본 연구에서는 중국 베이징시(북경시(北京市)) 중관촌(中關村) 클러스터를 사례로 첨단산업 네트워크의 공간적 특성을, 구매, 판매, 생산자 서비스, 정보, 연구개발에 초점을 두고 고찰하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 중관촌(中關村) 클러스터 기업의 구매, 생산자 서비스, 정보, 연구개발 네트워크의 공간적 특성은 클러스터 내부를 중심으로 하는 국지적 네트워크가 발달하고 지역적 뿌리내림이 강하게 나타났다. 이는 중관촌(中關村) 클러스터 기업은 중국을 대표하는 첨단 기업으로 원자재 및 부품은 클러스터 내 기업에 주로 의존할 수밖에 없는 산업환경적 특성과 정부의 정책적 지원 기관이 집중되어 있기 때문에 생산자 서비스 그리고 혁신에 관한 정보를 제공할 수 있는 제도적 기반이 상대적으로 잘 갖추어져 있기 때문이다. 또한 중관촌(中關村) 클러스터는 중국 내 타 지역에 비해 우수한 연구개발 역량을 가진 기업, 대학, 그리고 연구소가 집적되어 있을 뿐만 아니라 클러스터 내에 기술혁신을 위한 각종 지원기관이 집중되어 양적으로나 질적으로 최고수준의 연구개발 지원을 받고 있기 때문이다. 반면에 이 지역에서 생산된 첨단 제품들은 베이징뿐만 아니라 중국 전역 나아가서는 해외로 판매되고 있기 때문에 제품 판매 네트워크는 비국지적 네트워크가 강하다. 결론적으로 특정산업집적지가 혁신클러스터로 발전함에 있어서는 클러스터 주체간의 국지적 네트워크의 강화가 무엇보다 중요하다. 이런 점에서 중관촌(中關村) 클러스터는 네트워크 관점에서 본다면 기본적인 토대가 갖추어졌다고 할 수 있다. 그러나 국제적인 경쟁력을 강화하기 위해서는 국지적 네트워크뿐만 아니라 국제적 네트워크를 강화할 필요가 있다고 하겠다.

The purpose of this research is to examine the major determinants affecting the usage and performance of information technologies in Daedeok Valley and Zhongguancun venture firms. The development of the research model is based on the theoretical linkages of IDT (Innovation Diffusion Theory) and TAM(Technology Acceptance Model). Seven hypotheses are derived and tested using regression analysis. The results from regression analysis suggest that the usage of Information technologies is affected by innovation characteristics (perceived usefulness) as well as organizational characteristics (top management support, employee capability on information technology acceptance) in Daedeok Valley venture firms. But, The results from regression analysis suggest that the usage of Information technologies is affected by innovation characteristics (perceived usefulness), organizational characteristics (top management support, employee capability on information technology acceptance), and external pressure (environmental uncertainty, intensity of competition) in Zhongguancun venture firms.

본 연구에서는 중국 베이징시(북경시(北京市)) 중관촌(中關村) 클러스터를 사례로 첨단산업 연구개발 네트워크의 특성을 기업간, 산 학, 산 연, 산 관에 초점을 두고 고찰하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 중관촌(中關村) 클러스터 기업의 국제경쟁력을 제고시키기 위해서는 연구개발의 강화가 요구된다. 기업의 연구개발 네트워크 실태를 조사한 결과를 살펴보면, 조사 대상 기업들은 현재에도 어느 정도는 연구개발 네트워크가 활성화되고 있다. 특히 기업의 협력 대상별 연구개발 네트워크의 내용에 있어서 차이는 있으나, 기업들은 다양한 내용으로 연구개발 네트워크를 이용하고 있다. 그러나 연구개발 네트워크가 어느 정도 자리잡은 수준에 이르고 있지만 아직까지 기업들이 연구개발 네트워크를 구축하는데 많은 애로가 있는 것이 사실이다. 따라서 본문은 기업들이 연구개발 네트워크를 형성하는데 애로점을 해결하기 위해 개선방안을 제시하였다.

The Haidian Garden of Zhongguancun Science and Technology Zone is an area with high intellectual intensity. It is therefore known as China's Silicon Valley. The Summer Palace, a World Heritage Site, sits in the northwest part of it. 250 years ago, the construction of imperial gardens in this area, including the Summer Palace, gave birth to the appearance and prosperity of the town of Haidian. This will also provide various opportunities for the growth of the science and technology. Today the green space, the cultural and ecological environment of the Summer Palace, and its 3-kilometer buffer zone are becoming one important strategic factor for the Haidian Garden to attract talents, improve international competitiveness and realize sustainable development. How to taking advantage of the favorable resources, to achieve balance between protection of the environment around the Summer Palace and urban development, will be of great importance in the future plans of the science and technology.

최근 대학이 전통적 역할인 연구, 교육, 봉사뿐만 아니라 직간접적으로 기업가로서의 활동을 하는 사례가 증가함에 따라 기업가적 대학(Entrepreneurial University)으로서의 역할이 연구자들에게 관심의 대상이 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 중국 북경의 중관촌 사이언스파크에 대한 사례 연구를 통해 대학이 기업가적인 활동을 통해 사이언스파크의 개발과 성장과정에서 어떤 역할을 할 수 있는지 파악해 보았다. 북경대, 청화대, 중국인민대, 중국과학원 등에 대해 집중사례연구를 실시하였으며 특히 사이언스파크 개발 과정에서 대학의 주체적, 능동적 역할에 초점을 두었다. 연구결과 중관촌 지역의 대학들은 대학기업의 운영, 지주회사의 설립과 직접투자, 대학 과학기술원 운영, 지식교류 중개기관으로서의 역할, 창업기업가 양성 교육 등과 같은 적극적 경제활동을 통해 사이언스파크의 개발과 성장에 직접적으로 기여를 하고 있었다. 본 연구의 결과는 기업가적 활동을 하는 대학이 구체적으로 어떤 활동을 할 수 있으며 사이언스파크의 개발에 있어 어떤 역할과 기여를 할 수 있는지 사례를 통해 보여준다.
