Cemented type implant에서 지대치의 표면조도와 cement의 종류가 Retrievability에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (THE RETRIEVABILITY OF CEMENTATION TYPE IMPLANT ABUTMENT BY SURFACE TREATEMENTS AND TYPES OF CEMENTS)

  • This study was performed to investigate the retrievability of the cementation type implant abutments. The cements used in this study were Cavitec, Tembond and Zinc Phosphate Cement. The types of surface conditioning were no treatment, 50 microne sandblasting, 250 microne sandblasting, fine diamond finishing point and coarse diamond point. The retention of cast crown was measured with Instron Universal Testing Machine(Instron Engineering Co., U.S.A.). The results were as fellows: 1. The Maximium retention was obtained by the group of Z.P.C. cementation and Coarse diamond point surface conditioning. 2. Z.P.C. shows maximum retention, and reduced in orders Tembond, Cavitec, No cement. 3. The value of retention of surface condition was highest in coarse diamond point, lowest in no tretment. 4. The similar results were obtained between fine diamond point and 50 microne sandblasting, coarse diamond point and 250 microne sandblasting. 5. The were no direct corelation between mechanical retention and cementation retention.

상아질 지각완화제가 치과용 시멘트의 결합강도에 미치는 영향 (THE INFLUENCE OF DENTIN DESENSITIZER TO SHEAR BOND STRENGTH OF DENIAL CEMENTS)

  • Statement of problem: A tenderness of the dentin after tapering of teeth for dental prosthesis is a common phenomenon. In practice, the alternative desensitizer may be used for minor pain after tapering of teeth. Purpose: In this study, the desensitizers were used to investigate the affect decreasing of shear bond strength according to the use of various cement, such as resin, Glass Ionomer, and phosphate cement. Material and method: Three different desensitizers were used on this study Compositions of two dentin desensitizers were HEMA(hydroxyethylmethacrylate) and glutaraldehyde. The other one is oxalic acid. Three dentin desensitizers applied on 12 degrees taper teeth. Then, Ni-Cr crowns were bonded with Resin cement, Zinc Phosphate (ZPC) cement and Glass Ionomer (GIC) cement. 120 human premolar teeth were used for specimens. The specimens were divided into four group as the reference and the empirical each with thirty specimens, then further divided into 12 group according to type of desensitizers and cement types. The shear bond strength were measured by Instron multi task instrument. Results: According to the result, the measured shear bond strength in order from the weakest to the strongest in general was ZPC, Resin, and GIC. And it is found that the application of desensitizers on dentin surface does not affect the shear bond strength. Conclusion: Dentin desensitizers that alleviate or prevent a dentin tenderness, usually contains HEMA and glutaraldehyde compounds. Such desensitizers are widely used in clinical studies. By applying the dentin desensitizer on the exposed dentin surface, the dentin capillary are blocked and periodontal membrane and cementum can not be drawn in pulp cavity. Since HEMA and glutaraldehyde may cause harm to the pulp cavity, an alternative desensitizer was developed.

치과용 시멘트 용액의 증발이 경화된 시멘트의 성질에 미치는 영향 (INFLUENCE OF THE EVAPORATOIN OF LIQUIDS OF DENTAL CEMENTS ON THE PROPERTIES OF HARDENED CEMENTS)

  • This study was designed to evaluate the influences of evaporation of liquid of dental cements by drying during long term using. Zinc phosphate cement, polycarboxylate cement, and glass ionomer cement were used, and evaluated the properties as follows; consistency, setting time, film thickness, solubility, and compressive strength according to the ADA specification. The specimens of control group were made by mixing the newly opened liquid using the powder-liquid ratio recommended by the manufacturer, and the specimens of ES groups were made by mixing the 10% evaporated liquid by drying with the powder-liquid ratio recommeded by the manufacturer, and the specimens of EM group were made by mixing the 10% evaporated liquid with the powder-liquid ratio modified for standard consistency. The following conclusions were drawn ; 1. The viscosity of mixture of all kinds of cements were increased by the evaporation of liquid, especially the viscosity of glass ionomer cement were influenced significantly. 2. The amount of liquid should be increased to get a standard consistency at the using of evaporated liquid of cement, the most significant increase of liquid amount was required on Ketac-Cem. 3. The setting times were increased at both cases of mixing of evaporated liquid with powder - liquid ratio recommended by manufacturer or modifided through consistency test. 4. At an experimental group of mixing of the evaporated liquid with powder-liquid ratio recommended by manufacturer, solubility was decreased and film thickness was increased. 5. By the result of evaporation of cement liquid, the compressive strength of polycarboxylate cement was increased slightly and it of glass ionomer cement was increased, however, by the increase of amount of liquid to be possible to manipulate the compressive strength were decreased.

