We investigated a novel process for production of ethanol from glycerol using the yeast Pachysolen tannophilus. After optimization of the fermentation medium, repeated-batch flask culture was performed over a period of 378 hr using yeast cells immobilized on Celite. Our results indicated that the use of Celite for immobilization of P. tannophilus was a practical approach for ethanol production from glycerol, and should be suitable for industrial ethanol production.

A conceptual system dynamics model is developed to represent the dynamic mechanism between the number of hepatitis B virus and the defense system of the body. The simulation results shows that the model behaves within the reasonable ranges. The developed conceptual model is a first attempt to quantify the dynamic mechanisms of the hepatitis B virus, where only feedback structures are considered without bio-organism data. The next step would be to incorporate the model with bio-organism theory and to carry out case studies to identify personal characteristics. Since the current model is a conceptual model where quantitative results are not based on the sound background, the usage is limited only within the qualitative basis. It could be a effective educational tool for the patients. It also shows what-to-do lists in order to be used for forecast purposes.

3세대 이동통신 방식인 WCDMA가 상용화됨에 따라 국내에서도 GSM 방식의 SIM 카드의 역할을 하는 USIM(Universal Subscriber identity Module) 카드가 본격적으로 도입되었다. USIM 카드는 WCDMA 단말기에 필수적으로 장착되며, 기존의 SIM 카드의 기본적인 기능 이외에도 다양한 기능이 추가될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 자바카드의 구조 및 보안적 특징, USIM의 보안 요구사항 및 자바카드를 위한 USIM 아키텍쳐에 대해 설명한 후에 USIM의 다양한 활용을 위한 보안 고려사항에 대하여 논의한다.

EAP (Extensible Authentication Protocol) is often used as an authentication framework for two-party protocol which supports multiple authentication algorithms known as "EAP method". And PKMv2 in 802.16e networks use EAP as an authentication protocol. However, this framework is not efficient when the EAP peer executing handover. The reason is that the EAP peer and EAP server should re-run EAP method each time so that they authenticate each other for secure handover. This makes some delays, so faster re-authentication method is needed. In this paper, we propose a new design of the PKMv2 framework which provides fast re-authentication. This new framework and usage of the keys which used as a short-term credential bring better performance during handover process.

가스터빈용 단결정 주조 블레이드는 기포 및 Freckle등과 같은 주조결함이 없어야 하며, 수지상, ${\gamma}$'크기와 모양에 따라 화학조성이 다르며, 기지와 공정조직을 각각 2영역 및 3영역으로 분류할 수 있었다. 또한, Ti는 첨가원소호서 조직제어에 매우 중요한 역할을 하였다.

본 논문에서는 인터넷을 통해 다양한 컨테츠 서비스를 사용자가 편리하게 이용할 수 있도록 EAP-TLS 인증 방식과 SKKE(Symmetric-Key Key Establishment)방식을 이용하여 보다 효율적인 인증 메커니즘을 설계하였다. 제안하고 있는 메커니즘에서는 사용자가 인증서 방식을 통해 AS(AAA Server)로부터 인증을 받으면 AS 와 가맹 관계에 있는 CP(Contents Provider)에는 별도의 로그인 과정없이 서비스를 이용할 수 있는 SSO 서비스, 사용자 익명성, 프라이버시를 제공한다. 사용자가 익명성을 필요로 하는 컨텐츠 서비스를 이용할 경우 사용자의 익명성을 보장 해주고 AS 모르게 사용자와 CP 가 안전하게 서비스를 전송하기 위해 사용 할 세션키를 교환하고 CP 마다 다른 세션키를 사용함으로써 사용자의 프라이버시를 보장해 준다.
