Epoxy resins are thermoset polymers that exhibit good adhesion, creep resistance, heat resistance, and chemical resistance. These polymers, however, give poor resistance to crack propagation and low impact strength. In this study, epoxy/carboxyl-terminated butadiene acrylonitrile (CTBN) and epoxy/amine-terminated butadiene acrylonitrile (ATBN) composites were prepared with different ratio of CTBN and ATBN to improve low impact strength of epoxy resin. The impact strength of epoxy/elastomeric composites shows high values with increasting nonpolar surface free energy while the tensile strength and the glass transition are decreased. The highest surface free energy, impact strength observed when 15 phr CTBN and 15 phr ATBN added, respectively. It can be concluded that as liquid rubber to improve impact strength of epoxy resin, ATBN is more preferable to CTBN.

Traditionally, Cham dang-gui (Angelica gigas Nakai) is one of the most popular herbal medicines in Asian countries including Korea. A. gigas has been used as a functional food product for treatment anemia, women's health care, a sedative, an anodyne or a tonic agent. Decursin and decursinol angelate isolated from the roots of A. gigas are pyranocoumarin compounds. Recently, as the global herbal medication market is increasing, investigations about pharmacological effects of decursin and decursinol angelate are rapidly increasing. We summarized previous studies about pharmacological effects of decursin and decursinol angelate, and reviewed relation with pharmacological effects of decursin and decursinol angelate on human disorder, focused on the approach for new drug development. Pharmacological effects of decursin and decursinol angelate were classified as anti-tumor activity, anti-bacterial activity, improvements of the circulating system, inhibition of cytochrome P-450 activity, anti-inflammation activity, anti-oxidant activity and cognitive-enhancing activites. The activity of A. gigas with improvement of the circulating system may have wide therapeutic potential for circulatory diseases, including diabetes, hyperlipidemia and atherosclerosis. Also, anti-inflammation activity A. gigas may be beneficial for the treatment and prevention of asthma, atopic dermatitis and rheumatism arthritis. This relation could potentially lead to the development of herbal new drugs. In order to development a new drug containing decursin and decursinol angelate, it is also necessary to consider the safety profile, and the information in this review would contribute to development a new drug from herbal medicine.

In this study, we investigated the influence of smart factory's implementing energy management system on innovation resistance and work performance. We surveyed and analyzed 211 employees of system construction companies in the metropolitan area. In order to increase the introduction performance through diffusion of the energy management system, it is found that it is important to support the organizational-level management strategy to reduce the user's resistance to innovation. In conclusion, this study has implications for positively leading to the efficiency and management performance of the manufacturing process of the manufacturing enterprises, and it is necessary to follow - up studies considering the characteristics of the energy management system and the expansion of the research scope in the future.

Chang San-roe re-explained the contents from the 30th question to the 47th question of "Nan Jing" which refered to the Chang-Pu and physiological theories as follows through the western theory which wss different from the tranditioonal chinese theory 1. "Nan Jing" refered to the circulation and the coming into being of Yeong-Wi. He denied that it was classified Yeong from Wi or Eum from Yang. 2. He denied that Sam-Cho was separated to three parts and the theory of "Sam-Cho is name only, not shape", using western medical theory. 3. He denied the view about "Left side is kidney, right side is Myung-Mun" because it was incorrect that kidney was separated to two parts which were Su and Hwa or Eum and Yang 4. Re-explaining the contents of "Nan Jing"- the portions of heart and lungs, the rising and falling of liver and lungs, the relationships of five viscera and sound color smell taste fluid, the relationships of five viscera and nine hole, the relationships of five viscera and O-Chu, the physiological difference of the old and the young owing to the deflection of Yeong-Wi Chi-Heol- he thought that viewing the human body using theory of Eum and Yang, Five elements(五行) was a far-fetched interpretation, so he denied the tranditional chinese theory which understood human body's organs, physiology, pathology. 5. He explained the contents of "Nan Jing"- the portions of the colon and the small intestines, the funtion of the six bowls, the corespondence of Chang-Pu, physical peculiarity of liver, the anatomical aspects which were the sizes, weights, volumes and shapes of the Chang-Pu and the alimentary canal, Chil-Chung-Mun, Pal-Hoe-Hyeolthrough western anatomy and physiology in detail.

YoungChu NonYong(靈樞 論勇)seems to be named as such by its explanation in detail about the brave man who can and the coward who cannot stand pain respectively. In the first chapter, it is considered that the factors of diseases are dependent upon the state of skin and flash. In the second chapter, it is put about the problem of standing pain and not. In the third chapter, about the causes of resulting in brave or unbrave man. And in the fourth chapter, about drunken frenzy(酒悖). More concretely speaking, in the first chapter, it is explained that the factors of pathogenesis are related closely with the state of skin and flash, so to speak, though the outer factors which can arouse diseases should exist, the sensitivity of skin and flash which are the first defense tissue in human body, is more important factor. Undoubtedly, the environmental factors existing in physical nature which surrounds human life, have influenced upon human health, especially in ancient times. But, this chapter exhibits some reflections that ultimately the inner conditions of human body decide the attack of diseases. However, this chapter may have some corruptions for it reveals the contents which are not fit with the headline. In the second chapter, it is written that the sensitivity to pain is not only dependent upon the character of bravery but also upon the thickness of skin, the strength of flesh and the speed of response. In this we evidence that the ancient people had the idea that human pain-feeling is more dependent upon the degree of development of sensory neuron of physical body than one's character of bravery. In the third chapter, ti is described that the differences of physical development mainly influence the differences of the degree of mental bravery. In the fourth chapter, the drunken frenzy is explained. The implication is that as civilization has been growing, the drinking culture has made both in dividual and social health affair. The alcohol has the function of pleasing mind improving the quality of human life but it can also destroy both human body and mind when abused. About the harms like this, this part wams by the examples of drunken man's abnormal behaviors.