치아표면 거칠기와 시멘트 종류가 전부주조관의 유지력에 미치는 영향 (INFLUENCE OF TOOTH SURFACE ROUGHNESS AND TYPE OF CEMENT ON RETENTION OF COMPLETE CAST CROWNS)

  • Bond strength of luting cements to dentin is a critical consideration for success of complete cast crowns. This study was performed to evaluate the relationship between surface characteristics of teeth prepared for complete cast crowns and retention of cemented restorations. Eighty artificial crowns were cast for standardized complete crown tooth preparations accomplished with the use of a special device on recently extracted human teeth. Coarse diamond(#102R, Shofu) and superfine finishing diamond(#SF102R, Shofu) burs of similar shape were used. Crowns in each group were randomly subdivided into few subgroups of 10 for luting cements selected for this study: zinc phosphate cement (FLECK' S), polycarboxylate cement (Poly-F), rein-forced glass ionomer cement (Fuji PLUS). and adhesive resin cement (Panavia 21). Retention was evaluated by measuring the tensile load required to dislodge the artificial crown from tooth preparations with an Instron testing machine, and analysed by one-way ANOVA and Student's t-test. The obtained results were as follows ; 1. When tooth preparation was done with coarse diamond bur, retentive force was diminished in order of Panavia 21 Fuji PLUS, FLECK'S, and Poly-F. Retentive forces showed the significant difference between Fuji PLUS group and FLECK'S group(p<0.001). 2. When tooth preparation was done with superfine diamond bur, retentive force was diminished in order of Fuji PLUS, Panavia 21, FLECK'S, and Poly-F. Retentive forces showed the significant difference between Panavia 21 group and FLECK'S group(p<0.001). 3. Retentive force in coarse tooth surfaces was significantly higher than that in superfine tooth surface with all luting cements(p<0.001), and cement residues were almost retained with-in the cast crown in all groups.

전부피개관의 물성과 시멘트의 물성이 시멘트 내부의 응력에 미치는 영향 (Characterization of the Stress in the Luting Cement layer Influenced by Material Properties of Full Veneer Crown)

  • 이 논문의 목적은 시멘트 층 내의 응력분포에 대해 금관의 물성과 시멘트의 물성 및 교합력의 방향이 미치는 영향을 이차원 유한요소분석으로 조사하는 것이다. Chamfer 변연을 가지는 23개의 하악 제1대구치 모델을 상정하였다. 금관의 재질은 제 3형 금합금, Ni-Cr 합금, 세라믹, 복합레진 등 4가지이며, 시멘트의 재질은 인산 아연 시멘트와 글라스 아이오노머 시멘트 등 2가지이다. 치축과 평행하게 또는 경사지게 하여 1N 단위로 금관에 하중을 가했다. 시멘트층의 응력은 금관 변연이 다른 곳보다 더 높았다. 치축에 평행한 하중이 치축에 경사진 하중보다 더 높은 응력을 발생시켰다. 경도가 더 큰 금관은 시멘트 층 내에서 더 높은 응력을 나타냈으며, 더 높은 응력은 더 큰 Young's modulus을 나타냈다.

수종 치과 교정용 밴드 시멘트의 세포독성에 관한 실험적 연구 (In vitro cytotoxicity of four kinds orthodontic band cements)

  • 고정식 교정 치료시 교정용 밴드가 장착된 치아의 치주조직 손상은 접착된 치아에서 보다 자주 발생한다. 일반 치과치료에 사용되는 시멘트는 세포독성을 지닌 것으로 알려져 있으므로 치주조직과 직접 접촉하거나 구강 내에서 밴드시멘트의 성분들이 용출되는 교정용 밴드 시멘트는 치주조직의 손상을 일으키는 원인이 될 수 있다 그러므로 교정용 밴드 시멘트의 생체 친화성은 재료의 물성과 함께 중요하게 고려되어야 할 사항이다. 이 연구의 목적은 교정용 밴드 시멘트의 세포독성을 평가하는 것으로 현재 임상에서 널리 사용되고 있는zinc phosphate cement (ZPC), glass ionomer (GI), resin modified glass ionomer (RMGI), compomer의 생체 친화성을 평가하기 위해 human gingiva fibroblast를 배양하고 이 세포에 대한 세포수 산정 및 세포 형태관찰, MTT(3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide) assay, 한천중층시험 등의 세포독성 검사를 시행하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 세포수 산정 및 형태 관찰 시험에서 Gl>ZPC, RMGI, RMG124, GI24>compomer24, ZPC24, compomer 순으로 세포독성이 높게 나타났다. 2. MTT assay 에서는 GI>ZPC, RMGI>GI24>ZPC24, compomer, RMGI24, compomer24 순으로 세포독성이 높게 나타났다. 3. 한천중층시험에서 는 GI>GI24, ZPC, ZPC24, RMGI>RMG124, compomer, compomer24 순으로 세포독성 이 높게 나타났다.

