Research on Increasing the Production Yield Rate by Six Sigma Method : A Case of SMT Process of Main Board

  • Face the process yield rate improvements of motherboard, although general enterprises finish deployment goal of each functions by overall quality managements, through quality improvement methods, industry engineering methods, plan-do-check-act (PDCA) methods and other improvement solutions, but it is only can be improved partially and unable to enhance the yield rate of product to the target. It only can takes one step ahead to enhance the process yield rate of motherboard with six sigma ($6{\sigma}$) overall DMAIC process and tactics. This research aimed to use six sigma quality improvement tactics by DMAIC systematic procedure and tactics, and find the key factors that effect to the process yield rate of surface mount technology. It also identified the keys input and process and output index to satisfy customer requirements and internal process index. The results showed that the major effective factors by fishbone and process failure modes and effects analysis (PFMEA). If the index of input and output that can be quantified, the optimum parameter can be found through design of experiment to ensure that the process is stable. If the factor of input and output that cannot be quantified, we found out the effective countermeasure by Mind_Mapping, make sure whole processes can be controlled stably, to reach the high product quality and enhance the customer satisfaction.

A Dimensionless Index for Quantitative Evaluation of Apple Freshness

  • Though the freshness for agricultural products is an important factor related to their quality management, this terminology is being used restrictedly because it is very subjective. In this study, a dimensionless index which had the span of the maximum of 1 through the minimum of 0 was proposed to describe freshness of the product with time-variant quality and was applied to Tsugaru and Fuji apples. First, the compressive properties having the linearity in their change regarding time elapsed after harvest were selected. For Tsugaru apple, bio-yield and rupture forces had high correlation with time while for Fuji, bio-yield and rupture deformations had high correlations. When the slope, or ratio of force to deformation, was considered, the effect of cultivar could be neglected. When the linearly time-variant compressive properties for Tsugaru and Fuji apples were involved in the freshness indices, they described well freshness of apples. Also, the freshness decay constant depicted a characteristic which related to freshness decay rate. Therefore, the freshness index can be utilized to manage the quality during storage and distribution of apples.

동일비료 장기시용이 벼 수량과 토양의 화학성분에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Long-Term Fertilization on Rice Yield and Soil Chemical Properties in the Mid-Plain of Korea)

  • 1978년부터 2008년까지 31년간 국립식량과학원 수원소재 답작시험포장에서 동일 비료 장기연용의 의한 벼의 수량과 토양의 화학성에 미치는 영향을 시험한 결과는 다음과 같았다. 1. 비료 연용처리에 따른 쌀 수량은 무비<무질소(PK)<무인산<(NK)<무칼리(NP) $\leq$ 3요소(NPK) $\leq$ 석회(NPKL)<생고(NPKS)$\leq$퇴비(NPKC) 순으로 높았다. 2. 3요소(NPK)대비 수량지수는 무비구가 0.52로 가장 낮았으며, NPKS와 NPKC가 각각 1.11, 1.18로 NPK보다 높았다. PK, NK, NP는 각각 0.61, 0.86, 0.98로 3요소 중 질소가 수량에 미치는 영향이 가장 컸으며 칼리의 영향이 가장 낮았다. NPKL은 NPK와 수량지수의 차이가 없었다. 3. NPKC는 기간이 경과할수록 수량과 수량지수가 모두 증가하였으며, NK와 F0의 수량지수는 감소하는 경향이었으나 유의성은 없었다. 그 외 PK, NK, NP, NPK, NPKS, NPKL의 수량지수는 모두 기간에 따른 변동이 없었다. 4. 토양의 유기물 함량은 NPKC는 적정유기물함량 수준인 2.5%까지 증가하였으나, NPKS는 1.8%에서 이들을 제외한 다른 처리는 1.3~1.4%로 초기와 차이가 없었다. 5. 토양의 유효인산 함량은 모든 인산 처리구에서 증가하였으며 특히 무질소구와 퇴비구에서 가장 높았다. 6. 석회처리구를 장기연용할 경우 토양 pH가 7.9까지 증가하여 논토양의 적정 산도보다 높아졌다.

