We propose new parallel block ILU (Incomplete LU) factorization preconditioners for a nonsymmetric block-tridiagonal M-matrix. Theoretial properties of these block preconditioners are studied to see the convergence rate of the preconditioned iterative methods, Lastly, numerical results of the right preconditioned GMRES and BiCGSTAB methods using the block ILU preconditioners are compared with those of these two iterative methods using a standard ILU preconditioner to see the effectiveness of the block ILU preconditioners.

In this paper, optimal block designs for complete diallel crosses are proposed. These optimal block designs for estimating general combining abilities are constructed by using balanced incomplete block designs and nested balanced incomplete block designs. Also, the efficiency of the optimal block design obtained through this method is reported in table.

This work is based on the motion estimation to handle the ill-posed nature. The algorithm used in this study that performs the motion estimation for overlapped block is used to calculate with using pixel of neighborhood block with higher correlation and present block by considering the correlation level of neighborhood block. The proposed method shows in a significant improvement in the quality of the mothion field when comparing the conventional methods.

This paper proposes an image based method for arranging ship blocks in a dockyard. The problem of appropriately arranging numerous blocks has to be carefully planned because it has close relation to the effectiveness of the whole working process. To implement the system, the block shape and feature points have to be obtained from block image. The block arrangement system can be implemented by the fusion of the block shape extraction and image matching technology.

The objective of this stu요 was to develop a polymer mortar guide block for the blind handicapped people. A high strength and a long durability polymer concrete using unsaturated polyester resin was used to developed the block and to improve the exiting cement mortar guide bloc. Physical and mechanical properties of the polymer mortar guide block were investigated with respect to absorptivity, impact strength, bending strength compared to those of the conventional cement guide block. The polymer mortar guide block was proven to have properties , indication that the block have better industrial applications.

Heat and fluid flow in the motor block room of a motorized car is numerically simulated. The motorized car, composed of a motor block room and a passenger room, supplies additional Power to achieve the design speed. A motor block, a transformer, and a fan are equipped in the motor block room. Flow phenomena in the ducts on the motor block and power transformer are investigated. Also, the three dimensional heat and fluid flow in the motor block room is simulated to give a qualitative information of the flow characteristics.

The purpose of this study is to analysis the thermal performance of the clayed hollow block wall. Its thermal performance was evaluated comparison with the cement block wall, it was generally used in building envelope. To that end, we conducted a insulation performance experiment and heating and cooling load simulation for a respective wall. In addition, we calculated a construction cost for each other's wall. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. (1) According to experiment of a insulation performance, coefficient of overall heat transmission of the cement block wall and clayed hollow block wall was calculated respectively $2.72W/^2K$ and $1.42W/^2K$. (2) The annular load saving of the clayed hollow block wall was evaluated 1.5% larger than its of the cement block wall. (3) The construction cost of the clayed hollow block wall was calculated 73% more expensive than its of the cement block wall. (4) The construction cost of the clayed hollow block composite wall was calculated 13.7% more expensive than its of the cement block composite wall.

Block system has been used to protect trains from occupying the same section of track at the same time so that only one train is permitted in each block at a time. Domestic driving regulations on the block system is divided into two classifications, such as regular block and substitute block. If it is impossible to use this regulation, the block applied method can be applied. However, domestic urban railway administrator has established his own operation rule within the regulation. Therefore, in order to assure continuous safety of train in operation, it is necessary to strengthen the regulation as can cope with the various block systems. In this study, domestic urban railway administration's own rules are examined and the appropriate driving regulation on the block system is proposed.

Background : Hemifacial spasm commonly occurs on muscles about the eye, but may also involve or spread to the entire side of the face. There are many treatment for facial spasm, such as neuro-vascular decompression, local injection of Botulium toxin, facial nerve block at stylomastoid foramen, facial nerve block with O'Brien method. The present study was aimed to investigate the effects of facial nerve block with O'Brien method. Methods : Forty five patients with hemifacial spasm were treated by facial nerve block with O'Brien method from January 1996 to February 1997 We reviewed the charts, retrospectively. Results : Sex ratio was 1:1.7(17 male : 28 female patients). Most patients were 40~60 years old. Most patients well tolerated facial nerve block. Three patients failed to respond to the facial nerve block. We repeated the procedure within one week. Among the 45 patients who received nerve block, 35 received repeated block; 7 patients received second repeat block, 2 patients received third repeat block. After successful nerve block, all patients were free of spasm for 1 to 6 months. Average spasm-free period was 3.5 months. Conclusion : Although the spasm-free period was short, these results suggest facial nerve block with O'Brien method is a safe and comfortable method for treatment of facial spasm.

보안키 생성기법으로 하드웨어 또는 소프트웨어 관련 생성기법들이 다양하게 제안되고 있다. 본 연구는 기존의 보안키 생성기법들을 분석하여, NAND 플래시 메모리의 Bad Block 정보를 이용하는 새로운 보안키인 NBSK(NAND Bad block based Secure Key)을 설계하고 이를 이용한 암호화기법을 제안한다. NAND 플래시 메모리에 존재하는 Bad Block은 생산중에 발생하기도 하고 사용 도중에 발생하기도 한다. 생산중 발생하는 초기 Bad Block 정보는 변하지 않으며, 사용도중 발생하는 Bad Block 정보는 주기적으로 변할 수 있다는 특성을 가지고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 NAND 플래시 메모리 생산중에 발생하는 초기의 Bad Block 정보의 물리주소를 이용하여 보안키로 활용할 수 있도록 암호화키를 설계하고 이를 이용한 암호화 기법을 제안한다. 제안 기법을 이용하면 보안키의 생성과 분배의 단순성과 보안키의 인증성과 기밀성 등의 일반적인 보안 특성을 만족할 수 있다.
