Art theorists support art productions by, introducing them to the public, explaining their meanings, and playing a crucial part in the development of art. These tasks seem like their opus. Because the principles of art production and the artistic languages are quite different from the ordinaries, we need 'interpreters' who can mediate us and the artists. Art works need interpretation. And the interpretation includes not only the characteristics of the given art work, but the customs, history, and the unique qualities of the race that produced the art work. The former director of the Korean National Museum, Choi Soon-woo wrote on the characteristics of Korean art as those that stem from the poised, arbitrary, and non-elaborate state of mind. The statement of the former Director of the National Museum has its weight far greater than just a personal opinion. In fact, we encounter the same resonance of this statement over and over reproduced in the mass media. The problem lies on that it deals with not only a single art work, but the entire Korean art. And going further, this kind of remarks are already infused into every sector of our thought on art appreciation. In this paper, I argue for a re-reading of the characteristics of Korean beauty based on two reasons. First, the characteristic of art work is contemporary, thus we cannot define the characteristics of entire Korean art in a few words without the context of the period of its making. Second, Director Choi defined the characteristics that I pointed out above as 'natural' and 'nature-friendly.' Nature or being natural is not an usual word that defines the characteristics of art work, which stands for the opposite side of the nature in the binary opposition of nature/culture. To delve into these misunderstandings of Korean beauty in the popular notions of Korean art, I suggest the re-reading of three major articles on Korean art: Ryoo Jong-yeol's "Korean race and its art," Ko You-seup's reiteration of Ryoo's thesis called "Discourses in Korean Art History and Aesthetics," and Yoon Hee-soon's antithesis of Ryoo Jong-yeol titiled "Studies on Korean Art History."

There are several methods determining an appropriate performance grade of virgin binder, which is re(erred as design binder, in RAP contained bituminous mixture design process. However, difficulties have been experienced in utilizing the methods in the field application in Korea, because SHRP binder test, the key tests to determine a design binder, requires well-trained personnel, high price equipment, and time consuming process. Thus, the study investigated the relationship among the binder aging level, RAP contents, and rheologica1 properties of binder. The study results provide mix designer with a simple method in selecting an appropriate grade of virgin binder.

This paper introduces an automatic voice classification system for the diagnosis of individual constitution based on Sasang Constitutional Medicine (SCM) in Traditional Korean Medicine (TKM). For the developing of this algorithm, we used the voices of 473 speakers and extracted a total of 144 speech features from the speech data consisting of five sustained vowels and one sentence. The classification system, based on a rule-based algorithm that is derived from a non parametric statistical method, presents binary negative decisions. In conclusion, 55.7% of the speech data were diagnosed by this system, of which 72.8% were correct negative decisions.

본 논문에서는 의사 분산 트리를 이용하여 효율적으로 후보 실체 뷰를 선택하는 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 기법은 후보 실체 뷰의 이득, 실체화 크기, 그리고 갱신율을 고려하여 의사 결정 트리로 구축한다. 의사 결정 트리를 이용하여 효율이 높은 후보 실체 뷰의 선택 및 빠른 교체 수행을 목적으로 한다.

This study is concerned with the VS shear reinforcement that it can be installed easily in filed as product at the factory and seismic performance can be achieved. The method of study is as follows. first, we researched constructability and economy of existing construction method. Secondly, we made specimen and were examined structural performance tests in order to verify the performance of the shear reinforcement for lateral force like seismic load. As a result, developed VS shear reinforcement increased in shear strength and stiffness of reinforcement, structural safety is judged to be increased.

Objectives : This study aims to research the effect of oriental psychotherapy and treatments for reduction of Psychosomatic disorder symptoms caused by maladjustment of interpersonal relationship. Methods : We treat a patient with Oriental medical treatment (acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping and aroma therapy, oriental psychotherapy and Herb-medication) and follow up the changes of stress index for 3 times per 8 days. Results & Conclusions : After oriental psychotherapy and treatments, clinical symptoms of the patient were improved and the patient overcoming psychosomatic disorder can go back to the workplace. It is suggested that oriental psychotherapy and treatments are effective on psychosomatic disorder.