버어리종 잎담배의 수량, 품질 및 이화학성에 미치는 포지비옥도, 품종 및 질소시용량의 영향 (EFFECTS OF FIELD PRODUCTIVITY, VARIETY AND NITROGEN RATE ON THE YIELD, QUALITY AND PHYSICO-CHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF BURLEY TOBACCO)

  • A field experiment was conducted to find out the effects of field productivity, variety and nitrogen rate on the yield, quality, chemical constituents and physical properties of burley cured leaf in three field with different productivity(Degree of field productivity: A ; high, B ; medium, C : low) during successive two years(1988~89). The yield and quality were remarkably lowered when nitrogen fertilizer being applied much in low productive field. As compared with Burley 21, KB101 showed high yield, particularly the yield of KB101 in low productive field was relatively high. The effect of nitrogen rate on the yield was somewhat different according to field productivity and production year. When the nitrogen fertilizer being applied above 22.5kg/10a, the added nitrogen had no effect on the yield. Total nitrogen content of cured leaf grown in low productive field was high while total alkaloid was low, therefore total alkaloid/total nitrogen ratio was remarkably low. The lightness, red and yellow color of cured leaf grown in low productive field was remarkably low. As compared with Burley 21, the contents of total alkaloid and total nitrogen and shatter resistance index of cured leaf was somewhat low, while the filling power, lightness, red and yellow color were slightly high. Total nitrogen content of cured leaf was increased remarkably by nitrogen addition, but total alkaloid was not increased though the nitrogen fertilizer being applied above 22.5kg/10a. The filling power and shatter resistance index of cured leaf grown in high nitrogen plot, and the lightness and yellow color were low while the red color was relatively high. It comes into question that the visual quality being increased as well as increment of yield and nitrogenous compounds by nitrogen addition in high productive field. In low productive field, it is considerable that nitrogen addition for high yield should be prohibited because it causes the decrement of yield and quality, on the contrary.

  • 고분자 물질의 화재 위험성 및 화재시 인명 피해의 감소를 위한 기초자료로 제시하고자 점토질의 첨가에 의한 난연성 평가를 수행하였다. 본 연구에서는 에폭시 수지의 난연성 향상과 연기의 발생량을 감소시키기 위하여 점토질의 montmorillonite(MMT)와 같은 천연 물질을 삽입하여 연소 특성을 살펴보았다. 이 연구를 위하여 한계산소지수(limiting oxygen index, LOI), 탄화층 생성량(char yield), 연기 밀도(smoke density) 측정 둥의 난연성 실험을 실시하였다. Epoxy/MMT의 복합재료는 MMT의 농도가 증가할수록 한계산소지수 및 탄화층 생성량이 증가하여 난연성이 향상되었으나 연기 밀도는 오히려 증가하는 결과를 나타내었다.

Effect of Cotton Leaf Mosaic Disease on Morphology, Yield and Fibre Characteristics of Upland Cotton in Pakistan

  • The effect of cotton leaf mosaic disease on morphology, yield and fibre characteristics was examined for a susceptible cotton candidate variety CRIS-168. Plants inoculated at most susceptible growth stage (six week) under screen house showed severe mosaic symptoms. There was a significant reduction in plant height and yield. Cotton leaf mosaic disease was found to produce severe effects on plant morphology with 24.1% reduction in plant height, 25% in internode length and 37.5% in number of sympodia on main stem. However no changes were observed against number of monopodial branches per plant. Inoculated plants showed 82% decrease in yield/plant, 80% in number of boll set/ plant, 12.1% in boll weight, 12.8% in lint weight, 10.8% in seed weight, and 6.8% in seed index. Cotton leaf mosaic disease also showed effects on fibre characteristics with 0.8% decrease in GOT and 1.6% in fibre length. In contrast, uniformity ratio, fibre fineness and maturity index was increased by 20.5%, 14.4% and 0.9%, respectively.

