  • 1. "GuGeupGanIBang(救急簡易方)" is a Korean annotation emergency treatment book made by scholars that were learned in medicine such as Naeuiwon(內醫院) head Yoo n Ho(尹壕) Seo Ha gun(西河君) Im Won jun(任元濬) GongJoChamPan(工曹參判) Park An sung(朴安性) Hanseongbu Jwayun(漢城府左尹) Gwon Geon(權健) SungRokDaeBuHaengByeongJoPanSeo(崇祿大夫行兵曹判書) YangCheonGun(陽川君) Heo Jong(許琮) following instructions of King Sungjong. This book was made by supplementing "EiBangRyuChwi(醫方類聚)", "HyangYakJeSengBang(鄕藥濟生方)" and "GuGeupBang(救急方)". When Yoon Ho presented it the king in May 1489(the 20th year of Sungjong), the king made the governors of each province publish it in large numbers, allowing common people to have this book and find the treatment immediately and save lives. 2. "GuGeupGanIBang(救急簡易方)" consists of 8 volumes, 127 chapters. Contents on stroke is the largest section. Separate chapters for gynecology and pediatrics let children that are easily ill and women that cannot get treatment freely be taken care of. It is an first aid medical book covering all ages, fulfilling its original purpose.

  • This study is to observe the occurrence of heterotrophic bacteria in terms of free chlorine residuals in two different water distribution system which belongs to both K and Y water treatment plant of S city of Korea. The data analyzing in distribution systems (DS) shows that the free chlorine residuals decrease from 0.10 to 0.56 mgmg/L for K, and 0.51 to 0.78 mg/L for Y. The decay of free chlorine is clearly higher in both March and August than those of in January. The HPC in DS are ranged from 0 to 40 CFU/mL for K, 0 to 270 CFU/mL for Y, on R2A medium. In particular, its level is relatively high at consumers ground storage tanks, taps and point-of-end area of Y. The predominant genera is studied in distribution systems are Acinetobacter, Sphingomonas (branch of Pseudomonas), Micrococcus, Bacillus, Staphylococcus. The diversity of heterotrophic bacteria increase in the end-point area. Most of them are either encapsulated cells or cocci of gram-positve. In conclusion, the point-of-end area in distribution systems shows the longer flow distance from water treatment plants, the greater diversity and higher level of heterotrophic bacteria due to the significant decay of free chlorine residuals.

  • Triplet Ionospheric Observatory (TRIO) CubeSatforIon, Neutral, Electron MAgneticfields (CINEMA) is a CubeSat with the weight 3 kg that will be operated in the orbit conditions of about 800 km altitude and $90^{\circ}$ inclination angle, using the S-band and ultra-high frequency (UHF)-band communication frequencies. Regarding the communication antenna loaded on the satellite, the two patch antennas has the downlink function in the S-band, whereas the two whip antennas has the function to receive the command sent by the ground station to the satellite in the UHF-band. The uplink ground station that communicates through the UHF-band with the CINEMA satellite was established at Kyung Hee University. The system is mainly composed of a terminal node controller, a transceiver, and a helical antenna. The gain of the helical antenna established at the Kyung Hee University ground station was 9.8 dBi. The output of the transceiver was set to be 5 W (6.9 dB) for the communication test. Through the far-field test of the established system, it was verified that the Roman characters, figures and symbols were converted into packets and transmitted to the satellite receiver in the communication speed of 9,600 bps.

  • Carbon monoxide (CO) is a gaseous molecule produced from heme by heme oxygenase (HO). Endogenous CO production occurring at low concentrations is thought to have several useful biological roles. In mammals, especially humans, a proper neurovascular unit comprising endothelial cells, pericytes, astrocytes, microglia, and neurons is essential for the homeostasis and survival of the central nervous system (CNS). In addition, the regeneration of neurovascular systems from neural stem cells and endothelial precursor cells after CNS diseases is responsible for functional repair. This review focused on the possible role of CO/HO in the neurovascular unit in terms of neurogenesis, angiogenesis, and synaptic plasticity, ultimately leading to behavioral changes in CNS diseases. CO/HO may also enhance cellular networks among endothelial cells, pericytes, astrocytes, and neural stem cells. This review highlights the therapeutic effects of CO/HO on CNS diseases involved in neurogenesis, synaptic plasticity, and angiogenesis. Moreover, the cellular mechanisms and interactions by which CO/HO are exploited for disease prevention and their therapeutic applications in traumatic brain injury, Alzheimer's disease, and stroke are also discussed.

  • Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(PMSM) has merits in both simple electrical controllability of dc motor and mechanical reliability of ac motor by applying vector control. The vector control method orients the armature current phasor to be perpendicular to the permenant magnet rotor flux in a two-axis coordinate frame, and provides control characteristics that are similar to those of separately excited dc motors. This paper presents a simple model following scheme for position control of PMSM fed by hysteresis current-controlled PWM inverter. The simulation results show the validity of the proposed control method.
