As computer systems get complex more and more, the powerful but easy-to-use man machine interfaces are required. This paper describes the man machine interface in the TDX-10 switching system currently being developed at ETRI. The man machine interface in TDX-10 provides a reliable and user-friendly system interface through which system operators can manage the system in a convenient way. It incorporates the window, menu, form, on-line help, history recording, command file batching and color graphics capabilities.

As a basic study for Man-Machine interfacing technics, this paper purposed the vertorization of EOG(electrooculogram) that is generated by eye movement. EOG is electric potential difference between the positive potential of cornea and the negative potential of retina. The magnitude and the polarity are depend on the direction of eye movement and degree of gaze angle. In order to vectorize EOG, EOG signal is measured about vertical and horizontal movement of eyes. This vectorization of EOG is expected to help Man-Machine Interfacing technics and development of other useful equipment.

This paper proposes the method for the man power forecasting and performs mid-term(1994-1998) forecasting of telematics man power demands in Korea. Telematics technology has been selected as '839 New IT Growth Engine' by Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC) of Korean Government to boost Korean IT industry for the next 10 years. In order to meet the man power requirement in this telematics industry, accurate forecasting of the man power demand is necessary. The procedures for the forecasting includes study of man power forecasting models, deriving market size of the telematics industry, perform labor productivity analysis, derive the man power structure by the types of the work forces by the types of telematics industry, and finally derive annual man power demands by the worker types and the telematics industry types.

The objectives of this study were to investigate some problems related to health and to identify citizen's needs related to nutrition education program. The data were analyzed by using $x^2$-test, t-test, ANOVA and multiple range test. The food habits score was 70.0 of 100. The score of man was 69.0, while that of woman was 72.6. Since woman's food habit was better than man, education to man is more needed. Man's BMI was 22.5 and that of woman was 21.4. W/H ratio of man was 0.85 and that of woman was 0.80. BMI and W/H ratio increased as age increases. Systolic blood pressure was 123.5mmHg and diastolic blood pressure was 83.2mmHg. All age groups need the education of blood pressure control. Since subjects who did regular exercise were only 26.3%, these community people needed more regular exercise, specially woman. It turned out that subjects were afraid of cancer, hypertension, cerebral vascular diseases which are related with food habits. The disease or symptom having the highest mobility were dental disease, gastroenteric disorder, headache and constipation. They asked for counselling about health, diet therapy, protection methods of disease and menu planning etc. The program of education for health and good food habits should be developed according to subjects's age, sex, education etc. These results showed primary needs on the curriculum of citizen's education program for enhancing health. In addition, we suggest the research on the practical curriculum of nutrition education program.

Sildenafil citrate ($Viagra^{(R)}$ Pfeizer US Pharmaceutical Group, New York, NY, USA) is a potent vasodilating agent to treat male erectile dysfunction. Among its adverse effects, hemorrhagic stroke has not been widely reported yet. We present a case of a 33-year-old healthy man who ingested 50 mg sildenafil a half hour before onset of headache, nervousness and speech disturbance. Head computed tomogram of this stuporous man showed huge intracerebral hemorrhage and thick subarachnoid hemorrhage, but angiography failed to disclose any vascular anomalies. Subsequent surgical procedure was followed, and rehabilitation was provided thereafter. Sildenafil seems to act by redistributing arterial blood flow, and concurrent sympathetic hyperactivity, which lead to such hemorrhagic presentation. Extreme caution should be paid on even in a young adult male patient wven without known risk factors.

Background : IFN-${\gamma}$ is the main effector mediator of the host immune response against Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Evaluating the IFN-${\gamma}$ gene expression in response to M. tuberculosis antigens may help in elucidating the host defense mechanism against M. tuberculosis and in the development of a vaccine. Methods : The IFN-${\gamma}$ mRNA expression in the lymphocytes obtained from pleural effusions from tuberculous pleurisy patients (TB-PLC) after in vitro stimulation with whole cell M. tuberculosis(H37Rv), purified protein derivatives(PPD), man-lipoarabinamman (man-LAM), ara-LAM and Antigen 85B(Ag85B) were evaluated. The degree of IFN-${\gamma}$ mRNA expression was determined by a semiquantitative reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) method. Results : M. tuberculosis induced the expression of IFN-${\gamma}$ mRNA in the TB-PLC in time and dose dependent manners. The PPD and Ag85B induced high levels of IFN-${\gamma}$ mRNA expression in the TB-PLC. However, man-LAM inhibited IFN-${\gamma}$ mRNA expression in the TB-PLC, while ara-LAM did not. Conclusion : IFN-${\gamma}$ mRNA expression in TB-PLC is stimulated by PPD and Ag85B, but inhibited by man-LAM.
