구속모형시험을 이용한 KCS 선형의 조종성능 추정 (Prediction of Maneuverability of KCS Using Captive Model Test)

  • Recently, ultra large scale of ship is being ordered continuously and because of that, the accurate prediction of ship maneuverability in design stage becomes important matter. The model test like PMM test or CFD analysis are representative methods for predicting the maneuverability of ship. In this study, the captive model tests were carried out for predicting maneuverability of MOERI container ship(KCS) which is opened to the public using X-Y Carriage of Ocean Engineering Wide Tank of University of Ulsan. Considering the dimensions of tank, 2m class model ship was used for captive model test. CMT(Circular Motion Test) was performed for obtaining purer hydrodynamic coefficients related to yawing velocity. For getting hydrodynamic coefficients which cannot be obtained using CMT, PMM test(Planar Motion Mechanism test) were also performed. The maneuverability prediction results by simulation are compared with those of other research institutes.

벽이 있는 용접 환경을 위한 용접선 검출 시스템 개발 (Development of seam tracking sensing system for welding environment with wall)

  • 선박 블록의 용접 공정에서는 용접선의 양쪽 끝이 벽에 의해 막혀있는 경우가 많다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 벽이 있는 환경에서 맞대기 용접의 자동화를 위한 용접선 검출 시스템을 개발하였다. 용접선 검출 시스템은 벽에서 캐리지의 위치를 측정하고, 초층의 용접선을 검출하게 된다. 시스템은 레이저 변위센서와 초음파센서로 구성되어 있다. 레이저 변위센서는 모터에 의해 회전 왕복 운동하며 용접 모재까지의 거리를 측정하게 되고, 초음파센서는 양쪽 벽면까지의 거리를 측정한다. 초음파센서로 측정된 거리정보를 활용하여 용접선의 X(주행)좌표와 용접 시작 및 끝 위치를 판별한다. 그리고 레이저 변위센서에 의해 측정된 거리정보와 센서의 자세정보를 활용하여 용접선의 Y(위빙), Z(높이)좌표를 검출하게 된다. 용접선 검출 시스템은 용접 캐리지와 독립적인 구동을 위해 DSP를 이용하여 별도의 제어기를 구성하였다. 용접 도중 용접선 검출 시스템과 용접 토치(Torch)와 간섭을 피하고, 측정 불가능한 구간이 발생하지 않도록 용접선 검출 시스템을 캐리지의 양쪽에 부착할 수 있게 설계하였다. 최종적으로 용접 캐리지에 부착하고 실험을 수행하여 개발된 용접선 검출 시스템의 효용성을 확인하였다.

유아원에 다니는 소아의 구인강 내 수막구균 보균율과 혈청군 (Carriage Rates and Serogroups of Neisseria meningitides in Children Attending Day Care Centers)

  • 목 적: 수막구균(Neisseria meningitides)은 패혈증, 수막염 등 침습성 질환의 중요한 원인의 하나이다. 최근에는 수막구균 다당질-단백 결합 백신이 개발되어 영아의 정기 접종에 포함된 국가도 있다. 우리 나라에서는 건강한 성인의 보유율에 관한 보고는 있으나 소아에서는 수막구균 보균율에 대한 체계적인 보고가 아직 없었다. 본 연구에서는 건강한 유소아를 대상으로 수막구균의 구인두 집락율과 혈청군을 알아 보고자 하였다. 방 법: 2005년 1-2월과 5월에 서울, 경기지역의 13개 어린이집과 유아원에 다니는 소아 904명을 대상으로 하였다. Calcium alginated cotton으로 구인두 점막을 세게 문질러 구인두 도말 검체를 채취한 후 즉시 수막구균 선택배지(modified New York City medium)에 접종하고 $CO_2$ 보육기에서 48시간 배양하였다. 수막구균 동정은 Vitek NHI card를 이용하였으며 중합효소 연쇄 반응을 이용하여 crgA 유전자를 검출하여 확인하였다. 확인된 수막구균은 N. meningitides antisera를 이용한 agglutination test로써 혈청형 A, B, C, D, 29E, W135, X, Y, Z에 대한 검사를 하였으며, 중합효소 연쇄 반응을 이용하여 org2, siaD 유전자의 다양성에 따라 혈청형 A, B, C, W135, Y 여부를 다시 확인하였다. 결 과: 구인두 도말을 채취한 904명의 소아 중 남아는 468명(52%) 이었고 대상 유소아의 연령 분포는 2세 미만이 59명(6.5%), 2세에서 5세 미만은 486명(53.8%), 5-6세는 338명(37.4%)이었고 7세 이상은 21명(2.3%)이었다. 수막구균은 7명의 구인두 검체에서 검출되어 수막구균 보균율은 0.8%이었다. 남아 3명에서 검출되었고 연령별로는 3세 미만에서는 검출 되지 않았고 3세, 4세, 5세 소아에서 각각 1명씩, 그리고 6세 소아 4명에서 검출되었다. 혈청형은 Y군이 3균주, C군과 A군이 각각 2균주이었다. 2군데 유아원에서 각각 2명씩 분리되었고 3군데 유아원에서 1명씩 분리 되었다. 2명이 분리된 유아원 중 한군데는 모두 혈청형 Y가 분리 되었고 다른 유아원에서는 C군과 Y군이 각각 한 명씩 분리되었다. 결 론: 유아원에 다니는 건강한 소아의 구인강내 수막구균 보유율은 매우 낮았으며, 분리된 수막구균의 혈청군은 A, C, Y군이 고루 분포하였다.

