New Roles of the Professional Nursing in the Era of e-Health/u-Health (e-Health/u-Health 시대를 대비한 간호의 역할 확대)

  • e-Health/u-Health has generally been considered as an expansion of current medical and medical relevant segments. However. as e-Health/u-Health has been known to have typical attributes and characteristics of services supporting a physically and mentally well-balanced life of its users, we can rationally assume that e-Health/u-Health can be not only an expansion of the existing medical field but also a result of the complex and sophisticated convergence among diverse industries such as the ICT industry. traditional care-relevant segments, etc. Thus, in this study, we carefully and cautiously consider e-Health/u-Health in accordance with both possible scenarios: 1) an expansion of a typical industry, and 2) a result of a convergence among various industries. The advent of new technologies, rapid development of current technologies, and convergence trends in various fields are creating dramatic innovations in the next generation health services market. Consumerism as a characteristic of c-Health/u-Health can be expected to find a solution of the existing healthcare service problems. In the initial phase. mainly due to the absence of a vanguard, as well as to various legalistic and regulative limitations, the role of the government would be immensely critical for the successful early settlement of the e-Health/u-Health industry. Both the government and private sector need to practice continuous and effective public education and publicity mainly to increase the overall recognition and usability of e-Health/u-Health services. Nursing as a unique professional discipline should be well aware of the new paradigm shift of the healthcare market, and make maximum use of the possibility of this trend to the advent of the professional nursing's new role.

Effect of $TiO_2$ on Sintering Behavior of Mixed $UO_2$ and $U_3O_8$ Powder Compacts

  • The effect of TiO$_2$ on the sintering behavior of mixed UO$_2$-U$_3$O$_{8}$ Powder compacts has been investigated using the U$_{3}$O$_{8}$ powder made tv oxidation of defective UO$_{2}$ pellets. Without TiO$_2$, UO$_2$ pellet density is inversely proportional to U$_3$O$_{8}$ content and is below 94 %TD in the U$_3$O$_{8}$ range above 15 wt%. Using more than 0.1 wt % TiO$_2$, however, the density decreases slightly with U$_3$O$_{8}$ content and thus is higher than about 94% TD in the whole range of U$_3$O$_{8}$ content. The grain sizes of UO$_2$ pellets with more than 0.1 wt % TiO$_2$are larger than about 30${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$. Therefore, the U$_3$O$_{8}$ Powder can be reused without any restriction on its amount in UO$_2$ pellet fabrication by sintering the mixed UO$_2$-U$_3$O$_{8}$ compact with the aid of TiO$_2$. Mechanisms for densification and grain growth are proposed and discussed, based on a dilatometry study and an examination of microstructure. microstructure.

Combined Effects of Biological Control Agent Two Native Shellfish on the Hibernal Diatom Bloom of Eutrophic Water (저온기 규조 발생억제를 위한 패류의 혼합적용)

  • Grazing effects of two freshwater shellfish, Unio douglasiae (UNIO) and Cipangoplaudina chinese malleata (CCM), on the hibernal diatom communities in eutrophic water was examined in a laboratory. Two animals having different feeding types used in the study were collected from Keum River (Boryeong, Korea), acclimatized in the artificial management system in a laboratory over at least one month, and starved in a laboratory for 2 days before the experiment. Experimental waters, which dominated by Synedra ulna-Scenedesmus sp. (ca. 80%), was collected from eutrophic lake, Lake Ilgam (Seoul) in Feb., 19, 2008 at AM 10:00, and used in the study after the filtration with 1 mm Nylon mesh. Feeding experiments were largely divided into three kinds of animal treatments; five densities of UNIO (U0, U1, U2, U3, U4) and CCM (C0, C1, C2, C3, C4), and four combined densities of two shellfish (M0, M1, M2, M3). U0 and C0 were control (no addition of UNIO or CCM), U1 or C1 (each animal density at 0.5 ind. $L^{-1}$), U2 or C2 (1.0 ind. $L^{-1}$), U3 or C3 (1.5 ind. $L^{-1}$), and U4 or C4 (2.0 ind. $L^{-1}$), respectively. Four combined treatments were consisted of M0 (no animals), M1 (U1+C3), M2 (U2+C2), and M3 (U4+C1), respectively. Under the presence of animal, the concentration of Chl-a and algal abundance were clearly decreased with the increase of UNIO density and the treated time, while in combined group a strong decrease of algal density showed with the increase of UNIO density. Total phytoplankton density shifted as the similar patterns to that of Chl-a concentration (r=0.6527, p<0.0001), however, there showed the differences following a species. There were strong decreases of dominant species Synedra ulna, Scenedesmus sp., Ankistrodesmus falcatus in UNIO treatment group, Diatoma vulgare in combined group, while Cryptomonas ovata in high density of CCM increased about 20% in algal density. Grazing rates (GRs) based on the concentration of Chl-a was depend on the kind of shellfish and treatment time; a strong feeding of CCM showed in the initial stage, and four hours later, UNIO and combined group with high UNIO density showed the high GRs. Interestingly, faeces production of shellfish was highest in combined group with high density of CCM, while their size over 60 ${\mu}m$ was much higher in production magnitude than that less 60 ${\mu}m$. Collectively, these results suggest that two domestic shellfish and its combined treatment have a strong potential as an effective biological controller of diatom bloom in cold eutrophic waters.

