석회시용량과 시용시기가 경작지 토양산도 변화와 잎담배 수량 및 품질에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Lime Amount and Application Time on Soil pH Change, Yield, and Quality of Leaf Tobacco)

  • This study was carried out to improve the tobacco field condition and to determine the effect of lime amount and application time on soil pH, yield, and quality of leaf tobacco. Lime was applied to the tobacco field by determined amounts according to different pH level. The changes of soil pH, growth of tobacco, yield, and quality of KF109 and Br21 tobacco were surveyed by time lapse. The target pH value in tobacco field soil can be reached at 6 weeks after lime application, and then the soil pH was lowered slightly after that time. The lime amount needed to reach target pH was decreased 40 % in the same tobacco field after 1 year. Though the initial growth rate of flue-cured tobacco in the field of pH 7.0 was lower than that of conventional tobacco field, the field of pH 7.0 showed the highest yield after the maximum growth stage. The quality of cured leaf tobacco in the field of pH 7.0 applied lime at spring season was slightly lowered compared with that in conventional. This results indicated that the best pH condition in tobacco field for the best tobacco growth was 6.5 and the proper time of lime application was fall season of previous year by application of the whole quantity.

농업용수 수질기준 T-N 항목 설정을 위한 벼생육 실험 (Experiments of Rice Cultivation for Establishment of Total Nitrogen(T-N) Item of Agricultural Water Standards)

  • The present water quality standards for agricultural were established without considering the effects of water quality on the safety, growth, yield and quality of crops. This study was carried out to investigate the effects of irrigation water quality on the growth, yield, and grain quality of rice, and to acquire basic knowledges to set up water quality standards for irrigation. The field and pot experiments were conducted with irrigation water that was previously adjusted four concentrations (control, 5, 10, 20 mg/L) and six concentrations (control, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 mg/L) by $NH_4NO_3$ solution and replicated three and four times with randomized block design, respectively. The results of this study showed that the inorganic nutrient of rice plant, rice protein contents and number of panicle tended to increase as the T-N concentration in irrigation water was increased. In addition, grain yield at T-N 10 mg/L and 20mg/L were significantly higher than the control at the field experiment. From the pot experiment at T-N 30 mg/L, the percentage of head rice was slightly lower due to the increase of green kernel and white belly/core kernel.

수요와 수율의 불확실성을 고려한 공급망 조정 (Supply Chain Coordination for Perishable Products under Yield and Demand Uncertainty: A Simulation Approach)

  • Purpose: This study developed a simulation model that incorporates the uncertainty of demand and yield to obtain optimized results for supply chain coordination within environmental constraints. The objective of this study is to examine whether yield management for perishable products can achieve the goal of supply chain coordination between a single buyer and a single supplier under a variety of environmental conditions. Methods: We investigated the efficiency of a revenue-sharing contract and a wholesale price contract by considering demand and yield uncertainty, profit maximizing ratio, and success ratio. The implications for environmental variation were derived through a comparative analysis between the wholesale price contract and the revenue-sharing contract. We performed Monte Carlo simulations to give us the results of an optimized supply chain within the environments defined by the experimental factors and parameters. Results: We found that a revised revenue-sharing contracting model was more efficient than the wholesale price contract model and allowed all members of the supply chain to achieve higher profits. First, as the demand variation (${\sigma}$) increased, the profit of the total supply chain increased. Second, as the revenue-sharing ratio (${\Phi}$) increased, the profits of the manufacturer gradually decreased, while the profits of the retailer gradually increased, and this change was linear. Third, as the quality of yield increased, the profits of suppliers appear to increased. At last, success rate was expressed as the profit increased in the revenue-sharing contract compared to the profit increase in the wholesale price contract. Conclusion: The managerial implications of the simulation findings are: (1) a strategic approach to demand and yield uncertainty helps in efficient resource utilization and improved supply chain performance, (2) a revenue-sharing contract amplifies the effect of yield uncertainty, and (3) revised revenue-sharing contracts fetch more profits for both buyers and suppliers in the supply chain.

