HTML revolutionized the way we specify the appearance of data on the Internet. Today, XML (the eXtensible Markup Language) is changing the way we specify the meaning of data. XML, lets document authors define their own markup tags and attribute names to assign meaning to the data elements in the document. Further, XML elements can be nested and include references to indicate data relationships, as Listing One. Unlike HTML, XML markup tags do not describe how to render the data. Rather, they provide descriptions of data, allowing software to understand the meaning of the data automatically For publishing, instead, XSL, the eXtensible Stylesheet Language as a separate language , is in charge of specifying the presentation of XML documents. The purpose of this study is to discover how to transform your organizations relational data into potential e-commerce, business-to-business, and web application with XML and XSL documents. For this purpose, the literature survey, first of all, was undertaken to understand the basic structures of XML documents. Second, one case implementation was performed to understand how to transform Access 2002 XML Files into HTML with XSLTand VB script. The results come out to be successful, more or less. But the limitations of it still exist. One immediate limitation is that XML documents are essentially tree structure, as dictated by the nesting of elements. However, relational database tables are two dimensional matrix structure. In addition, real-world data often is graph structured-a single data element may be referenced in multiple ways. However, this study is useful for understanding how to convert relational database into XML documents and to publish them using XSL or VB script.

This study describes the XML-based digitalization of structural design sheets for RC buildings to exchange on the web. For this purpose, first, the data structure of XML document that represents the structural design skeets, including mathematical expressions and graphics that cannot be easily exchanged on the web, is defined. Then, the presentation of the XML documents on the web is discussed. The prototype that facilitates the web-based exchange of the XML documents we developed and the feasibility of the results of this study is discussed.

XML DTD is defining expression of simple form for XML document, there is much difficulties to define structure of XML document. Solving XML DTD's problem, W3C was select XML schema by standard in 2001. This paper proposes a design to XML DBMS using Relational Database based on XML schema to be selected by standard from W3C to overcome XML DBMS's shortcoming using XML DTD.
With the spread of internet, the digitalization and the knowledge informatization are in progress rapidly. Specially, numerous users make the various works and use the services on the web. For the most part, these works make use of the XML The XML shines the reusing of the documents because it is separated from contents and sues. Also, it can re-define the logic structure of the document for requirement of the developer. However, the XML document’s size is much larger than common text document because it handles the document type and adds numerous tags for representing structure of the document. To utilize the limited storage devices of Palmtop, PDA and so u, it is necessary to compress and handle the documents efficiently. Recently, the compression techniques for efficiently handling and compressing the XML documents are under way to solve this problem. But most of the existing researches don't support the query processing for the compressed XML documents. In this paper, we design and implement the XML compression algorithm that compresses the XML document and Processes the query of compressed XML document faster and more efficiently than previous techniques.
As the XML data has been widely used in the Internet, it is necessary to store and retrieve the XML data by using DBMSs. However, relational DBMSs suffer from the model difference between graph structure of the XML data and table forms in relational databases. We propose an ORDBMS-based DTD-dependent XML data management system Xing. Xing stores XML data in a DTD-dependent form in an object database. Since the object database schema has a graph structure and supports multi-valued attributes, mapping from an XML data model and queries into an object data model and OQLs is a simple problem. For rapid storing of large quantities of the XML data, we use SAX parser with customized Xing-tree which requires a small memory space compared with the DOM-tree. Xing also returns the query result in an XML document form. We have implemented the Xing system on top of UniSQL object-relational DBMS for the validity checking and performance comparison. For XML genome data from GenBank, and experimental evaluation shows that Xing can provide significant performance improvement (maximum 10 times) compared with the relational approach.
Today, XML is widely used to present structured data and its importance has been expanded much in the web environment. Generally, we exchange XML documents to process XML-based data in distributed processing environments like a CORBA. But we need to configure CORBA environments to process XML documents. The system that has initially been designed to process XML is required. If there is no such system, we should configure most parts of the system, namely, IDL definition and CORBA client, CORBA server, implementation objects. In this paper, we propose a system that can apply an integration structure of web environment and CORBA without any additional configuration. Our proposed system can support various service types, namely, Also it can offer extensibility to legacy system with CORBA by using servlet and SOAP. Our proposed system can extend the structure to integrate XML with CORBA, Hence the web platform environment that applies this architecture can support much easier integration with CORBA environment.

In this paper, we propose an indexing model for efficient structure retrieval of XML documents. The proposed indexing model consists of structured information that supports a wide range of queries such as content-based queries and structure-attribute queries at all levels of the document hierarchy and index organizations that are constructed based on the information. To support structured retrieval, a new representation method for structured information is presented. Using this structured information, we design content index, structure index, and attribute index for efficient retrieval. also, we explain processing procedures for mixed queries and evaluate the performance of proposed indexing model. It is shown that the proposed indexing model achieves better retrieval performance than the existing method.
XML allows users to define elements using arbitrary words and organize them in a nested structure. These features of XML offer both challenges and opportunities in information retrieval and document management. In this paper, we propose a new methodology for computing similarity considering XML semantics - meanings of the elements and nested structures of XML documents. We generate extended-element vectors, using thesaurus, to normalize synonyms, compound words, and abbreviations and build similarity matrix using them. And then we compute similarity between XML elements. We also discover and minimize XML structure using automata(NFA(Nondeterministic Finite Automata) and DFA(Deterministic Finite automata). We compute similarity between XML structures using similarity matrix between elements and minimized XML structures. Our methodology considering XML semantics shows 100% accuracy in identifying the category of real documents from on-line bookstore.

Can speak that DTD is meta data that define meaning of expressed data on XML document. Therefore, In case DTD information is damaged this information to base security of XML document dangerous. Not that attach digital signature on XML document at send-receive process of XML document in this research, proposed method to attach digital signature to DTD. As reading DTD file to end first, do parsing, and store abstracted element or attribute entitys in hash table. Read hash table and achieve message digest if parsing is ended. Compose and create digital signature with individual key after achievement. When sign digital, problem that create entirely other digest cost because do not examine about order that change at message digest process is happened. This solved by method to create DTD's digital signature using DOM that can embody tree structure for standard structure and document.

XML documents which are used for exchanging structured documents between heterogeneous distributed system are increasing recently. It needs an object-oriented visualization tool for XML documents. So, we propose rules and an algorithm to represent structure of XML documents using UML Class Diagram. It helps to generate XML documents which are included links by understanding easily constructs of them and reduce gap of schema for them between heterogeneous databases. We propose formal models and modeling functions of XML links which provide an efficient environment for processing object-oriented documents.
