASIC language which is suitable for IBM-PC compatible. The dynamics of each element was modulized and described by linear difference equations. By the aid of this program, sampling time, the number of bits of A/D and D/A converter and the stability for the digital adaptive control system can be determined. In order to estimate the system parameters an on-line identification and a regression analysis method are utilized. The simulation results have been well agreed with the experiments. To demonstrate the utility of this program, an adaptive control system has been designed for air-heating system.

The Effectiveness of Cognitive Scaffolding in an Elementary Mathematics Digital Textbook

  • The purpose of this study is to find a way to improve digital textbooks for self-regulated learning by applying cognitive scaffolding designs to an elementary math digital textbook and examining the effectiveness of the system. Hence this study was conducted in two steps. First, a framework for scaffolding design was devised by examining the problems and difficulties students encounter when using a mathematics digital textbook. Second, after the digital textbook was revised by applying the scaffolding design frameworks, the effectiveness of the scaffolding framework was examined by comparing students' achievement levels in an experimental group and that of students in a control group. Seventy fifth-graders participated in this study. Students were divided into two groups: an experimental group and a control group. The students in the experimental group studied with the revised version of the digital textbook and the students in the control group studied with the original version of the digital textbook. The students received a pretest before the experiment. After the experiment, they took an achievement test and completed a usability questionnaire. The data were analyzed by ANCOVA with the SPSS Windows version. The results revealed that the students who used the revised program (to which design strategies for scaffolding were applied) showed higher levels of achievement than those who used the original version. In addition, students in the experimental group generally showed higher scores on the usability survey, which consisted of four sub-categories such as 'effectiveness', 'efficiency', 'satisfaction', and 'learnability'. There was a statistically significant effect on 'efficiency'. These results implied that scaffolding strategies were effective for mathematics learning through the use of an elementary digital textbook.

  • This paper suggests a servo control algorithm to reduce the repeatable tracking error which is not explicitly taken into account in the design of a conventional PID controller of a computer hard disk drive. The robust stability of the repetitive control system with multiplicative modelling error is analyzed, and the controller was implemented using a fixed point DSP(Digital Signal Processor). Experimental results show that the repetitive errors are suppressed effectively by the proposed controller.
