A load modeling, micro method, is performed by component load modeling, load composition rate estimation and aggregation of component load model, etc. The load model obtained from this process must be applied to actual load bus to verify it and to get reliable load model. But it is difficult to apply every load bus due to al lot of load buses and complex experiment. This paper proposed the field test method in load bus to verify the load modeling. For appropriate field test, representative load buses are selected by the proposed algorithm considering the composition rate of user category in all load buses. The field tests were performed at selected load buses to obtain load characteristics of bus by time and seasonal without blackout. The results of measurement and analysis are presented in detail.

Load models are very important for improving the accuracy of stability analysis and load flow studies. Various loads are connected to a power bus and their characteristics of power consumption change with voltage and frequency. Thus, the effect of voltage/frequency changes must be considered in load modeling. In this work, artificial neural networks-ANNs- were used to construct the component load models for more accurate modeling. A typical residential load was selected and subjected to a test under variable voltage/frequency conditions. Acquired data were used to construct component models by ANNs. The aggregation process of separately determined load models is also presented in the paper. Furthermore, this paper proposes a method to transform a single load model constructed by the aggregation method into a mathematical load model that can be used in traditional power system analysis software.

Nowadays, it is expected that mobility loads such as electric railways and electric vehicles will be penetrated gradually and affect on the power system stability by their load characteristics. Various researches have been carried out about electric vehicles for the recent decade though the load of electric railway could be forecasted because of the specified path and timetable, is a field with a long historic background. Some precise 5th polynomial equations are required to analyze the power system stability considering mobility load to be increased in the immediate future while the electric railway dispatching simulator uses load models with constant power and constant impedance for the system analysis. In this paper, seasonal urban railway load models are established as the form of 5th polynomial equations and substation load modeling methods are proposed merging railway station load models and general load models. Additionally, load management effects by the load modeling are confirmed through the case studies, in which seasonal load models are developed for Seoul Subway Line No. 2, Gyeongui Line and Airport Railroad and the substation load change is analyzed according to the railway load change.

Case study was peformed to analyze energy load for department stores and develop energy load model to be applied to a cogeneration system. Energy loads of 14 departments were analyzed based on energy load sheets written by operators and energy load of one department store was measured through modem communication for a year. Energy load of department stores shows various variations depending on when they are opened or closed and, hours, days and months. In this paper, the measurement was compared with data in energy load sheets and resolved, and energy load model for a department store was built. It is important to use an accurate energy load model for an accurate feasibility study applying a cogeneration system to buildings.

This study is about the difference of South and East facing Cooling load of Apartment s Houses using Dynamic Heat-flow Calculation. Therefore, the purpose of this study is come in to use Material for the Thermal Environments of Apartment Houses. The results of the analysis are below. (1) For the peak load of degree hour; The highest is "I" unit and the next high load is H, F, E, C, B, G, D and A unit for the south facing Apartment houses. The higher load is "H" unit and the next high load is I, E, F, B, C, G, D, A Unit for the east facing Apartment houses. (2) For the total load of degree day; The highest load is "I" unit and the next high load is H, G, F, E, C, B, D and A Unit for the south facing Apartment houses. The highest load is "H" unit and the next high load is I, G, E, F, B, C, D, A Unit for the east facing Apartment houses. Korean Power System are operating a load shedding system to prevent voltage instability phenomenon caused by severe line contingencies. In order to apply the load shedding scheme should be selected a location, amount, delay time. Current load shedding system is load shedding amount that has been calculated in the steady-state analysis to load shed the total amount in first level, load shedding amount calculated in advance, it is possible to perform an unnecessary load shedding. In this paper, set a multi-level load shedding control strategy step-by-step selection of load shedding amount for the prevention of excessive load shedding. In addition, through a voltage resilience analysis of the power system by applying motor load ratio and sensitivity parameter to selection the multi level load shedding ratio and delay time. For this reason, to take advantage of the limit data of interchange power, by utilizing interface power flow data to set a multi-level load shedding control strategy for the stabilization of the Korean Power System.

The temperature changes are very important in improving the accuracy of the load forecasting during the summer. It is because the cooling load in summer contribute to the increasing of the load. This paper proposes a weekend load forecasting algorithm using the temperature change characteristic in a summer of Jeju. The days before and after weekends in Jeju, when the load curves are quite different from those of normal weekdays. The temperature change characteristic are obtained by using weekends peak load and high temperature data. And load forecasted based on the sensitivity between unit temperature changes and load variations. Load forecast data with better accuracy are obtained by using the proposed temperature changes than by using the ordinary daily peak load forecasting. The method can be used to reduce the error rate of load forecast.
Response of harbor structure to environmental loads such as wave load, impact load, ship's contacting load, is a fundamental factor in designing of the structure's optimal configuration. In this paper, typical environmental loads against coastal structures are investigated for designing of the optimal harbor structure. Loads to be considered here are wave load, impact load and contacting load due to ship mooring. Statistical analysis for several harbor structure types under the corresponding loads is carried out, followed by investigation of effect of individual environmental load. Based on these, the optimal configuration for the harbor structure is obtained after considerable engineering process. Estimation of contacting load of the ship is suggested using effective energy concepts for the load, and analysis of structural behavior is done for the optimal designing of the structure in the particular load. A guideline for the design process of the harbor structure is established, and safety of the structure is examined by proposed scheme. For verification of the analytical approach, various steel-piled coastal structures and caissons are chosen and relevant structural analyses are carried out using the Finite Element Methods combined with MIDAS/GTS and ANSYS code. It is found using the Morison equation that impact load cannot be a major load in the typical harbor structure compared with the original wave load, and that configuration shape of the structure may play an important role in consideration of the response criteria.

This paper proposes a dynamic downlink load control scheme that jointly employs dynamic load threshold management and virtual coverage management schemes to reduce the degree of performance degradation due to traffic overload in two-tier femtocell networks. With the proposed scheme, the downlink load in a serving macrocell is controlled with a load threshold which is adjusted dynamically depending on the varying downlink load conditions of neighboring macrocells. In addition, traffic overloading is alleviated by virtually adjusting the coverage of the overloaded serving macrocell, based on the adjusted load threshold of the serving macrocell. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme improves the performance of two-tier femtocell networks in terms of the outage probability and sum throughput. This improvement is significantly increased with appropriate values of load thresholds and with an intermediate-level adjustment of the virtual coverage area (i.e., handover hysteresis margin: HOM). Furthermore, the proposed scheme outperforms both a previously proposed load control scheme with a static load threshold and the LTE system without a HOM adjustment.