인삼에 있어 단경 및 다경개체의 잠아형태별 수량 및 홍삼 품질 비교 (Comparison of Yield and Quality of Red Ginseng on Bud type of Single and Multiple stem Plant in Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer)

  • 인삼에 있어 다경 및 잠아 발생형태가 원료삼 및 홍삼 품질에 미치는 영향을 구명하고자 지하부 특성 및 품질요인을 조사하였다. 단경개체는 1-3개의 잠아를 갖는 형태이고 2경개체는 2-3개 그리고 3경개체는 3개의 잠아를 갖는 형태이었다. 또한 단경개체는 62.9% 그리고 2경 이상의 다경개체는 37.1%의 분포를 나타냈다. 원료삼의 등급은 단경개체에 비하여 다경개체가 될 수록 저하하였고 단경개체와 다경개체 모두 잠아수가 많은 개체에서 등급이 낮았다. 경수에 따른 홍삼수율은 대체로 30% 내외로 단경이나 다경개체간에 큰 차이가 없었다. 그러나 본삼수율은 다경개체로 갈수록 감소하는 경향이었다. 홍삼 등급은 다경개체에 비해 단경개체가 양호하였으며 다경개체는 양삼과 잡삼이 많았다. 그리고 잠아수가 많을수록 홍삼등급은 저하하였다.

질소 및 가리 시용량이 버어리종 잎담배의 수량 및 품질에 미치는 영향 (Influences of Nitrogen and Potassium Rates on Yield and Quality of Cured Leaf in Burley Tobacco)

  • 질소와 가리 시용량이 버어리종 잎담배(1988년; Burley 21, 1989년 ; Burley 21과 KB 101)의 생육, 수량 및 품질에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 질소 3수준(1988년 ; 17.5, 22.75, 28.0kg/10a, 1989년 ; 12.5, 17.5, 22.5kg/10a), 가리 3수준(1988년 ; 17.5, 35.0, 52.5kg/10a, 1989년 ; 25.0, 35.0, 45.0kg/10a)을 두어 포장에서 시험한 바, 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 적심기 생육에 미치는 질소 시용량의 영향은 년차간 변이가 큰 것으로 나타났으며 가리시용량은 적심기 생육에 별다른 영향을 미치지 않았다. 2. 질소나 가리 시용량이 생육기간중의 엽중 질소함량에는 비교적 큰 영향을 미쳤으나 가리함량에 미치는 영향은 비교적 작았다. 3. Burley 21에 비하여 KB 101이 다수성이었으며, 질소감비상태에서의 생산성도 높았다. 4. 질소를 22.75kg/10a까지 시용할 때는 수량과 품질이 높아졌으나, 그 이상 시용할때는 수량은 증가되지 않고 품질은 낮아졌다. 5. 가리시용량이나 가리/질소 시용비에 따른 수량, 품질 차이는 크지 않았으나, 가리/질소 시용비가 작을 때는 품질이 다소 낮아졌다 6. 질소시용량이 22.75kg/10a을 초과할 때, 잎담배 수량 및 품질면에서 유리한 점은 없었으며, 가리시용량은 35.0kg/10a이면 충분하며 그 이하로의 감비도 여지가 있을 것으로 생각된다.

Variation for Fruit Yield and Quality Characteristics in Sweet Pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) Germplasm Collection

  • Fifty-five sweet pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) germplasm from the Rural Development Administration (RDA) were analyzed for their fruit yield and fruit quality characters, including fruit weight, fruit size, pericarp thickness, total soluble content, fruit lobe, fruit shape, fruit surface and fruit color. Fruit yield per plot ranged from 200 g to 8150 g (average, 1884 g). Fruit fresh-weight per fruit ranged from 27.3 g to 200.0 g with an average of 97.2 g. Fruit length varied from 4.0 cm to 16.2 cm (average, 9.6 cm). Fruit length-to-width ratio ranged from 0.6 to 3.0 with an average 1.7. The fruit pericarp thickness ranged from 1.8 mm to 10.7 mm (average, 4.8 mm). Total soluble content was the highest ($8.5^{\circ}Brix$) in K156286 and the lowest ($5.3^{\circ}Brix$) in K156208 with the average value $6.7^{\circ}Brix$. Fruit lobes numbers varied from 2 to 4. Blocky, triangular, elongated, rectangular and round fruit shape identified among the sweet pepper accessions. Fruit surface varied from smooth to wrinkle and fruit color also varied. The presence of variability in fruit yield and quality traits within the sweet pepper genotypes can be utilized to develop high yielding sweet pepper variety with better fruit quality characters.

