the author studied the corelativity between the head and face and the maxillary arch in Korean. This study was undertaker in 336 persons at age from 9 to 19 years who had normal occlusion by means of angle's classification. The following results were obtained. 1. The corelative coefficient between the Height of Head and Face (H.H.F.) and the Arch Length (A.L.) was 0.203-0.543, 2. The corelative coefficient between the Bizygomatic width (Z.W.) and the Bicanine width (C-C) was 0.203-0.543. 3. The corelative coefficient between the Bizygomatic width (Z.W.) and the Bimolar width (M-M) was 0.206-0.600. 4. The corelative coefficient between the Face shape (Index a) and Maxillaxy arch shape (In-dex c) was 0.232-0.404. 5. The corelative coefficient between the Face shape (Index a) and Maxillary arch shape (Index d) was 0.221-0.401. 6. There was no corelativity between the Anterior-posterior width of head (A.P.W.) and Arch Length A.L.), Head shape (Index b) and Maxillary arch shape (Index c, Index d).

The title complex, $Ni(L)_4(NCS)_2$(1) (L=2-ethylimidazole) has been synthesized and charac-terized by X-ray single crystallography. The complex 1 crystallizes in the tertragonal system P4nc space group with a=10.587(2), $c=12.927(3){\AA}$, Z=2m, $R_1$=0.581 and $wR_$=0.1675 for 672 independent reflection. The central Ni(II) atom of the complex has a regular octa-hedral coordination geometry, with the 2-ethylimidazole ligands bonding through nitrogen atom and the isothiocyanate ligands bonding through nitrogen atom in a trans arrangement.

The structrue of hydroxy-bisbenzoyloxy-allyloxycalix[4]arene (C45H36O6) has been determined by X-ray crystallography. The crystals are monoclinic, space group P21, unit cell constants a=11.045(3), b=33.545(2) c=10.319(4)Å, β=113.86(2)˚, Z=4, V=3496.0(1.8) Å3, DC=1.28 gcm-3. The intensity data were collected on an Enraf-Noninus CAD-4 Diffractometer with a graphite monochromated Mo-Kα radiation. The structure was solved by direct method and refined by full-matrix least-squares calculations to a final R value of 0.076 for 2945 observed reflections. Two independent enantiomeric molecules are crystallized in a 1:1 racemate mixture. They have the flattened cone conformation with the flattening hydroxy1 pheny1 rings. There is an intramolecular hydrogen bond in both molecules.

The complex [Ni(L)]I2 (1) (L:3,5,10,12-Tetramethly-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane) has been prepared and characterized by X-ray diffraction methods. The complex 1 crystallized in the orthorhombic system, space group Pcab with cell parameters a=13.293(1) Å, b=28.550(7) Å, c=10.804(1) Å, z=8. Least-squares refinement of 1 led to a R(Rw) factor of 0.043 (0.046) for 1851 observed reflections of Fo>3o (Fo). The crystal structure of 1 has a slightly distorted square-planar geometry and adopts the trans-III conformation.

The complex[Cu(L)](ClO4)2 (1) (L:3,5,10,12-Tetramethyl-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane) has been synthesized and structurally characterized. The complex 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P21/n with cell parameters a=8.208(2)Å, b=13.339(6) Å, c=10.752(5) Å, β=111.02(4)˚ Z=2. Least-squares refinement of 1 led to a R(RW)factor of 0.073 (0.142) for 617 observed reflections of F0>40(F0). The crystal structure of 1 has a square-planar geometry and adopts the trans-III conformation.

Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) DR7 분광자료를 이용하여 z < 0.01에 존재하는 필드(field) 은하 505개를 선별하였다. SDSS의 컬러 영상을 이용하여 필드은하들의 형태(morphology)를 타원은하/왜소타원은하, 렌즈은하/왜소렌즈은하, 나선은하, 그리고 불규칙은하로 분류하였으며, 이들 은하들에 대한 측광을 수행하였다. 한편, Galex Evolution Explorer (GALEX) 자외광 영상으로부터 선별된 은하들에 대한 자외광 측광도 수행하였다. 서로 다른 환경에 있는 은하들의 최근 별탄생 활동이 어떻게 변화하는지 파악하기 위하여 처녀자리은하단 (Virgo cluster)에 있는 은하들과 비교하여 필드은하들의 자외광-가시광 색-등급 분포를 조사하였다. 처녀자리은하단 은하들에 비하여 필드은하들은 작은 자외광-가시광색지수를 가지는 만기형 은하들의 비율이 높았다. 특히, 조기형 필드은하들의 색지수 값이 처녀자리은하단 조기형 은하들에 비해 전반적으로 더 작은 값을 나타내고, 이 특징은 질량이 작은 왜소은하에서 더욱 크게 나타남을 알 수 있었다. 한편, 환경적 효과를 거의 받지 않는 필드은하들은 환경적 효과가 큰 은하단 은하들의 진화 연구에서 환경적 효과의 크기 및 기작을 규명하는 기본 자료로 사용될 수 있음을 토의하고자 한다.

The Connected House is a new type of IT convergence service that combines new communication services with existing IT systems such as M2M, NFC, smart home, and smart grid. It is a future connected life service that connects to any device anytime, anywhere. In this paper, we designed an intelligent gateway, a connected office solution for the Internet of things, which provides a connected life service for the future, and can control various sensors, ZigBee/Z-Wave/NFC and terminal devices. In addition, IP/SIP/IMS cameras and video door phones that are linked to the gateway have been developed to satisfy the quality standards of domestic communication service providers in terms of voice quality, jitter, and frame rate.

An entomopathogenic fungus, Zoophthora radicans, was found causing epizootics in populations of the green peach aphid, Myzus persicae, on March 27, 1998 at Seongju Gun, Kyungbuk Province in Korea. Anamorhic characteristics of the fungus were described using light and scanning electron microscopy. Distinguishing characteristics of Z. radicans is formation of capilliconidia on a single slender secondary conidiophore.

A Mach-Zehnder type $Ti:LiNbO_3$ optical modulator with a grooved $SiO_2$ buffer layer, was evaluated in terms of an electrode structure. The finite element method was performed to find out the optinum design parameters of electrodes. characteristic impedance ($Z_o$), MW effective index ($N_{eff}$) and attenuation constant ($a_o$)of fabricated traveling-wave electrodes were measured and compared with those obtained by the simulation expectation. For an optical modulator with 11${\mu}m$thick electrodes and a grooved $SiO_2$ buffer layer, the 3dB bandwidth based on the RF measurement results turned out to be 18GHz.

Attractiveness of different amounts of methyl (E,E,Z)-2,4,6-decatrienoate, the aggregation pheromone of brown-winged stink bug, Plautia stali (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae), was tested using different kinds of dispensers. A lure filled with hexane was used as a control treatment. There were no differences in the attractiveness of the pheromone to P. stali and Halyomorpha halys among dispensers (polyethylene-vial, rubber septum, and polyethylene tube). Traps baited with 7, 20, 40, 50, and 60 mg of pheromone were tested for their attractiveness. For females, the 40 mg trap attracted highest number of P. stali, even though there were no significant differences among pheromone amounts. For males, the 40 and 50 mg traps attracted significantly more bugs than the 7, 20, and 60 mg traps and the control traps. Based on these results, the pheromone dispenser impregnated with 40 mg of pheromone will be practical in monitoring P. stali in the field.