퍼지-PID 알고리즘을 이용한 필라멘트 와인딩 장력제어에 관한 연구 (A Study on Filament Winding Tension Control using a fuzzy-PID Algorithm)

  • This thesis develops a fuzzy-PID control algorithm for control the filament winding tension. It is developed by applying classical PID control technique to a fuzzy logic controller. It is composed of a fuzzy-PI controller and a fuzzy-D controller. The fuzzy-PI controller uses error and integrated error as inputs, and the fuzzy-D controller uses derivative of error as input. The fuzzy-PI controller uses Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy inference system, and the fuzzy-D controller uses Mamdani fuzzy inference system. The fuzzy rule base for the fuzzy-PI controller is designed using 19 rules, and the fuzzy rule base for the fuzzy-D controller is designed using 5 rules. A test-bed is set-up for verifying the effectiveness of the developing control algorithm in control the filament winding tension. It is composed of a mandrel, a carriage, a force sensor, a driving roller, nip rollers, a creel, and a real-time control system. Nip rollers apply a vertical force to a filament, and the driving roller drives it. The real-time control system is developed by using MATLAB/xPC Target. First, experiments for showing the inherent problems of an open-loop control scheme in a filament winding are performed. Then, experiments for showing the robustness of the developing fuzzy-PID control algorithm are performed under various working conditions occurring in a filament winding such as mandrel rotating speed change, carriage traversing, spool radius change, and reference input change.

  • Recently, ship maneuverability has been very important issue due to accidents of frequent occurrence at sea. IMO standards for ship maneuverability were applied from January 1, 2004. In this study, maneuverability model tests were considered through a 2m-class KVLCC1 in the Ocean Engineering Wide Tank at University of Ulsan(UOU). Circular Motion Test(CMT) was performed to obtain the maneuvering coefficients by using X-Y Carriage. The trajectories simulated using the coefficients are compared with those of PMM test and free running test.

  • As environmental vibration requirements on precision equipments get more stringent, use of pneumatic vibration isolators becomes more crucial and, hence, their dynamic performance needs to be further improved. Dynamic behavior of those pneumatic vibration isolation tables is very important to both manufacturer and customer as performance specifications. Together with conventional transmissibility, transient response characteristics are another critical performance index especially when movements of components, e.g., x-y tables, of the precision equipments are very dynamic. In this paper, analysis on transient response of a pneumatic vibration isolation table loaded by a mass moving on it is presented. This is a conventional dynamics problem on a rigid body with 6 degree of freedom and a mass with another degree of freedom. How to obtain transient responses of the isolation table is described when the movements of the mass are prescribed relative to the table.

