The purpose of this study is to explore practical methods of interlibrary loan system, linked with information retrieval system. The process and current status of interlibrary loan was investigated and analyzed at medical libraries in this study. In order to find the way of utilizing data from information retrieval and document request at the same time, the author tries to develop a way of linking PubMed, Union Catalog and ILL system. This study shows that hit record of information retrieval was saved in type of MEDLINE, XMLJSGML and reused for document delivery services. It seems to be efficient that the maintenance of Union Catalog was managed by all of member libraries, and data were retrieved at server and client side at once. In addition, it was found that user information can be checked by the IP and ILL system can be used for requested document by the saved result.

The purpose of this paper is to develop standardized metadata elements of e-mail records with respect to international standards based on analyzing the Australian Government Email Metadata Standard(AGEMS) elements and Korean Records Management Metadata Standard including e-mail records. To achieve the goal, we investigated and analyzed ISO15489 and ISO 23081 which are the international standard related to records and metadata of records. Second, a case study related to the features of e-mail records produced in public institutions in Korea was performed. Third, we made a comparative study of Australian Government Email Metadata Standard(AGEMS). With the results, we proposed mandatory and optional metadata elements for managing e-mail records. Also, the DTD of proposed metadata elements were developed. The proposed metadata elements of e-mail was applied to e-mails which were produced from a administrative information system of a local government in Korea.

It is very important to collect all production-related status values during the manufacturing process of semiconductor. The analysis results of the collected data can be used for the operation rate, fault diagnosis, process control and removal of predicted obstacles of equipments, eventually contributing to the improvement of production efficiency. For this propose. many IC makers have adopted EES(Equipment Engineering System). As the use of web has become a daily lift activity lately, it has been suggested to expand the scope of monitoring equipments using HTTP or SOAP protocols. To fulfill the web-based EES, EDA(Equipment Data Aquisition) should be facilitated first by integrating and standardizing various forms of messages generated from many different semiconductor equipments. In this paper, a method for integration between different types of information is suggested based on the analysis of various protocols used for the communication between semiconductor equipments. In addition, a software architecture to support the method is desisted.

In recent, development of wireless internet technology gradually has increased multimedia application in mobile device. Specially, application of grand capacity multimedia contents has increased in mobile environment gradually. MPEG-7 can search multimedia data using various type. But in restricted grand capacity of multimedia, MPEG-7 is used to be limited in desktop computer system mostly. Therefore, management of grand capacity multimedia data has become very important researching topic in mobile environment, and so embedded DBMS based on MPEG-7 for multimedia data management in client-server environment is needed. The system supports restricted hardware resource for multimedia application in mobile device. In this paper, we propose a method for MPEG-7 data clustering that included MPEG-7 data property. On the base of the clustering result, we also develop the embedded multimedia database management system based on MPEG-7 scheme(EMDS:MPEG-7 Scheme Based Embedded Multimedia Database Management System) in mobile device such as PDA.

Application of chunking to English and some other European languages has shown that it is a viable parsing mechanism for natural languages. Although a small number of attempts have been made to apply chunking to the analysis of the Korean language, it still is not clear enough what criteria there are to identify appropriate units of chunking, and how efficient and valid the chunking algorithms would be when applied to some authentic Korean texts. The purpose of this research is to provide an alternative set of algorithms for chunking Korean, and to implement them, and to test them against some English-Korean parallel corpora, which is English and Korean bibles matched sentence by sentence. It is shown in the paper that aligning related texts and identifying matched phrases between the two languages can be achieved through appropriate chunking and matching algorithms defined on the morphologically-tagged parallel corpus. Chunking and matching processes are based on the content words rather than the function words, and the matching itself is done in terms of the transfer dictionary. The implementation is done in C and XML, and can be accessed through the Internet.

Hand posture recognition is an important technique to enable a natural and familiar interface in HCI(human computer interaction) field. In this paper, we introduce a hand posture recognition method by using a depth camera. Moreover, the hand posture recognition method is incorporated with MPEG-U based advanced user interaction (AUI) interface system, which can provide a natural interface with a variety of devices. The proposed method initially detects positions and lengths of all fingers opened and then it recognizes hand posture from pose of one or two hands and the number of fingers folded when user takes a gesture representing a pattern of AUI data format specified in the MPEG-U part 2. The AUI interface system represents user's hand posture as compliant MPEG-U schema structure. Experimental results show performance of the hand posture recognition and it is verified that the AUI interface system is compatible with the MPEG-U standard.

