  • In large-scale MANETs, the performance of MANET routing protocols is degraded significantly. To avoid this, zone-based hierarchical architecture is proposed. In this architecture, single large-scale MANET is divided into multiple small-scale MANETs. In this paper, we propose autoconfiguration-coupled MANET routing protocol to reduce routing overhead of mim user nodes. If MANET routing protocol utilizes the autoconfigured information of each user node, its overhead or procedure can be reduced. Proposed method shows the degradation of routing overhead of user nodes via simulation.

  • In this paper, an improved zone-based routing protocol for heterogeneous wireless sensor networks is proposed. The proposed protocol has fixed the sized zone according to the distance from the base station and used a dynamic clustering technique for advanced nodes to select a cluster head with maximum residual energy to transmit the data. In addition, we select an optimal route with minimum energy consumption for normal nodes and conserve energy by state transition throughout data transmission. Simulation results indicated that the proposed protocol performed better than the other algorithm by reducing energy consumption and providing a longer network lifetime and better throughput of data packets.

  • MANET(Mobile Ad-Hoc Network) mean network that configured to mobile device without the help of Fixed infra. Node in MANET constraints have such as liquidity and battery. Node concentrated areas or the size of the network becomes large that causes some issues. It's the problem of routing overhead when path set, path navigation and reset path. In this paper ZRP(Zone Routing Protocol) and ZHLS(Zone-Based Hierarchical Link State) are analyzed. As a result, offers the Fixed ZRP.

  • MANET has an advantage that can build a network quickly and easily in difficult environment to build network. In particular, routing protocol that uses in existing mobile environment cannot be applied literally because it consists of only mobile node. Thus, routing protocol considering this characteristic is necessary. Malicious nodes do extensive damage to the whole network because each mobile node has to act as a router. In this paper, we propose technique that can detect accurately the suspected node which causes severely damage to the performance of the network. The proposed technique divides the whole network to zone of constant size and is performed simultaneously detection technique based zone and detection technique by collaboration between nodes. Detection based zone translates the information when member node finishes packet reception or transmission to master node managing zone and detects using this. The collaborative detection technique uses the information of zone table managing in master node which manages each zone. The proposed technique can reduce errors by performing detection which is a reflection of whole traffic of network.

  • Ad hoc networks are characterized by multi- hop wireless connectivity, frequently changing network topology and the need for efficient dynamic routing protocols. In this paper, we proposed a new technique to adjust the zone radius by concentrating the changes of network traffic in a particular direction, which we refer to as AZRP. We demonstrate that even though ZRP and AZRP share a similar hybrid routing behavior, the differences in the protocol mechanics can lead to significant performance differentials. We discuss the algorithm and report on the performance of AZRP scheme, and compare it to the ZRP routing protocol. Our results indicate clearly that AZRP outperforms ZRP by reducing significantly the number of route query messages. And thereby increases the efficiency of the network load.

  • MANET(Mobile Ad hoc networks) is a mobile, multi-hop, and wireless network which is bandwidth constrained, energy constrained, resource constrained, autonomous, and self operating systems with dynamic topology. These constraints make the routing between communicating nodes in ad hoc networks difficult. In this paper we survey several routing protocol for mobile ad hoc networks. Especially, we focus on Zone Routing Protocol, hybrid routing framework suitable for a wide of mobile ad hoc networks and analyze performance of ZRP. In the case of ZRP protocol, it is essential that the use of optimal zone radius for efficient use. Otherwise it was proved through an simulation that performance of whole network is rapidly decrease with greatly increasing overhead of ZRP traffic that need for transmission of packet by IARP or IERP traffic. Also we suggest the process of finding QoS path that use in-band signal for QoS routing in ad hoc network. This method guarantees route that make real time multimedia service for QoS enabled path.

  • Application Routing Load Balancing (ARLB) is a novel load balancing mode that combines QoS routing and load balancing in per application to support QoS far real-time application based on wired network. Zone Routing Protocol (ZRP) is a recent hybrid proactive/reactive routing approach in an attempt to achieve scalability of ad-hoc network. This routing approach has the potential to be efficient in the generation of control traffic than traditional routing schemes. Up to now, without proper load balancing tools, the ZRP can actually guarantee QoS for delay-sensitive applications when congestion occurred in ad-hoc network. In this paper, we propose the ARLB to improve QoS fur delay-sensitive applications based on ZRP in ad-hoc network when congestion occurred and to be forwarding mechanism fur route coupling to support QoS for real-time applications. The critical point is that the routing metric of ARLB is originally designed for wired network environment. Therefore, we study and present an appropriate metric or cost computation routing of ARLB for recently proposed ZRP over ad-hoc network environment.

  • In this paper, a new zone radius determination algorithm is proposed for a nature-inspired routing protocol that emulates the foraging behavior of bees based on their ability to find an optimal route from nectar sites. Instead of changing the radius of nodes one-hop by one-hop, the proposed algorithm alters the radius of nodes as gaps of another radius and adapt quickly to network conditions. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has higher efficiency compared with existing studies in an aspect of computational complexity and end-to-end delay.

  • In MANET consisting of only mobile nodes, all nodes serve as routes. However, the dynamic topology due to frequent movement of nodes degrades routing performance and is also cause of many security vulnerabilities. Therefore, security must be applied to routing techniques that can influence the performance of MANET. In this paper, we propose a technique for efficiently responding to various routing attacks and safe data transmission through application of zone-key based security routing techniques. A zone-based network structure was used, and a management node that manages member nodes in each zone was used in the proposed technique. In addition, the damage from the attacking node was minimized by issuing a key to each node and applying this to a routing technique. The zone management node issues a key for encryption routing information and manages the issuance information. A member node that wants to transmit data encrypts routing in formation using a key issued from the zone management node, and then performs path discovery using this. The improved performance of the proposed technique was confirmed through a comparative experiment with the CBSR and ARNA technique, excellent performance was confirmed through experiments.
