  • Railroad a field of basic industries in Korea had developed as representative transportation means in the interior. But since the 1970s, its transport requirement decrease had influenced in reduced earning. Thus railroad try to find a various subsidiary earning creations. Among the various subsidiary earning creations, a plan of privately financed station buildings is constructing and using. For the mean time the privately financed station have been constructed by in a narrow sensible development. But now like a Yongsan areas surrounding stations development, comprehensive development think over surrounding stations in a wide sensible development. Dae Jaen Station the traffic center of the south part in Seoul had been constructed by privately financed station of Lotte Shopping Co.

Yeongdeungpo Station constructed station building is a successful example for profitable. The successful instance of Yeongdeungpo privately financed station investigates and devises comprehensive development as thinking over surrounding stations for more and more benefits.

  • Since the first underground transmission line of Korea was installed between Danginri and Yongsan substations in 1974, the two types of underground transmission power cables, oil-filled and XLPE, have been applied for underground transmission lines. As the manufacturing technologies of XLPE cable have been improved and the simplicity of installation and maintenance has been focused on, the installations of XLPE cables have been largely increased since the mid 1990's. For the first time, in Korea, the 345kV XLPE cable was installed between Youngseo and Youngdeungpo substations in 2003, June. So, this paper introduces the project profile, the design of cable and its accessory, the cable system design, installation and site test.

The Effect of Added Shiitake Mushroom on Antioxidative Activity of Puffer Fish Stock (표고버섯 첨가가 복어육수의 항산화 활성에 미치는 영향)

  • This research aimed to improve the healthy properties of puffer fish broth, which has been utilized in Korean and Japanese food. Various healthy foods such as garlic, onion, mushroom, and cauliflower were added as ingredients to pufffer fish stock, and the antioxidative activity of each stock was measured by assaying the DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging activities, reducing power and amount of polyphenol. Shiitake was the most effective in increasing the antioxidative activity of puffer fish stock. The high antioxidative activity of shiitake mushroom seems to be correlated with the amount of polyphenol content in puffer fish broth. The antioxidant activities of puffer fish stock increased proportionally with increasing amount of added shiitake, which in turn was due to the increased amount of total polyphenol in the stock.

  • Background : Pulmonary vascular changes which occur early in the course of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) are prevalent manifestation and later cause pulmonary hypertension, which is a bad prognostic factor in COPD. Beraprost sodium (BPS), an orally active prostacyclin analogue, has been shown to improve survival in patients with primary pulmonary hypertension. This study investigated the effect of BPS in the patients with COPD. Methods : This is a double-blind randomized placebo-controlled, two center clinical trial. Twenty one consecutive patients with COPD were enrolled from June 2003 to June 2004 (patients treated with BPS for 3 months, BPS group, n=11; those with placebo, placebo group, n=10). The baseline demographic, pulmonary function and hemodynamic data were not significantly different between two groups. Results : On echocardiographic examination, trans tricuspid valve pressure gradient has decreased significantly after 3 months with beraprost in the BPS group [17.7(${\pm}11.4$) to 8.2(${\pm}8.9$) mm Hg, p-value<0.05], while there was no significant change in the control group. Six-minute walking distance has decreased in the control group and increased in the BPS group, but there was no statistical significance. Conclusion : In patients with COPD oral administration of BPS reduced the pulmonary arterial pressure. The clinical significance of this finding, that is improving symptoms and natural course of the disease, needs further study.

  • 매년 영산강 본류 수질이 악화되고 있는 영산강 유역주변은 최근 전남도청 이전에 따른 남악 신도시개발, J-Project 및 환경 문화 복원사업의 추진, 기업도시개발등과 관련하여 수질관리개선 및 주요환경현안으로 대두되고 있다. 따라서 영산강 하구역 관리방안 중 담수호 수질개선대책의 일환으로 수문개방을 통한 해수 유입에 의한 수질 개선을 효과를 도모하는 방안이 제시되고 있다. 이에 하구호 방조제의 수문 개통 및 완전 개방에 따른 수질개선 문제에 앞서 발생할 수 있는 환경변화 중 영산강 및 연안역 염분의 확산범위를 평가하기 위하여 수치모형 실험이 실시되었다. 담수 유입에 따른 염분 확산 범위 및 해수 유입에 따른 염분의 역상 범위를 평가 하기위해 수치 모델로는 EFDC를 적용하였고, 하천형상과 연안역을 동시에 고려하기 위해 수평좌표계는 직교곡선좌표로 격자 크기는 $120{\sim}1000m$, 연직방향으로 시그마좌표를 사용하였다. 담수 방류 및 염분역상 효과를 알아보기 위해 1997년부터 2005년까지의 하구 수문 방류량 및 하천 유입량으로부터 홍수기와 갈수기를 선택하여 현재 상황 및 수문의 부분 개통 하구둑 완전 개방에 시나리오를 설정하여 실시하였다. 수문의 부분개통과 하구둑 완전 개방에 따른 염분 확산 범위는 영산강 하구둑을 기준으로 홍수기에는 $13{\sim}17km$, 갈수기에는 36km 이상의 상류지역에서 해수와 담수의 분리 기준인 0.3 psu 범위가 계산됨을 알 수 있다.