Untersuchungen iiber Blutenknospenbildung bei Ribes nigrum L. (리베스(Ribes nigrum L. var. 'Rosenthals Langtraubige Schwarze') 식물의 화아분화에 관한 연구)

  • Durch vergleichende Untersuchungen von Ribes nigrum L. var. 'Rosenthals Langtraubige Schwarze' zwischen $prim\"{a}rem$ und $sekund\"{a}rem$ Jugendstadium (P.J. und S.J.) eine vertiefte Einsicht in die beiden zeitlich unterschielich langen $Entwicklungsabl\"{a}ufe$ zu bekommen und auf diese Weise bessere Ansatzpunke $f\"{u}r$ die Regulierung der $Bl\"{u}tc-nknospeninduktion$ zu gewinnen, war das Ziel vorliegenden Untersuchungen. Diese Untersuchungen $f\"{u}hrten$ zu den flogenden Ergebnissen: Die Dauer der Jugendphase von Ribes nigrum L. betrug bei den P.J.-Pflanzen ca. 7 Monate, bei den S.J.-Pflanzen ca. 5 Monate. Die $Bl\"{u}hreife$-(Ripeness to flower)-setzte bei den P.J.-Pflanzen erst beim 20. Nodium ein, bei den S.J.-Pflanzen bereits beim 5. Nodium. Das $f\"{u}hrte$ dazu, da${\beta}$ bei gleicher Nodienzahl die P.J.-Pflanzen weniger $Bl\"{u}te-nknospen$ angesetzt hatten als die S.J.-Pflanzen. Die erste $Bl\"{u}tenknospendifferenzierung$ setzte bei den P.J.-Pflanzen in der oberen Triebmitte etwa am 30. Nodium ein, beiden S.J.-Pflanzen bereits in der unteren Tricbmitte etwa am 20. Nodium. Bie den P.J.-Pflanzen waren die untersten 20. Nodien immer steril, $w\"{a}hrend$ bei den S.J.-Pflanzen $h\"{a}uflgsten$ an dem ersten Nodium $\"{u}ber$ der Basis fertil waren. In allen Versuchen hat sich gezeigt, da${\beta}$ der Wachstumsabschlu${\beta}$ -(Bildung einer Terminal Knospe)-, der bei Ribes nigrum L. durch Kurztag eingeleitet wird, bei den P.J.-Pflanzen langsammer als bei den S.J.-Pflanzen erfolgt. Dies $f\"{u}hrt$ dazu, da${\beta}$ die Pflanzen der $sekund\"{a}ren$ Jugendphase auf die photokybernetischen Stimulation empfindlicher reagieren als die der $prim\"{a}ren$ Jugendphase. Alle untersuchten Versuchsdaten $f\"{u}hren$ zu dem Schlu${\beta}$, da${\beta}$ die Wurzelgibberelline $(GA_n)$ keinen Einflu${\beta}$ auf die $Jugendsterilit\"{a}t$ ($Basissterilit\"{a}t$) haben. Aus den Untersuchungen geht hervor, da${\beta}$ die induktive Ma${\beta}$nahme zur Beschleunigung der $Bl\"{u}tenknospenbildung$ $f\"{u}r$ eine $Z\"{u}chtungsselektion$ erst dann eingesetzt werden sollen, wenn die P.J.-Pflanzen mehr als 20 Nodien ausgebildet haben.

On the Interpolation Using Neural Network (신경회로망을 이용한 내삽법에 관하여)

  • In this Paper we have proposed a new method to implement the interpolation of the functions, using a neural network. The architecture of neural network is a three-layer perceptron and the training algorithm is a modified error back propagation algorithm adding neurons to hidden layer. The interpolated functions are sin(7 X), 3rd order polynomial 0.5$\times$3_2$\times$2+X+2.5 and rectangular pulse 0.99 U (X-0.2) -0.99 U(X-0.8) +0.01, where U(X) is the unit step. The root mean squred errors of the interpolated functions are 0.00258, 0.00164 and 0.00116 respectively.