Simulation of Conceptual Designs of a Three-Surface Stealth Strike Fighter

  • A conceptual design of a three-surface strike fighter was studied and stealth performance was taken into account to enhance survivability and battle effectiveness. CATIA was used to design the aircraft's three-dimensional prototype model and the weapon carriage arrangement was also studied. The aircraft's RCS characteristics and distributions under X, S, C, and L bands were simulated using the RCSPlus software, which is based on the PO method. Pressure and velocity distributions of the flow field were also simulated using CFD. A turbulence model was based on standard $k-{\varepsilon}$ function and N-S functions were used during the CFD computation. Lift coefficients, drag coefficients, and lift-to-drag ratio were obtained by aerodynamic simulation. The results showed that: (1) the average value of head-on RCS between ${\pm}30^{\circ}$ is below -3.197 dBsm, and (2) the lift coefficient is 0.34674, the drag coefficient is 0.04275, and the lift-to-drag ratio is 8.11087 when the attack angle is $2.5^{\circ}$.

스텝 붙이 활주형 모터보트 선미부가물의 횡요저감효과에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Anti-rolling Effect of Stem Sub-body in the Stepped-Hull Planing Boat)

  • It is hard to find experimental data for a model test of small high-speed planning boats. It is difficult to verify the performance seen in a model test for a high-speed boat because the ship-model scale-ratio is very small and the flow velocity of the circulating water channel and the X-carriage speed of the towing tank are restricted. Therefore most hull-form designs for high-speed small boats depend on the sea-trial test result for similar boats or evaluation through numerical calculations. This study investigated the anti-rolling effect of the stern sub-body in a 50-knot doss planning boat. To carry out this work, new model test procedures were set up in the actual sea. Using this method, the anti-rolling effect of the stern sub-body was investigated. A stern sub-body attached to a planning boat was proved to be effective in reducing the roll and pitch angle.

흉부손상에 의한 외상성 가사 4예 (Traumatic Asphyxia with Compressive Thoracic Injuries -4 Cases Report-)

  • A severe crushing injury of the chest produce a very striking syndrome referred to as traumatic asphyxia. This syndrome is characterized by bluish-red discoloration of the skin which is limited to the distribution of the valveless veins of the head and neck. And also if it is characterized by bilateral subconjunctival hemorrhages and neurological manifestations. But these clinical entities faded away progressively in a few weeks. Apporximately 90% of the patients who live for more than a few hours will recover from traumatic asphyxia when it occurs as a single entity. And so, death results from either severe associated injuries of from subsequent infection, rather than from pulmonary or cardiac insufficiency in traumatic asphyxia. We have experienced 4 cases of traumatic asphyxia with severe crushing thoracic injuries at department of the chest surgery, Captial Armed forces General Hospital during about 3 years from April 1977 to Aug. 1980. The 1st 22 year-old male was struct 2$\frac{1}{2}$ ton truck on the road and was transferred to this hospital immediately. He had taken tracheostomy due to severe dyspnea with contusion pneumonia and for removal of a large amount of bronchial secretion. The 2nd case was 23 year-old male who was got buried in a chasm. In this case, the heavy metal post tumbled over him back while at work. The 3rd case was 39 year-old male who leapt out of a window in 5th story while fire broke out in living room by oil stove heating. He had multiple rib fracture with right hemothor x and right colle's fracture and pelvic bone fracture. The last 22 year-old male was run over by a gun carriage. The wheel of this gun carriage passed over his thorax and right chin. He was brought to this hospital by helicopter. when he was first examined at emergency room, he was in semicomatose state and has pneurmomediastinum with multiple rib fracture and severe subcutaneous emphysema. As soon as he arrived, bilateral closed thoracostomy was performed and cardiopulmonary resuscitation was done. In hospital 8th weeks, chest series showed fibrothorax in right side even if chest wall stabilized. All 4 cases had multiple petechiae over their facees and chest and bilateral subconjunctival hemorrhages referred to as traumatic asphyxia. 3 cases except one case who received splenectomy, had been suffered from contusion pneumonia and had been treated with respiratory care. In these 3 cases, they had warning of impending injury before accident, and took a deep breath hold it and braces himself. And also, even if he had not impending fear in remaining one case, he had taken a deep breath and had got valsalva maneuver for pulling off the heavy metal post. Intrathoracic pressure rose suddenly and resulted to traumatic asphyxia in this situation. All these cases were recovered completely without sequelae except one fibrothorax, right.