중국 동북3성에서의 옥수수 수확량과 위성기반의 식생 지수 및 농업기후요소와의 상관성 연구 (Correlation between the Maize Yield and Satellite-based Vegetation Index and Agricultural Climate Factors in the Three Provinces of Northeast China)

  • 본 연구에서는 지난 20년간(1996~2015) 중국 동북 3성에서의 옥수수 수확량과 위성기반 식생지수인 NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) 그리고 여러 기후요소들간의 월별 상관성을 분석하고자 하였다. 중국 동북 3성의 옥수수 재배지역에서 옥수수 수확량은 작황시기의 NDVI와 통계적으로 유의한 양의 상관관계를 보였고, 8월과 9월의 최고기온 및 여름철 $30^{\circ}C$ 이상의 고온 발생빈도와 음을 상관관계를 가졌다. 옥수수 수확량과 강수량간의 상관관계는 7월에 요녕성에서만 유의한 양의 계수를 나타내었고 길림성과 흑룡강성에서는 상관성이 나타나지 않았다. 본 연구를 통해 중국 동북 3성의 옥수수 수확량을 추정하기 위해서는 NDVI와 최고기온 자료를 예측인자로 사용하는 것이 적합할 것으로 생각된다.

숙성기간에 따른 재래 고추장의 유동성 변화 (Flow Properties of Traditional Kochujang : Effect of Fermentation Time)

  • Flow properties of traditional kochujang at various fermentation times(0~12 weeks) were determined with rotational cylindrical(RC) and serrated plate plate(PP) viscometer. Magnitudes of consistency index(K) of power law model and Cassson parameters(yield stress and viscosity) measured by PP viscometer were higher than those using RC viscometer. All kochujang samples during fermentation were much shear thinning with values of flow behavior index(n) as low as 0.2~0.34. K value and Casson yield stress measured by PP viscometer had good correlations(r=0.94; r=0.91) with fermentation time. No significant changes in flow model parameters measured by RC viscometer were observed for kochu jang during fermentation. Magnitudes of flow model parameters measured by PP viscometer more closely correlated with fermantation times of kochujang than did RC viscometer.

덕산온천 지역의 수리적 성질 (Hydraulic Properties of Duksan Hot-spring Area)

  • 본 연구는 덕산온천내에 수행된 28개 양수시험자료를 종합하여 덕산온천의 수리적 특성 및 매개변수를 파악하였다. 프락탈 모델, 누수성 프락탈 모델 그리고 정상류의 이중공극 프락탈 모델을 이용한 양수시험분석 결과, 대체로 온천의 중심부에서는 1.9 또는 2.0의 유동차원을 보이며, 주변부에서는 1.5∼l.7의 유동차원을 보인다. 2.0차원의 경우에, 투수량계수와 대수층 손실에 의한 산출계수의 상관성이 총 수위강하를 이용한 비양수량의 상관성보다 훨씬 높게 나타난다. 그러나, 1.9차원의 경우에는 일반화 투수량계수와 산출계수간의 상관성이 일반화 투수량계수와 비양수량간의 상관성과 비슷하게 나타나며 상관계수도 높게 나타난다.

Long-term Effects of Chemical Fertilizer and Compost Applications on Yield of Red Pepper and Soil Chemical Properties

  • A field experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of long-term (21-year) fertilizer and compost treatments on the yield of red pepper and chemical properties in top-dong, Suwon. Six treatments were chosen for this work: No fertilization (No fert.), NPK fertilizers (NPK), NPK and compost (NPK+Compost), NP and compost (NP+Compost), NK and compost (NK+Compost), PK and compost (PK+Compost). The yield of red pepper for 21 years indicated the significant differences among the No fertilization, the PK+Compost, and other treatments. The relative yield index was 13% and 59% respectively, for the No fertilization and the PK+Compost if the average yield of red pepper for the NPK regards $20,048kg\;ha^{-1}$ as the yield index with 100%. Soil organic matter at the compost applied treatments significantly increased compared with the No fert. and the NPK. The average increase rates of soil organic matter by applying the compost ranged from 0.69 to $0.73g\;kg^{-1}\;yr^{-1}$. Available phosphate content in soil appeared the significant increase all treatments excluding the No fert. It is estimated that the available phosphate in soil was increased by $7.0mg\;kg^{-1}\;yr^{-1}$ by applying compost and $14.2mg\;kg^{-1}\;yr^{-1}$ by applying P fertilizer. Application of K fertilizer or the compost alone, the NPK, the NP+Compost, continuously caused soil K depletion whereas K fertilization plus the compost maintained at a constant level of exchangeable K. The results indicated that the addition of compost to NPK fertilizer is recommended for the maximum stable yield for red pepper and enhancement of organic matter though it is also needed for adjusting of P and K fertilization.