A Simple Polygon Search Algorithm

  • This paper considers simple polygon search problem. How many searchers find a mobile intruder that is arbitrarily faster than the searcher within polygon art gallery? This paper uses the visibility graph that is connected with edges for mutually visible vertices. Given visibility graph, we select vertex u that is conjunction ${\Delta}(G)$ in $N_G(v)$ for $d_G(v){\leq}4$. We decide 1-searchable if $1{\leq}{\mid}u{\mid}{\leq}2$ and 2-searchable if ${\mid}u{\mid}{\geq}3$. We also present searcher's shortest path. This algorithm is verified by varies 1 or 2-searchable polygons.

  • 산화물 형태의 사용후핵연료를 고온 용융염계에서 금속 형태로 전환하는 전기화학적 금속전환 공정 개발의 일환으로 $U_3O_8$ 분말로 충전된 다공성 마그네시아 용기 및 스테인레스강 고체전극으로 구성된 일체형 음극과 $SnO_2$ 재질의 양극을 사용하여 5kg $U_3O_8$/batch 규모의 mock-up 시험을 수행하였다. 백금 재질의 양극을 사용하였을 때 99% 이상의 금속전환율을 보인 동일한 전하량을 공급하고 실험을 중단한 결과 X-선 회절분석(XRD) 및 열중량 분석(TG)으로부터 스테인레스강 고체전극 부분에서는 거의 금속으로 전환되었으나 다공성 마그네시아 용기 부분에서는 비교적 금속전환율이 낮은 경향을 나타내었다.(중략)

장수명핵종군 분리공정 평가

  • 군분리공정의 관심대상 핵종인 잔존 U, MA인 Am, Np 및 백금족원소의 장수명핵종인 Tc을 방사성모의용액으로부터 효과적으로 분리할 수 있었다. 각 단위공정에 주입되는 용액의 농도를 기준으로 하여 볼 때 잔존 U 제거 공정에서 U, Np, 및 Tc의 회수율은 각각 99.1%. 31.9%, 및 99.5%였다. 개미산 탈질 공정에서는 탈질 용액의 총 산도를 0.4M 이하까지 감소시켰으며, 부수적으로 후속용매추출 공정 전반에 걸쳐 문제 핵종으로 작용하는 Zr, Mo, Fe 등을 각각 99.8%, 94.2%, 22.4% 침전 제거시킬 수 있었다. 마지막으로 DEHPA에 의한 AM/RE 상호분리 공정에서는 연속적인 선택적역추출에 의해 Am 및 Np 의 회수율은 각각 99.8% 및 98.2% 정도였고, Am의 경우 7.6%읜 Fe및 81.6% 의 Mo가, Np의 경우 5.8%의 Fe이 불순물로서 여전히 존재하고 있다. 한편 RE 생성물에서는 97~99.9%의 RE가 회수 제거되었다.

Production of Elaiophylin by the Strain MCY-846 in a Submerged Culture

  • Streptomyces sp. MCY-846 selected by in vitro cytotoxicity assay produced elaiophylin. Individual characteristics of the strains such as spore morphology, and physiological characteristics indicated that the strain is resembled to Streptomyces hygroscopicus. The time course of cell growth and antibiotic production was observed in the medium containing 0.5% trehalose and 0.5% soybean meal as carbon and nitrogen sources, respectively. The optimum production of elaiophylin was tested with different combinations of carbon and nitrogen sources and reached a maxima of $470{\mu}$/ml in the PC-II medium.

A Study on the Strength of Stud Shear Connectors in High Strength Concrete Composite Structures. (고강도 콘크리트 합성구조의 스터드 쉬어콘넥더 내력에 관한 연구)

  • This study summarizes the results of tests on 18 two-slab push out specimens. The main purpose of tile survey was to evaluate the capacity and behavior of stud shear connectors embedded in high strength normal concrete (F$\sub$c/=260~390kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$). The normal concrete was made with crushed stones and natural sand near the Han River. Two different diameters (ø19mm, ø16 mm) of stud shear connectors were used for push out specimens. The following conclusions were drawn from this study. 1) The shear strength of stud connectors embedded in high strength concrete (F$\sub$c/=260~390kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$) was influenced by tensile stress of the stud shear connectors. The following empirical function described the test results: q$\sub$u/=0.5A$\sub$s/√F$\sub$c/E$\sub$c/$\leq$0.7A$\sub$u/F$\sub$u/ 2) The maximum load in this study was reached at slips varying from 2.5~6mm.
