The objective of this study was to investigate the impacts of working capital policy and strategy on a firm's performance including profitability and market value. By applying One-Sample T-Test, working capital investment and financing policies were classified into the three sub-policies and strategies: aggressive, moderate, and conservative, unlike previous studies using two sub- policies and strategies. The results showed that the SET-listed companies in all seven industry sectors primarily adopted an aggressive working capital investment policy and a conservative working capital financing policy, so-called as moderate working capital management strategy (MWS), at 49.40%. While the firms adopted and conservative working capital management strategy (CWS), 45.70%, followed by the aggressive working capital management strategy (AWS), at 4.90%. When examining the impacts among three-sub policies and strategies on a firm's performance, it was found that the conservative working capital financing policy led to the highest profitability and market value in all industry sectors. The findings also revealed that the aggressive strategy has no impact on a firm's performance in terms of profitability and market value.

In this research we investigate the effect return on assets, return on equity, profit margin and earnings per share on working capital management. Current ratio and quick ratio used as proxies for working capital management. The research sample includes 451 year -firm of Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) listed companies for period 2007-10. The multiple linear regressions were applied to test the research hypotheses. The results showed that, return on assets and earnings per share have a negative impact on working capital management. The results also show that earnings per share and profit margin positively associated with the firm performance.

The purpose of this study is to embody the integrated working management system for public works, focused on the management of surplus soil at a field of public works. The contents and results of this study can be classified into the design of working management DB for public works and the embodiment of working management DB. First, the design of working management DB for public works consists of three DBs - process management to analyze work plan and performance. for backhoe loader, working management and resources management for equipment and labor management - in connection with work and resources classification system. Secondly, the working management system for public works can describe work plan and performance on a floor plan using graphic. Based on this, the status of process and progress report with visual expression had been developed to facilitate the communications and performance of duties among staff in charge at the field of public works. This study is a specialized system for a company specializing in public works and a system that can be put into practical use if practicality is proved through test-bed with regard to business.

Firms can use working capital management which is one of the essential determinants to influence their profitability. The main theme of present study is to investigate the relationship between working capital management and profitability of Tobacco Industry of Pakistan. This study is based on secondary data collected from financial statements of selected companies of Tobacco Industry of Pakistan for the period of 2005-2014. For data analysis, both descriptive and inferential statistics were used. Correlation analysis is used to check the relationship between the variables, while multiple regression analysis is used to examine the effects of working capital management on profitability of firms. The result reveals that there is a strong negative relationship between variables of working capital management and profitability of Tobacco Industry of Pakistan. This means that as the cash conversion cycle increases, it will lead to declining of firm profitability and managers can create a positive value for shareholders by reducing the cash conversion cycle at optimal level. The study concludes that managers can create value for shareholders by managing the working capital well designed and implemented, and by keeping each components of it at optimal level.

Background: The present rapid shift of industrialization from developed to developing countries requires developing countries to understand issues related to work organization, management, and working conditions. There are many factors slackening production, of which working conditions is part. A complete inquiry into the workers' working conditions can enable managements to reduce risks in the workplaces and improve productivity. Understanding and awareness of the benefits of workplace research and a probe into the working conditions in the Ugandan apparel assembly plants are urgently required. Methods: A total of 103 (70 women and 33 men) workers from five different plants were interviewed. Together with the top management of various plants, questionnaires about the workers' opinions of their physical working conditions were prepared. Data was collected using two methods: (1) questionnaire; and (2) observation of the workers during their work. Results: The results indicated that poor plant working conditions were mainly contributed by the workers' social factors and the management policies. Conclusion: The government, together with the management, should work to improve the working conditions in the apparel assembly plants, as it greatly affects both.

Construction victims have increased year by year. Disaster proportion is also increasing continuously. Looking over the causes of disasters by each type of work, fall from working platform indicate the highest rate above all so that it is urgently required to set up safety measures. This study is to grasp the present status of construction accidents, to identify areal characteristics of the top 20% accidents on the basis of working platforms with the highest accident rate, to grasp the causes of accidents after their analyses, and to present methods to reduce casualties related to working platforms. As measures to reduce construction disasters, this study proposes to improve safety management and training on working platforms, to complement safety regulations, and to better performance including the development and expansion of certified products suitable for safety regulations.

This thesis aimed examine the relationship between the health characteristics (musculoskeletal, respiratory, skin, digestive, nervous mental system) of cosmetologists and their demographic, health management, and working environment characteristics to help cosmetologists maintain a healthy work life while solving health problems. These research was carried out via survey and statistics analysis. A total of 279 cosmetologists living in Seoul, Kyeongkido, and Choongchungdo from 8 July to 30 August, 2014 were surveyed. Frequency, mean, factor, and regression analysis were carried out on the data with SPSS(V. 14). The results were as follows; (1) a relationship between health & the demographic characteristics of gender was found;- (2) health and the health management characteristics of interest in health problem prevention, active exterior health support, muscular exercise, interior health support, and stress management were found to be related;- (3) health and working the environment characteristics of working time per day, and work days per week were related.

In this study, it was researched a kind of the press machines which had been retained in the domestic press working companies. Using structural equation modeling, the study aims to investigate the causal relationship between working capital policies and working capital indicators on firm performance, including profitability and market value (SEM). The samples of 381 firms were selected from various industries listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) from 2016 to 2020. The results showed that 1) there is an effect of working capital policies on profitability and market value; 2) there is an effect of working capital indicators on profitability and market value and 3) there is the effect of profitability on market value. From the results, it is suggested that conservative working capital investment policy (CIP) and conservative working capital financing policy (CFP) affect a company's performance in the Thailand context. In addition, shortening the cash conversion cycle (CCC) should be applied in management to increase profitability by reducing the receivables collection period (RCP) and inventory conversion period (ICP) while increasing the payables deferral period (PDP). The practical implications of the study provide the evidence that meeting the dues according to short CCC management can represent healthy liquidity in cash flow that helps gain investor confidence and the investment interest that further increases the market value.

In this paper, the authors discussed the overview of a method for estimating working area for development of a monitoring system for labor management using RFID technology. RSSI (Receive Signal Strength Indication) data of RFID tag was obtained from readers set around the indoor space. An estimating model of the working area was prepared. The model had a range of the percentage of correctly classified from 61% to 95%. According to the result, the possibility of the monitoring system and the factors necessary to develop for practical were proposed.