  • The widening national capital area of Korea has caused a traffic jam problem with increasing commuting hours. In addition, as the economic crisis goes on, the people moving to the outside of a city has increased. So we expect that the expansion of this metropolitan area will do grow and it will cause a more severe traffic jam in the near future. Therefore, We will study about 'Rapid Railroad Operation in Metropolitan Area' to solve this problem and improve rail's competitive power as a reasonable transportation method. The Rapid Railroad can sharply reduce commuting hours. Also, it is more eco-friendly transportation than the others. Through many cases revealed in both domestics and overseas, we will solve the problem of a traffic jam getting senous m metropolitan area. After studying successful cases of overseas, rapid railroad, such as France and Japan, we will study domestic cases of Yongsan$\sim$Dong-inchoen, Guro$\sim$Cheonan and Gaehwa$\sim$Sin-nonhyeon, and comparison will do made among these case. In conclusion, The introduction of Rapid Railroad show the effective plan for strengthen the competitiveness and solve the traffic problem.

  • Offer of medical treatment service for recovery or preservation of physical spiritual function of elderly people by sudden population graying developing is essential. Therefore, according to increase of elderly's medical treatment demand, medical treatment service request is augmented. Number of medical treatment service utilization wishes to grope medical treatment service support way for elderly residing cloth elevation laying stress on elderly's Aging in Place in increase trend in this research. If decide, is as following : First, national hospital and public health center were concentrated most on Seoul and kyonggi, and there were many hospitals to south of a river nine, Songpagu, Seochogu, and public health center was expose that is one by one to each nine. Second, in the case of Seoul, elderly population ratio was expose that comparatively high Yeongdeungpo, Chongno, Yongsan, west passage nine is few hospital number relatively in elderly's residential area. Third, need that establish elderly full text clinic on part of general hospital or university hospital equipment. Fourth, must do so that can use access as is easy little more in local community to all elderly who need medical treatment service of visit nursing, visit medical examination and treatment etc.. that consist in present public health center.

  • Hedgehog (Hh) pathway plays a key role in development from invertebrate to vertebrate. It is known to be involved in cell differentiation, polarity, proliferation, including the development of vertebrate limb and the establishment of flies' body plan. To investigate how the regulation of Hh pathway affects the development of parthenogenetic murine embryos, the parthenogenetically activated murine embryos were treated with either cyclopamine (Cyc), an antagonist of Hh pathway, or purmorphamine, an agonist of Hh pathway. While Cyc did not affect the blastocyst formation and its total cell number, the chemical reduced the hatching rate of embryos and the expression levels of Fn1 mRNA. The results of the present study show the possibility that Cyc may affect the development of embryos at blastocyst stage by blocking Hh pathway and this may cause detrimental effect to the embryos at peri-, and post-implantation stages.

A Study on the Operational Efficiency of UAM(Urban Aerial Mobility)s (도심항공모빌리티의 운용효율성에 관한 연구)

  • Prototype UAMs are shown to us in the market. When the complete product is delivered to market, the efficiency of each UAMs can be compared by default. Before the complete product is shown to us, the comparative study on efficiency of UAMs is performed under the product cost estimation. The efficiency analysis result reveals that both of Lift & Cruise type and vectored thrust type show good efficiency at the initial stage of product. At the near terms stage, five years later from initial stage end, efficiency gets some change. Vectored thrust type of UAMs show best efficiency at the near term stage of product. Because UAMs will be used in urban area, Seoul is the place where the UAMs will be used first. The flying route from Seoul City Hall to Yongsan Park, National Assembly in Yeouido, and City Airport is no more than 10 km distance. For this short distance route, efficiency will make multi-rotor type UAM be prefered to other types. For long distance route or commuting route, life & cruise type and vectored thrust type of UAMs will be prefered on account of operational efficiency.