접착형 구조 금 인레이의 접착 형태, 강도 및 파절 양태에 관한 실험적 연구 (AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON ADHESION PATTERN, ADHESION STRENGTH AND FRACTURE PATTERN OF THE ADHESIVE CAST GOLD INLAY)

  • Zinc Phosphate Cement hand been used for about more than 100 years in luting of cast gold inlay. But many scientists had been trying to develop the new form of luting agent because the ZPC hand shown the lack of adhesiveness on the tooth structure and the toxicity to the pulp tissue. Recently many researches about the surface treatment of the cast body are being done to increase the adhesion of cement to it. The conventional Class I gold inlays were fabricated in the 20 permanent molars. After the internal surface of the cast body was sandblasted with $Al_2O_3$ particles and was tin-plated, the inlays were cemented with adhesive cement [G I cement and resin cement(Super-Bond & $Panavia_{EX}$)] and the evaluation on the adhesion pattern, adhesive strength and the fracture pattern of the adhesive cast gold inlay was compared to that of the cast gold inlay cemented conventionally with ZPC. The results were as follows : 1. The surface roughness of the cast body was increased significantly after sandblasting with the $Al_2O_3$ particles and the tin oxide layer, which was consisted of round particles, came into being. 2. The bond strength was in the order of Super-Bond, ZPC, Fuji I, $Panavia_{EX}$ group. The group cemented with Super-Bond showed statistically greater strength than the other groups(p<0.05). 3. The group cemented with ZPC was fallen apart by principal adhesion failure and that with Fuji I was by complete adhesion failure. But the group with Super-Bond showed pricncipal cohesive failure pattern and in the group with $Panavia_{EX}$, complete cohesive fracture pattern was shown and small protion of tooth structure was fractured out with cast body and the fractured surface showed the figure just as the enamel prism. 4. Various gaps were shown at the pulpal side regardless of little gap at the side walls of the cavity in all groups. Only the Super-Bond was attached to the tooth structure and the other cements were detached from both the tooth and the cast body.

치근단 주위 농양의 치료로서 치근단 절제술 적용 2례 (Apicoectomy for Treatment of Periapical Abscess in two Dogs)

  • A 10-year-old, female mixed breed dog and a 3-year-old, female chihuahua which had swelling below lower eyelid were refered to Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital, Seoul National University. The plain maxillary oblique view revealed radiolucency at periapical area in maxillary fourth premolar. The 2 cases were diagnosed as periapical abscess by clinical sign and radiographs, and apicoectomies were performed for resetting the lesions and preserving the teeth. Under general anesthesia with isoflurane, periapical abscess was resected by burs and the defect was filled with zinc phosphate cement. Radiograph was perfomed at 1 week and 1 year after apicoectomy and there was no evidence of recurrence.

  • After a vital pulpotomy in human permanent teeth, the responses of the remaining pulp tissue under formocresol was studied histologically. The class I cavity was prepared on the teeth and the pulp was amputated. Formocresol was placed over the amputated tissue and the cavity was sealed with zinc phosphate cement and amalgam. The teeth were extracted after 1, and 3 weeks following the operation and were decalcified, sectioned and stained with hematoxylin and losin. Microscopic examination reveals as follows; I. Healing of the pulp at the amputated site did not occur in the pulps treated with formocresol. 2. At one week the pulps were normal except only slight inflammatory reaction. 3. At three weeks, the pulps showed the most serious inflammation, bleeding and necrotic state.

임플란트 보철물의 합착에 대한 문헌고찰 (A literature review on cementation of implant prosthesis)

  • 시멘트유지형 임플란트 보철물은 교합과 심미적인 측면에서 상당한 장점을 가지지만 시멘트잔사가 남을 경우 임플란트주위염을 유발하는데 대부분 후기 증상으로 발현되며 특히 제거의 어려움과 시멘트잔사로 인한 임플란트주위염은 임플란트의 예후를 위협하는 요인이 될 수 있다. 그러므로 사용목적에 맞는 유지력을 가지는 시멘트를 선택하는 것이 필요하다. 일반적으로 레진시멘트, 폴리카복실레이트시멘트, RMGI 시멘트가 GI 시멘트나 ZPC보다 높은 유지력을 가지며 임시합착제는 열순환 후에는 유지력이 낮아진다. 시멘트 외에도 지대주의 높이와 경사도, 지대주의 수 및 분포도 유지력에 영향을 줄 수 있다. 무엇보다 목적에 맞는 시멘트를 선택하고 생역학적인 원칙을 준수한 보철물을 설계하고 시멘트잔사를 줄이는 방법을 이용하여 합착한 후 방사선사진으로 잔사를 확인하여 완벽하게 제거해야 시멘트유지형 보철의 성공을 얻을 수 있을 것이다.
