X 리프트 스핀들의 파괴해석 (Fracture Analysis of a Spindle in the X-Lift)

  • One of the two spindles in the X-lift fractured suddenly during normal operation. The fracture occurred at the notch where the bending moment might be the maximum. Macrofractographic features associated with rotating-bending fatigue are evident on the fracture surface. The 3-D finite element analysis of the X-lift reveals that the spindle rotated under bending. The measured surface strain of the spindle varies cyclically as the spindle rotates. It supports that the spindle rotated under bending. The X-lift is not perfectly symmetrical with respect to both the horizontal and the vertical plane. The slightly unsymmetrical deformation can cause the bending of the spindle.

  • By considering a hyperspace CL(X) of a Hausdorffspace X with the Vietoris topology [6] also called the finite topology and treating X as a subspace of CL(X) with the natural embedding, it is obtained that homotopic maps f, g : $X{\rightarrow}Y$ are lifted to homotopic maps on the respective hyperspaces.

고속 비행의 Lift-offset 복합형 헬리콥터 기체의 능동 진동 제어 시뮬레이션 (Active Airframe Vibration Control Simulations of Lift-offset Compound Helicopters in High-Speed Flights)

  • This paper studies the simulations of active airframe vibration controls for the Sikorsky X2 helicopter with a lift-offset coaxial rotor. The 4P hub vibratory loads of the X2TD rotor are obtained from the previous work using a rotorcraft comprehensive analysis code, CAMRAD II. The finite element analysis software, MSC.NASTRAN, is used to model the structural dynamics of the X2TD airframe and to analyze the 4P vibration responses of the airframe. A simulation study using Active Vibration Control System(AVCS) with Fx-LMS algorithm to reduce the airframe vibrations is conducted. The present AVCS is modeled using MATLAB Simulink. When AVCS is applied to the X2TD airframe at 250 knots, the 4P longitudinal and vertical vibration responses at the specified airframe positions, such as the pilot seat, co-pilot seat, engine deck, and prop gearbox, are reduced by 30.65 ~ 94.12 %.

구 주위 유동의 선형비례제어 (Linear Proportional Control of Flow Over a Sphere)

  • In the present study, we reduce the drag and lift fluctuations of the sphere by providing a linear proportional control. For this purpose, we measure the radial velocity along the centerline in the wake and provide blowing and suction at a part of sphere surface based on the measured velocity. Zero-net mass flow rate is satisfied during the control. This control is applied to the flow over a sphere at Re=300 and 425. We vary the sensing location at $0.8d{\leq}X_s{\leq}1.3d$ and find that the most effective sensing region coincides with the location at which minimum correlation between the lift and sensing-velocity directions occurs. As a result, the lift and drag fluctuations are significantly reduced.

A Study on the Charging and Diagnosis System of xEV Reusable Waste Battery

  • As the supply of xEV in Korea is rapidly increasing, the amount of waste batteries is expected to increase rapidly, but the current recycling system for waste xEV batteries is very insufficient. In order to properly utilize the xEV reusable battery module, it is essential to classify it into a type that has similar discharge characteristics to the current state of health(SOH), which is the discharge capacity of the battery. This paper proposes a system that can minimize the exchange of energy with the KEPCO system by using the charging/discharging method by circulating power between batteries in order to minimize the power consumption when charging and discharging waste batteries. In the proposed system, a function to measure parameters during the charging/discharging test of the waste battery was implemented to build a customized big date for the test waste battery. In addition, the dynamic characteristics of the proposed circuit were analyzed using PSIM, which is useful for power electronics analysis, and the validity of the proposed circuit was verified through experiments.

고장력 강판 부분용입 맞대기 용접부의 피로균열진전수명 평가 (Fatigue Crack Propagation Life of Partially Penetrated Butt Welds in High Strength Steel)

  • Fatigue behaviour of partially penetrated butt-welded joints in high strength steel plates, in which crack-like structural defect, i.e. lack of penetration(LOP), is inevitably introduced during welding processes, was investigated. Fatigue lives of two types of welded joints, namely X-grooved and K-grooved joints, were experimentally determined first. Observed fatigue crack propagation behaviours of the partially penetrated butt-welds were interpreted through considering 3-dimensional semi-elliptical crack shape in front of the LOP. Based on such interpretation, a fracture mechanical method to estimate stress intensity factors at the crack tip was proposed. Since the fatigue lift of the partially penetrated butt-welds was strongly influenced by the ratio of size of the LOP to thickness, D/t, the D/t was used as a main parameter to calculate the fatigue lift by using the proposed method. Comparison of the fatigue lift obtained experimentally and analytically agreed well with each other. Hence it is suggested that the method used in this work to predict fatigue lift of the partially penetrated butt-welds can be applied to real cases with improved lift-prediction capability.

고집적 플립 칩용 극미세 58Bi-42Sn 솔더 범프와 Au/Ni/Ti UBM의 계면 반응 (Interfacial Reaction between Ultra-Small 58Bi-42Sn Solder Bump and Au/Ni/Ti UBM for Ultra-Fine Flip Chip Application)

  • 고집적 플립 칩 기술을 위한 $50{\mu}m$ 직경의 극미세 58Bi-42Sn 솔더 범프와 Au/Ni/Ti UBM의 계면 반응에 따른 금속간 화합물을 분석하였다. 증발증착법과 lift-off 방법으로 극미세 Bi-Sn 솔더 범프를 형성하고 급속열처리 장비를 이용하여 리플로 공정을 실시하였다. 리플로 공정에서의 냉각속도를 변화시키면서 제작한 솔더 범프의 표면과 단면을 주사전자현미경으로 관찰하였다 $Au(0.1{\mu}m)$/Ni/Ti UBM 위의 극미세 58Bi-42Sn 솔더 범프의 표면과 내부에서 facet 특성을 갖는 다각형의 금속간 화합물들이 다수 관찰되었다. 주사전자현미경의 EDS 분석과 X-선 회절분석으로 확인한 결과 이 금속간 화합물은 $(Au_xBi_yNi_{1-x-y})Sn_2$상임을 확인하였다.

가속열화시험 데이터를 활용한 엘리베이터 와이어로프 수명 예측 (Life Estimation of Elevator Wire Ropes Using Accelerated Degradation Test Data)

  • 엘리베이터 와이어로프의 수명은 제품의 매우 중요한 특성 가운데 하나로서 사용자의 안전 및 장비의 정비 정책과 밀접한 관계가 있다. 엘리베이터 와이어로프의 수명을 사용조건에서 측정하는 것은 매우 비경제적이다. 이 연구에서는 엘리베이터 와이어로프 (8x19W-IWRC)의 가속열화시험 데이터를 활용하여 와이어로프의 수명을 추정하는 방법을 다루었다. 굽힘피로시험기를 이용하여 가속열화시험을 진행하였으며 가속변수로는 인장하중을 사용하였다. 와이어로프의 수명은 대수정규분포를 가정하였고, 선형회귀모형을 이용하여 가수명을 구한 후 가속수명모형을 이용하여 와이어로프의 수명을 추정하는 방법과 고장 확률에 대한 로지스틱 회귀모형을 이용하여 추정하는 방법을 제시하고 두 모형의 수명 추정결과를 비교하였다.
