조선 산학에서 다항방정식의 해볍에 가장 큰 영향을 준 것은 ${\ll}$양휘산법(楊輝算法)${\gg}$의 전무비유승제첩법(田畝比類乘除捷法)에 인용된 유익(劉益)의 ${\ll}$의고근원(議古根源)${\gg}$에 들어있는 개방술(開方術)이다. 이 논문은 ${\ll}$양휘산법(楊輝算法)${\gg}$에 설명되어 있는 개방술(開方術)을 조사하여 증승개방법(增乘開方法)은 조립제법과 관계없이 이항식$(y+{\alpha})^n$을 전개하는 과정에서 이루어진 것을 밝혀낸다. 이어서 ${\ll}$양휘산법(楊輝算法)${\gg}$을 연구한 홍정하(洪正夏)(1684~?)가 그의 ${\ll}$구일집(九一集)${\gg}$에서 유익(劉益)-양휘(楊輝)와 ${\ll}$산학계몽(算學啓蒙)${\gg}$의 결과를 확장하여 증승개방법(增乘開方法)을 완벽하게 정리한 것을 밝혀낸다.

Objectives : The Jap Byoung(雜病) of the Young Chu(靈樞), one of the classical book of oriental medicine contains symptoms and remedies for various diseases that can be seen on human body. But it is too difficult to understand the Jap Byoung(雜病), because it is written in old chinese and there are many printer's error and omissions or adds in this book. As a consequence of above reason, the writer of this article has researched to find out the exact meaning of that. Methods : So in this part we study a woodblock-printed book of successive generation and view of annotators, and add adding notes, adjustment, translation to exact comprehension of the original text. Results & conclusions : The principle ideas of the thesis can be summarized as follows: The Jap Byoung(雜病) is consist of five part. In chapter 1, we present symptoms occurred by the upstream current of Qi(氣逆) and their treatments by taking meridian flowing the body parts on which the symptoms occur. In chapter 2, we deal with symptoms such as ikgun(?乾), a pain of the knee(膝中痛), huby(喉痺), epistaxis(?血), lumbago(腰痛), anger(怒), a pain of the jaw(痛), a pain of the nape(項痛) and their remedies. In chapter 3, since abdominal inflation occurs when the Qi(氣) of the five viscera(五臟) is damaged or go upstream, I discussed that the treatment should be given by taking the meridian accordingly. In chapter 4, we deal with the remedy for heartache, and different meridians to be taken by symptom, and parts on which needle to be used, and detailed remedies. In chapter 5, we present other diseases, detailed body parts to be cured and remedies by referring symptoms for a pain of the jaw(痛), the upstream current of Qi(氣逆), hiccup, etc. Especially, we introduce a part of Doinbup(導引法) for wegurl(?厥) and remedies for hiccup such as inducing sneeze by stimulating nostrils, holding one's breath, etc.

Seven vegetables were planted in green houses to compare their yields and damages by insect pests based on three treatments, green music (GM), ultra sonic (US) and control. The vegetable yields of GM treatment were increased by an average of 17.81% than that of control for two years. There was a remarkable statistic difference in the yield between GM and respective controls such as radish, young radish, cucumber, spinach and Brassica oleracea var. acephala. There was no notable yield difference between US and controls for the semen vegetables within two years. The population densities of the insect pests in GM and US treatments were lower than controls. Only a few insect pests of some vegetables in GM and US treatments injured more seriously than in control.

The coating and estimation of gas and moisture barriers on polymer and glass substrates are receiving very much attention in passivation of organic light emitting devices (OLEDs). In this study, the encapsulation and lifetime measurement techniques of OLEDs were presented. The degradation mechanisms of bare and encapsulated OLEDs were investigated by the visual lifetime measurement (VLM) system with the parameters such as a pixel luminance(L), a luminance rms roughness(dL), a brightness area ratio(R), an edge degradation depth(D), etc.

A novel coil gun type actuator has been proposed and tested for its possibility as an actuator for a high voltage circuit breaker by experimental method. The 20kJ capacitor bank with the electrolytic condensers was charged up to 500V and discharged to a couple of 100 turn coils connected with parallel through a thyristor switch. The repulsive force between coil and the actuator made by copper conductor of 20kg reached up to 23,000 N, and over 800J of energy was transferred to the kinetic energy of the conductor. The experimental results showed that the coil gun type actuator has a good possibility for the high voltage circuit breaker.

The larvae of Balanus improvisus were reared in the laboratory from hatching to cyprid. Larval development consists of six nauplius stages and a cyprid. Morphological features of all the nauplius stages are illustrated and described.

We have fabricated a high electron source from carbon nanotubes (CNTs) using hot-press method. Using hot-press method, we are able to control the tube density and the morphology of CNT films. We propose that the high emission current is due to the solid adhesion between the CNTs and substrates and uniform morphology of CNT film.

Purpose. The purpose of the study was to identify the mediating effects of nursing competency between transformational leadership and organizational commitment of nurses in hospitals. Method. Data were collected from 204 nurses in 3 hospitals and analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson' correlation coefficient, and hierarchial multiple regression with the PASW 21.0. Results. There were positive relationships among all three variables, transformational leadership, nursing competency and organizational commitment. There was a mediating effect of nursing competency between transformational leadership and organizational commitment. Conclusion. The results of the study indicate that strategies which could enhance the nursing competency of nurses should be developed by mangers in hospitals. Further study is needed on other factors which may influence nurses' nursing competency and organizational commitment especially in hospitals.
