The Effect of Angular Anisotropy in XLPE Insulation on Dielectric Strength (XLPE 케이블의 비등방성이 가지는 전기.기계적 특성)

  • 최근 초고압 케이블 절연체로 XLPE(가교 폴리에틸렌)이 널리 사용되어 지면서 XLPE의 여러 물리 화학적 특성에 따른 절연 성능에 관한 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 이러한 XLPE 절연층은 제조과정에서 압출과정을 거쳐 도체를 감싸게 되는데 이 과정에서 흐름 패턴으로 나타나는 비등방성(anisotropy)을 띠게된다. 본 논문에서는 초고압 XLPE 케이블에서 시계 방향으로 나타나는 비등방성(anisotropy)이 나타내는 기계-전기적 특성을 인장강도(tensile strength), 트리 개시전압 및 개시시간을 측정한 결과를 토대로 고찰해 보았으며, 이러한 비등방성이 초고압 XLPE 케이블의 절연 성능에 영향을 주는 인자로 고려되어야 함을 알 수 있었다.

Neural Network Model for Partial Discharge Pattern Analysis of XLPE/EPR Interface (XLPE/EPR 계면의 부분방전 패턴 분석을 위한 신경망 모형)

  • The prefabricated type used generally in Korea to join cable runs on new installations or to repair broken Cable runs on existing installations, because installation is very simple and save time. This type is a permanent, shielded and submersible cable joint for direct burial or vault application. It confirms to the requirements of IEEE std. 404-1993 by factory testing, but many problems of insulated cable systems are caused by internal defects of the joint part which have to be mounted ensile. Faults arise from impurities or voids. A suitable solution for a monitoring of cable joints during the after-laying test and service is partial discharge detection. Specimen obtained 1mm thickness from the insulation of real power cable and cable joint. <중략>The partial discharges are measured to determine their time dependence for 60 minutes and the influence of applied electrical stress under 30kV. $\Phi-q-n$ properties were measured using detection impedance, high pass filter and computerized data acquisition system. Statistic Value like maximum charge, repetition rate, average charge, etc. are calculated. It is possible to quantitative analysis of $\Phi-q-n$ properties from this statistic value and pattern analysis.

  • 본 논문에서는 -50[$^{\circ}C$]환경에서 케이블 접속함의 극한지역 적용가능 여부를 확인하기 위해 접속함의 주재료인 Etylene Propylene Rubbe(EPR), Silicone Rubber(SR) 및 Epoxy의 물성 및 특성 평가 시험을 진행하였다. 실험방법은 DSC(Differential Scanning Calorimetry)를 사용하여 10[$^{\circ}C$]/min의 승온속도로 각각의 온도구간에서 샘플들의 Tg(Glass Transition Temperature)를 측정하였고, UTM(Universal Testing Machine)으로 -50[$^{\circ}C$]~ 상온에서 인장강도 및 신율을 측정하였다. 본 연구를 동하여, 극한지역의 전력계통 연계 안정성 및 신뢰성 향상을 위한 기초적인 Data-base를 구축했다.

  • The insulation of cable which used for Ultra-High Voltage(UHV) underground power transmission requires excellent insulation capability for high voltage. The typical insulation materials are used XLPE, EPR, etc, but insulation efficiency of these is affected by void or alien substances, existed at the inside of insulators. In this paper, the partial discharge patterns of the defects within insulation cable are observed and analyzed. In this test, void, fiber and metal inclusions which possibly exist in cables, are simulated and investigated the patterns of partial discharges for each models Also the relations between calculated field strength and the insulation breakdown voltage. The experiment shows distinct partial discharge patterns in accordance with the kinds of defects within Insulation cable.

Partial Discharge Detection and Statistic Value Calculation of Power Cable Using Data Acquisition System (데이터 취득 시스템을 이용한 전력케이블의 부분방전 검출과 통계량 계산)

It confirms to the requirements of IEEE std. 404-1993 by factory testing, but many problems of insulated cable systems are caused by internal defects of the joint part which have to be mounted ensile. Especially, fault rates are arise from impurities or voids. A suitable solution for a monitoring of power cable during the after-laying test and service is partial discharge detection. The artificial defects between cable joint(EPR) and insulator(XLPE) interface are considered in this research to investigating the partial discharge characteristics. ${\varphi}$-q-n properties were detected using data acquisition system and Maximum charge($q_{max}$), repetition rate(${\={n}$), average charge(${\={q}$), Unbalance rate of ${\={n}$ and ${\={q}$ are calculated in order to analysis partial discharge properties quantitatively from this statistic value.
