세계화, 정보화, 개방화 등으로 대변되는 오늘날의 불확실하고 변화 무방한 경영환경은 규모나 업종에 관계없이 모든 기업들로 하여금 과거와는 다른 경쟁무기를 강구할 것을 강요하고 있다. 이러한 흐름에 발맞추어 기업들은 인터넷, 특히 World Wide Web (WWW)의 활용에 지대한 관심을 기울이고 있다. 기업들이 WWW의 활용에 관심을 기울이는 목적은 여러 가지가 있을 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 기업들의 이러한 활동을 분석해 보기 위하여 미국의 대기업, 미국이외 지역의 대기업, 그리고 대형 Website들에 있어서 7가지 마케팅 활동을 위한 WWW의 활용도에 초점을 맞추었다. 본 연구의 결과에 의하면, 미국의 대기업과 미국이외 지역의 대기업은 주로 기업의 홍보(Public Relation)에, 대형 Website들은 주로 사용자들의 site 방문을 장려(Encouragement)하는데 WWW을 활용하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 본 연구는 미국의 대기업들은 대화형 안내책자 (Interactive Brochure)에도 WWW을 적극 활용하고 있으며, 대형 Website들과 미국이외 지역의 대기업들은 직접판매와 고객화 (Direct Sales and Customization)를 위한 WWW의 활용측면에서 상당히 다른 형태를 보여주고 있음을 보여주고 있다.

The easily use of WWW and Web browser of INTERNET makes the world our stage. But when we search for the information and resource that we want, the information supplied by search engine (e.g., Yahoo, Lycos, WebCrawler, Alta Vista) is inadequate to acquire the necessary and related information of research issues. This paper surveys AMT(Advanced Manufacturing Technology) which is the research topics recently on the WWW(WorLd Wide Web) and provides searching methods and information for academic research, technical report, proceedings, software, etc. It also briefly surveys WWW-VL(Virtual Library) and reviews the major three technology, CALS (Commerce At Light Speed), AMS(Agile Manufacturing System), CE(Concurrent Engineering), that is recently the focus of the research issue of Industrial Engineer.

World Wide Web정보는 인쇄출판물에 수반되는 편집상의 검토나 동료의 평가가 생략되기 때문에 학술정보로 사용될 경우 신빙성이나 권위 면에서 의심을 받게 된다. 따라서 학술정보로 사용할 수 있는 WWW 정보자원의 선택 기준이 필요하며, 이 기준을 개발하기 위하여 미국 15개 대학의 WWW 평가방법을 수집, 분석하여 공통의 평가기준을 추출하였다. 그 후 실 예를 통하여 웹문서내에서 저자사항, 출판자, 갱신일 등의 확인 안되는 문제의 해결방안을 제시하였다.

In this paper, we presetn the WWW (world-wide-web) base dtelePACS, which uses the communication network as asymmetric satellite data communication system (ASDCS). Web-based telePACS is imple-mented with JAVA language. Through the internet, web-based TelePACS can make it possible for remote hospital or doctor to access PACS data and information easily and cheaply. The ASDCS uses receive-only satellite links for data delivery and PSTN (Public switched telephone Network) modem or N-ISDN (narrow band integrate services digital network) for communication. The satellite communication linking shows the very high-seed performance such as 10-30 times faster than the modem linking.To solve the speed limits of internet, JPEG and wavelet compression methods were adapted in WWW-based TelePACS and were evaluated by PSNR (peak signal-to-noise ratio) and by radiological experts that 10:1 or less JPEG and wavelet compression may be acceptable for diagnostic purposes. Consequently, we get the conslusion that our system is suitable for tele-radiology and telemedicine world widely.

This study aims to apply World Wide Web(WWW) image files to visual material in lectures. Especially handles "Aesthetics of Landscape Architecture." Visual Materials of 800 web sites were searched and analyzed. It is found that web search needs a subject oriented web guide. It says now a need of application web material to lectures. Matching the web images with the subjects of lecture, above all, is the main approach of this study. Thus, a list up method is supposed, series of web image data to be inclusive in two tables. The data distribute on sub-subject, and applicant as materials in picturing objects of slide show, web guide, and single image. Two cases of lecture subjects were chosen in this study. A case that needs various visual materials and other case of advanced materials that needs a special web guide. Chance of results of this study is not yet fully clear in real lecture. It is sure, as an article of cyber lecture that provided result of increasingly participant's interest. By this study, it will be possible a fully made lecture material by further study.her study.

This growth if WWW(World Wide Web) with the spread of ADSL provides us with a variety of service that are the extensions of opportunities to get information. a various education methods by remote courses and electronic commerce. Remote Monitoring Server(RMS) that uses internet and WWW is constructed for chip mounter. Hardware base consists of RMS, chip mounter and C/S server. In this paper, we realize the remote management system with monitoring and diagnosis function to efficiently operate chip mounter the one of PCB assembly equipment. The remote management system for chip mounter consists of RMS(Remote Monitoring Server) and C/S server. RMS manages real-time information from chip mounter through TCP/IP. RMS that utilizes real-time information informs user of the actual output the operation status of chip mounter, user of the actual output, the operation status of chip mounter, the trouble code and the trouble description.

WWW(World Wide Web)은 인터넷에서 가장 널리 사용되고 있는 서비스 중의 하나로써 인터 넷 초기에는 일부의 계층에서 주로 교육, 연구용으로 사용하여 왔으나, 현재는 일반 사용자 계층에까지 파고들고 있다. 일반 사용자들의 참여로 인해 이제는 WWW가 상업용으로까지 이용되고 있는 실정이므로 안전한 WWW 통신의 구현이 필수적이다. 본 고에서는 안전한 WWW구축에 필요한 보안 요구사항들을 살펴보고, WWW에서 기본적으로 제공되는 보안 메카니즘과 현재 연구 개발중인 보안 기법들을 소개한다.