Ajax interaction model changes the posture of web application to become a stateful over HTTP. Ajax applications are long-lived inthe browser. XMLHTTPRequest (XHR) is used to facilitate the data exchange. Using HTTPS over this interaction is not viable because of the frequency of data exchange. Moreover, switching of protocols form HTTP to HTTPS for sensitive information is prohibited because of server-of-origin policy. The longevity, constraint, and asynchronous features of Ajax application need to hove a different authentication and session fondling mechanism that invoke re-authentication. This paper presents an authentication and session management scheme using Ajax. The scheme is design lo invoke periodic and event based re-authentication in the background using digest authentication with auto-generated password similar to OTP (One Time Password). The authentication and session management are wrapped into a framework called AWASec (Ajax Web Application Security) for coupling to avoid broken authentication and session management.

휴대용 단말기의 소형화 및 지능화와 더불어 차세대 PC 기반의 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅에 대한 관심이 높아짐에 따라 최근에는 펜이나 음성 입력 멀티미디어 등 여러 가지 대화 모드를 구비한 멀티 모달 상호작용 (Multi-Modal Interaction MMI)에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 잡음 환경에서의 명확한 의사 전달 및 휴대용 단말기에서의 음성-제스처 통합 인식을 위한 인터페이스의 연구를 목적으로 Voice-XML과 Wearable Personal Station(WPS) 기반의 음성 및 내장형 수화 인식기를 통합한 멀티 모달 명령어 인식 시스템 (Multi-Modal Instruction Recognition System : MMIRS)을 제안하고 구현한다. 제안되어진 MMIRS는 한국 표준 수화 (The Korean Standard Sign Language : KSSL)에 상응하는 문장 및 단어 단위의 명령어 인식 모델에 대하여 음성뿐만 아니라 화자의 수화제스처 명령어를 함께 인식하고 사용함에 따라 잡음 환경에서도 규정된 명령어 모델에 대한 인식 성능의 향상을 기대할 수 있다. MMIRS의 인식 성능을 평가하기 위하여, 15인의 피험자가 62개의 문장형 인식 모델과 104개의 단어인식 모델에 대하여 음성과 수화 제스처를 연속적으로 표현하고, 이를 인식함에 있어 개별 명령어 인식기 및 MMIRS의 평균 인식율을 비교하고 분석하였으며 MMIRS는 문장형 명령어 인식모델에 대하여 잡음환경에서는 93.45%, 비잡음환경에서는 95.26%의 평균 인식율을 나타내었다.

These days, computer system has been introduced for work in most areas, including manufacturing, medical service, education, logistics, and other services. To increase work efficiency, mobile system has been more applied. However, on the basis of Android applications, it is hard for laypersons who have no enough knowledge of Android, or computer team members in general firms to develop mobile App. As a result, work efficiency comes to low. Therefore, this study designed and developed the mobile application for anthropometry data input of medical checkup with the use of App Inventor. As shown in the designed and developed mobile application, it is expected to develop a work process mobile App, it is expected to develop a work process mobile App easily and quickly with the use of App Inventor and to increase work efficiency even though there is not much knowledge of mobile application development.

In recent years, a life phenomenon using a workflow management tool in bioinformatics has been actively researched. Workflow management tool is the base which enables researchers to collaborate through the re-use and sharing of service, and a variety of workflow management tools including MyGrid project's Taverna, Kepler and BioWMS have been developed and used as the open source. This workflow management tool can model and automate different services in spatially-distant area in one working space based on the web service technology. Many tools and databases used in the bioinformatics are provided in the web services form and are used in the workflow management tool. In such the situation, the web services development and stable service offering for a sequence similarity search which is basically used in the bioinformatics can be essential in the bioinformatics field. In this paper, the similarity retrieval speed of biology sequence data was improved based on a Linux cluster, and the sequence similarity retrieval could be done for a short time by linking with the workflow management tool through developing it in the web services.