Long pulse XeCl excimer laser with 150 ns (FWHM) pulse duration is developed using a simple capacitor-charge transfer circuit. We measured the laser pulse width varying the gas mixture ratio and capacitance ratio, which dominantly affect the pulse width. In this way we can easily stretch the pulse width from short pulse to long pulse. The pulse width was stretched by 120 ns as the partial pressure of HC1 and Xe gas was reduced under constant gas mixture ratio ([Xe]/[HCl]= 15), and by varying the capacitance ratio (Cm/Cp) under fixed pressure, the pulse width was stretched by 60 ns.

1. Objective To investigate characteristics of menstrual patterns according to Sasang Constitutional disease, and to utilize for diagnosis and treatment of Sasang Constitutional disease. 2. Method The recruited subjects were 430 women who convinced their Sasang Constitution by taking herbal medicine and improving of chief complaint. The items of data contain age at menarche, age at menopause, menstrual cycle, menstrual duration, cyclic regularity of menstruation, severity of menstrual pain, the worst day of menstrual pain, type of menstrual pain, amount of menstruation. 3. Results 1) Severity of menstrual pain, the worst day of menstrual pain, menstrual pain accompanied with nausea were significant among Sasang Constitutional diseases. 2) In Bae-chu-pyo-byeong disease (背椎表病證), Wi-wan-han disease (胃院寒證), So-eum disease (少陰證) and Tae-eum disease (太陰證), menstrual pain was severer than other diseases. 3) In Hae-yeok disease and So-yang-sang-pung disease (少陽傷風證), the worst day of menstrual pain was a day before menstruation. In Hyung-gyeok-yeol disease (胸膈熱證), Tae-eum disease (太陰證), So-eum disease (少陰證), the frequency of a day after menstruation in the worst day of menstrual pain was higher than other diseases. In Wi-wan-han disease (胃院寒證), Mang-yang disease (亡陽證), the frequency of two day after menstruation in the worst day of menstrual pain was higher than other diseases. 4) In So-yang-sang-pung disease (少陽傷風證), Mang-eum disease (亡陰證), Eum-heo-o-yeol diasese (陰虛午熱證), Ul-gwang disease (鬱狂證), Tae-eum disease (太陰證), So-eum disease (少陰證), the frequency of menstrual pain accompanied with nausea were higher than other diseases. 4. Conclusion Menstrual patterns, especially menstrual pain is different among Sasang Constitutional diseases. Assessing menstrual pain can be used for diagnosing Sasang Constitutional diseases, deciding treatment course, determinating prognosis.

Asia1/Shamir that has been recommended by World Reference Laboratory for foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) is used as a vaccine strain, and is being prepared in many countries including Korea. Although it is assumed that vaccine strain Asia1/Shamir has a wide antigenicity, sufficient molecular biological analysis has not been accomplished yet. Complete genome sequence analysis showed that the region with the most severe variations was 1D region of structural protein-coding sequence; particularly amino acid 141~157 residues in 1D region RGD sites for binding to susceptible cells. In addition, five amino acids in 1D region were identified as characteristic sites that are different from other known Asia1 viruses. Asia1/Shamir strain was shown to be genetically similar to group VI that had occurred in the Middle East, but showed low level of genetic similarity to the group V viruses that had occurred in the Southeast Asia and China. It is considered that, if these viruses, group I and II including group V are introduced into Korea, care would be paid in case of inoculating the vaccine strain Shamir available in Korea.

Foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) is one of the most infectious diseases affecting cloven-hoofed animals including cattle, sheep, goats, and pigs. Seven serotypes of foot-and-mouth disease virus with multiple subtypes within each serotype have been identified until now. In particular, it has been demonstrated that the outbreak of the serotype Asia1 reported from China, Mongolia and North Korea since 2005 is mostly classified into genetic group V. Though it has been recommended that Asia1 Shamir strain can be used as a high priority vaccine by World References Laboratory for FMD, the complete nucleotide sequences of the strain has not yet been determined. In this study, to be prepared for Asia1 type viruses that may be brought into Korea, the complete genome sequence of this vaccine strain Asia1 Shamir including its 5' and 3' non-coding region was identified.

As an effort to realize the results of last two years of study, this study had three distinguished purposes: 1) confirming whether some requests for corrections had been accepted or not 2) making a list of possible errors found in newly written textbooks and asking to fix them, and 3) classifying forest related contents identified in the textbooks according to the 150 topics included in information material, so called Forest IQ 200. Among 94 errors associated trees, forest or forest education, only thirteen of them were found to be fixed according to the request made in previous study of 2008. Especially, most of the fixed errors were identified to be in natural and social science subject textbooks and nothing was found in art and language areas. Total of 1,320 forest related items were found in the textbooks at the level of kindergarten to 10th grade(freshman in highschool). Korean student was expect to have a chance to learn forest related items 1.64 times a week for 10 years(First to 10th grade). Analyzing 1,109 contents in terms of four topic areas of forest education, the forest culture area was found to have most content of 348 including painting and recreation. Some suggestions were made to make school forest education better, and publishing the forest textbook for elementary schools was one of them.
