  • A boundary layer analysis is used to study the effects of Hall and ion-slip currents on the steady magneto-micropolar of a viscous incompressible and electrically conducting fluid over a horizontal plate. By means of similarity solutions, deviation of fundamental equations on the assumption of small magnetic Reynolds number are solved numerically by using the shooting method. The effects of various parameters of the problem, e.g. the magnetic parameter, Hall parameter, ion-slip parameter, buoyancy parameter and material parameter are discussed and shown graphically.

  • In this paper, we consider the problem of testing for parameter change in time series models based on a cusum of squares. Although the test procedure is well-established for the mean and variance in time series models, a general parameter case was not discussed in literatures. Therefore, here we develop the cusum of squares type test for parameter change in a more general framework. As an example, we consider the change of the parameters in an RCA(1) model. Simulation results are reported for illustration.

  • This paper investigates the problem of linear parameter-dependent output feedback controllers design for interconnected linear parameter-varying(LPV) plant. By using a parameter-independent common Lyapunov function, sucient conditions for solving the problems are established, which allow us to design linear parameter dependent decentralized controllers in terms of scaled H-infinite control problems for related linear systems without interconnections. The solvability conditions are expressed in terms of finite-dimensional linear matrix inequalities(LMI´s) evaluated at the extreme points of the admissible parameter set.

  • In this paper, we present a method of analising a system with nonlinear parameter by pole sensitivity defined by the rate of pole movement with respect of non-linear parameter variation. Pole sensitivity give us not only the rate of pole movement but also the directional information. We present a method of design of a state feedback for a system with nonlinear system parameter by considering the pole sensitivity and show that the suggested method guarantee the stability robustness for a system with nonlinear parameter, parameter perturbation and urimodelled dynamics.

  • An approach to make the information bound sharper in median-unbiased estimation, based on an analogue of the Cramer-Rao inequality developed by Sung et al. (1990), is introduced for continuous densities with a nuisance parameter by considering information quantities contained both in the parametric function of interest and in the nuisance parameter in a linear fashion. This approach is comparable to that of improving the information bound in mean-unbiased estimation for the case of two unknown parameters. Computation of an optimal weight corresponding to the nuisance parameter is also considered.

  • This paper presents an adaptive receding horizon H$_{\infty}$ controller for the linear parameter varying systems in the deterministic environment, which combines a parameter range estimator and a robust receding horizon H$_{\infty}$ controller using the parameter bounds. Using parameter set inclusion and terminal inequality condition, the closed-loop system stability is guaranteed. It is shown that the stabilizing adaptive receding horizon H$_{\infty}$ controller guarantees the H$_{\infty}$ norm bound.

  • In this research effect of physicochemical parameter on flocculation using PASS-100 were evaluated. pEt flocculant dosage, mixing intensity and detention time were adopted as experimental variables. The physicochemical parameter( p% mixing intensity and mixing time ) were important Parameter on flocculation performance. Effluent pH range for effective flocculation was 4.5-7. Optimum Gt$_{d}$ range was 20,000-30,000 and its range similar to alum flucculation. Rapid mixing was very important parameter to floe formation in PASS- 100 flocculation. Whereas, slow mixing did not affect to the removal efficiency at settling time for 30minute or more.

  • We shall propose several estimators for the scale parameter in the uniform distribution when the parameter is functions of a known exposure level, and obtain expectations and variances for their proposed estimators. And we shall compare numerically relative efficiencies for proposed estimators of the scale parameter in the small sample sizes.

  • Railroad line capacity is influenced by Quantitative and Qualitative factors which is applied by parameter to calculate it. But these parameters have been used experiential value without analyzing its reasonability or appropriate level. In this paper, we introduce the concept of robustness to Quantify parameter and evaluate robustness of it. For this purpose, we develop parameter evaluation simulator and present it. If this simulator is utilized, we can find the parameter having appropriate robustness and it will be applied to calculate more reasonable and systematic railroad line capacity.