옥수수와 사료용 콩 혼작에 의한 조사료 수량 및 품질 (Yield and Quality of Forage Produced by Mixed Planting of Soybean and Corn)

  • The soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.], an edible legume, has a high protein content in both its hay and grain, so it is often used as a supplement for other forages that have a deficient protein concentration. Therefore, this study investigated the forage quality and yield in the case of mixed planting of soybean and corn. The forage yield and quality were assessed for three cropping patterns: soybean mono planting, corn mono planting, and mixed planting of soybean and corn. For planting, this study used a forage corn cultivar, Kwangpyeongok, and three recombinant inbreed lines, W2, W4, and W11, selected from Glycine soja (PI483463)${\times}$G. max (Hutcheson). The mixed planting of soybean and corn produced a higher forage yield than the corn mono cropping. The crude protein and crude fat content were also increased with the mixed planting of soybean and corn when compared with the corn mono cropping. Some decrease of ADF and NDF, and increase for RFV in mixed planting of soybean and corn than corn mono cropping. Therefore, the results show that mixed planting of soybean and corn is an effective cropping system to improve the forage quality.

  • This paper presents a six sigma application case study for an automobile steering wheel manufacturing process using rolled throughput yield improvement activity. Hidden factory and first pass yield concept is introduced and a DMAIC procedure is implemented to maximize the first pass yield. The result of the six sigma project amounts to the reduction of failure cost of 1.2 billion won per year in the steering wheel manufacturing process. This paper can benefit six sigma practitioners in some ways.

한국산 꼬시래기 (Gracilaria verrucosa)의 사분포자체와 배우체의 한천 수율 및 특성의 계절적·지역적 변화 (Seasonal and Regional Variations of Agar Yield and Properties of Tetrasporophytes and Gametophytes in Korean Gracilaria verrucosa)

  • The effect of season, life stages and harvesting sites on the yield and properties of agars extracted from Gracilaria verrucosa were determined. G. verrucosa were collected seasonally from November 2001 to August 2002 at Cheongsapo and Boryong, Korea. The plants were sorted Into the different life stages (tetrasporophytes and gametophytes) and dried at $60^{\circ}C.$ The yield, sulfate, protein, uronic acid and 3,6-anhydrogalactose of the agar were determined, and standard parameters of physical quality were measured. No differences were found in yield and properties of agars from the two different harvesting sites and from lift history phases. The yield of agar was maximum in summer $(17.3-20.0\%)$ and minimum in winter $(11.9-13.1\%).$ Maximum gel strength occurred in winter when the agar yield and sulfate content were low. Gel strength was negatively correlated with agar yleld. Seasonal variations in agar yield and its quality were discussed in a view to managing the exploitation of this resource.

민들레 잎분말 첨가에 따른 기능성 식빵의 품질특성 (Quality Characteristics of the Bread Added Dandelion Leaf Powder)

  • 민들레 잎분말 첨가에 따른 기능성 식빵의 품질특성을 분석하기 위하여 반죽수율, 반죽의 미세구조, 빵부피 및 비부피, 식빵 단면의 air cell 분포상태, 제빵수율, 기계적 및 관능적 품질특성을 분석하였다. 그 결과, 민들레의 잎분말 첨가는 글루텐 형성이나 효모의 발효 등에 크게 영향을 미치지 않아 빵 용적의 부피감소를 초래하지 않고 비교적 고른air cell을 형성하여 제빵적성이 우수한 것으로 판단된다. 특히 관능적 품질특성에서 전체적인 기호도면에 부합되는 기능성 식빵을 제조한다면 민들레 잎분말을 0.5% 첨가한 제품을 상용식품으로 개발하는 것이 적당할 것으로 생각된다.
